Chapter 950 Justice: Three Against One
"Reinforcements?"

When Bilarak heard Lemanrus utter that word, his previously playful and amused attitude instantly changed.

“Lynn Johnson can’t abandon the human army. Rogdorn and Perturabo need to stay in Cardia, and Guilliman is stationed in Terra. Who can come to your aid?”

"Is it Vulcan? That weird Primarch who got involved with the green-skinned orcs?"

Although Birac remained hidden in the shadows, he was exceptionally familiar with the inner workings of humanity.

It was well aware of humanity's power. If it were before receiving the blessing of the four gods, it would be no match for any Primarch, and would even be completely killed by these demigods who roam the galaxy.

However, after receiving the blessing, Birac's confidence swelled considerably, and Lemanrus certainly didn't stand much of a chance against him in a one-on-one fight.

But Bilak didn't know what would happen if he faced an attack from multiple Primarchs.

If we refer to the previous example of Horus being chosen by the four gods, even if multiple Primarchs were bound together, they would still be no match for Horus, as was the case with Sanguiles.

However, at that time, Horus was mostly facing Primarchs who had not yet awakened the nature of the Warp.

While Primarchs who haven't awakened their true nature far surpass elite units like Space Marines or the Custodians in terms of combat power, they are actually quite ordinary compared to super-heavy units like the Titans.

The Primarch's strength and irreplaceability lie primarily in its ability to unite the Legion, its command and control capabilities, and its strategic vision.

However, if a Primarch awakens the nature of the Warp, it would not be an exaggeration to say that they are gods walking among humans. Each Primarch has different abilities and their areas of expertise are different.

When multiple awakened Primarchs join forces, they may unleash effects beyond imagination.

For example, Lemanrus, who has awakened his true nature, is better at direct combat, while Ryan Johnson, who has awakened his true nature, is better at using the jungle domain to perform long-range spatial teleportation or short-range displacement.

The effect of combining these two primitives is definitely greater than the sum of its parts (1+1>2).

"Who told you it was only Vulcan?" Lemanrus followed Bilac's guess, but he was also cunning and did not reveal which Primarchs came to provide support.

“We Primarchs have our own ways of communicating with each other, even across the entire galaxy.”

“When I send out a support signal, they naturally receive the signal and respond in unison.”

"Moreover, it's not just the Primarch that can receive the signal. Don't forget that my father is still in Kadia right now. He's just focused on the important matter of closing the Eye of Fear and doesn't want to take action casually, but that doesn't mean he can't take action."

The Wolf King directly invoked the Emperor's banner, which immediately caused Bilac's doubts to spread even more rampantly.

He initially claimed that after obtaining the power of the Four Gods' blessing, he would become the agent of the Chaos Gods' power and fight against the powerful enemy, the Human Emperor, but that was only to gain benefits for himself.

Once the power is truly in hand, who would be foolish enough to confront the cursed head-on?

That was a powerful being capable of going toe-to-toe with the four Chaos Gods. Even though Horus, who was blessed by the four gods, was incredibly powerful, he still ended up dying at the hands of the Emperor.

You are lying to me.

Suddenly, Birac turned his head, his deep, dark eyes fixed on Lemanrus in front of him.

If the Wolf King had only mentioned the other Primarchs, then Bilak wouldn't have sensed anything amiss. But when he mentioned the Emperor, Bilak realized that Ruth was bluffing.

"If your emperor already knows about this place, why hasn't he arrived yet?"

If the cursed one had intended, this filthy land would have already been cleansed by his golden light.

So you're bluffing, wolf.

Ruth's heart sank; this devil was more cunning than he had imagined.

But his wild, unruly smile only grew more arrogant. He spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva and retorted, "So what if it is? So what if it isn't? Birac, you rat who only dared to show your face after receiving the blessing of the Four Gods, do you dare to bet?"

"Bet on whether I'm lying to you? Bet on whether, in the next second, my father's gaze, burning with endless rage, will pierce through the subspace and nail itself to you?"

He took a step forward, his Dionysian spear pointing directly at Birac, his momentum showing no sign of being outdone.

"You're welcome to try wasting more time on me and see if in the end it's my brother or someone you never want to face!"

"bet?"

Birac's body seemed to tremble slightly. Russ's words were like a poisonous thorn, precisely piercing the deepest unease and fear in its heart.

It craves power and divine status, but it has no desire to become a victim of the power struggle between the Emperor and the Four Gods from the very beginning of its plan.

It really... dares not gamble.

Lemanrus keenly observed this moment of hesitation and silence.

He was secretly pleased and was about to continue using words to restrain them, hoping to buy even a second more time for Corax and Vulcan.

But Corax's reinforcements arrived much faster than Lemanrus had anticipated.

