Chapter 323 The Moria Brothers

Was Hamilton being kept as a pet? Or did he do something to prevent the Spider Queen from killing him?

Li En and Sophie slowly approached the spider queen.

The little spiders spotted Li En and Sophie and hissed as a warning.

A group of enormous spiders crawled out of the maze and appeared in front of the two, blocking their path.

This spider must be a guardian created by the Spider Queen; they all possess hard exoskeletons and sharp hairy legs.

The spider guards spit out spider silk, trying to stick Li En and Sophie to the spot, but the two jumped up and avoided the spider silk.

The spider silk clumps stuck to the ground, quickly making the ground incredibly sticky. Once a person stepped on it, they couldn't escape and could only become prey.

Li En drew Enzo, the blade slicing a silver arc through the dark blue spider silk, severing the silk that was wrapping around Sophie's ankle.

Six giant spiders simultaneously raised their forelimbs, the barbs at the ends of their segments gleaming with a dark green, poisonous light under the green fluorescence.

Sophie's silver hair fluttered in the wind, and ice crystals condensed at her fingertips, forming rotating prisms.

"Frost Ring!" A three-meter-diameter ice ring exploded close to the ground, instantly freezing the eight legs of the two spiders at the front to the ground.

Seizing the half-second opening, Li En leaped into the air, his sword tip precisely piercing the seam of the spider's carapace between its compound eyes. Dark green blood gushed out, and Enzo continued to penetrate, severing the giant spider in two.

The remaining four spiders sprayed venom wildly, corroding holes in Li En's animal skin cloak.

Sophie cast an ice spell, and the spider web beneath their feet was suddenly covered in frost, forming a sliding ice path.

She glided rapidly across the ice, ice spikes raining down on the softest, hairiest part of the spider's abdomen.

As the last spider guard collapsed, a chilling tremor suddenly came from the ground.

Stalactites fell from the cave ceiling, and deep within the spiderweb-woven throne, eight scarlet eyes lit up one after another.

The moment the Spider Queen's arthropods pierced the darkness, Li En finally understood why Hamilton had survived until now.

This guy swallowed all the Blessed Crystals at the crucial moment, thus gaining the "Crystal Swallower" trait.

The Spider Queen spared Hamilton's life because of the gift of the crystal.

Hamilton looked pained. The moment he saw Lee, it was like seeing a lifeline. He tried to crawl out of the Spider Queen's control, but his body had only crawled forward 2cm when the Spider Queen lowered her other leg and blocked his way.

Hamilton dared not move again, and could only plead with his eyes.

Hopefully, Li En, this chosen one, can truly descend like a god and save him from his dire straits.

Hamilton's army had been completely wiped out, and now he just wanted to get out of this hellhole as soon as possible.

The blessed crystal was inside his stomach, causing him immense discomfort, and he didn't know if he could survive.

Sophie and Li En exchanged a glance and reached a consensus.

Sophie was tasked with luring the Spider Queen away, while Li Enlai rescued the people.

A chilling aura erupted from Sophie's fingertips, coalescing into a giant ice spider.

Sophie rode atop the ice spider, directly confronting the gigantic Spider Queen.

The Spider Queen was indeed attracted to Sophie, but she didn't seem to intend to give up Hamilton. Instead, she had another mouth hidden in her abdomen, intending to swallow the Gift Crystal along with Hamilton.

Hamilton cried out in despair, "No! Help me!"

A frost spear shot from Sophie's hand, severing the spider leg that the Spider Queen was using to hold Hamilton.

Hamilton fell to the ground.

The Spider Queen was completely enraged by Sophie, and she charged at Sophie, dragging her broken leg.

As the Spider Queen moved, the entire spider cave began to shake, and the little spiders poured out like a locust plague.

Li En quickly reached Hamilton's side and rescued him before he was swallowed by the swarm of spiders.

Sophie rode the Frost Giant Spider deep into the cave, intending to lure the Spider Queen away.

Li En and Hamilton mounted the Broken Tooth Lynx and charged toward the exit.

The swarm of spiders followed closely behind, trying to engulf Li En, Hamilton, and the Broken Tooth Lynx. Li En fed the Broken Tooth Lynx several Blessing Crystals, causing it to instantly swell several times in size and increase in speed, leaving all the snow spiders behind.

