Lynn took the coffee and nodded gratefully. "Thank you. Everyone needs to be on high alert today. The Crows won't give up their plans easily."

Sarah leaned against the window: "Do you think the electric current will actually appear? Considering he was injured just last night."

Lynn took a sip of his coffee. "He'll definitely come. This plan is too important to Black Crow; he won't hand it over to anyone else. Besides, according to your interrogation, the energy conversion device requires his abilities to function."

As they were talking, Mark suddenly shouted, "Lynn! We've detected unusual power fluctuations! They're coming from the stadium's underground parking garage!"

Lynn immediately put down her coffee cup and rushed to the monitor screen. The screen displayed live footage of the underground parking garage. An ordinary repair truck was parked there, and several people in work clothes were unloading some large equipment boxes from the truck.

“Zoom in on that image,” Lynn ordered, squinting at the workers, “to confirm their identities.”

Mark typed on the keyboard, zooming in on one of the men's faces: "The facial recognition system didn't match, but their work IDs appear to be forged. The real repair company has confirmed that no such work is scheduled for today."

Lynn immediately made a decision: "Johnson, lead the Alpha team to the underground parking garage immediately, but keep your distance and don't alert them. We need to confirm what's in those boxes and their true identities."

Johnson nodded in acceptance and led a group of agents away from the command center. Lynn continued to monitor the surveillance footage; the "workers" had already pushed the equipment container onto the freight elevator.

"Where are they going?" Lynn asked.

Mark quickly switched to the freight elevator monitor: "They pressed the button for level B3, which is the lowest level of the stadium, usually used to store large equipment and backup generators."

Lynn immediately contacted Johnson through the headset: "They're heading to B3, probably intending to install equipment there. Approach cautiously, confirm their identities, and report back immediately. Don't make any rash moves."

“Roger that,” Johnson’s voice came through the headset. “We are approaching level B3 in the down tunnel.”

A few minutes later, Johnson's report came in: "We've reached level B3. The target is installing some kind of large device in the storage area. Six suspects have been identified, all unidentified. No electrical current has been detected. The device appears to be some kind of large transmitter or energy device."

Lynn thought for a moment: "Keep monitoring, but don't alert them. We need to confirm the location of the current and their complete plan."

Just then, Mark noticed something amiss: "Lynn, a group of suspicious individuals is entering the stadium through the staff entrance. One of them has a gait very similar to Electric's, but his face is obscured by a hat, making identification impossible."

Lynn quickly reviewed the new surveillance footage. Five people were entering through the staff entrance; they were wearing stadium staff uniforms, but one of them was noticeably limping, likely from the electric shock that had injured his leg the previous night.

“Beta Team,” Lynn ordered through his headset, “immediately proceed to the staff entrance and intercept those five suspicious individuals. Use maximum caution; there may be a mutant threat.”

Lynn turned to Sarah: “We need to deal with two threats simultaneously: the installation team on B3 and the potential intruder, the Current. Once the Current's identity is confirmed, initiate the containment plan immediately.”

Sarah nodded and quickly began coordinating the actions of the various groups. Lynn, on the other hand, continued to closely monitor the two surveillance screens, calculating the best time to act.

Suddenly, on the surveillance footage at the employee entrance, the five suspicious individuals seemed to realize something and began to move faster towards the inside. One of them, who was limping, glanced back at the camera; although his hat brim obscured most of his face, his eyes, flashing with an electronic blue light, were unmistakably electric.

"Current confirmed!" Lynn announced loudly. "Attention all teams, the current has entered the stadium! Execute the encirclement plan immediately!"

Almost simultaneously, on the monitoring screen of level B3, the people installing the devices suddenly sped up their movements, as if they had also received some kind of alarm.

"They're in contact!" Mark exclaimed. "The current may have already detected our movements!"

Lynn immediately ordered: "Alpha Team, move out immediately and stop them from completing the device installation! Beta Team, hunt down Current and stop him from reaching the central area at all costs! All personnel, activate the suppressors!"