On this battlefield where Lemanrus and Birac clashed, a complex state emerged where the Shadow Realm and the icy wilderness intertwined and eroded each other.

With the arrival of a shadow, this duopoly shifted.

The shadow was not the filthy darkness released by Birac, but a purer, deeper "nothingness" that seemed to devour all light.

The shadow, like a living thing, seeped out silently from the back of every piece of debris on the edge of the battlefield, from the depths of every crack, and even from the shadow cast by Birac himself, spreading rapidly.

Immediately afterwards, a series of chilling, rapid flapping sounds rang out without warning.

Thousands upon thousands of crows with scarlet eyes and jet-black feathers appeared out of thin air, as if they had solidified from the shadows themselves!
They emitted a piercing cacophony, converging into a whirlwind of death, as if possessing intelligence, as they pounded and gnawed at the force field of chaotic energy surrounding Birac.

The beaks and claws of these crows seem to possess a peculiar annihilation property, each impact creating tiny, unstable ripples in the solid force field.

"what?!"

Birac let out a low growl mixed with shock and anger. This attack method was strange and unfamiliar, making it feel extremely uncomfortable.

Just as the flock of crows drew attention, an even larger shadow appeared silently behind and to the side of Bilak, like a ghost.

The shadow quickly coalesced, transforming into a tall and agile figure.

His skin was so pale it was almost bloodless, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding darkness, like breathtaking fresh snow under the moonlight.

Her long, jet-black hair, like raven feathers, cascaded down, making her delicate yet incredibly melancholic face even more striking.

His eyes were a deep, unfathomable black, as if they held an innate silence and sorrow.

The newcomer was none other than the Lord of the Ravens, Kovacs Corax!

Without pausing, the Raven King swung his arms, and the shadow beneath his feet instantly spread out like a boiling black tide, transforming into countless claws made of pure shadow, grabbing at Birac's limbs and torso from all directions, attempting to bind and tear him apart.

At the same time, a powerful psychic field, like an invisible giant hammer, slammed down on Bilak's head!
"Corax!"

Lemanrus let out a truly exhilarating roar, the huge weight in his heart finally lifted, the reinforcements he had been waiting for had arrived!

Corax, who can transform into shadow, and Bilak, the Lord of Shadows, share many similarities. Because of this, Bilak is able to perceive the extraordinary nature of his opponent.

If Bilak's own ability to wield shadow is more inclined to use shadow to create domains and forcibly suppress enemies, then Corax's shadow ability is more inclined to concealment and lurking.

Birac never imagined that anyone could emerge from the shadows beneath him; it was simply impossible!
"Ruth brothers! Hang in there!"

A deep, powerful roar, like a volcanic eruption, came from another direction.

With this roar, the entire battlefield began to tremble violently.

A colossal figure, as large as a moving mountain, smashed through all the ruins in its path with an astonishing speed completely disproportionate to its size, crashing towards Birac like a cannonball fired from a gun!

That was Vulcan!

His body was extremely tall and strong, and beneath his skin, there was a faint green light of Waaagh energy, like lava.

Faced with the chaotic energy barrier that Bilak hastily conjured in an attempt to block him, Vulcan didn't even swing his warhammer, but simply let out a deafening roar.

"I figured this piece of junk couldn't stop me!"

A savage, primal, and utterly unreasonable willpower erupted with his roar.

The solid barrier of chaos, upon touching this will, actually cracked like glass struck by an invisible force, making a crisp "crack" sound and showing spiderweb-like cracks.

With sheer physical strength and a brief "modification" of reality, Vulcan smashed through the barrier. Then, the warhammer in the Lord of Fire Dragons, with the force of shattering mountains and splitting rocks, smashed straight at Birac's head.

"Another one?!"

Birac was both surprised and furious. The strange sneak attack by Corax and the brutal charge by Vulcan arrived almost simultaneously, leaving it somewhat flustered for a moment.

The eight-pointed star on its chest flashed wildly, and four-colored energy surged out, transforming into twisted tentacles to meet Corax's shadow claws and psychic attacks, while also condensing into a heavy shield engraved with blasphemous runes, which withstood Vulcan's devastating blow.

"boom--!!"

A terrifying explosion swept across the entire battlefield. Vulcan's warhammer collided solidly with the Chaos Shield, and the resulting energy storm blasted a huge crater in the ground. The dissipated energy instantly vaporized several nearby shadow crows.

Corax's shadow attack was also forced back by the surging chaotic energy, but he swayed and merged back into the shadows, reappearing from another tricky angle the next moment. A pair of huge, crackling power claws appeared in the Raven King's hands, aiming straight for Bilak's joints.

