Chapter 46 Combat
Hands shook with Zeus, and banshees stood up from the sea with determined eyes.

Banshees are never weak creatures; they are willing to defend their homes with their own blood.

It didn't take long for the banshees to sign a symbiotic contract with Zeus.

As the life pool expanded, the injuries Ash had originally suffered became almost negligible.

She looked at the hideous scar on her waist in surprise - yes, under the infusion of vitality, it had turned from a wound into a scar.

Ash stretched his body and felt full of strength. It had been a long time since he had felt such a full vitality.

The rest of the banshees also stood up from the sea. They were all tall, and now they stood together, their scales gleaming coldly in the moonlight, like an icy wall.

Zeus looked at them and couldn't help but sigh. In the era of cold weapons, these banshees, wearing heavy armor, were simply a group of killing machines.

There were a few roars coming from outside the cave. Zeus looked over and saw that Connor had circled with the monster transformed by Monica and had come back.

Just

"How did she get so big!?"

The banshees looked solemn.

The wailing monster no longer bore any trace of Monica's past. Balls of pollution swirled around, gathering into a strange monster the size of a church.

This size is no longer something humans can contend with, right?

Zeus looked at the banshees around him with some concern.

The banshees looked at Ash.

The contrast is even more obvious when standing on land. Ash's body is several times larger than other banshees. Just by looking at her muscular body, one can feel the explosive power contained in it.

But even such a powerful warrior might not be able to compete with that mountain-sized monster, right?
"Monica," Ash muttered to himself before shaking his head and turning around with a determined look on his face.

"My Lord, we can handle her. Please stand back."

There was a hint of sadness on the faces of the banshees.

Their tribe has always been small in number. After the battle with the merfolk, there are only a few members left, and this cave can accommodate them all.

Therefore, the Banshees are quite united and the feelings among the tribesmen are very deep.

Monica is the youngest member of the Banshees. She is cute and quirky, and no one doesn't like her.

Unfortunately, the pollution in her body is now too serious to be reversed. The banshees may be able to defeat the monster she has transformed into, but they do not have the energy to control her and try to alleviate the pollution.

This is a very good result. There is no need to make any more sacrifices. Both the banshees and Zeus have done their best.

But even though they had found their home, Monica had to say goodbye to them forever.

The banshees lowered their heads, suppressed their grief, and followed Ash out of the cave. They had no time to waste.

The monster that Monica transformed into was rapidly growing stronger with every second.

Endure suffering and taste every dish that fate serves you. The Banshees have experienced too much, and today is just another farewell.

The banshees felt something in their hearts, looked at each other, and then closed their eyes together.

The power of the mind connects them together.

After a moment, they opened their eyes again and looked forward. There was only determination in everyone's eyes. They quickly separated. The instant connection just now had allowed them to discuss tactics.

It’s about to start.

Not far away, Connor was riding in circles on his horse, and the expression on his face relaxed a little as he watched the banshees recover.

Sweat now covered his forehead. Though the monster was as massive as a mountain, it was not slow at all. If it hadn't struggled to turn, Connor might have been caught up long ago. Even now, he was at the end of his strength. The horse beneath him was panting, hissing and gurgling, as if its bellows were broken.

The horse's physical strength had reached its limit. If it hadn't controlled itself and tried desperately to change direction, it would have barely escaped the pursuit.

Fortunately, I caught up.

Connor raised his head. The Banshee not far away made a gesture to him, and he nodded in understanding.

The huge monster roared and rushed over. Connor pulled the reins and turned his horse sharply to the side.

The monster passed him sideways, roaring and grabbing at the man and horse, but just missed.

Its huge body tried hard to stop, and a deep dirt mark was rubbed on the ground. The black pollution turned into arms that stretched out to the ground in front to slow down. After it almost stopped, it began to desperately dig and grab the soil in a new direction, twisting and squirming to prepare to turn.

It's starting to move again.

At this moment, a banshee rushed over and bumped into the monster.

The black pollution was like a bloated balloon, creating ripples that wailed as it wrapped around the banshee, trying to devour her.

However, the banshee slipped away as soon as she touched it, and the pollution that had stuck to her slid off, uttering an unwilling curse.

She activated her flesh and blood magic at the moment of collision, and the pollution could not consume her.

After she was a little further away and confirmed that there was no pollution on her body, she turned off the flesh and blood magic to reduce consumption.

The huge monster was just at the stage where its old strength was exhausted and its new strength had not yet been generated. Not only was its acceleration of the charge interrupted, it was also shaken by the collision and almost lost stability.

It works!
Ash's eyes lit up. This was the banshees' tactic. They kept attacking from the monsters' blind spots to consume their enemies.

And Ash, who is wandering in the distance, will look for opportunities and try to kill the monster with one blow.

In her hand, she held a long trident, which she had snatched from the merman. Not long ago, she had used this weapon to fight her way out of the abyss and led her people to Castel.

"It's a pity that I can't use magic." She muttered to herself.

The vitality brought by the symbiotic contract only healed her wounds, and the impact of the magic overdraft still remained.

Suddenly, she turned her head.

"Nini?"

Nini had left her spot and was heading towards the grotto.

Ash was a little confused and was about to question, but he found that Zeus was waving at him in the cave.

"I have a plan! Just stall for a bit!"

The voice of Zeus came in her mind. That was the ability that came with the symbiotic contract, which allowed Zeus to communicate with her at a not-too-far distance.

Ash nodded without hesitation and turned around to fill the gap created by Nini's departure.

She didn't know what her lord's ideas were, she only knew that she had to carry them out.

She trusted her lord, and Hughes never let her down.

She was willing to be Zeus's sword, cutting through the thorns on his way, and she didn't need to think so much.

This would give her a sense of security.

But she didn't notice that she began to feel more anticipation in her heart.
