Durin's Diary

Chapter 900

Chapter 900 (The last part is incomplete and doesn't translate well.)

Dulin stood by the roadside, waiting for the little girl to make up her mind.

Reed came to his side and took a seashell out of her pocket, as if showing off a treasure she had found: "It's big, isn't it?"

Dulin smiled and nodded. It was indeed very large, almost as big as a goblin's head. It was just a pity that fate played a trick on it. It ended up being washed ashore for some unknown reason, and then fell into Lid's hands for some unknown reason.

"Okay! I'll go with you to Xilu and take a look." At this moment, Xiangshu finally made up her mind.

Dulin sighed and snapped his fingers: "Let's go back and find a restaurant to have dinner."

“I know a restaurant that’s absolutely delicious.” Xiang Shu ran quickly to Du Lin’s side. “But it’s quite far from here. Could you open the door? It’s around 1500 Chang’an Street. Can you give me the location, or should I tell you the coordinates?”

“No need. I think I walked around here today. Let me check.” Dulin said, as he searched through his memories and found the information. Then, with a flick of his hand, a portal opened.

Xiang Shu was the first to go in.

"They're quite outgoing," Dulin said, glancing at his girls before smiling and following them inside.

As soon as he stepped outside, Dulin was quite satisfied with his position on the sidewalk. He was becoming more and more proficient in coordinate positioning, which was good. Moreover, since this time he was in the Shangjing city cluster due to the short-range teleportation, Dulin was not worried about the alarm at the Zhulong Pavilion at all.

Xiang Shu pointed to a hotel not far away: "It's over there."

Dulin took one look and chuckled—the hotel's name was quite nice, "Xiangjian Huan," which was the place he had eaten at last time.

You know what, the food was pretty good, all very fresh. This girl really has good taste.

With this in mind, Dulin snapped his fingers, and the group of five headed towards Xiangjianhuan.

Upon entering, Du Lin did not see the two elderly ladies, but the waiter behind the counter recognized Xiang Shu: "Shu Gong... Miss, what brings you here to meet me today?"

Lan En, standing next to Du Lin, also chuckled—clearly, with three Zhulong standing there, the waiter was even having trouble speaking.

"Come and have a meal, a small room, five people, and serve the best dishes. My sister here is a dragon from the Western Continent, there's no banquet she can't handle." Xiang Shu pointed to Lina, who immediately flapped her wings excitedly upon hearing the word "banquet".

Dulin rolled his eyes at her without saying a word—that's all the behavior you have. You get so happy over a little food. Aren't you ashamed?

Lina glanced at Dulin, then pretended not to see his eye roll—girls these days really go to great lengths for food.

"Okay, Miss Shu, please go to room 326." The waiter said, picking up a sign and handing it to Xiang Shu: "The two ladies said that if you come, they told us not to ask anything else, so please wait in room 326. We will serve the dishes as soon as possible."

Since that's what they said, Dulin followed the girls upstairs to the second floor.

As Dulin passed through the rest area, he noticed several little cubs looking in his direction. Dulin figured they were probably attracted by the three Candle Dragons and a dragon they didn't recognize—after all, it's quite intriguing to never have seen an unfamiliar dragon before, right?

With this thought in mind, Du Lin was about to head to the third floor with the girls when he suddenly heard a little boy behind him ask in surprise, "Is that Sister Lan En?"

Lan En, who was walking ahead, turned her head upon hearing the sound. She glanced at the little boy on the sofa and then smiled: "It's Brother Luo Guzi. What are you doing here today?"

"It really is Sister Lan En! Long time no see." The little brat said while looking Du Lin up and down: "Silver hair, you are Mr. Du Lin from the Western Continent, right?"

Du Lin nodded.

“What Mr. Dulin? Call him brother-in-law.” Lan En instructed with a smile. “Brother-in-law!” Upon hearing this, the little brat immediately called Dulin sweetly, which amused Dulin, who was prepared for a fight. He took out a box of candy from his pocket and tossed it to him: “Since you’ve called me brother-in-law, I have to give you a little gift. Don’t eat too much.”

"Thank you, brother-in-law," the young man said as he opened the box.

Looking at the pastries, although he didn't recognize their quality, the other boy beside him certainly did. He looked up at Dulin and exclaimed, "Pastries made with World Tree fruit powder?!"

Dulin nodded in agreement.

"Do I get to call you brother-in-law too?" The kid looked young, but his shameless manner pleased Dulin. There was nothing Dulin could do; since the kid had already called him that, he couldn't show favoritism. So, in the end, he gave each of the three little brats a box.

As they reached the third floor, Lan En smiled and introduced the backgrounds of the three boys to Du Lin—Luo Gu Zi was Luo Xiang Guo's nephew. Although he was of mixed race, he looked more like a human. Luo Xiang Guo had always been very good to Lan En, and he was happy to call him brother-in-law.

The other two children were his childhood friends; one was a child from the same clan, and the other was a relative of Lin Xiangguo. Neither of them were bad kids.

"Is this considered running into an acquaintance? Could it be described as returning home in glory?" Reed asked.

"It counts, but it doesn't," Lan En replied with a smile.

"What do you mean by 'it counts but it doesn't count'? I can understand Chang Tang language, but don't say it like that, it's confusing me," Lide said unhappily.

Lan En smiled and said, "I don't have the same resentment as before. For me, the past is the past."

“Oh, I see. That’s fine then.” Reed said, turning to look at Lina. “But you can’t eat that fish, so can you stop looking at it?”

"But it's so big, it looks like it could swallow us whole."

Lina ran over and pointed to the huge sturgeon in the integrated aquarium on the wall.

“Now that you mention it, it’s true. Are all the fish in Changtang this big?” Lide asked.

"No, it's just that this kind of fish is particularly large," Lan En replied.

As the group walked around the corner, they were met by another group of people.

For some reason, the leader's eyes turned red as soon as he saw the people in this direction. His underling reached out to hug him, but failed to hold on.

He walked over and stood in front of Dulin.

"Excuse me, are you Mr. Dulin?"

“Yes, I am Dulin.” Dulin said, a hint of doubt in his voice, “You are…”

“A nobody, but a nobody wants to challenge you.” He said, looking at Dulin. “I didn’t come prepared with white gloves, but don’t doubt my resolve.”

“I don’t doubt your resolve, but if you pull out the white glove, only one of us can survive.” Dulin could only sigh softly at this.

See, trouble always comes uninvited.