Lemanrus would never let go of such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

He let out a long roar, and the power he had been accumulating for so long suddenly erupted. The Spear of Dionysus transformed into a golden lightning bolt that pierced through the heavens and earth, and with the power of the Spirit of Fenris added to it, it once again fiercely stabbed towards Bilak's heart while Bilak was being held back by his two Primarch brothers.

"You... are looking for death!"

Bilak let out a furious roar, and the three Primarchs' perfectly coordinated attack put it under unprecedented pressure.

It could no longer maintain its previous composure, and the power of the four Chaos Gods was mobilized with unprecedented intensity.

Even so, fighting against three Primarchs who had awakened their essences simultaneously still left Bilak struggling, and he soon had several very noticeable wounds on his body.

Although these injuries were far from fatal, they greatly dampened its confidence, which had just swelled up after devouring Luojia, and ignited its savage nature.

Birac, after all, was an ancient being that had experienced betrayal and ups and downs, and its combat wisdom should not be underestimated. It quickly realized that if it continued to passively deal with the three-way attack, it would eventually be worn down and killed.

It must break this deadlock and severely damage or even eliminate one of them as soon as possible in order to regain the initiative.

The Shadow Lord's gaze swept rapidly between the three Primarchs.

Corax is too cunning, appearing and disappearing unpredictably as a shadow and a raven, like a persistent affliction that is hard to get rid of. Trying to catch him and severely damage him in a short time is as difficult as climbing to heaven.

Lemanrus's offensive is ferocious, and with the Dionysian Spear, a divine weapon specifically designed to counter Chaos, pressing too hard could result in him trading blows for damage, or even mutual destruction—the risk is too great.

Therefore, there is only one goal left.

Vulcan, the Lord of Fire Dragons, is incredibly powerful, but his movements are relatively clumsy, lacking the extreme agility of Corax and the beast-like explosive speed of Russ.

In Bilak's view, the fact that this Primarch also possessed Waaagh energy from the green-skinned orcs meant that the orcs' chaotic, savage, and unruly power would inevitably cause serious interference and contamination to Vulcan's mind, creating exploitable flaws in his mental defenses.

The power of chaos can often be surprisingly effective against enemies who have weaknesses and vulnerabilities in their hearts.

"It's you!" Birac grinned maliciously, making his decision in an instant.

It pretended to focus all its efforts on dealing with Russ's spear of Dionysus and Corax's claws emerging from the shadows, while a massive burst of chaotic energy erupted outward like a vortex, temporarily forcing the two back.

At the same time, its chaotic power suddenly exploded, and its body directly transformed into countless black shadows that enveloped Vulcan's body almost entirely.

Birac's plan was simple: to forcibly invade Vulcan's mental world, use the corrupting power of the Four Gods' blessing to pollute and corrupt him, and severely damage his already chaotic and disordered core of consciousness.

If successful, Vulcan could suffer mental breakdown and loss of fighting ability at best, and his soul could be corrupted and destroyed at worst, and he might even have his power stolen by the creature.

However, when Bilarak's spiritual tendrils broke through the surface defenses and truly stepped into Vulcan's ocean of consciousness, the scene it saw left it instantly stunned and speechless.

What came into view of Bilake was a vast, turbulent ocean of green energy, brimming with endless primal violence and creative impulses.

This energy was so vast and so wild, it seemed to be the embodiment of the collective will of all the green-skinned orcs in the entire galaxy.

In the center of this ocean of green energy, there was not only the projection of Vulcan's soul, as it had been expected.

Besides Vulcan, there were two other enormous figures that were beyond imagination and exuded a great sense of oppression that made Birac's soul feel extremely oppressed!

One of them was more robust, with muscles that rose like gnarled mountains. His eyes, burning with a brutal red light, seemed to see through all conspiracies and bring about the most direct destruction.

That's Gao Ge, representing cunning violence!
The other was even thinner, with a cunning violence in his eyes. When Birac met his gaze, he could even feel countless malicious thoughts brewing in the other's mind, as if he was thinking about how to kill him.

That's Mao Ge, representing violent cunning!
Gao Ge and Mao Ge, the dual deities of the green-skinned orcs, their consciousness projections, stand like two insurmountable green mountains in Vulcan's spiritual world.

Vulcan's own soul consciousness was located below the projections of these two deities, and was not only not suppressed, but also formed a peculiar balance with these two enormous forces.

Instead of oppressing him, the orc god continuously nourished the Lord of Fire Dragons, making him even more powerful.

“This…this is impossible!!”

Birac screamed. Its chaotic power, which originated from the blessing of the four gods and should have been invincible, seemed so pale and powerless in the face of this Waaagh energy, which was pure to the extreme and savage to the extreme.

The orcs' psionic energy doesn't rely on corruption or seduction; it's simply the most brutal and straightforward form of power.

