Durin's Diary
Chapter 1076 Zhang Qingshen
Chapter 1076 Zhang Qingshen
When Dulin returned to Vienna, dawn was still breaking. He met Dulin in the hospital corridor.
"I underestimated myself and my opponents, and I didn't think much of them."
Upon seeing Dulin, the young man, who had lost a dragon horn and was blind in one eye, lowered his head.
"Besides the gold ingots, who else died?" Dulin asked.
Meanwhile, in the courtyard outside the window, a large, regular dimensional portal is forming.
“My squad, Gold Ingot, Salamander, and Sorcerer are all dead. The Stargazer was captured by his elven father early this morning.” Poole’s reply was bitter. He probably couldn’t understand why everything had been destroyed.
Just like you said, you underestimated your opponent. A being that can live for a thousand years, a being that can rule for eternity—what do you think those ambitious people and madmen would think?
They will be eager to jump out and use your death and their sacrifice to prove your fallacy.
My brother, you are still too young. You only remember sacrifice and dedication, forgetting that you are in me and I am in you. Why was your team ambushed? Why were those assassins lying in wait there? If it weren't for the three elders of the Circle of Truth risking their lives to help you, you would have been dead long ago.
Thinking of this, Dulin sighed deeply: "Where is his father, where does he live?"
Dulin asked the question as he walked towards the gate.
"Are you going over there? Then wait for me to gather the men, just a moment."
"Why should I go over there?" Dulin asked back, glancing at his brother.
The portal that had taken shape spat out a female elf in the next second.
"Miss Kaya, it's been a long time. Please have a seat." Dulin smiled and sat down. Dry tree stumps sprouted from the ground, and Dulin plopped down on them.
The entire hospital was reduced to ruins in an instant, and the whole world was engulfed in ashes.
The young elven woman looked around and then smiled somewhat awkwardly: "This is... Ashes?"
I'm letting you sit, but there has to be a place for you to sit. If there's no place, you have to stand. This is my first test for you. If you fail, you can go die.
Very good, you have passed the test.
Dulin sighed: "No, this is another realm of mine. The Nameless One and the God of Vengeance have left their authority in this world to me."
Dulin gestured for his brother to sit down while looking at the gate that was starting to open: "My brother Poole's squad has a half-elf named Stargazer. His father came and took him back this morning. Do you know his father's name?"
“I…” the young elven woman hesitated, for she saw the mark at her feet, a lie detector.
Moreover, Dulin's questioning was watertight—she knew exactly how to fabricate a story to claim she didn't know without alerting the police to her lie.
"You have fifteen seconds left, Miss Kaya, fourteen seconds, thirteen seconds," Dulin began the countdown.
"Thrandus Deep Forest." Kaya had no choice but to choose between dying herself and others.
Dulin nodded, and the next second, an elven male emerged from the portal.
“Welcome to the territory of Durin Elsh, Mr. Thranduth. As a member of the Deepwood family, I don’t know why you’ve come to arrest my brother’s security team members today. Are you afraid your child will die at the hands of your own people, or do you feel obligated to pull a boy, even a bastard, out of the clutches of death once the mission is completed?” Durin asked with a smile. The elven man stood up, looked around, and sighed, “Duchess Kaya, you’re here too.”
"Yes, I was the first one here. Maybe it's because you see me as Lord Dulin's lover." The young lady said, laughing loudly. "It's clearly your fault, why should we pay for it? I'm dying of laughter. Now my best brother has arrived."
"Kill me, I won't tell," the man said, smiling at Dulin.
Dulin sighed, and a young man fell out of the portal.
He was a stargazer, looking around somewhat blankly, when he saw Dulin and Poole. The young man immediately took two steps back.
This small movement made Poole sigh. He stood up, took out his revolver from his waist, and walked step by step toward the Stargazer. He looked at the young man's silk attire, then glanced at Dulin's cotton shirt, and finally asked his comrade with a trembling voice: "Comrade Stargazer, look at me. Did you betray Comrade Gold Ingot, Comrade Salamander, and Comrade Sorcerer?"
“No, it wasn’t me! It was them!” he screamed, the fork at his feet gleaming.
“I am disappointed, Stargazer. All sacrifices are the price. Three security teams, seventeen members, stained the road outside the palace walls with their blood… No betrayal is small enough for me to accept. On behalf of the organization, I will punish you.”
After saying that, he raised his gun.
The stargazer looked at Poole in despair: "They say you've become the Candle Dragon! You can live for a thousand years! You will become the most terrifying tyrant!"
Dulin raised his hand: "My brother, we have a guest. Please wait a moment."
Poole looked at Dulin: "Your guest, alright."
He lowered his gun and sighed, "I'm really disappointed, Stargazer. Our friendship, built up over the years, has been ruined by this one rumor."
“Mr. Poole, people change. We elves have seen too many young people like you, ravaged by time, becoming the very thing they once hated most.” The elven male standing there bowed slightly: “We had no choice but to eliminate you, and we are truly sorry for the casualties caused.”
Dulin stood up with a smile, looking at the elven god who walked through the portal.
He stood there, his toes lightly touching the ground, and from him, grass and trees sprouted, and the continent was reborn.
It was as if light flowed from his body, a pure energy that turned his waist-length hair into a golden waterfall. His face possessed the pointed ears and pointed chin characteristic of the elven race, a beauty that transcended time, with soft lines like the most exquisite sculpture.
He was dressed in classic attire, with golden light flowing against the current across the white fabric.
All of this demonstrated his divinity. He stood there, smiling as he looked at Dulin: "Lord Dulin, let mortals handle their own affairs. You and I are both gods, and we should not fall to the dust."
Du Lin smiled.
The next second, a sword appeared in Dulin's hand.
He stood up.
The whole world was ignited as he rose.
"Are you worthy?"
Du Lin asked with a smile.
