Chapter 54 Return to the Sect
(This chapter contains many annotations; see the author's words for details.)
[Help the "Eastern Evil" Huang Yaoshi realize that he is Mei Chaofeng's "benefactor"; show your intelligence and reveal his identity, gain a small amount of favor from the Five Supreme Masters, and be rewarded with 1000 Jianghu Reputation points.]

[Reputation level remains unchanged: Rising Fame (10600/20000) => Rising Fame (11600/20000)]

1000 reputation points. A bit too little.
It’s still Mr. Qigong who is so open-minded!
"Senior, you are joking!" No matter how small a mosquito is, it is still meat. Gu Ping'an still greeted him with a smile.

Now he finally understood why Mei Chaofeng seemed a little arrogant at the beginning. It turned out that the reason was here!

As the saying goes, don't hit a smiling person. Huang Yaoshi smiled helplessly and looked down at Huang Rong.

Huang Rong was previously deceived and thought that her father had passed away. In addition to grief, she also felt guilty for her willful and ignorant behavior.

Now that she saw Huang Yaoshi again, she no longer had the heart to be angry. She held his sleeve tightly and refused to let go.

"You!"

Huang Yaoshi rarely saw her being well-behaved, so he reached out and gently poked her forehead, his face unable to hide his doting.

"Dad, is it because you have fulfilled your wish by leaving the island this time?"

The wish that Huang Rong mentioned was the oath that Huang Yaoshi made after the second volume of the Nine Yin Scriptures was stolen.

He was proud of his talent and knowledge, and would not leave Peach Blossom Island until he had learned the next volume of martial arts.

When Huang Yaoshi heard her bring up the matter again, he said unhappily, "What wish did you fulfill? As long as I'm looking for a devilish girl like you, who cares about whether I have a wish or not?"

He was such a stubborn person, but he was willing to go against his will and break his oath, which moved Huang Rong deeply.

"Dad, I will always be a good boy from now on. I will listen to you until I die."

Wait until your father and your brother Jing have a falling out, and then we’ll see if you’ll regret saying this today!

As soon as she said this, Gu Ping'an couldn't help but mutter to himself.

Huang Yaoshi naturally couldn't hear what he was thinking, and turned to look at Lu Chengfeng, his eyes flickering slightly.

"Master."

Lu Chengfeng burst into tears, pushed away his son who came to help him, and struggled to stay in a kneeling position.

"Chengfeng, you're fine. Get up. I was too impatient back then and wrongly blamed you."

Huang Yaoshi has always been stubborn, and saying such words is no different from admitting his mistakes.

He saw Lu Guanying again and asked, "Is this your child?"

Lu Chengfeng said: "Yes."

Since Lu Guanying was able to lead the Taihu Lake bandits, his reaction was naturally not slow. He immediately stepped forward and kowtowed four times respectfully.

"Grandson pays homage to Master."

He didn't know about the past of Peach Blossom Island. He only heard his father call him "Master", so it was undoubtedly his own master.

"Ying'er." Lu Chengfeng was still an abandoned disciple at this time, and he was hesitant to speak.

Huang Yaoshi did not lean over to help him, but stretched out his left hand to grab him from behind and lifted him up, then slapped him on the shoulder with his right palm.

Lu Chengfeng thought he was being annoyed by the "Grandmaster" address and exclaimed, "Master, I only have this one son."

Before Lu Guanying could react, he was knocked back seven or eight steps by a palm strike, and then fell backwards.

Everyone present cried out in surprise, but he was unharmed and stood up in a daze.

Huang Yaoshi nodded gently: "You are very good. You didn't pass on your skills to him."

"I, as a disciple, dare not violate the rules of my master's sect. Without my master's permission, I will never pass on my master's skills to others.

He also saw that his master had no ill intentions, so he quickly spoke.

"That's a good way to call you Grandmaster," Huang Yaoshi said, feeling touched. "Chengfeng, today I will accept you as my disciple again."

Lu Chengfeng felt as if he had heard the sound of an immortal. He was so surprised and happy that he choked up and couldn't speak.

Mei Chaofeng, who was standing by, suddenly felt disheartened.

The master accepted Junior Brother Lu back into his family, but ignored him completely. I'm afraid he will never forgive me for stealing the book.

She was filled with grief, tears streaming down her face, but she was afraid of upsetting her master, so she didn't dare to make a sound.

Huang Yaoshi loved her the most back then, so how could he not notice her reaction?

