Chapter 469: The Courage of the Wolf King

Chapter 469: The Courage of the Wolf King

The special geographical environment of this battlefield, coupled with the interference of highly radioactive wastewater, meant that the Space Wolves' auspexes were unable to detect this hidden enemy force.

If they rush forward rashly, the Space Wolves will suffer extremely heavy casualties in the face of an enemy with fire support from the Dreadnoughts.

If you fall on this narrow road and land in the highly radioactive and toxic wastewater, no one knows whether you can survive.

These silent Sons of Horus began the assault in a trident formation. They had no loud battle cries, no shouts or insults, and they were like corpses blocking the wolves' attack.

The Sons of Horus' vanguard and wings were able to support and protect each other, forcing the Space Wolves to defeat them head-on.

"Be careful, the subspace energy of these guys is so dense that it's explosive!"

"It smells like it was just fished out of a cesspool."

Leman Russ shouted to his wolves in a vigilant voice, "These Sons of Horus... are they still alive? They are simply some Warp demons that have grown into the appearance of Astartes."

Their armor revealed powerful chaotic power, and each one made the Wolf King feel his scalp tingling.

"Horus, you want your legion buried with you."

The Sons of Horus, who seemed to have been completely transformed by the energy of the Warp, took the lead in launching an attack. The Reaper artillery fell like a rainstorm, landing among the wolves.

The white hot shrapnel and shock waves blurred the indestructible physical properties of the adamantine armor the moment they touched it, instantly knocking down the two wild wolves and turning them into wreckage on the ground.

The three Contemptors fearlessly unleashed their ferocious firepower, the twin heavy bolters on their arms released the evil fire of the warp, and the metal shells fell like a waterfall, but there was no sign of exhaustion.

Bombs and plasma exploded around Leman Russ. In the special environment of the Spirit of Vengeance, the once extremely reliable adamantium armor was also at risk of being penetrated.

The Wolf King realized that this was a response by Horus, otherwise they would be completely powerless to resist the loyalists.

Looking at the Sons of Horus moving like corpses, their armor possessed by demonic souls making them confused and turning them into puppets who only knew how to fight and kill, the Wolf King felt mixed emotions.

Leman Russ faced the horrific barrage of bullets head-on. He was fearless and did not even take a step back.

A lavender psychic shield blocked him and his offspring. That was the psychic power of Leman Russ.

The Wolf King's reckless advance caused the Wolf Guards to shout anxiously. Bjorn even rushed forward and tried to use his body to block the fatal artillery fire.

"Keep going! Wolf Guards!" Russ roared.

Leman Russ turned into a purple storm, waving the Spear of Dionysus to block the annoying artillery fire, and even the enemy's heavy laser cannon was blocked.

When the Wolf Guards heard the order from the leader, they immediately put aside all hesitation and followed. No matter what, they always believed in Leman Russ.

The roads were littered with the severed limbs of both Space Wolves and Sons of Horus.

The Wolf Guard sent out two warriors, intending to use melta bombs to destroy the Dreadnoughts that were blocking the way, but Leman Russ rushed forward and pierced through the Dreadnought's armor with his huge Spear of Dionysus, piercing the sarcophagus inside.

Even though the Primarch had no size advantage against the Dreadnought, Leman Russ still managed to defeat it with his unstoppable bravery.

Like a hot knife through butter, the Dionysian Spear easily pulled the dying warrior from the Dreadnought's sarcophagus. Like the other Sons of Horus, even the remnants of the Astartes were subject to countless mutations and corruption under the corrosive influence of Chaos.

Disgusting tentacles and tumors spread out from the dying warrior's body, like a virus constantly extending and expanding. The flesh and blood with thousands of holes were wriggling, and it continued to resist even after being pierced by the Spear of Dionysus.

Russ activated his Spear of Dionysus, unleashing the power bestowed upon it by the Emperor.

The indescribable monster that had almost turned into a chaos egg suddenly trembled and began to change back to its original appearance.

The corruption of the Warp began to recede, and the remaining flesh and blood squirmed weakly. Without the protection of the sarcophagus, it was heading towards death.

A strong sense of sorrow and pain suddenly overwhelmed the Son of Horus, and the Wolf King knew that he had awakened from the corruption of the Warp and had seen what was now happening on the Vengeful Spirit.

The psychic power released by the Spear of Dionysus turned him into dust, and the Wolf King bestowed the last mercy on this crippled man.

Bjorn leaned out from the corner and, under the cover of his comrades, rushed to the side of the Dreadnought. He rolled forward in an extremely thrilling manner to avoid the terrifying power claws of the behemoth.

The roar of the grenade launchers never stopped. The flying projectiles hit the hard armor of the Dreadnought, tearing gaps in it and creating sparks from small explosions.

"How about I help you warm up?" Bjorn attached the melta bomb to the back of the Dreadnought through a magnetic lock, and then immediately ran away.

The huge dreadnought suddenly had a terrifying molten explosion. The high-temperature nuclear materials in the reaction created a temperature of hundreds of millions of degrees. The erupting jet directly ejected the plasma that was enough to melt all matter.

The Dreadnought was melted through in an instant, and then the boiling metal solution transferred huge amounts of heat to the life-sustaining liquid in the sarcophagus. The tumbling bubbles accompanied by the extremely hot liquid directly cooked the remains of the Son of Horus inside.

Looking at this fearless and miserable appearance, young Bjorn shrank his neck and made up his mind.

If he were to be seriously injured in the future, he would never allow his comrades to put him into the Dreadnought. He would rather die than endure such torture.

The last Dreadnought was followed by a dozen Sons of Horus, who used cover to cross the distance and fought with the Space Wolves.

The ferocious Dreadnought used its power fist to blast a Space Wolf away. The blow imbued with Warp energy shattered the adamantium armor. Seeing that his offspring was in an unknown state of life and death, Leman Russ rushed up in anger.

He drew out his Dionysus's Spear and thrust it into the Contemptor's body from behind, piercing through the complex energy systems and transmission systems.

Then, the Primarch raised the Spear of Dionysus with his terrifying strength, with the Dreadnought, Son of Horus, pierced on the tip of the spear.

Raging flames and thick smoke came out of the exhaust pipe. The screams of the fearless veteran rang out from the microphone. It fought back with its power fist like a madman, but because of the distance created by the Spear of Dionysus, it could not reach Leman Russ at all.

The Dreadnought's reactor went completely haywire and destroyed the mad beast. Leman Russ took the brunt of the impact for his son.
The Wolves howled at the top of their lungs for their Primarch's bravery. The name of Leman Russ echoed throughout the cabin of the Vengeful Spirit, and their morale was boosted.

The Fenrisians were truly like giant wolves, howling and calling one after another. Everyone felt that they had gained a source of strength from the roar, and the enemies became increasingly weak in the terrifying wolf howls.

For a moment, it seemed that this warship, which was soaked in the power of the Warp, began to tremble in fear at the roar of the Fenrisians.

Leman Russ tore the Spear of Dionysus from the dead Dreadnought, raised the weapon high and shouted.

"For the All-Father! For humanity! Kill them all!"
