Chapter 881 Three people in action

Chapter 881 Two-Person Operation
"Then why did you ask him for help..." Jian Gongzhai looked over with a puzzled expression.

“Because of the Index of Prohibited Books, we can ask him to help us with some things,” Steele said. “But this matter is very clear; it is an ‘internal matter’ between our Cross sects, so we don’t need to involve outsiders.”

“That makes sense.” Jian Gongzhai nodded. His personality and style meant he didn’t like to involve unrelated people.

Previously, he simply hadn't accurately grasped Touma Kamijou's identity and stance, but now that Stiyl had explained, he naturally wouldn't continue to expect the so-called "reinforcements."

“However…” After explaining, Stiyl frowned, “We might actually be able to get reinforcements, that guy…”

—If that Lin Wuming disregards the "tacit understanding" between the scientific and magical sides and doesn't mind meddling in other people's business...

Whether it was good or bad luck, it wasn't long before Stiyl received the news that he had guessed correctly.

The Amakusa-style Cross Church also sent people out to investigate, and it was through them that the message came back that a car was seen stopping outside the Osora Church.

And then they saw two people get out of the car. One of them was Touma Kamijou, whom they had just parted ways with not long ago, and the other was a boy in a wheelchair who seemed to have difficulty walking.

"They actually came!" Stiyl jumped up immediately upon hearing the news. "Does Touma Kamijou have that much influence? Or is Lin Wuming really that helpful?"

"They just went in like that? Two people?" Kenji Zai also asked hurriedly.

“That’s right,” the Amakusa-style member who returned with the news nodded. “Not long after they entered the church, they heard sounds of fighting coming from inside. Itsuki observed from the back door of the church and didn’t see anyone else.”

"Are all the people in Academy City this bold? Or do they not understand the strength of the nun squad?" Kenji said. "This is troublesome. It will take us time to get there... By the way, how powerful is that Lin Wuming?"

“That’s impressive,” a new voice suddenly rang out. “After all, it’s a Level 5 in Academy City. If you get there too late, the battle over there might already be over.”

"Tsuchimikado Motoharu, you're finally back?" Stiyl frowned. "Where did you go just now...?"

When they got into a fight in the hotel, it was Tsuchimikado Motoharu who appeared in time to help resolve the misunderstanding and facilitate their current cooperation.

However, when they went out of the city to rescue Sister Osora, Tsuchimikado Motoharu disappeared again.

Even Stiyl, as his companion, couldn't help but complain about this elusive guy.

However, when he turned around, Stiyl's rebuke was immediately forgotten.

The Amakusa-style Cross Cult members around them fell into a deathly silence.

"Her...Her Highness!" With Kengu Sai's call, the scene seemed to come alive, and the Amakusa-style men and women entered a state of near-frenzied excitement.

Stiyl recognized the familiar figure; the Saint Kanzaki Kaori stood quietly behind Tsuchimikado Motoharu.

Tsuchimikado Motoharu pushed up his sunglasses and gave Stiyl a smug smile, using that as his answer to the question from earlier.

"You bastard..." Stiyl cursed inwardly.

Tsuchimikado Motoharu must have known the truth all along and had already reunited with Kanzaki Kaori.

However, they remained silent and observed how things developed, only revealing the truth at this crucial moment...

Having learned of Orsola Aquinas's true situation, Stiyl knew, of course, that Kanzaki Kaori had not "betrayed" him.

He even suspected that the High Bishop had long anticipated things would turn out this way. In the end, only he, the one actually doing the work, was busy running around in vain.

Without giving the Amakusa-style members time for reminiscing and catching up, Tsuchimikado Motoharu rather spoiled the mood by urging, "Now is not the time to chat. Let's get moving, or we'll really be late!"

After his reminder, Jian Gongzhai and the others remembered that they still had important things to do.

The reason he led all the members of the Amakusa Cross Cult, risking offending the Roman Catholic Church to help Orsola Aquinas, was to prove to Pope Kanzaki Kaori that even if she was no longer part of the Amakusa Cult, they would continue to uphold and practice her ideals and beliefs, and extend a helping hand to all those in need.

—It is certainly a joyful thing to have unexpectedly reunited with Kanzaki Kaori, but it is even more important to prove to her the progress and achievements we have made in the past few days.

"That's enough rest. Head to the Church of Orsola. Get there as fast as you can!" Jian Gongzhai shouted.

The crowd around him echoed in unison, and then they swarmed out, running towards a parking lot not far away.

The three members belonging to the Anglican Church remained at the back, watching the Amakusa-style members who were becoming excited as if they had been injected with chicken blood. Kanzaki Kaori had a complicated expression.

Steele understood how she felt, but now was not the time to say such things: "Let's hurry up and catch up. I don't want to run ten kilometers on foot."

“We should indeed hurry,” Tsuchimikado Motoharu nodded. “Like I said before, if we go too late, it might really be too late. Internal disputes between the Christian factions are relatively easy to handle, but if it escalates into a conflict with the science faction… that would be really troublesome.”

"You mean..." Steele finally understood, "Lin Wuming will win?"

“Of course, without a doubt.” Tsuchimikado Motoharu nodded. “And we’ll win quickly, which is why we need to hurry over there…”

……

Two minutes ago, Lin Wuming's car stopped in front of the Osola Church, their destination.

Lin Wuming and Kamijou Touma got off the bus one after the other.

Since neither of them were magicians, and they arrived in a luxury car, the nun in charge of reconnaissance and vigilance never considered them a threat.

It wasn't until they saw Touma Kamijou's face clearly that they finally realized he was an "enemy".

But it was too late; Lin Wuming had already maneuvered his wheelchair and stormed into the church!

Sister Agnes's forces set up a barrier at the entrance of the church, but such a barrier was meaningless in the face of "Imagine Breaker".

Lin Wuming and Kamijou Touma moved through the church as if it were empty, arriving directly in the center.

Then they saw a large group of nuns gathered there, and Osora Aquinas lying on the ground, her life hanging in the balance.

Sister Agnes hadn't expected that only two people would dare to break in and rescue people. She was a beat slow to react before giving the order: "Eliminate the intruders!"

The two hundred or so nuns around them moved at the command, and they focused their attention on Lin Wuming and Kamijou Touma as a whole.

"Just...just the two of us?" Touma Kamijou suddenly panicked.
