Sarah tried to use her senses to interfere with the black figure's actions. "I can sense that its consciousness is confused, as if it's been affected by some kind of drug or toxin!"

Just then, the red and blue figures suddenly spoke: "It's being controlled by an alien species called a 'symbiote'!"

This information shocked everyone. Extraterrestrial beings? This was beyond the scope of any case they had handled before.

"Who are you?" Lynn shouted at the red and blue figure.

“I am Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man,” the red and blue figure replied. “I have been tracking this imposter controlled by the symbiote.”

“What is a symbiote?” Emily asked as a doctor.

“It’s an alien parasitic organism that can fuse with its host, enhancing the host’s abilities, but at the same time controlling the host’s consciousness,” Peter explained. “It makes the host extremely violent and aggressive.”

At that moment, Michael's team arrived from the other end of the alley. Chen Kai used his teleportation ability to appear directly behind the black figure, attempting to subdue it.

But the black figure reacted faster than expected; it attacked backward almost instinctively, and Chen Kai barely managed to dodge the fatal blow by teleporting.

"This thing's reaction speed is too fast!" Chen Kai exclaimed.

Carlos tried to trap the black figure with an energy barrier, but the claws were able to cut through his barrier.

"My barrier has been breached!" Carlos reported in shock.

Michael was analyzing the energy signature of the black figure using a portable device. "This biosignal is very peculiar, unlike any life form on Earth!"

Seeing the FBI team's predicament, Peter Parker decided to rejoin the fight, declaring, "We need to work together to take it down!"

"What suggestions do you have?" Lynn asked.

“The symbiote has weaknesses,” Peter explained. “Strong sound waves and high temperatures can damage it, forcing it to leave its host.”

"Michael, do you have a device to generate high-frequency sound waves?" Lynn asked immediately.

“I can use these electronic devices to make a temporary sound wave generator,” Michael began, “but it will take a few minutes.”

“We’ll buy you time,” Lynn decided.

The battle resumes, this time with an FBI special task force and Spider-Man teaming up against the black figure controlled by the symbiote.

Peter's experience was invaluable in the fight; he knew how to predict and respond to the symbiote's attack patterns. The FBI team's diverse capabilities also provided new strategies for the battle.

Sarah used her perception to predict attacks, Chen Kai used teleportation to provide rapid support, Carlos's barrier could not completely stop the claws, but it could slow down the attack speed, and Emily was ready to heal the wounded at any time.

"The sonic equipment is ready!" Michael reported loudly.

"Everyone back off!" Lynn commanded.

Michael activated the makeshift sound generator, and piercing high-frequency sound waves filled the entire alley.

The black figure immediately reacted in pain, clutching its head and letting out an even more furious roar. More importantly, the black substance covering its body began to peel away, revealing its true, hidden form.

"It's working!" Peter exclaimed excitedly. "Keep going!"

Under the continuous sonic attack, the black symbiote finally detached completely from its host. The host, a white male in his thirties, lay unconscious on the ground, while the symbiote turned into a black, viscous mass, wriggling on the ground trying to find a new host.

“Don’t let it come into contact with anyone!” Peter warned.

Emily immediately rushed to the unconscious man and began checking his vital signs. "He's still alive, but very weak; the symbiote may have drained a large amount of his life force."

Carlos used an energy barrier to contain the writhing symbiote, but they all knew this was only a temporary measure.

“We need specialized containment equipment,” Peter said. “The symbiote is extremely dangerous; we can’t let it escape.”

“I’ll contact headquarters and request special containment support,” Lynn said, taking out his communicator.

Just then, the unconscious man began to awaken. He slowly opened his eyes and looked very confused as he saw his surroundings.

"Where am I?" he asked weakly.

“You’re safe,” Emily comforted gently. “You were controlled by an alien creature, but you’re free now.”

"Alien beings?" The man was even more confused. "I can't remember. I only remember some chaotic images."

"What's your name?" Lynn asked.

“Eddie Block,” the man replied, “I’m a journalist. But I don’t remember anything from the last few days.”

Lynn realized the name was familiar. "Eddie Block, aren't you the reporter who's been investigating Nova Technologies?"

Eddie's eyes cleared a little. "Yes, I was investigating some of their suspicious activities. But then..."

“What happened next?” Sarah asked patiently.

“I remember receiving an anonymous message saying there was important evidence,” Eddie tried to recall. “I went to an abandoned warehouse and then I don’t remember anything else.”

This information is important. If Eddie was deliberately led to contact with the symbiote, then there may be a larger conspiracy behind it.

“Where is that warehouse?” Lynn asked.

“In the port area, near the river, in an old building,” Eddie replied.

Just then, Lynn's communicator rang. A message from headquarters read: "The containment team is on their way and is expected to arrive in ten minutes."

“Very good,” Lynn responded, then turned to Peter, “Mr. Parker, thank you for your help. But we need to learn more about this symbiote.”

“I’m willing to cooperate,” Peter nodded. “This creature is a threat to the entire city.”

“There’s another question,” Emily said, a thought suddenly occurring to her, “How did the symbiotes get to Earth? It couldn’t have been a coincidence.”

This is indeed a crucial question. The appearance of extraterrestrial life could not possibly be a coincidence, especially given that it occurred so soon after the Nova Technologies robbery.

“We need to investigate that abandoned warehouse,” Lynn decided. “Eddie, can you take us there?”

“I…I’m not sure I can remember the exact location,” Eddie said hesitantly. “My memories of the time I was under symbiote control are hazy.” “That’s alright, we have ways to help you recall,” Emily said, “but first you’ll need a full medical examination.”

The containment team finally arrived at the scene, bringing with them specially designed containment equipment. The symbiote was safely transferred to a special container, the interior of which was kept under high-frequency sound waves to prevent the symbiote from escaping.

