A Vajra angrily said, "Buddha, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and Sandalwood Merit Buddha passed away in the underworld one after another. Isn't the underworld a good place? I beg you to lead three thousand Arhat monks into the underworld to wipe out all sins!"

A venerable person sighed, "Buddha, we should have brought the entire underworld under our Western rule long ago, so that cause and effect and reincarnation can be integrated, and all evil in the world can be eliminated."

As the monks cheered enthusiastically, Tathagata Buddha still sat high on the Nine-petal Golden Lotus Platform and said slowly: "My Buddhist sect is to save all living beings, not to fight for power and profit.

What does death mean?
It’s just like entering paradise early!
The Sandalwood Merit Buddha died to save the people, and fulfilled the wish of my Buddhist Dharma to save all living beings. This is a great virtue.

We should carry on his aspirations and spread the Dharma to all realms as soon as possible, so that the Buddha's light can shine everywhere and save all disasters."

The bodhisattvas, vajra masters, arhats, and bhikkhus chanted in unison, filled with sorrow: "Amitabha, well done, well done."

Afterwards, Tathagata brought Bodhisattvas such as Guanyin, Manjushri, Samantabhadra, and the two venerables Kashyapa and Ananda to the back hall of the Great Leiyin Temple.

Tathagata, still sitting high above, asked, "I see changes in Yaochi. What's happening there?"

When everyone heard this, they were not surprised.

Although the Buddha has the wisdom to observe the three realms, the Heavenly Palace is the supreme power center of the three realms, and there are many people with great supernatural powers in charge, so it certainly cannot be investigated at will.

Guanyin raised her hand and said, "I only found out after I went there that the Peach Garden was destroyed..."

She recounted the whole story, including how the Tianhe navy found Sanzang's body in Yaochi, the later discovery of the case of the infant corpse in Pantao Garden, and what happened after she healed the Pantao tree.

After hearing this, everyone was shocked. They didn't expect such a big thing to happen in heaven.

They understood that after this incident, the power of the Emperor of Heaven became even greater and no one dared to despise him anymore.

Looking back, this change seems to have only occurred within a few decades after the journey to the West.

To be precise, it was the change brought about by their Buddhist Fighting Buddha Sun Wukong.

"Well done, Great Celestial Venerable, you hold great power. This is a blessing for the Three Realms and all living beings." Tathagata nodded gently, then asked, "Did the Great Celestial Venerable say who should take over Tripitaka's position in the underworld?"

Guanyin Bodhisattva hesitated for a moment before saying, "After the incident in Pantao Garden was settled, I went to see the Emperor of Heaven alone. He said that Maitreya Bodhisattva could take over the power of the underworld."

Upon hearing this, Manjushri, Samantabhadra, Mahasthamaprapta and others looked at each other in worry.

Although Maitreya has reached the level of Bodhisattva, he is the future Buddha. He will hold great power in Buddhism in the future and be called the Buddha of the East.

If he were to take power now, Buddhism might be thrown into chaos.

After all, there is still an ancient Buddha named Dipankara who holds some of the power of Buddhism.

The Tathagata said, "This is a good thing. Originally, Ksitigarbha should have been the acting Buddha to protect the Dharma and save sentient beings after my Nirvana and before Maitreya's birth.

But Ksitigarbha passed away before me, so the order is messed up.

Now Maitreya has entered the underworld, taking over Ksitigarbha's former position, which is in line with the law of cause and effect."

Guanyin continued, "The Buddha once said that all Buddhist monks are one. I think he foresaw the current situation. We really shouldn't be worried."

Manjushri, Samantabhadra and others looked at each other and chanted Amitabha.

At this time, Tathagata became serious again and said solemnly: "My Buddhist sect will not be in chaos, but the situation in the heavenly court is about to change drastically, which may overturn the heaven and earth. You must prepare early."

Everyone was shocked when they heard this.

Manjusri Bodhisattva said, "Buddha, since the spread of Buddhism to the East, the Three Realms and Four Continents have been in peace and harmony. How could there be the danger of the collapse of heaven and earth?" Samantabhadra also said, "Yes, although there have been struggles for power in the Heavenly Court, the Heavenly Emperor now holds supreme power. The situation is clear to all parties, and the Three Realms should be thriving as a result."

Guanyin didn't say anything, because she saw with her own eyes how fierce the fighting between the various parties in the Heavenly Palace was, and there was no peace at all.

The God Conferred and the Immortal Immortal, the School of Orthodoxy and the School of the Demonic Sect, as well as the Immortal of the South Pole, the Queen Mother of the West and the Emperor of Heaven, the Emperor of Purple Star and others.

I'm afraid no one can willingly accept the current situation.

Therefore, the struggle in the future will only be more fierce.

Tathagata said majestically: "Eternal life, power, anger, unwillingness, these desires and emotions will make people lose themselves and breed evil thoughts.

You should understand what will happen if desires run rampant between heaven and earth."

Everyone's expressions also became serious.

Of course they understood that the spread of Buddhism to the East, which had been planned for many years by the Buddhist sect, was not only because of the will of heaven to promote Buddhism, but also because of the revival of the devil.

For example, the birth of Mara originated from this.

After Buddhism was introduced to the East, it brought more believers to Buddhism, and gathered more luck and merit to suppress the evil ways.

But if the three realms fall into turmoil, causing desires to run rampant between heaven and earth and all living beings to indulge in lust, then the demons will have the power to revive.

Tathagata continued, "However, there is always a glimmer of hope for everything. If we can prepare early, perhaps we can seize the opportunity when heaven and earth collapse, so that the Buddha's light can illuminate the three realms and save all living beings from the water and fire."

Everyone was looking forward to it.

Even the three great Bodhisattvas, Avalokitesvara, Manjushri and Samantabhadra, who came from the teaching of Chan Buddhism, agreed with the Buddha's words.

Because this is indeed a great opportunity for Buddhism to flourish!
