Chapter 139 The Emperor's Executioner

Chapter 139 The Emperor's Executioner

Guilliman decreed that all Loyalists coming to Macragge would be provided with the same supplies and support as the Ultramarines.

No favoritism, no discrimination, only equal treatment.

Even a legion like the Salamanders, which only had a few Astartes left, could receive the same treatment as everyone else in the Five Hundred Worlds.

Roche was also amazed at Guilliman's political skills. This guy was not only a Primarch, but also a very pure political creature.

He doesn't care at all about his dignity and face being offended, and even a White Scars warrior can question him in front of him.

He brought the legionnaires who came to Macragge for various reasons to his own front line and gave them various preferential treatments almost without asking for anything in return.

Friends became more numerous and enemies became fewer, and all kinds of demands and contradictions of everyone were integrated into one: to oppose the rebellion started by Horus.

Luo Xi thought that he was far inferior to him in this aspect. If he were asked to deal with these troublemakers with completely different demands, the conflicts might escalate immediately.

It is for this reason that he feels that the Primarchs created by the Emperor are all natural leaders, but more than half of them have grown up completely distorted due to lack of education and care.

Guilliman met with everyone in the hall one by one, including representatives of Space Marines from various legions and heads of various Rogue Traders.

The Lord of Macragge can converse with everyone, and his brain, which is more powerful than a supercomputer, can even remember the family trade of each Rogue Trader and the war honor of each Space Marine.

After a pleasant conversation, several hours had passed and people began to leave the reception hall through the front door one after another.

When most people had left, there were still a few Space Wolves left in the hall.

They crouched on the ground, each wearing power armor covered with the skins or bones of various ferocious beasts.

The Space Wolves all took off their helmets and replaced them with leather hoods similar to those of the Fenris Hunters.

Roche saw that these Astartes were either wearing some kind of masks to intimidate the enemies, or had painted various patterns and lines on their faces with oil paint or blood.

"Son of the Wolf King, do you have any other requests?"

Guilliman asked as he looked at the sons of Leman Russ.

He knew the leading Space Wolf, the Blood of Faffnir, who was the captain of this Space Wolf hunting pack.

"No, sir, your hospitality has satisfied everyone and we feel at home."

Faffnir was wearing a large fur cloak that looked like the skin of some kind of Fenrisian bear, and Guilliman smelled a strong, fishy odor.

"You wish us to leave? Your magnificent halls are not welcoming to us, Lord Guilliman?" a Space Wolf shouted from behind.

"Shut your stinky mouth, Herrick!" Faffnar immediately turned around and yelled. As the leader of this hunting pack, he was more civilized than his wild wolf brothers.

"Forgive him sir, this boy is a complete wolf."

Guilliman showed a hearty smile that was somewhat similar to the wild wolves. He always managed to deal with others in the most appropriate way.

"You are the proud sons of Russ. I welcome you unconditionally. But Faffnar Blood Alliance, I have read your logs. You are different from other legionnaires who came to Macragge to escape the storm. Macragge has always been your destination."

"We traveled through the storm to get here," said Herrick, who was scolded by Faffnal.

"Yes, to perform a duty and mission." added the wolf brother Busoren.

Faffnar turned around and growled like a real wolf, "Shut up! No one thinks you are dumb!"

The two wild wolves immediately closed their mouths, but they were still growling softly in their throats.

Roche felt that it was a good decision to come to Macragge today. First, he saw Guilliman being defeated, and then he saw these funny Space Wolves bickering with each other.

In a corner of the room, the recording continued.

Rather than calling it a Space Wolf, it would be more appropriate to call it a Space Husky.

He recalled the creatures called Erha from ancient Terra, but they seemed to have long since become extinct, and he wondered if Trazyn's museum had any copies. The Alpha Wolf finally maintained his dignity before the Lord of the Ultimates, and the two Space Wolves finally calmed down after each taking a powerful skull-splitting punch.

Guilliman smiled but said nothing. These lively Space Wolves were more to his liking.

The Ultramarines themselves are a legion that places particular emphasis on rules and discipline, and the activeness of the Space Wolves is exactly what the Sons of Guilliman lack.

"So what is the purpose of your trip and what are your responsibilities? Faffnir."

The leader wolf straightened his clothes and finally showed a serious expression.

"Our duties remain the same, my lord. The Space Wolves are different from other legions. We must do what other brothers are unwilling to do as long as it is necessary."

Guilliman nodded, of course he knew what the Space Wolves' duties were.

As one of the three-leaf clover legions, the Space Wolves, Salamanders, and Alphas all have their own unique missions.

The Space Wolves' unique mission is to be the Emperor's executioners.

The Sixth Legion is a military police unit directly under the Emperor, and they punish those who make mistakes on behalf of the Emperor's will.

"Your reputation is well known to everyone, but I think that although it is somewhat unfair, it is indeed you who have taken on this responsibility."

Faffnir was grateful for Guilliman's size, but that did not stop him from saying the following.

He groped in his bosom and pulled out a parchment document.

"Do you want me to read it or do you want to read it yourself?" The wolf handed over the parchment document.

"Speak to me in your tongue, Wolf," said Guilliman.

Faffnar made a grinding noise. He insisted, "At least take a look at it. Take a look at the seal from the Wolf King Leman Russ and the seal of the Chancellor Malcador. It has the highest legal force in the Empire. Its power comes from the Chancellor."

Guilliman simply glanced at them, then confirmed that they were all real.

Although Luo Xi didn't know what the document said, when it was taken out, he felt that the attitude of these Space Wolves began to change.

When a group of smiling guys start to look serious, it proves that this matter is extremely important.

He was a little surprised that these wild wolves seemed to be doing something unusual.

"Have you heard what happened in Prospero, and the fate of the Thousand Sons?" Faffnir asked.

Not only Guilliman, but Roche had also heard something about this.

That was several years ago. The Galaxy is so vast that it took too long for the news to reach the Five Hundred Worlds.

The Burning of Prospero.

"The Space Wolves went to punish the Thousand Sons, did they? And then Magnus betrayed the Imperium. I already know that."

Guilliman said that some of the intelligence he received contained more details.

Magnus chose to sit and wait for death in the face of the Emperor's Punisher. It seemed that his red-skinned brother had done something extraordinary, which aroused the Emperor's wrath.

The orders the Space Wolves received were tampered with by the Warmaster, and after a fierce battle, the Burning of Prospero ended with the Thousand Sons joining the rebellion and the Space Wolves evacuating.

"Yes, we destroyed the home planet of a brother legion. We are the sons of the executioner, and our notorious reputation is not unjustly accused by others."

"But some things have to be done by someone. This is a necessary evil. If someone has to be the bad guy, the wolf is that role."

Faffnar's reaction was somewhat complicated. The Aldmeri began to reflect after the war. He had a vague feeling that his legion was being used by the enemy to force the Thousand Sons to rebel.

But this is the duty of the Space Wolves, and there is no room for regret even if it is done wrong.
