Hogwarts: Starting with full Unforgivable Curses

Chapter 337 Sirius Black: The Pensieve? Small change!

"I also added a revival spell and a removal spell, so that if anyone is affected by the magic, we can remedy the situation in time."

"There are also cleansing and healing spells. Although the healing spell is complicated to use, you can prepare some invigorating potions and white cinnamon essence in advance, and then use a summoning spell to summon them so that you can treat them immediately if you are injured."

"These spells are very practical, especially the spell to prevent water and fire from entering."

Dylan took the parchment, his gaze quickly settling on a particular line. He tapped it lightly with his finger. "The dragon's breath is much hotter than ordinary flames, and it also carries sulfurous venom. Ordinary protective spells simply cannot stop it."

"But the Water and Fire Immunity Spell can form an insulating barrier, which can at least reduce the direct damage from the dragon's breath to us. Even if it rains during the match, this spell can block the rain and prevent the wand from getting damp and malfunctioning."

As he spoke, he waved his wand, and a wisp of pale blue smoke emerged from the tip.

The smoke condensed in the air into a small human-shaped silhouette.

Immediately afterwards, Dylan whispered the incantation, and a transparent film instantly covered the surface of the outline.

"This is the effect of the Water and Fire Invulnerability Spell, which can protect the body in all directions."

He then waved his wand, and the smoke turned into a pile of messy stones: "When you encounter obstacles like these, it's easiest to clear them with a knockback spell."

"If you're dealing with agile creatures like cats and leopards, you can also use a knockback spell on a nearby tree trunk to make it fall down and block its path. It's very versatile."

The smoke changed shape as he explained, sometimes mimicking the flames spewed by a fire dragon being blocked by a barrier, and sometimes showing the trajectory of obstacles being knocked away by a spell. Every magical effect was clear and intuitive.

Harry and Draco watched intently, and even Cedric leaned forward slightly, his eyes full of focus.

They already knew Dylan was highly skilled in magic, but they never expected him to explain the principles of magic so thoroughly and even demonstrate the effects in real-world scenarios.

This is completely different from simply knowing how to use magic!

All three of them actually knew these basic spells, but many of the applications that Dylan mentioned were things they had never thought of before.

For example, the Ironclad Charm is not only used to block attacks, but it can also wrap the whole body when approaching a fire dragon to reduce the burning effect of the high temperature.

In addition to dispelling evil curses, the Extraction Spell can also draw out excess moisture from around the poisonous tentacle seeds, accelerating their germination.

What surprised them even more was that Dylan subtly incorporated ideas of war magic into his explanation: "When three or more wizards work together, they can cast basic synergy spells. For example, if we use a barrier spell on the same target at the same time, the spell's power will triple, which is enough to temporarily trap the fire dragon."

As the explanation drew to a close, Dylan's tone suddenly turned serious: "There's an important point I must remind you of: to coordinate the casting of the same spell, superficial understanding isn't enough; you also need deep trust. This is actually quite difficult, considering we used to belong to different academies and even had disagreements."

He changed the subject, glancing at the parchment and documents in the hands of the three men: "But today's discussion makes me feel that we can do it!"

"Everyone is willing to openly share the information and ideas they have found, without holding anything back. When they hear a novel idea, they work together to find loopholes and find solutions."

"These are things that can never be done alone, and they are our most valuable advantages as Hogwarts warriors."

Cedric nodded first, holding up the parchment in his hand: "That's right, the information we've gathered today alone is more than I could have gathered in a month of research by myself."

Although Draco didn't speak, he gave a soft "hmm" in agreement.

Harry nodded vigorously, his eyes filled with anticipation for the upcoming collaboration.

Check the dangerous creature response plan and the spell list one by one.

They also agreed to practice cooperative magic during their free time next week.

The four finally ended their discussion.

Harry picked up the scattered parchment and neatly folded it according to the houses.

Cedric carefully placed the vial containing Dylan's memories into the side pocket of his backpack.

Draco folded the information on the magical plants into cubes and stuffed them into the inner pocket of his robe.

Dylan checked the empty classroom one last time to make sure nothing was left behind, and then the four of them left the room one after another, heading towards their respective colleges.

Dylan went to the library.

Harry carried the organized documents toward the Gryffindor Tower, his steps much lighter than when he came.

