Lin Xiuyi briefly recounted what happened last night, from discovering that Waishuichi was shopping at the supermarket, to deliberately spreading the news of the move, and then sneaking into the Morofushi family to rescue them, trying to downplay the events so as not to worry the three girls.

"By the way, what brings you guys here?"

Lin Xiuyi put away the knife and asked with some confusion,

"The mountain road from the village to here is quite long."

"Hmph, it's all because I was worried about you!"

Yukiko rolled her eyes at him, quickly walked up to Hayashi Shuichi, and poked his arm.

“We were really worried because you didn’t come back last night. The girl with glasses even said you might be lost and she was going to get a flashlight to look for you.”

Yukiko ignored her explanation and continued speaking to Hayashi Hideichi.

Lin Xiuyi felt three gazes fall on his face at the same time, the temperature of which seemed to be even hotter than the sun.

"Um," he chuckled awkwardly, "how about we go get some breakfast first?"

Yukiko and Eri Kisaki exchanged a glance and simultaneously snorted, but neither of them showed any intention of letting go.

Reiko then took the opportunity to hug her brother even tighter, as if to assert her dominance.

Lin Xiuyi cleared her throat, trying to ease the tension.

"You've been hiking in the mountains so early, you must be hungry. Shall we go eat first?"

"Hmph, don't try to change the subject!" Yukiko clung to his arm, refusing to let go. "You still haven't promised me! You're not allowed to take any more risks!"

“Exactly!” Eri Kisaki rarely agreed, though her tone was still awkward, but her grip on her hand didn’t loosen at all. “If something happens to you, what will happen to me… Reiko?”

"Onii-chan!" Reiko clung to Lin Xiuyi's neck, rubbing her face against his cheek. "If you keep doing this, I'll... I'll never talk to you again!"

Lin Xiuyi sighed helplessly and reached out to ruffle his sister's hair: "Okay, okay, I promise you, I'll be careful from now on."

"Really?" Eri Kisaki narrowed her eyes, looking suspicious.

Yukiko finally released his arm with satisfaction, but her fingers still clung to his sleeve as if afraid he would run away.

Eri Kisaki loosened her grip slightly, but still stood beside him, refusing to step back.