This pure, even irrational, characteristic is precisely the nemesis of complex, ever-changing, and chaotic forces.

"Where did this little shrimp come from, daring to trespass on our territory?" Mao Ge's cruel and mocking thoughts coiled around Bilake's spirit like a cold, venomous snake.

"It smells awful, it probably doesn't taste good! But it should be fun to beat up!" Gao Ge's thoughts were more direct, filled with an eager desire to destroy.

"You're the representative those four bastards pushed out. If you want to fight, just say so. What kind of underhanded tricks are you trying to pull?!"

"Vulcan is the orc emperor we've chosen. If you want to lay a hand on him, you'd better ask us first!"

Without further ado, Brother Gao Mao launched an attack directly at Bilake's spiritual body.

A gigantic fist, wreathed in pure waaagh energy green light, slammed solidly into the face of Birac's spiritual body with the force to crush stars!

Mao Ge's voice came from all directions, accompanied by omnipresent and insidious sneak attacks, making it impossible for it to effectively gather strength to resist.

In the vast green ocean of consciousness in Vulcan, Bilake's spiritual body was beaten and torn to pieces by Gao Ge and Mao Ge as if they were playing with a rag doll.

The Lord of Shadows trembled violently and immediately tried to retreat.

Vulcan was not the pushover it had anticipated; it had kicked an indestructible iron plate!

However, getting in was easy, but getting out was difficult. Birac had to forcibly tear off a portion of the mental tendrils that were entangled by the power of the second brother in order to barely escape from Vulcan's mental world.

……

Outside, Lemanrus and Corax witnessed Vulcan being bound by Bilak and were extremely anxious, desperately wanting to save their dragon brother.

Just as they were about to make their move, they suddenly saw the dense shadow enveloping Vulcan explode violently, and cracks even appeared on Birac's massive body as if it had been forcibly torn apart by brute force.

The roar that Birac emitted was no longer one of anger, but a hiss that was a mixture of extreme pain and terror.

"How can it be?!"

Ruth and Corax were both shocked. They could feel that in that brief moment, Birak's aura had suddenly dropped significantly, as if he had suffered some kind of severe blow from the soul level.

Vulcan, do you still have such an incredible trump card up your sleeve?
Both Primarchs were deeply shocked. Their knowledge of Vulcan was mostly limited to "first-class forging skills" and "ability to control green-skinned orcs".

The Lord of Fire Dragons slowly opened his eyes, the burning green light in them gradually subsided, and he returned to his usual composure.

His gaze toward Birac carried a hint of schadenfreude and pity.

When he first tried to fuse with the energy of Waaagh, he was tricked and toyed with by Brother Gaomao. If it weren't for the ancient relics given to him by Loxi, he might not have become the orc emperor he is today.

Seeing that Bilake had also been severely punished by his second brother, just like himself, he felt much better.

"You lackey of Chaos, you've chosen the wrong opponent." Vulcan's voice, like a booming bell, echoed across the deathly silent battlefield.

"Do you really think the blessing of the Four Gods is unsolvable? Do you really think the Four Gods are unaware of your plans to seek personal gain?"

"You think you can use the power of the four gods to avoid the price you have to pay. Many people have the same idea as you, but their end is that they are all eaten by Chaos and not even bone fragments are left."

Do you consider yourself one in a million to succeed, or a self-deceiving failure like everyone else?

Birac steadied himself, looking at Vulcan with suspicion, then at Rus and Corax who were watching him intently.

Its recent encounter in the spiritual world of Vulcan has completely shaken it.

Vulcan's persistent questioning instantly replaced its burning ambition with a chilling fear.

Birac began to reflect on his current situation, wondering if the blessing he had received from the Four Gods was truly the complete version of the Four Gods' Blessing.
If I continue to act against the will of the four gods, will they take back their blessings in the next moment?

Once the seeds of doubt began to take root, Birac had already lost the will to continue fighting.

Retreat! We must retreat immediately!

It needs time to digest the essence of Luojia, to reassess the strength of these awakened prototypes, and to more carefully test the bottom line of the Four Gods.

Birak's greatest asset is the blessing bestowed upon him by the four gods. If this asset becomes less reliable, Birak will revert to his original state of hiding in the darkness, waiting for the right opportunity to strike.

However, what Bilak and the three Primarchs on the battlefield did not realize was that they were not the only ones left in this demon world.

Deep within the dark temple, which was nearly half-collapsed in the distance, a massive and foul psionic energy surged into the sky without warning!

The group of Word Bearers, led by Faust, remained steadfastly around the pool of blood and the altar.

They ignored the earth-shattering war raging outside, ignored the fall of the Primarch, and wore a morbid fervor and relief on their faces, as if they had completed their mission.

"The ceremony is complete!"