Even after leaving the cave entrance, Hamilton couldn't believe he had been rescued.

The Broken Tooth Lynx ran wildly, without looking back, heading towards the camp.

"Thank you, thank you, God's chosen one."

Hamilton said with utmost reverence.

"You should thank Sophie for saving you."

Li En said lightly.

"Sophie? Is that the name of the female knight?"

"She's a witch."

Li En no longer hides Sophie's true identity. After what happened with Aisley, he feels it's important for these people to know that they were saved by the witch.

"A witch? She's a witch?"

Hamilton said in surprise.

Li En nodded. "Yes, she is a witch."

"Then... will the witch be killed by the Spider Queen?"

Hamilton suddenly became worried about Sophie's situation, knowing that his elite knights had been completely wiped out.

Are you worried that she will die, or that she will lose control?

Lee En asked.

Hamilton felt a sense of shame at being exposed. He was genuinely worried that the witch would lose control and that she would be no match for the Spider Queen, allowing those terrifying spiders to catch up with her.

"She will win."

Li En said in a calm tone.

A gust of wind and snow swept by, and the snowflakes swirled in the air, eventually coalescing into the shape of Sophie.

Sophie stood lightly on the head of the Broken Tooth Lynx, her gaze gentle.

"You're back."

Li En said.

Sophie nodded slightly and handed a complete piece of the Gift Crystal to Li En.

The Gift Crystal is still stained with the Spider Queen's blood.

Hamilton saw the Gift Crystal and remembered the whole piece he had swallowed, and his stomach ached again.

"Honorable God's Chosen One, is there any way to remove the crystal from my stomach? I feel like I'm about to die."

"Let's go back first."

The Broken Tooth Lynx led the three towards the camp, and the snowstorm quickly covered their footprints.

After running at top speed through the snow for about two hours, the three of them finally returned to the camp.

Li En stroked the head of the Broken Tooth Snow Lynx, which frowned and, under Li En's gaze, spat out the few pieces of Blessing Crystal. Its size shrank back to normal, and it turned away sullenly. Only when Li En tossed it a piece of bear meat did it begin to wag its tail.

"You are finally back."

Field breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Lee.

Because Li En was determined to go out and rescue the other Moria descendants, the entire adventure team dared not sleep, fearing that something new might happen during the night.

It has to be said that Li En and Sophie brought a great sense of security to the team. When they left, everyone became passively vigilant.

Hamilton, how are you?

Montoya, Brown, and Stowe saw their former brothers and went to take Hamilton away.

Hamilton lay by the warm campfire, looking at the familiar faces of his brothers, and sighed.
"I swallowed the Blessing Crystal, and now I feel terrible. I didn't have any other choice at the time. I thought I would gain power like the monster, but nothing happened. It seems that the Blessing Crystal is useless to humans."

"Good heavens, you actually swallowed the Blessed Crystal! How did you do that? I remember your team had accumulated over a hundred crystals," Field said gleefully.

Hamilton rolled his eyes. "It's all because of this bastard son. I really don't want to see him."

"You're about to die, and you still care whether I'm an illegitimate child or not."

Field found it somewhat amusing.

Hamilton sighed. "Well, it is like this, I don't think anyone can save me, but I still thank God for rescuing me from the spider's hole. It's better to die here than inside a spider's belly. If possible, please hold a mass for me."

"Dream on, Hamilton. You still think you're in the North."

Field said.

"Field, say less."

Montoya looked at Li En, "Li En, is there any way to save Hamilton?"

"Yes, we can perform surgery. If any of you have a good surgeon, we can save him right now."

Li En said.

"Surgery? Is it the same as brain surgery? Let me die. Rather than having my stomach cut open and lying in blood, I'd rather die peacefully. Give me some anesthesia. I'm in so much pain I can't breathe."

Hamilton said.

"Lord Li En, please let me try."

The wizard Kerser came over carrying a bowl of foul-smelling herbs.

The Moriahs made way for him.

Hamilton's face contorted in pain. "Is this the poison that will free me?"

"I am 80% confident that it can help you get out of this predicament."

"That's what the wizard Kerser said."