An emergency operation unfolded instantly within the stadium. Through the surveillance footage, Lynn saw the Alpha team storm the B3 storage area and engage in firefight with the Black Crow members who had installed the devices. Meanwhile, the Beta team was pursuing the Current group, but they appeared to have scattered and were fleeing in different directions.

“I have to be involved myself,” Lynn told Sarah. “You’ll coordinate from the command center, I’ll go after the Current.”

Lynn quickly checked his equipment: suppressor, tranquilizer gun, bulletproof vest—everything was ready. He rushed out of the command center and ran along the nearest passage to the location where the current had last appeared.

The stadium's internal structure was complex. Lynn constantly received position reports from various groups through his headset, adjusting his pursuit route accordingly. Current seemed very familiar with the stadium's layout, moving nimbly between passageways and floors, shaking off most of his pursuers.

“Lynn,” Mark’s voice came through the headset, “according to the surveillance footage, the current is moving towards the technical tunnel in the center of the arena. That’s connected to the stage mechanisms for the halftime show.”

Lynn quickly changed direction: "All teams near the central area, proceed to the technical tunnel immediately! The current must be stopped from reaching there!"

Lynn sprinted, navigating the complex corridors and passageways, finally arriving at the technical door leading to the center of the arena. The door had been forcibly opened; clearly, electricity had just passed through it.

Lynn cautiously pushed open the door and entered the technical area beneath the central arena. It was a spacious area filled with various mechanical and electronic devices used for special effects and set design during matches and performances. In the distance, Lynn saw a familiar figure operating a massive device—electricity.

The current seemed to sense Lynn's presence, raising its head and revealing a cold smile: "Agent Hall, I knew you would come to stop me personally."

Lynn raised the tranquilizer gun, aiming at the current: "It's over, Coleman. Your plan has been foiled, the B3 level device is under our control, and your accomplices have all been captured."

Electricity chuckled, seemingly unconcerned: "You really think those are just a decoy? The real device has always been here, right in the center of the area, waiting for me to activate it."

Lynn then noticed that the device behind the current was plugged into the main power source in the center of the arena, and above it, a small container was flashing blue, filled with a silver liquid, most likely the "Kalberg Gene Enhancer." "You're insane," Lynn said. "That enhancer will kill the vast majority of people. You're planning a massacre."

Electric's eyes gleamed with fanaticism: "This isn't slaughter, Agent Hall, this is evolution. Only the most powerful humans can withstand this transformation, becoming the new mutants. We're simply accelerating the process of natural selection."

Lynn took a step forward: "I won't let you do that."

Electricity raised his hands, sparks dancing on his fingertips: "You can't stop me. Once this device is activated, energy waves will spread throughout the stadium, activating the enhancers. A new era of mutants is about to begin."

Lynn knew he had to act immediately. He pressed the deactivation switch behind his neck and pulled the trigger, sending the tranquilizer dart hurtling towards the electric current. But the current reacted swiftly, and an electrical barrier instantly formed in front of him, blocking the dart.

“Your little toy is useless against me,” Electricity sneered. “My abilities far exceed your imagination.”

But Lynn noticed that the suppressor did have some effect on the current; his electrical barrier was noticeably weaker than it had been at the dock the previous night. His leg injury also limited his mobility.

Lynn quickly analyzed the situation and decided to take a risky tactic. He feigned retreat, then suddenly rolled to the side, firing three tranquilizer darts in quick succession, forcing the current to be distracted and maintain the barrier. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Lynn quickly closed in and pounced on the current.

The two wrestled, with Electric attempting to shock Lynn with his electricity, but the suppressor's effect greatly weakened his power. Lynn grabbed Electric's wrist and slammed him to the ground, trying to subdue him.

“You don’t understand what you’re fighting,” Electric roared in struggle. “Mutants are the future; ordinary people will eventually be eliminated. Black Crow is just helping history move forward!”

Lynn slammed the electric current to the ground: "History doesn't need to be advanced with the lives of innocents. Your and Black Crow's insane plan ends here."