"Chaofeng." "Master!" Mei Chaofeng was suddenly startled, and rolled and crawled to his side, kneeling down and kowtowed vigorously.

"You still have the nerve to call me Master?"

"Master, Master, please promise me one more time and then strike me to death! As long as I can hear your promise just once more, I will be happy even if I die immediately."

Mei Chaofeng was crying and gasping for breath, and her forehead was red and swollen from the knocks.

"Master, I'm truly sorry to you and my wife! Master, Master..."

Hearing her master's cries miserably, she subconsciously grabbed Huang Yaoshi's hand and shook it left and right, just like when she was begging him coquettishly.

Huang Yaoshi's eyes were a little dazed, and the scenes in his memory came to his mind again, and his heart softened a little.

"Yeah," he took a deep breath and agreed.

Mei Chaofeng was immediately overjoyed. She took out a copy of the scriptures from her arms, knelt down and presented it to him.

"Master, I have always kept this book with me, determined to return it to you."

Huang Yaoshi nodded slightly, took the "Nine Yin Volume 2" and put it in his arms.

"Chaofeng, you have done great evil and suffered great hardship. From now on, stay at your junior brother Lu's manor and do not travel the world anymore. Your eyes are damaged, and you will only be bullied by others."

He hesitated for a moment and added another sentence.

"As long as you stop doing evil in the future, I don't think many of Huang Lao Xie's disciples will dare to make things difficult for you."

This sentence was a formal public announcement that Mei Chaofeng was allowed to return to the sect.

When Mei Chaofeng heard this, she kowtowed again.

Lu Guanying was also smart and stepped forward to help: "Uncle Mei, please come into the village, wash your face and have some snacks. I will ask my mother to serve you."

Huang Yaoshi nodded slightly, but did not mention Chen Xuanfeng's death.

He understood Mei Chaofeng's character, and after seeing her attitude and reaction today, he could guess the whole story of stealing the scriptures.

In addition, the Black Wind Twins were notorious, and although he had always protected his own people, he had no intention of bringing up the matter again.

Huang Rong took the opportunity to pull his hand.

"Dad, let me introduce you to someone. This is Brother Jing. My daughter had no money to eat and drink, and everyone bullied her. He was the only one willing to help me!"

Guo Jing stood aside for a long time, then quickly stepped forward to greet his future father-in-law.

"Junior Guo Jing greets Senior Huang."

The more the father-in-law looked at his son-in-law, the more he disliked him.

Huang Yaoshi had noticed the intimacy between the two of them from outside the door, but Guo Jing looked honest and straightforward, which did not suit his taste at all. Seeing his daughter being abducted and run away by Guo Jing, he could not help but feel angry.

He glanced at Guo Jing and said sarcastically, "May I ask where this young man came from, under what tutelage?"

Guo Jing couldn't hear the hidden meaning and said honestly, "My masters are all here."

He was also very honest. Since Hong Qigong didn't allow him to call him master, he really didn't mention it to anyone else.

Huang Rong quickly introduced them to him: "Dad, these are the six heroes of Jiangnan, who are famous in the martial arts world."

What she wanted at the moment was to leave a good impression on Guo Jing, and she didn't dare to mention the experience of being called a "little witch" before.

The Huashan Sword Contest cannot be faked at all, and the name of "Eastern Evil" is naturally far better than that of "Senior Qiu" just now.

The Six Monsters already knew that he was the master of their enemy Mei Chaofeng, and they were extremely reluctant, but intimidated by the reputation of the Five Great Masters, they still reluctantly bowed.

Regarding the past events of Peach Blossom Island, the plot of this book refers to the revised version of The Legend of the Condor Heroes, which is different from the original Sanlian version of the novel and the 83, 94, and 03 versions of the TV series.

Note 1: The revised version of The Legend of the Condor Heroes adds that Huang Yaoshi had a secret crush on Mei Chaofeng before he met Feng Heng.

Note 2: The revised version rewrites the process of Chen and Mei stealing the scriptures, and puts the blame on Chen Xuanfeng alone. Mei Chaofeng was basically tricked into stealing the scriptures.

Note 3: The revised version deleted the setting of "Human Skin Scripture" and only had the manuscript. It was changed to a new plot in which Zhu Cong stole the manuscript and returned it to Mei Chaofeng.

Note 4: The revised version deleted Huang Yaoshi's promise to Mei Chaofeng to do three things: kill anyone who has read the Nine Yin Manual, find the rest of his disciples, and abolish the Nine Yin Martial Arts.
