Chapter 221 Agent John's Headache

Chapter 221 Agent John's Headache

"That man has left Macragge. I can feel his mental fluctuations are dissipating. They are now able to use the Necrons artifact normally. This is not good news."

"That abominable Necron artifact, the symbol of the successful rebellion of the vampire slaves of the stars, has now fallen into human hands."

If Alina Vera could hear this voice, she would definitely blurt out Olpersson's name.

The other party has lost any trace since he came to the surface of Macragge through her special channel.

However, the Immortal Agent, whose real name was John, was in a somewhat delicate situation, as he was tied to a chair with a backrest with ropes.

In front of him was an armored Word Bearer who wrapped himself in a robe.

It was the other party who was chasing relentlessly and finally caught up with John here.

Agent John tried to use his psionic powers to free himself, but the psionic collar around his neck restricted most of his power. This Word Bearer came prepared.

The Word Bearers warrior who called himself Narek discovered John's trail not long after he landed. After a chase and fight, John was helplessly tied up by the other party.

"This is Macragge. God, how dare you, a Word Bearer, come here? If those Ultramarines see you, they will go crazy and tear you to pieces."

"Why are you pursuing me so relentlessly? We have no conflicts or hatreds."

John tried to persuade Narek with words, but he remained unmoved.

"God? There are only false gods in the galaxy today."

Through the scarlet goggles, the cult agent saw a pair of eyes without any emotion.

He tried to use his telepathic ability to read the other person's mind, but it didn't work. The collar around his neck suppressed the psychic energy more than he expected.

After all, the other side came from the Word Bearers, the legion that knew the most about Warp sorcery among all the Astartes, and they were the descendants of the Great Word Bearer who fell into Chaos.

"It was that man named Roshi who provided the unexpected technology that enabled the Ultramarines to defeat you. Unfortunately, he has now left Macragge."

"He is your enemy, son of Lorgar. You should hunt him instead of me. We have the same goal."

John tried to transfer his hatred to the unpredictable man. The Word Bearers took the initiative to backstab him, but still lost to the Ultramarines. The other party couldn't just turn a blind eye to such a great humiliation, right?

"Please stop playing tricks. I care little for these things," the Word Bearer said. "I need your help to kill Lorgar. He has betrayed the Emperor and the Faith."

Narek took off his helmet, and half of his face was hidden in shadow.

The agent deeply engraved the other's appearance into his mind. He began to defend himself, "I want to help you too. Lorgar's death will be good for everyone, whether it is the human empire or our secret sect. But I have an extremely important mission. If I don't complete it, those aliens will bring huge trouble."

"Aliens? Let them try. Both loyal Astartes and traitorous Astartes have zero tolerance for xenos."

The Word Bearer tilted his head, as if thinking about something.

"So what is your mission? What mission did those blasphemous rubbish hiding in the shadows give you?"

John heard the contempt and mockery in the Word Bearer's mouth. He silently endured the other party's condescending attitude, because he himself looked down on himself, a puppet manipulated by the aliens.

"I will slay a Primarch, the Fire Lord who fell on Macragge. We know he is immortal, but with a lightning stone short spear imbued with the power of the Emperor, we can break his immortality."

The agent was still observing the Word Bearer's micro-expressions, but the other party was really like a machine, showing no emotional fluctuations.

"I told you that I am not interested in anything other than Lorgar. So go and kill Vulkan, and then help me kill Lorgar."

John's expression revealed speechlessness. He was a Primarch with unparalleled power, the Emperor's most powerful creation, not to mention the most difficult to kill Fire Dragon Lord Vulkan.

"Listen, Word Bearers, assassinating a Primarch is not a simple matter. It's like putting an elephant in a refrigerator. It's not as simple as opening the refrigerator, putting the elephant in, and closing the refrigerator. By the way, maybe you don't know what an elephant is."

The agent found his own description ridiculous. How could these artificial genetically enhanced warriors, who were active in the 31st millennium and were born after the Great Crusade, know what an elephant was?

"A giant four-legged mammal that became extinct in the fifth millennium." Narek's answer made John feel even more embarrassed. He actually knew it.

"Don't talk about that stupid elephant, Narek. I can call you that, right? I can feel Vulkan's crazy and chaotic mind. He has been tortured to death by something. Now he is sealed in a secret base outside Macragge. A company of Ultramarines is guarding the fortress."

John felt that his mission had failed. According to the guidance of those shrewd guys in the cult, he should assassinate Vulkan during the battle between Vulkan and Midnight Haunter.

But now, the Night Haunter was arrested before he even touched Vulkan, the terrible iron man, those abominable intelligences that once caused horrific killings at the end of the Dark Age of Technology have reappeared.

Although he did not fully experience that extremely dark period, as a senior agent of the cult, he was hiding in the remote areas of the galaxy with these damn aliens, fearing that they would be discovered by those murderous abominable intelligences and the iron men who could fill the entire galaxy.

But as a human being, the memories in his brain are telling him to fear the Iron Man.

He should not continue to provoke the increasingly powerful Lord of Macragge and assassinate Vulkan who was sealed in the stasis field under the other's nose, but the horrific punishment of those aliens made the agent feel at a loss.

"I'll help you, and then you help me, it's only fair," Narek said, and he took out his tactical dagger and cut the rope that could suppress psychic power to show his cooperative attitude.

His power boots kicked out the package beside him, revealing a short spear made of a rock spearhead and a wooden handle. It looked ordinary, even extremely rough and backward. Even mortals in the primitive world would not use it for hunting.

But Narek knew that this weapon was the key to killing an Eternal Primarch, and it was also the key to killing the Great Word Bearer who had fallen into Chaos.

John shook his arms to clear the blood vessels that were clogged from being tied up for too long. He wrapped the lightning-struck stone spear with black cloth again and stuffed it into his arms.

"Leave this thing here for now. I'll give it to you after I complete the task."

The Word Bearer did not stop John's actions. He simply put on his helmet and hid his face and heart again.

The latter just looked at the Word Bearer with a strange look. After a long while, he said, "Why? You are obviously a Word Bearer. Why are you so calm in front of your nemesis, the Ultramarines?"

And Narek simply replied: "As you can see, I am a traitor. I have betrayed my Legion. The loyal Legion will not trust me, and the traitorous Legion will not trust me either. I am the only one who walks the path. I must purify the Word Bearers Legion and save it from the hands of Lorgar who has fallen into Chaos."

John just looked at the other person for a long time with a look as if he had seen a ghost.

"Look what I see, a Word Bearer loyal to the Emperor. God, I may have some respect for you."

"But I still can't trust you. The Word Bearers are best at distorting the truth. This may be another conspiracy of Lorgar." said the agent.

"You will see me clearly." Narek took the lead and walked towards the deep sewer official website, "Remember to follow."