The discussion just now was like clearing away the fog before my eyes, making the previously vague ideas for dealing with the situation crystal clear.

Occasionally, a few students would pass by in the corridor. When they saw the materials in his arms, they would smile and nod in greeting. Harry would respond to each one, and the warmth in his heart was more real than the sunshine.

He pushed open the door to the common room and headed straight for his dormitory. Just as he stepped onto the stairs, he faintly heard a familiar voice coming from the direction of his bedside table: "Harry, are you there?"

Harry stopped abruptly, slapping his forehead as he remembered.

It's the weekend, and he had already arranged to meet Sirius in Hogsmeade to discuss the Triwizard Tournament.

I was so engrossed in discussing the application of magic with Dylan and the others that I completely forgot about this matter. Every detail, from spell combinations to synergy techniques, was so captivating.

He quickened his pace and rushed into the dormitory. The moment he put down the documents, Sirius's voice rang out again, tinged with a hint of teasing: "You haven't gone on a date with some girl and forgotten all about your godfather, have you?"

Harry rushed to the bedside and grabbed the two-way mirror from the bedside table.

Sirius's smiling face was reflected in the mirror; his hair was more disheveled than when they last met, and his eyes were full of mockery.

"No! Absolutely not!" Harry hurriedly waved his hand, his cheeks slightly flushed. "Dylan, Cedric, Draco, and I were discussing the competition. We don't know what the first event is yet, so we need to prepare in advance."

"So it was about studying tactics with your comrades. That's more important than dating."

Sirius raised an eyebrow, the teasing in his smile fading considerably. "Looks like you two get along well? No arguments over the academy?"

These words struck a chord with Harry. He sat on the edge of the bed, his fingers tracing the edge of the mirror, his tone clearly appreciative: "Not just good, Dylan coordinated it exceptionally well."

“I used to think that Slytherin people were hard to get along with, especially Draco, but during this discussion, he not only brought out the information from his home, but also offered a plan for magical plants. He didn’t hold anything back.”

"Dylan also said that the three of us need to work together to complete the project, and we must trust each other. If there is any suspicion, it is easy for accidents to happen during the competition."

Harry continued, his tone becoming more firm, "We're fighting for Hogwarts now, and I don't want to ruin things because of my prejudice."

“That’s right, trust is the most powerful weapon in a team.” Sirius smiled approvingly, raised his hand and glanced out the window. “Don’t just talk about that. Honeydukes at Hogsmeade has freshly baked sugar biscuits this afternoon, and they’ll be gone if we don’t come soon. Come over here quickly and tell me what strategies you’ve come up with.”

"Coming, coming!" Harry immediately stood up, grabbed his coat from the back of the chair, and rushed out the door. Sirius's hearty laughter could be heard through the two-way mirror.

He hadn't forgotten to put Ron and Hermione on their feet.

As soon as they pushed open the wooden door of the Three Brooms Bar, a wave of heat mixed with the aroma of malt and toast wafted out.

The bar was packed on the weekend, with students in colorful academic robes crowding between tables and chairs, their laughter and the clinking of glasses filling the air, and even the atmosphere was filled with a lively, drunken vibe.

"Sirius is over there!" Hermione stood on tiptoe, peering over the throng of people, and pointed to the corner by the window.

Sirius Black was sitting at a round table, his black coat casually draped over the back of his chair, his hair still messy, yet he stood out in the crowd.

The three of them struggled through the crowd, having to occasionally dodge the waiters carrying trays, before finally reaching the table.

Harry practically pounced on him and gave Sirius a big hug: "Sirius!"

Although he could speak through the two-way mirror normally, the real body temperature and touch were far beyond what the mirror could provide, and Harry's voice was filled with barely suppressed excitement.

Sirius laughed and patted Harry on the back, so hard that Harry almost coughed: "Sit down, don't stand."

He pointed to the empty seats around him and said, "Order whatever you want to eat or drink, it's on me today."

"I'll go get a drink!" Ron's eyes lit up; he had been drawn in by the aroma of butterbeer wafting from the bar. He glanced towards the bar, then turned to Sirius and asked, "What would you like to drink?"

"Mead is fine, with two ice cubes." Sirius stroked his chin, watching Ron's retreating figure as he strode towards the bar, a nostalgic smile playing on his lips. "That kid's clever; he knows what you two like to drink without even asking."

