Old Gods, Rapid-Fire Guns, and Prohibition

Chapter 273 [Holiday in the Royal Capital]

Chapter 273 [Holiday in the Royal Capital]

Ethan naturally learned about the situation in the South District as well.

However, today's events have truly exceeded his expectations.

Unexpected events occurred one after another.

He never expected that West would target him and even manage to block his connection with Vasini.

It wasn't until he completely stopped acting that he received Vasini's plea again.

Fortunately, Vasini did not die.

But that Western bandit leader named Trevor was no ordinary man either; in fact, if we're only talking about destructiveness, even Karst couldn't compare.

Indeed, the capital city is a place where hidden talents abound.

One karst has been defeated, but there are many more powerful ones to come.

It is no easy task to spread the faith of the Dark Savior throughout this place.

Ethan was currently eating at a Western-style snack shop on the street with Einbad.

There's no way around it; once you leave the slums, you're in the territory of Western gangsters. Most of the buildings here are Western-style, and the snacks are naturally Western-style too.

Ethan didn't want to eat it at first, but unfortunately, Ainbez seemed to have his eye on the raw blood drink and raw beef salad.

So Ethan had no choice but to order one for her.

"Aren't you going to eat?"

Einbeze curiously flipped through the raw beef salad that looked like a pool of blood, then glanced at Ethan and noticed that he didn't seem to have ordered it.

"I have no appetite."

Ethan is okay with raw food; he often eats sashimi in Winston, but raw beef is a different story.

"No, you have to eat it, just one bite."

Ayn Betz, however, was unreasonable. She picked up a huge piece of raw beef with her fork, along with some vegetables, and was about to put it to Ethan's mouth.

"I can do it myself..."

Ethan quickly refused.

"No, I want to feed you!"

The princess displayed the aura of a princess.

Ethan was about to say something.

Suddenly, several loud whistles rang out from the side.

"Hey, little girl, your man doesn't seem to want to talk to you. Why don't you feed me? I love beef, and you'll be even better at feeding me. But it's best to do it with your mouth."

The whistling came from a nearby Western-style bar. A few men dressed as cowboys came out and saw Ethan and his group. One of the bearded men said something while unconsciously rubbing his crotch.

This action completely killed Einbezez's appetite.

"Let's go, Ethan."

She threw down her fork and got up to leave.

"Hey? You're leaving already? No way! We haven't even officially met yet, little girl. Haha, guys, come and see! It's unbelievable that such a pretty girl would visit our godforsaken place."

The bearded cowboy gave a whistle, and several more men rushed out of the bar, their waists bulging, clearly carrying guns.

They all lit up when they saw Einbeze, and surrounded her with ill intent.

Ethan sighed, "You'd better not do anything rash, this is..."

"Don't mention my name."

Einbezem immediately interrupted Ethan, then sat back down, looking like she was watching a good show.

"Who is this, kid? Tell me, is she your wife? Or your fiancée? But she seems to prefer spending time with us."

The bearded cowboy had already stood in front of Ethan. "Here's what we'll do, you can get lost now, otherwise, you're going to suffer a lot, I guarantee it'll be a suffering you never want to experience in your life."

"Actually, this kid is quite good-looking..."

Someone let out a strange laugh.

Ethan could only satisfy the princess's sudden playful urge, and suddenly struck, knocking the bearded cowboy to the ground.

His current true name strength, even without weapons, is something that ordinary true name practitioners cannot contend with, let alone ordinary people.

Seeing this, the other cowboys immediately pulled out their revolvers and were about to shoot him.

As a result, naturally, not a single bullet could be fired.

The ability to blaspheme the sanctuary was fully unleashed, rendering firearms completely ineffective.

In the blink of an eye, Ethan had completely defeated the group of cowboys.

Then, he grabbed Einbeze, who was still watching the show, and ran towards the stables.

"You...what are you doing?"

Einbezet was enjoying the show when she was suddenly pulled up, which made her a little flustered.

"I'll help you escape, Your Highness. There are more than just these people."

Sure enough, as soon as Ethan finished speaking, the cowboys who had been knocked down started shouting again, and more of their accomplices rushed out from all corners to search for Ethan and his men.

Meanwhile, Ethan had already mounted a horse he'd picked up randomly from the stable, pulled Einbeze along, and started galloping away.

"Quick, they've stolen the horse, and they're here!"

The cowboys mounted their horses and began the chase.

Einbeze, who was slightly flustered at first, immediately became excited after being blown by the wind.

With her arm around Ethan's waist, she looked at the pursuers behind her and shouted, "Hurry, hurry, they're catching up!"

They raced all the way out of the territory of the Western gangs, and Ethan and Einbad reached the West Side's arts district. Only then did the cowboys stop, watching them from afar.

Ethan and Einbetz burst into laughter at the same time, and laughed for a long time.

"So, Your Highness, are you satisfied now?"

"No, I don't want to go back yet. Take me to the beach instead. I've never been on a boat before."

Einbeze still didn't want to go back.

Ethan had no choice but to dismount with her and board a public tram, heading towards the East End.

Along the way, they encountered many people searching for Einbeze.

Not wanting to be discovered, Einbezeh actually snuggled into Ethan's arms.

"Don't move... Just this once, let me be willful, okay?"

Her voice was so soft that Ethan couldn't bring himself to refuse her request.

The tram traveled eastward until it finally arrived at the seaside.

Looking out over the vast ocean, Ethan rented a small boat at the dock.

When boarding the ship, Ethan asked Einbeze a question.

Why were you in the trunk?

This was indeed a question that Ethan couldn't understand. Einbeze didn't seem to be that powerful. Maybe she didn't even have true power?
After hearing this, Einbeze gave a sly smile. She deliberately leaned close to Ethan's ear and whispered, "I won't tell you. It's a secret."

After saying that, she ran to the bow of the ship, opened her arms to the sea breeze, and her loose dress fluttered in the wind. She seemed to be enjoying herself, as if she had transformed into a bird in that moment.

At that moment, her holiday, which belonged only to her, seemed to stretch on indefinitely.