Just as Lynn was about to put the special handcuffs on the electric current, it suddenly erupted with a powerful burst of energy, knocking Lynn back several steps. Lynn felt his whole body go numb, and the suppressor was burned out by the powerful current.

The current struggled to its feet and lunged at the control panel: "You can't stop the tide of evolution!" It placed its hands on the device, channeling all its electrical energy into it, and the device immediately lit up with a blinding blue light.

"No!" Lynn endured the pain and rushed toward the device, but it was too late; the current had already activated the energy conversion process.

The device began to vibrate, the blue light grew stronger, and the enhancer container at the top began to spin, seemingly preparing to release its contents. Lynn knew he had to stop it immediately, or everyone in the stadium would be in danger.

He drew his pistol, aimed at the most vulnerable part of the device—the connection point of the enhancer container—and decisively pulled the trigger. The bullet hit its target precisely, severing the container's connecting pipe and spraying out a silvery liquid, but it did not enter the release system.

The current roared angrily, "You've ruined everything!" It unleashed its full power, striking Lynn directly. Lynn dodged quickly, but was still struck by a portion of the current, feeling intense pain.

Just then, the agents of the Beta team finally arrived and surrounded Current from all sides. Current looked around and realized that he had nowhere to escape, but a strange smile appeared on his lips.

“This is just the beginning, Agent Hall,” his body began to flicker with an unstable blue light, “Black Crow’s plans extend far beyond this. We have organizations all over the world, and today’s setback is merely a temporary setback.”

Lynn noticed the unusual activity on Electricity: "Everyone back off! He's going to self-destruct!"

The agents evacuated quickly, but Lynn rushed to the device, attempting to shut it down to prevent a possible secondary explosion. The electric body began releasing increasingly powerful electrical energy, and the lights throughout the technology area began flashing wildly.

“Goodbye, Agent Hall,” Current said finally. “Looking forward to seeing you again.”

With a blinding flash of blue light, the electric current dissolved into pure energy and vanished into thin air. A massive energy wave spread outwards, but because the enhancer container had been destroyed, it did not cause the anticipated catastrophic consequences. The device emitted a violent explosion, but the blast radius was confined to the technical zone.

Lynn was thrown to the ground by the shockwave of the explosion, but quickly got up and directed the agents to control the scene: "Make sure the device is completely shut down! Collect all remaining enhancer samples, handle with care, they may be highly dangerous!"

As the smoke cleared, Lynn walked toward the badly damaged device. The current had disappeared, but no body remained, meaning he had likely escaped using some form of teleportation technology, rather than actually self-destructing.

"Lynn!" Sarah rushed over. "Are you alright?"

Lynn shook her head, dispelling the dizziness: "I'm fine. What about the current?"

“They’ve disappeared, and no bodies have been found,” Sarah replied. “But the operation on B3 was a success; we captured all the Black Crow members who had installed camouflage devices.”

Lynn looked around, confirming the crisis was over: "Inform Chief Wilson that Project 'Reaper' has been thwarted, but the current escaped. We need to continue tracking the other Black Crow bases and members."

As the situation gradually stabilized, Lynn left the technical area and went to the edge of the stadium. Inside, spectators were gradually entering the stadium, completely unaware of the danger that had just occurred. They excitedly found their seats, anticipating an exciting game, completely oblivious to the fact that the FBI had just narrowly escaped a disaster that could have resulted in tens of thousands of casualties, unseen by them.

Sarah walked over to Lynn: "Mark is analyzing the wreckage, hoping to find more clues about Project Black Crow."

Lynn nodded. “We need to increase surveillance of all large events, while also conducting a thorough investigation into the Black Crow’s other bases. The Current says they have organizations all over the world, and this may not just be a problem in New York.”

Sarah looked at Lynn with concern: "Do you think they'll try a similar plan again?"

Lynn's expression hardened: "Almost certainly. But whatever they plan, we will stop them. That's our duty."

As the game was about to begin, Lynn and Sarah left the stadium and returned to the command center. (End of Chapter)
