Chapter 399 The Great Demon of Necromancer, what is that? Block it!

817.m41 November 10

Even before the 'Time Key Star' stirred up the subspace waves, information from the Auger Matrix within various military observation posts allowed for a direct sense that the Dawn Sector, previously hampered by the plague, had suddenly begun operating at high speed.

Mobile forces from various star systems flocked to these areas, with hundreds of starships appearing from the subspace every now and then, following a strict plan, using thirteen fortress planets as nodes to surround the 'Time Key Star' in a staggered manner.

Among them is the elite Asgardian army, the Firstborn of Cadian Oath, which was not infected by the plague.

The Cardians are grateful for the great victory granted to them by the Dawnwings. Since the victory parade thirty years ago, the Cardians have sent their eldest sons, selected through rigorous processes, to the Dawn Sector, with the motto "To sacrifice oneself for humanity is the highest honor," to dedicate their blood to the cause of the Dawnwings.

It also boasts a magnificent navy built over the past thirty years by multiple forging worlds, including the Dawn Galaxy.

The main force consists of the "Queen of Glory" battleship, which was rebuilt based on the "Blood of Steel". Control of this warship was transferred to the old men from the loyalists of the rebel legion and directly incorporated into the command system of Dawnwing.

They once wanted to build an ideal world for all mankind. They were followers and companions of this great ideal. They struggled for a golden dream, but the road was long and arduous, full of hardships. In the end, it was indeed just a dream.

Now they are ready again and will set off once more.

They accepted the input of the Dawn Wings and then passed on their past and experience to these flowers nurtured in the 'greenhouse'.

Everything returned to its original state.

A large military force began to concentrate its attention on the outcome of an unprecedented event.

This determines whether they will raise their swords once again to bring hope to their galactic compatriots, or use their massive military force to completely destroy the enemies that emerge from this attempt, and then begin the next attempt.

Throughout the Dawn Sector, all eyes were fixed on the planet situated above the rift, existing simultaneously in the dimensions of reality, warp, and Avalon.

In an instant, the entire group fell silent.

An unsettling silence filled the halls and fortifications of 'Time Key Star'.

The scene before them began to change rapidly, and no words could describe the series of bizarre and wonderful sights that appeared during this process. If their minds had not been protected, and if they had not been warriors born through endless and harsh selection, they would probably have already lost their order by now.

The only sounds were the creaking and rattling that seemed to come from nowhere as the laws of physics were distorted, and the endless buzzing of flies.

Titus surveyed his surroundings. As a special member selected from various chapters, he followed the main force into the battlefield to adapt to the situation and, in the possible future, pass on the experience he gained back to his own chapter.

The real world has been torn apart.

The sky shattered and split apart like a fragile projection screen.

Outside the rift, beneath their feet, the real world remains unchanged. But inside the yellowed, foul-smelling rift, surrounded by thirteen towers, a vast garden teems with decay and merriment. An endless, deep yellow fog begins to invade everyone's vision, and damp, rotting creatures chase each other merrily within it.

Occasionally, decaying little lives merge with larger things, or fall from the massive creation to become part of this seemingly endless garden.

The main feature of this region is its layers upon layers of holes, enough to plunge any person with trypophobia into endless torment. And those holes continue to grow and multiply under the watchful eye of Titus.

The stench of decay began to waft out, and swarms of flies rose from the diseased plants, dragging their obese bodies through the weeping holes, before departing and buzzing across the swamp.

The 'Time Key' has plunged into this area, and its master has not yet discovered them.

The silence was unsettling, making people unable to help but feel claustrophobic.

They, belonging to the real universe, suddenly became all alone, as if abandoned here. What they saw and heard were the demons that emerged from those projections. The fear etched into the human soul began to brew and ferment in their consciousness.

During his routine inspection, Titus began to sense a growing unease among the crowd.

“Every time we step into this world again, we can clearly feel this discrimination.”

Someone whispered, his soul urging him to kneel, but his will still held him firmly in his grip on his weapon:
“You constantly remind us of our insignificance, our incompetence, and our easy death.”

He glared resentfully at the jubilant demons before him, trying to dispel the emotions surging in his mind, and recalling his mission.

These brave souls, who were participating in this test that was almost certainly a one-way trip, had held their posts for hours. This act of venturing into the domain of a warp god was far too dangerous; even just watching, the echoes of those evil creations were corroding their spirits.

Now, the silence prolongs their wait and erodes their remaining courage.

Until the appearance of the most radiant person.

"I don't think this is a luxury that only demons can enjoy."

The voice was like a clear spring, washing away the shadows that lingered in my heart.

With the crimson spear in his hand, Karna was the first to cross the path and step into the murky lake ahead.

The pool water quickly boiled, and dead fish and other dead aquatic creatures floated on the surface, with scavengers wriggling on top, before being completely consumed by the flames.

