Chapter 281 Abaddon: These Primarchs are only thinking of themselves.
Amidst the howling wind and sand, the bubbling hot oil at the watchtower instantly transformed into a raging inferno.
From Lu Wen's betrayal to being surrounded by various forces, and now to the chaotic battle, the entire process took only five minutes.
The central control room had long since become a bloody slaughterhouse, where elite inner-ring knights and think tank members were locked in fierce combat, with figures being instantly annihilated in the psionic storms, leaving not even a limb behind.
Lu Wen stood in front of the control panel, his dark armor covered in winding streaks of blood.
He glanced down at the twisted corpse at his feet. The inner knight remained in a forward-throwing posture until his death, his five fingers digging deeply into the metal control panel. The backlash of psionic energy caused his internal organs to gush out of his mouth and nose, exploding into a hideous flower of blood on his chest.
The pungent smell of blood was nauseating, and the killing machines stood motionless amidst the carnage and blood.
At that moment, Lu Wen sensed the approaching presence of a creature in the distance.
'This is never going to end.'
He lowered his head, his fingertips stained with congealed blood, and opened the skull communicator that had been ringing incessantly since the start of the war.
"it's me."
"It seems you've won."
The Chaos War General's cold voice rang out.
"A minor hiccup; I still need to control the Void Claw."
Lu Wen answered quickly, his fingers flying across the console.
This ancient technology was difficult for even the Dark Angels to understand. After spending centuries of research, they had no choice but to abandon it and continue to explore it through the prophecies of their think tank.
Suddenly, a blinding light burst from the external monitoring screen. He instinctively looked up and saw a blazing fireball rising from it.
"Just a heads up, the Primarch has arrived."
"I saw."
Lu Wen lowered his head again, the veins on his forehead throbbing slightly.
When will your support arrive?
"After the instrument is turned on, did you find the switch?"
"not yet."
The communicator suddenly fell silent, with only the static of the electricity mixed with heavy breathing, as if the commander was trying his best to suppress some kind of anger that was about to erupt.
After a long silence, the cold voice rang out again, each word seemingly ground out from between clenched teeth:
"You need to hurry."
After those cold words, the call was disconnected.
-
Within the Eye of Terror, a thousand light-years away, the roar of warships' main cannons rose and fell. Abaddon pressed his right hand against the head of a war lord, and with a gentle squeeze, the Chaos War lord's head instantly split into eight pieces.
Amidst a constant barrage of commands, he looked up and saw the Glory Queen 'Soul of Vengeance' beneath him continuously spewing flames, while dozens of smaller fleets were evading the dust in the distance.
boom! boom! boom!
The clash between the steel behemoths was exceptionally grand. Abaddon sneered and left the war lord's corpse behind.
"Let them surrender."
His voice carried a hint of cat-and-mouse merriment.
"They have persevered until now, and they are qualified to serve this great cause."
"Our troops have not yet completed their assembly; it will be better once the situation becomes more stable."
"Fakus Kabo," said the leader of the Black Legion's Gastrin Terminator in a muffled voice.
He was referring to matters on the Vigilant Star side.
Abaddon's impulsive decision to send the Primarch into space greatly excited the Black Legion.
"Why should I bother with a bunch of fools caught in a dilemma of hatred and glory?"
Abaddon's fingers unconsciously tapped the broken armor of the corpse in his hand, the clanging of metal particularly jarring in the silent battlefield.
"If they really intended to attack, they would have already mobilized their entire force. Given Lu Wen's current condition, it's hard to say. Sending their elite main force there would be suicide."
"Then they will die."
The commander glanced sideways at his deputy beside him and shook his head almost imperceptibly. "I don't care."
Over the years, he has been quite proud of his achievements, after all, he has achieved the victory he wanted in every Black Expedition.
But after he angrily confronted Peturab about why he was no longer receiving the necessary military support and was sent to the ICU for two years, he suddenly came to his senses.
Primarchs are not so easy to deal with. Every step he takes in the real universe is just a minor move. He must make thorough preparations inside the warp.
Kebo didn't say anything, but he felt that Abaddon had become much more sober after crawling out of the ICU, and at least he was less overconfident in his work.
The Chaos War General wasn't one for explanations, so he simply waved his hand and commanded:
"You take my royal guards and set off first. Don't let those idiots, the Emperor's sons, get away with it."
"Yes, Commander."
Kaibo saluted and left, boarding the assault boat.
Upon opening the hatch, one finds it packed full of Gastrin Terminators.
boom!
The iron gate closed, the fighter jets took off, and as the engines of the assault boats spewed out blue-purple plasma tail flames, Abaddon also got up and went to the top of the planet's mountain, looking at the furnaces that were about to belong to him, and glancing at the witch beside him.
"Has the future changed?"
"I can't see clearly."
The witch answered in a hoarse voice.
The two tacitly ignored the near-impossible success rate of the Void Claw. The War General casually tossed the Chaos Lord's mangled body off the cliff, sat down heavily, and the rock bearing his weight groaned as it slumped under the weight.
"Four! Four damned Primarchs have appeared in the Limitless Starfield, and now they're heading to the Eye of Terror. Will the plan still work?"
The witch's cloudy eyes darted around, her voice filled with a sense of weariness.
"Ever since the Battle of Terra, the entire galaxy has echoed with the dying voice of the Empire. We have experienced the Great Rebellion and are now engulfed in flames. He will surely awaken."
"I wasn't talking about the rotting corpse on the throne!"
The warrior suddenly sprang to his feet, slamming his fist into the rock beside him. The flying pebbles grazed the witch's face but failed to move her an inch.
"He's not worthy of me going to such lengths!"
Facing the enraged war commander, the witch maintained her hunched posture, her withered fingers steadily supporting the crystal ball, as if the threat posed to her was of no concern.
"OK."
The witch slightly raised her head and looked at the warrior's golden pupils.
"But before that, we need more support."
"Perturabo?"
Abaddon let out a short, cold laugh.
“They will never obey my orders.”
The War General's voice carried the resentment that had been building up for millennia, clearly indicating a deep-seated grudge against the Lord of Iron.
"They will not tolerate it, just as they have always done; these Primarchs have never submitted to anyone."
Didn't Abaddon advise Perturabo to wait a little longer? Wait another two hundred years, until the prophesied moment arrives, and then they can contact a few more Primarchs and march on Korgas together.
He sent Kayan over, but no word came back.
These Primarchs were all incredibly arrogant, their minds filled with nothing but their own selfish desires.
"They'll listen; they just need a defeat."
The witch replied, looking at the enormous rift that loomed at the boundary between the warp and the real universe.
"An unprecedented defeat made them realize that the situation was beyond their control."
