Chapter 10 The Captain Needs a Wife

Chapter 10 The Captain Needs a Wife

"How's it going? Not bad, right?"

Leonard swept his eyes across the court, struck a few poses, and asked with a smile, looking like a gorgeous peacock.

But not everyone paid any attention to him.

Philip was afraid that he would be too embarrassed, so he could only nod slowly and respond softly: "Well, but I'm afraid this has nothing to do with clothes."

Leonard's eyes lit up at the subtle and sincere compliment, and he immediately took off his hat and saluted in thanks, "I believe it will be a pleasure to spend time with you from now on."

Dunn also sat on the sofa at this time, his deep gray eyes also showing a smile: "I hope you have understood it enough and have truly made up your mind to join."

"um, yes."

Philip nodded, picked up the pen, and was about to sign when Dunn kindly reminded him, "But before that, you'd better come up with a new name while only Leonard and I know your real name."

"As for identification, don't worry about it."

Ok?
Yes, I was so focused on my salary and my plans to become a Beyonder that I actually overlooked this matter. Philip's hand froze in mid-air, his eyes glazed over for a moment, and then he nodded. "Well, what you said makes sense."

He had no reason to refuse this offer. After all, the official ID card was free, which was much better than those expensive channels outside.

"Um, Lawrence, Lawrence Slytherin." Philip lowered his head and pondered for more than ten seconds. Finally, he broke free from his Chinese inertia and reluctantly came up with a Western name that he could accept. "Mr. Smith, do you think this name is okay?"

Dunn nodded slightly, a glint flickering in his gray eyes, as if he had truly considered it. "Well, no problem. I think you can go back and rest. Then come back tomorrow to get your ID, sign the contract, and start work."

As he spoke, he stood up, walked to the door, pushed open the outer door and walked out. Leonard followed closely behind him, and soon only Roxanne and Philip were left in the room.

"Um, should I call you Lawrence or Mr. Slytherin now?" Roshan asked uncertainly, then assured, "Please rest assured, I won't tell anyone about this. It will definitely have bad consequences."

"Well, Lawrence is fine. I'm very young." Philip nodded with a smile. When he was about to continue speaking, he suddenly stopped and listened to the steady footsteps outside.

The door was pushed open, and Dunn Smith leaned half of his body in. After seeing Philip, he said, "I'm glad you didn't leave. I just forgot something. As our civilian staff, it's best to wear formal attire. I hope you have enough savings as your name suggests."

Formal attire, indeed.
Philip looked down and felt that the clothes he was wearing did not match the classical sofa he was sitting on. The latter looked like it had been ruined and he would probably have to clean it up later.

But before that, I have to at least take a shower, otherwise it won't matter what I wear. He nodded and responded, "Thank you for your advice. I'll go to the hat shop later."

After receiving the reply, Dunn said nothing, closed the door silently and left.

Luo Shan glanced toward the gate, then leaned over and whispered, as if whispering to someone at school, "Lawrence, the captain has a bad memory. You'll just have to get used to it. But next time he asks you to do something important, don't forget it."

boom!
The door was suddenly opened again. Dunn Smith's expression remained the same as before. He said calmly, "One more thing."

"Mr. Slytherin, please avoid going to the basement area of the Dragon Bar for the time being. If you really need help, please ask Old Neil or go with him. You can meet him tomorrow, or wait for him to come back now." He then turned to look at Luo Shan and said with a humorous smile, "Luo Shan, remember to control your expression from now on. An overly exaggerated expression will not only reveal your inner thoughts, but also affect your charm."

The door closed again, but silence remained in the room for more than ten seconds.

Philip turned around, suppressed the inexplicable impulse in his heart, and asked carefully: "Mr. Smith, how old are you this year?"

"I, I'm not sure either."

Luo Shan's expression didn't look good. She looked towards the door from time to time. After confirming that there was no more movement, she felt relieved. "I only know that the captain is in his thirties this year. At least in the five years since I joined the company, his memory has not been very good."

"Oh, maybe he needs a virtuous and sensible wife." Philip said half-jokingly.

He hadn't taken it seriously at first, but Luo Shan suddenly got excited. "Really?! I didn't expect you to feel the same way. Let me tell you in secret, I've been thinking this way for a long time. Ms. Daly, I think it's great!"

Philip's eyelids twitched, and he quickly interrupted: "Wait, wait, let's not talk about anything else first, tell me who Ms. Daly is?"

Luo Shan frowned and thought for a while, then said with certainty:
"Daly is my ideal extraordinary person. She is a psychic, young and promising, a true genius. The confidence and boldness in her words and actions are always fascinating."

As she spoke, she clasped her hands together, her eyes filled with longing. Seeing the other person like this, Philip held his forehead and roughly knew what she was talking about. Then he asked:

"She does sound like a nice lady, but she seems to be the dominant type. If they're as compatible as you're excited about, they'll end up together sooner or later, right?"

"Well"

Hearing this, Luo Shan lowered her head and fell silent. She looked around and then said, "Actually, I suspect the captain is somewhat interested in Ms. Daly, but because she is so dazzling, he feels reserved and inferior."

"And Ms. Daly seems to treat the captain differently from the others. Although she lives in Enmat Port, she often finds reasons to submit applications to come to Tingen."

Huh? What a melodramatic plot. No, sometimes this is true. No, the reality on Earth is mostly unrequited love. Philip complained inwardly, then asked:
"So, you didn't do anything to help the relationship between the two?"

Hearing this, Luo Shan sighed. "I, I can't be sure. What if I'm wrong? The captain is as kind as a father, but he scares me. Ms. Daly is also someone I admire and respect."

I see, you really have this idea, are you a matchmaker or a geek? Philip shook his head secretly, stood up and said: "Well, I think I understand."

"I'll observe later. If they're truly a perfect match, and it would be a shame to miss out, I'll try to help out a little. After all, Mr. Smith is a really nice guy."

"Of course, I might need your help."

He waved his hand, pushed open the door of the Blackthorn Security Company, and left.