His gaze drifted to the bar, as if he were looking back through the crowd: "When I was in school, when a few of us came here, Lu Ping was always the one who went to the bar."

“Every time, we don’t even have to ask. They can bring back James’s favorite Flaming Whiskey, my favorite mead, and Peter’s juice.”

"You must have teased him a lot back then, right?" Hermione replied with a smile, having heard Harry tell many amusing stories about Sirius's school days.

“Of course.” Sirius laughed even harder, his eyes gleaming with mischief. “We always tease him, saying that he must have a crush on Ms. Rosmerta, which is why he always rushes to the bar. Every time we say that, his ears turn bright red to the roots of his neck.”

Just then, Ron returned with a tray containing three cups of hot, frothy butterbeer and a cup of amber-colored mead.

The aroma of butter beer is exceptionally rich, and the foam on the surface sways gently, making one feel warm and cozy just looking at it.

Harry and Hermione picked up their cups, tilted their heads back, and took a big gulp. The warm liquid slid down their throats, and their cheeks instantly flushed slightly.

Sirius picked up his mead, took a small sip, and looked at Harry's face. He nodded and said, "I noticed something was off about you in the two-way mirror a few days ago. Your brows were furrowed so tightly they could trap a fly, and your dark circles were as heavy as a panda's."

"You look much better today. It seems the discussion this morning wasn't a waste of time. Tell me, what have you figured out?"

Hermione and Ron immediately looked at Harry, their eyes full of curiosity.

Harry and Dylan left in a hurry in the morning, without having a chance to ask about the results of the discussion.

Harry put down his cup and recounted in detail the analysis he had done with Dylan, Cedric, and Draco, from the possible encounter with fire dragons to the solutions using magical plants and synergistic spells.

“If we really face a fire dragon…” Ron listened, took another swig of butterbeer, let out a loud burp, and looked worried. “I don’t even want to think about what my mom will do when she finds out.”

“I know that clock, it’s an old Weasley piece, it’s quite interesting.”

Sirius laughed and agreed, then pressed on, "How exactly do you plan to carry it out? Combining Polymorph and Summoning Charms isn't an easy task."

Harry was about to continue when he remembered the Pensieve that Draco had prepared, and added, "Draco said he'd have his family send one over so we can see Dylan's memories of encountering the dragon. Cedric said it's quite valuable."

"It's just a meditation basin, it's not worth much." Sirius scoffed dismissively, his tone full of indifference. "Next time you encounter something that requires money to solve, don't try to outdo him in extravagance, just tell me and I'll get it for you."

"Isn't that a bit inappropriate?" Harry blinked, somewhat hesitantly. "We still have to compete with Draco. If we can get along well, let's avoid any conflicts."

“I agree with Harry,” Hermione nodded immediately. “Teamwork is the most important thing right now; there’s no need to argue over these little things.”

“Haha, you’re right, I was wrong to overlook that.” Sirius said with some emotion, “But this is really good, much better than back then. Back then, James and I never gave Slytherin a friendly look, our relationship was as stiff as ice.”

“It really depends on the person.” Harry thought of Regulus. Sirius had recently told him about this, saying that Dylan had solved a major crisis. “Like your brother Sirius, although he was also a Slytherin and had been a Death Eater, he ultimately sacrificed himself to destroy Voldemort’s Horcruxes. We can’t just label people based on the school.”

"Well said!" Sirius patted Harry on the shoulder with satisfaction, his eyes full of approval. "But we still need to be careful, and ultimately we'll have to see what he does."

He changed the subject and returned to the topic of the competition: "By the way, you said you collected a lot of spells? Let me see them. I just remembered one, the Eye Disease Spell. It should be quite effective against the fire dragon, as it can temporarily blind it."

Harry quickly pulled the parchment covered in spells from his pocket and handed it over.

Sirius unfolded the book and found it covered with spell names, usage instructions, and precautions, along with many symbols highlighting important points. He couldn't help but exclaim in admiration, "Wow, that's incredibly detailed!"

"Not all of them were collected by us."

Harry scratched his head a little sheepishly. "Many of the uses and techniques were Dylan's ideas; I just wrote them down." (End of Chapter)
