Chapter 360 Fors's Choice

Chapter 360 Fors's Choice
Seeing Fors slide to his knees without even a second's hesitation, Rowling wasn't surprised, but just shook his head with a slight smile.

Sometimes he really found Fors quite interesting. If you call her a coward, she can really delay your manuscript until the last day, and she'll make sure to admit her mistakes but never actually change them. If you call her brave, she'll kneel down without hesitation for even a second.

Well, isn't this a kind of reckless second quadrant, or even a characteristic of the "three cautious" schools?

Luo Lin thought casually, and said, "The deadline isn't urgent. I came to see you this time mainly for another matter."

Upon hearing this, Fors paused, her expression somewhat puzzled. She cautiously looked at Roland and asked, "Your Highness Lucifer, what brings you here?"

Rowling smiled and gestured to Bethel beside him, saying, "This is Bethel Abraham, also known as Mr. Door. He has returned to reorganize the Abraham family and intends to cultivate some extraordinary individuals with the Door pathway. Dorian recommended you to him."

Fors was stunned. She then widened her eyes and looked at Bethel beside her, saying incredulously, "You...you are Mr. Men?"

“It’s me.” Bethel nodded, giving a fairly gentle smile.

"So the Full Moon's Whisper suddenly disappeared because you escaped and no longer needed to call for help?" Fors blurted out almost without thinking. She didn't know the details of Mr. Door's plea for help; she only knew a little about Mr. Door from Mr. Fool and thought that the Full Moon's Whisper really was Mr. Door calling for help.

The next second after she blurted it out, Fors realized what she had said and belatedly covered her mouth with her hand, her expression one of regret.

After all, no one likes having their shortcomings exposed, and what she just said had the suspicion of exposing someone's shortcomings.

She has such a sharp tongue!
Bethel was clearly taken aback by Fors's words. He paused for a moment, but wasn't angry. Instead, he smiled and said, "Yes, I'm back, so there's no need to call for help anymore."

As for the inside story that He wasn't actually asking for help, but rather telling people not to save Him, considering that Fors was only a low-to-mid-sequence Extraordinary and couldn't know about the Outer Gods, Bethel didn't intend to explain.

"It's good that you're back, it's good that you're back..." Fors smiled somewhat awkwardly, then, as if remembering something, she quickly changed the subject, saying, "Mr. Men, so you want to mentor me because of my teacher's recommendation?"

As she said this, Fors couldn't help but feel incredulous. After all, she knew herself very well. Perhaps she wasn't too bad, but compared to other outstanding extraordinary individuals, such as Mr. World or Mr. Emperor, she was really far behind.

How could someone like her be nurtured by an angel?

real or fake? !
Fors felt like she had stumbled upon a windfall, finding it hard to believe while also worrying that there might be something more to it.

“I do have this intention; more precisely, I intend to take you as my student.” Bethel nodded, looking at Fors, whose eyes were wide with surprise, with a gentle smile.

This even bigger pie clearly left Fors dizzy and disoriented. It took her several seconds to come to her senses before she blurted out, "But I already have a teacher!"

The next second, Fors's mind came back to work, and she quickly added, "Of course, I didn't mean to say anything bad about you. It's just that I do already have a teacher, and I don't know how Professor Dorian recommended me to you. But I know myself. I'm not outstanding; I'm just an ordinary extraordinary person. I might not be worthy of being your student. Of course, Professor Dorian certainly didn't mean to exaggerate my abilities to you..."

Fors certainly knew how wonderful it was to be an angel's student, but first of all, she was not an ungrateful person. Dorian had been very good to her, and Fors could not abandon her teacher, Dorian, for better resources.

Secondly, Fors was self-aware; she didn't think she was qualified to be an angel's student. Bethel listened quietly to Fors's words. He looked at the girl in front of him, who was obviously very nervous and even spoke somewhat incoherently. His expression showed no annoyance at being rejected. He simply smiled and said, "It seems Lucifer's assessment of you was correct."

"Huh?" Fors was clearly a little confused.

“Lucifer said you are a very good child. Although you have some minor flaws and are not entirely reliable, you have excellent character and great talent. You can become a wonderful angel in the future,” Bethel said with a smile.

Fors was clearly even more bewildered. She looked at Bethel, then at Rowling who was watching the drama unfold, and pointed incredulously at herself, saying, "Me? An angel?"

To be honest, Fors had no idea she had this potential, and all those previous compliments...

Fors felt flattered for a moment.

"Don't look at me like that, I'm just telling the truth." Luo Lin smiled and said slowly, "Of course, if you can keep up with the deadline, I'll rate you even higher."

Fors's smile, which had been a mix of embarrassment and smugness from the praise, froze instantly. She then looked at the ceiling with a slightly awkward expression.

This ceiling is really a ceiling!

"It's hopeless, just bury it!" Luo Lin shook his head at her reaction and said seriously.

"Don't bury me! Don't bury me! I can still be saved!" Fors immediately stopped looking at the ceiling and said hurriedly.

If anyone else had said this, Fors would have thought he was joking, but His Highness Lucifer… haha, hard to say.

Anyway, Fors didn't really want to personally test whether what the other party said was a joke or not.

“Don’t be afraid, Lucifer was just joking,” Bethel said, shaking his head to reassure her.

Fors breathed a sigh of relief.

Bethel then said, “Fors, I will not force you if you do not want to be my student, but you are indeed a very talented person, and I do not want to waste your talent.”

“So I hope you will come and learn from me. Don’t worry, you don’t need to call me teacher. You won’t be the only one learning from me; other promising Abrahamic members will also learn with you.” Bethel said, looking at Fors.
"Of course, this is not mandatory; you can refuse."

That's what I said, but since you've put it this far, I can't refuse... Fors reached out and scratched her hair. She wasn't ungrateful; since Bethel had already gone this far, she certainly couldn't continue to be so stubborn.

So Fors nodded and said, "Thank you, Mr. Men. I am willing to learn from you."