Hamilton looked at Li En. "Honorable Chosen One, is there any other way?"

He genuinely believed it was poison.

“You can call me Li En or Team Leader, just like they do.”

Li En said, "I have no other choice at the moment."

He worried that if he removed the "Crystal Eater" attribute from Hamilton, the crystal inside Hamilton would disappear, resulting in the team losing more than a hundred fragments.

The wizard Kerser handed the herbs to Hamilton.

"Drink it."

Hamilton, with a mournful face, drank the bowl of herbs under the watchful eyes of his many brothers.

"I hope I can die peacefully in my sleep, without any awareness, so that I can maintain my final dignity."

As soon as he finished speaking, Hamilton felt his abdomen hurt even more, and then there was a sound of air rubbing together inside the tent.

Puff, puff puff—

Hamilton kept farting, and his face grew increasingly pale.

Because he could no longer maintain his noble status.

"How could this happen? What did you feed me?"

Hamilton's face turned bright red, and he stared at the wizard Kerser with a distorted expression.

"Some laxatives and stomach protectants will make you fine soon, trust me."

"That's what the wizard Kerser said."

Field covered his mouth, which was about to bulge out of shape with laughter. "Hamilton, you're such a stinky fart. I doubt anyone in the Moria family will ever fart as badly as you. Believe me, from now on, the 'respectable Hamilton' will have to be preceded by the prefix 'the man who farts the most.'"

"Field, I'm going to kill you."

Hamilton was in pain and felt wronged, feeling that his dignity had been completely destroyed. This was even more unbearable than being pressed down on by the Spider Queen as a pet.

Unfortunately, he had no way to control the airflow in his stomach and intestines.

"Two people, take him out and let him take care of his personal hygiene."

As soon as Li En spoke, two knights who had covered their noses came in and took Hamilton out.

To prevent Hamilton from freezing to death in temperatures tens of degrees below zero, the knights specially set up a small tent for him to take care of his personal hygiene.

He struggled inside the small tent for more than two hours before finally pulling out the Gift Crystal.

Two valiant knights cleaned the crystals and brought them back to the main camp.

Li En gave all the crystals to Field, and the two knights also respectfully handed Field the processed blessing crystals.

Field looked disdainfully at the crystal shard in the knight's hand.

"Can I say no?"

Li En shook his head. "No, Field, have you forgotten to be a responsible person?"

Field was mocking Hamilton before, now it's everyone else's turn to mock him.

Field pinched his nose with one hand and took the crystal shard with the other.

All the fragments merged together, and the fist-sized crystal emitted a soft glow.

"Such a large piece of crystal should be enough to open the door and let us leave, right?"

Field said.

"I don't know how to open it yet, Wizard Kerser, do you have a way?"

Li En looked at the old wizard Kerser.

“Great Lord, I will find a way as soon as possible.”

"Kerser said humbly."

Apart from the night watchmen, everyone sat around the campfire inside the large tent waiting for dawn, and many people fell asleep leaning against each other because they were exhausted.

Several Morias gathered together and chatted, the firewood crackling and popping.

"Do you remember when we were little? We used to sit around the campfire together and listen to our uncles tell stories about fighting monsters."

"Yes, but we've all grown up now."

"Hamilton had diarrhea frequently when he was a child, he must have forgotten about it himself."

"No, Brown, you're spreading rumors. Who's like you, wetting the bed at three? You shameless bastard."

Hamilton insisted.

"I thought I was going to die this time. Thank you, Lee En."

Montoya said to Li En.

"It's alright. Am I disturbing your childhood memories by being here?"

Lee En asked.

"No, although you didn't grow up with us, you are still a member of the Moria family, just like Field. In the end, we are all brothers."

Brown said that after everything that had happened with the Cracks, they had come to accept Rean and Field’s place in the Moria family, especially Rean.

Without Li En, most of them would have died long ago.

"I wonder how Isaac is doing now."

"Yes, Isaac and Miss Esley went to rescue Anton and the others. I wonder how things are going."

They began to worry about Isaac. Although Isaac had a witch and a female knight by his side, his own strength was not as great as Li En's.

"It's almost dawn, are you sure you don't want to rest for a while?"