Nearby, everyone's eyes quickly focused on him.

"He needs to be more conspicuous."

When Ramses met Arthur on the platform of the Tower of Domination, he spoke frankly.

"What do you mean?"

Ramses asked in surprise.

“I mean Karna.”

Arthur said, "Seeing him in person can boost morale. He should show himself more. I don't have that kind of visual impact."

"I don't think this is something you should be worried about."

Ramses smiled and then explained his next move: "I've already locked onto the Great Demon of Tearful Plague. I'll lead men to chase after him. Make a big commotion so that it'll be easier for the Nineteenth Prince to make a move."

"Of course I know."

The Knight Lord kept his hand on the blade, gazing intently at the scene before him.

"That's the requirement."

Suddenly, a gust of wind whipped up the cloak.

"Here it comes!" As if responding to his companion, the moment his words fell—

The instant the barrier was breached, everyone saw a ring of airflow unfold in the air, and a 'meteor' burning due to the high temperature was rising.

The mortals, bewildered by the silence, and the creatures still playing in Nurgle Garden, all looked up at almost the same moment and saw the celestial fire meteor.

The Nurgle demons were horrified, bewildered by the sudden attack, and began to run frantically through the jungle.

The human warriors gripped their weapons, fully armed and ready, their eyes fixed on the banner that seemed to be guiding them, the commands etched into their souls becoming ever clearer.

Huhu~
The fire began to light up.

Golden, bright.
One by one, banners that were already magnificent in the real universe were revealed, their true forms unveiled, the flickering flames echoing the rising sun.

This was a gift prepared for them long ago. It was something that had been circulating among the various legions for decades. It could destroy spiritual entities and stabilize the warp, while also carrying the power of faith.

Thanks to the power of the Wings of Dawn, which filters out the subjective emotions attached to faith, humanity can also utilize the power brought about by a large amount of worship and faith, instead of being twisted into monsters made of pure emotion like demons.

Abundant weaponry, a soul forged through countless trials, and warp power on par with demons.

finally--

The warriors watched Karna.

A leader who can guide them forward.

The emblem of the Wings of Dawn shone brightly on them.

More than one.

Now, they lack nothing.

"attack!"

The order to attack rang in my ears.

They began to give chase.

"attack!!!"

"Ok?"

wow~
Inside the Tear Plague Swamp, a wooden paddle was drawn from a crucible, and the dripping liquid was eagerly devoured by mosquitoes and flies, which continued to expand their territory. Tyrell Preger, who intended to bring more disaster to reality, looked up in confusion.

"What happened?"

"Tyl Preger asked."

One of the fleeing Nurgle spirits glared at Tyr in a panic.

"Do you want to play, or do you want to stop and have a picnic?"

He said.

"?"

No, I mean—

Nurgle pointed forward, and Tyrell Preger looked in that direction.

At the far end of the garden, figures moved around the burning vehicle.

He could hear the crashing and crackling sounds in the wind, like tree branches breaking. Infantry and ground troops, numbering in the thousands, surrounded the convoy from the west, along with many small black dots, some of which were turning around.

"We still have time."

The Nurgle chattered on, "We ran for ages to get this far, and they..."

Some black dots began to grow larger, revealing their outlines, and leaped over the bushes toward them at a speed that Tyl Preger could hardly believe.

They are neither the eerie flames of Chief Tzeentch nor the war machines of Khorne.

At first, he thought it was a huge, ferocious warhound, then he thought of the Khorne demon, and then the rushing Chaos egg.

But those things were definitely not what rushed towards them.

They may have been—

people?
An absurd answer began to enter his mind, and Thiel Preger tilted his head in confusion.

Their creations, so different from those of the Warp, made them appear somewhat bulky, their torsos encased in iron armor, their bodies bulging with muscles forged from metal, and guns and flames compensating for their disadvantages on the evolutionary ladder.

Flames engulfed their faces and bodies.
Thiel Preger suddenly felt a terrifying pressure.

This oppression caused its heart, filled with maggots and tears, to convulse uncontrollably, as if hundreds of mountains were pressing down on it.

It quickly looked up, picked up the wooden paddle used to stir the cauldron as a weapon, and protected the Nurgles who were scattering in fear behind it.

It looked at the shooting star and quickly started waving its wooden paddle.

The sky was enveloped in thick teardrops, filled with rotten wood and corroded holes from which a viscous yellow liquid flowed, forming a translucent shield. Then it collided with the fireball and was quickly crushed, unable to even slow its speed.

Thiel Preger looked horrified.

"what is it?"

The great demon, symbolizing the plague of tears, asked in a panic:
"What is it? What are they? They—"

There was no sound, not even a popping sound of air, as a revitalized lung, encased in maggots and entrails, took its final breath within the decaying garden—

A meteor fell to the ground.