“This organism will be sent to a top-security laboratory for research,” the head of the containment team told Lynn.

“Please share the research findings with us promptly,” Lynn requested. “This may be related to a case we are currently investigating.”

Eddie Brock was taken to the hospital for a full examination, while Peter Parker agreed to cooperate with the FBI, providing expertise on symbiotes and superpowered crimes.

“This case is far more complex than we imagined,” Lynn told the team on the way back. “We not only need to recover the stolen technology, but also determine the origin and purpose of the symbiote.”

"Do you think there's a connection between the two?" Sarah asked.

“Very likely,” Lynn analyzed. “The timing is too coincidental. Nova Technologies was robbed, and then the symbiote-controlled fake Spider-Man appeared. There might be someone manipulating the whole thing.”

"So what should we do next?" Michael asked.

“First, we need more information about Nova Technologies, especially their recent research projects,” Lynn outlined the plan. “Second, investigate the abandoned warehouse Eddie mentioned. Finally, we need to find out who’s behind all this.”

Upon returning to the FBI field office, Lynn immediately convened a team meeting. This was the most complex case they had encountered since the team's formation, requiring careful planning and coordination.

"Based on the information we've gathered today, we're not facing a simple robbery," Lynn summarized, "but a complex event that could involve extraterrestrial life, advanced technology, and a large-scale conspiracy."

Inside the meeting room, Peter Parker removed his mask, revealing a young but tired face. He was about twenty-five years old, with brown hair and deep-set eyes that conveyed maturity and a sense of responsibility.

“Before we go into detail, I’d like to know about your first encounter with the symbiote,” Lynn said bluntly. “Any details could be important to our investigation.”

Peter took a deep breath; clearly, this memory wasn't easy for him. "That was three months ago, specifically the evening of October 15th."

“Where?” Sarah asked, already prepared to jot down important information.

“It was an abandoned factory in Brooklyn, an industrial area near the riverbank,” Peter recalled. “At the time, I was tracking a small criminal group that specialized in stealing high-tech equipment and reselling it to black market buyers.”

Lynn exchanged a glance with Michael, signaling him to start recording the location information.

“Was there anything special about that night?” Emily asked.

“Not at first,” Peter continued. “I followed the thieves to the factory, intending to stop their transaction. But when I got there, I found something very strange.”

"What's strange about it?" Lynn pressed.

“There’s a makeshift laboratory in the factory,” Peter’s expression turned serious. “It’s not one of those rudimentary drug manufacturing facilities, but a well-equipped biological research lab. It has petri dishes, microscopes, and some complex equipment I’ve never seen before.”

Carlos frowned. "Thieves setting up a biological laboratory?"

“No, it wasn’t them,” Peter shook his head. “The thieves were already dead when I arrived.”

This information instantly heightened the tension in the meeting room.

"Dead?" Lynn asked seriously. "How did he die?"

“It looks like he was attacked by some kind of wild animal,” Peter described. “There are deep scratches and bite marks, but the shape of the wounds is peculiar, unlike anything caused by any known animal.”

“And then?” Sarah urged.

“As I was examining the site, I heard a sound coming from deep within the laboratory,” Peter continued. “It was a sound I had never heard before, like liquid flowing, yet with a biological quality.”

Lynn gestured for him to continue.

“I carefully approached the source of the sound and found several large glass containers,” Peter recalled, “containing a black, viscous substance that was slowly wriggling as if it were alive.”

"So that's a symbiote?" Michael asked.

“One of them was, but I didn’t know it at the time,” Peter nodded. “I thought it was just some kind of experimental chemical. But when I got closer to look, one of the containers suddenly broke.”

Emily asked nervously, "And then that symbiote attacked you?"

“Yes, but not immediately,” Peter clarified. “The black substance first crawled on the ground, seemingly searching for something. Then it suddenly jumped up and tried to attach itself to me.”

"How did you escape?" Chen Kai asked curiously.

“My spider-sense saved me at the crucial moment,” Peter explained. “I sensed immense danger and instinctively dodged. But the symbiote didn’t give up; it started tracking me, moving incredibly fast.”

Lynn noticed a detail: "You said 'one of the containers,' meaning there are others?"

“Yes, there were at least three more containers, all containing a similar black substance,” Peter confirmed. “But I didn’t have time to examine them closely because the escaped symbiote was chasing me.”

"How did you finally get rid of it?" Carlos asked.

“I remembered what I learned in science class: many parasites are sensitive to certain stimuli,” Peter said. “There was an abandoned boiler room in the factory, and I detonated some of the remaining fuel, which produced a huge noise and flames.”

“High temperatures and sound waves,” Emily understood, “are like the methods we use today to separate symbiotes.”

“That’s right, that experience taught me about the weaknesses of symbiotes,” Peter nodded, “but it also made me realize how dangerous these creatures are.”

Lynn thought for a moment, then asked, "Is that lab still there?"

“When I went back to check the next day, the whole place had been completely cleaned up,” Peter shook his head, “as if it had never existed. All the equipment, the bodies, even the building structure had been thoroughly removed.”

“That’s strange,” Michael analyzed. “Completely cleaning up the scene overnight would require a lot of manpower and specialized equipment.”

Lynn stood up and began pacing around the conference room. "Peter, have you encountered anything similar since then?"

“There have been a few, but they were all sporadic encounters,” Peter replied. “About every two to three weeks, I’ll find traces of the symbiote in different parts of the city. Usually, someone suddenly exhibits unusual aggression and strength, then returns to normal a few days later, but has no memory of that time.”

“Just like Eddie Brock today,” Sarah concluded.

“Exactly the same,” Peter confirmed. “I’ve been tracking these cases, trying to find out the origin and purpose of the symbiotes.” (End of Chapter)
