Chapter 23: The first step of the plan, success!

The next day was a sunny Saturday.

The weather was very hot. Tazaki Saku woke up on the washed snow-white sheets and could see the blue sky from the open window.

Listening to the ticking of his watch beside his pillow and the clanging noise of the tram outside the window, he was still immersed in last night's dreamless sleep and didn't feel like moving for a while.

After ten minutes, the time of staying in bed is over.

Tazaki Saku got out of bed, wearing only his underwear, turned on the TV and did some aerobics.

After half an hour of fasting aerobics, I walked into the bathroom all wet, took a shower, and returned to the room naked.

Opening the wardrobe and looking at his pitifully few clothes, Tazaki Saku did some self-reflection.

I used to be reluctant to spend the money I earned.

This really shouldn't happen.

Women probably won’t be moved by men saving money for themselves...

People who have money don't need to save. The money they save is definitely not much. People won't be moved at all and will only feel that they are with the wrong man.

So, men should be nicer to themselves.

In any situation, we must first love ourselves in order to maintain the most basic equality.

I put on sweatpants and a T-shirt, looked at the time, it was only seven in the morning, and there was still an hour before the time I had agreed to meet with my senior.

Tazaki Saku came to the computer desk and continued to make preparations.

He is a person who is focused and goal-oriented. Once he has determined what he wants to do, he will do things in an organized manner.

Determine the goal: What you want and what you need can be the purpose;

Early stage analysis: Determine the rationality of the goal, your own strengths and weaknesses, and assess the difficulties and obstacles you will encounter along the way, as well as possible support;

Make a plan: list the detailed process, strictly implement it, and make plans for possible unexpected events;

Finally, I accepted the result.

——If it is bad, you must accept it calmly and then reflect deeply.

It was because of his clear goals and strong drive that Taki was able to come to Tokyo from a small rural town and successfully enter the Tokyo Institute of Technology with his not-so-outstanding talents.

If he had not joined Aoba Society but chosen a related major, he would at least be considered a social elite.

Sometimes he was too self-disciplined, living his life like a machine. Although he was quite humorous, he couldn't avoid being criticized by Ryoko for not having any surprises when she was with him...

Amid the constant noise of trams in the triangle area, Tazaki Saku concentrated on coding the complete works of Haruki Murakami.

He never stopped from the moment the system came.

With the complete works of Murakami, one of the best-selling twin stars in the Japanese literary world, in hand, there is no reason not to pursue fame and fortune.

He has made all the preparations to make his debut as a writer by plagiarizing. It is always a good idea to write more novels first. Maybe he will need to use the "large quantity is enough" strategy in the future.

Laziness is the biggest stumbling block on the road to success.

Don't be lazy in everything, a prepared battle is easier to win.

Taito District, along the Sumida River.

In a Western-style detached villa, Professor Fujimiya of the Faculty of Literature at the University of Tokyo made a pot of tea and opened his private email.

The latest email was sent by a man named Mishima.

Inside is the beginning of a novel called "Hear the Wind Sing".

Mishima said in the email that he strongly agreed with the reformists' theory and believed that only by doing what Professor Fujimiya said could Japanese literary world pull back from the brink and get back on track.

Finally, Mishima said that he had written a novel and wanted his teacher to review it.

"This is definitely another young man who wants to be a novelist." Professor Fujimiya concluded with great certainty.

Everyone dreams of becoming a novelist, but some people quickly realize their mediocrity and give up their unrealistic dreams before adulthood.

But some people think that after reading a few so-called literary books, they can write simple texts themselves, and then they spend half their lives on it, ultimately leading to a life of mediocrity. Professor Fujimiya had not originally planned to read "Hear the Wind Sing."

Because he is a pure literature critic, and pure literature is not easy to write, so I have no expectations for this novel. But since Mishima praises him so much, I will reluctantly take a look at it and make a few comments.

With this in mind, Professor Fujimiya opened the attachment.

[“There is no such thing as a perfect article, just as there is no such thing as complete despair…”]

"Hmm, that's interesting." Professor Fujimiya continued his gaze downwards.

Section 01 of the novel mainly describes my enlightenment in writing and the deeds of an American writer named Hartfield.

First of all, Professor Fujimiya can be sure that this is a fictional writer.

My evaluation of Hartfield is that he can be compared with Hemingway and Fitzgerald, "one of the few extraordinary writers who can fight with articles as weapons."

Such an outstanding writer, on a sunny Sunday morning in June 1938, he jumped from the rooftop of a New York skyscraper, holding a portrait of Hitler in his right arm and an umbrella in his left hand. Like his life, his death did not cause any response.

If this extremely absurd way of dying happened in real life, it would definitely cause an uproar.

Through this fictional American writer, in Section 01, the author's writing style has a very obvious American sense of humor.

In the previous paragraph, he said that if you are determined to pursue art and literature, then you should read Greek literature.

The slaves farmed, cooked, and rowed, while the Greek citizens reveled in writing poetry and immersing themselves in mathematical analysis under the Mediterranean sunshine. This is how art was born.

In the next paragraph, he said that people in modern cities who check the refrigerator in the kitchen at three o'clock in the morning can only write some irrelevant things.

"Interesting, interesting..." Professor Fujimiya couldn't help but laugh.

The following plot is a conversation between "I" and "Rat".

Although the sentences are somewhat bizarre, they do not require any complicated embellishments. The occasional absurd humor makes the whole novel not boring at all, which is different from any other novel on the market.

"It's amazing..."

There was only amazement in Professor Fujimiya's eyes.

In section 04 of the novel, the series of conversations and actions between "I" and "Rat" after the car crashed into the flower bed has a feeling of an O'Hent-style ending, making the reading experience very relaxing and enjoyable.

In section 05, the plot ends with "I" and "Rat" discussing a young woman they met while sailing across the Pacific Ocean and landing on a deserted island.

The content of less than 10,000 words well demonstrates Mishima's unique narrative style and distinctive personal style.

Looking at the attachment at the end, Professor Fujimiya felt that he was still not satisfied. He quickly replied to the email, praising the young man and urging him to send the rest of the plot as soon as possible. Then he repeatedly savored the content in the attachment.

It's just a beginning, there's no plot to speak of, and there's no clue to it.

What Professor Fujimiya repeatedly savors is Mishima's writing style.

The current pursuit of classicism in Japanese literary circles has reached a somewhat pathological level. It seems that the more serious and complicated the writing is, the easier it is to become a literary giant.

But if the article is too difficult to understand, it will be out of touch with the general public.

If no one can understand it, how can the book be sold?
If the books can’t be sold, survival will be a problem, and the entire literary world will be on the verge of withering. What’s the point of talking about literary quality then?
Professor Fujimiya believes that the ideal state is to be able to survive while also taking into account a certain literary quality.

These two requirements are difficult to meet at the same time.

But Mishima could do it.

Looking at the words on the screen, Professor Fujimiya thought a lot.

If Mishima's style becomes popular, it will set an example for all writers.

Only when there is a role model will people follow.

Let some people get rid of the bad habit of Japanese novels being too lengthy, and instead learn from the concise and clear style of American modern novels, and set off a self-saving revolution in the literary world...

As he was thinking, Professor Fujimiya sent another email to Mishima urging him to update the work, and at the same time vaguely hinted at something.

[This book, "Hear the Wind Sing," may have a huge impact on the current Japanese literary world.]

I'm very optimistic about you.
