Chapter 300: Strange Castel

The Black Pearl returned faster than expected.

When Zeus estimated the time, he used an ordinary sailing warship as a reference, but the Black Pearl, as a pirate ship used for plundering, was best excelled at speed. In addition, Jeremiah had sailed in the Storm Ocean for half his life, so his speed was several times faster than that of an ordinary ship.

After some twists and turns, the Black Pearl successfully docked at the port.

The first person to jump off the ship was Ken. He saw Gaia before the ship docked. When Hughes learned that the Black Pearl was coming back, he informed her and old Ivan. They had been waiting for a long time.

Both sides had thought they would never see each other again, but now that they saw their loved ones again, they were so excited that they were speechless, and the three of them hugged each other tightly.

Gaia is a strong girl. She gritted her teeth and persevered even when the war was at its most urgent. But now she shed tears as she hugged her loved ones.

Old Ivan looked at his two children and held their hands tightly, refusing to let go.

Most of the advanced students who had gone out to sea with the ship stayed in Blood Harbor, but some of them had been following the ship. At this moment, they were also surrounded by their relatives.

You learn to cherish after you lose something, and the people of Castell have lost too much.

Captain Jeremiah withdrew his gaze from the bustle nearby and turned to look at Castel - this island he had visited many times, surprisingly made him feel a little unfamiliar.

Jeremiah looked at the Skyshroud Behemoth floating high in the sky with an expression of surprise, then turned to look at the Castel Cathedral standing in the distance. The weather was very good today, and the huge reinforced concrete fortress could be seen even from a long distance.

After a long time, he reluctantly withdrew his gaze and turned to look at the other side of the dock, where there were several newly renovated wooden steamships.

These ships all used outboard steamers and had no masts. Although outboard steamers were rare, Jeremiah was knowledgeable and had heard of the existence of such ships in a tavern.

"How's it going? Do you like it?"

Hughes came up and stood in front of the steamer with Jeremiah.

"It looks OK. Is it steam-powered? This type of ship isn't very fast, but it's good for transporting cargo. It can be used very conveniently near the coast."

Jeremiah had a calm expression and made a few comments from the captain's perspective. He had studied mechanical knowledge with Ken for a long time, so he might not be very good at repairing equipment, but he had a relatively good understanding of steam engines.

Suddenly he frowned: "Why does this ship look familiar?"

"It's normal to look familiar. This ship was pulled from Gem Bay."

Jeremiah narrowed his eyes and looked at Hughes.

Pulled from Gem Bay?

What is the current relationship between Castel and Gem Bay? Why have both places disappeared from the sea? Why hasn't he seen the Gem Bay ship?

His mind was full of questions, and he wanted to ask them all in one go.

Hughes grinned. "Captain Jeremiah, I'm sure you're all confused about Caster's disappearance. Take a break first. Come to my office later and I'll tell you everything."

Having said that, he turned and walked towards the towering fortress, and several other religious soldiers came over to hand over to Jeremiah.

Jeremiah casually gave a few instructions to the crew, then hurriedly pulled Ken and followed the crusaders to the fortress - he didn't know yet that it was a church.

The Crusaders led the way for them. The two of them walked all the way from the dock to the cathedral, almost wondering if they had come to the wrong place.

The original factory and residential areas were largely abandoned, while the island was dotted with multi-story outposts and fortresses. A bump often appeared on the ground, a concrete door frame, a steel gate, and a passage leading underground in between, leading nowhere.

The original factory was gone, replaced by the noise coming from within the high walls.

The guns carried by the Crusaders were also different from before. Occasionally, when passing by the fortress, one could see the black muzzles of guns sticking out of the firing holes.

Suddenly, Ken was stunned. A team of fully armed banshees passed by him. They were wearing fully wrapped heavy armor, and even their tails were protected by skirt armor dragging on the ground. They carried several round cans on their backs, and thick steam pipes connected from the cans all the way to the guns hanging at their waists.

Banshee Patrol.

There was no reaction from either the Crusaders or the workers around. Several Crusaders leading the way stood at attention and saluted as they approached, and only continued to move forward after the banshee returned the salute.

The Banshee's identity revealed? Ken's mouth dropped open.

Jeremiah, who was standing behind Ken, froze.

He had never come into contact with the extraordinary, and the Church of Poseidon was only communicating with the Pirate King in secret. Jeremiah was not the Pirate King's confidant and did not know much about this.

This three or four meter tall steel giant was far beyond his expectations.

He looked up at the banshee blankly, his face full of shock.

As they crossed paths, he saw a pair of pale golden eyes through the gap in the steel mask.

The look in his eyes was indifferent and swept over him nonchalantly, as if he saw an ant on the roadside.

Powerful, indescribably powerful. Jeremiah had seen the guards around the pirate king. Those people were so powerful that they seemed not even human.

But the iron giant in front of him gave him a much more oppressive feeling than the guards in his memory.

"He, they are"

"That's the patrol led by Lady Nini. It's her turn on duty today." The Crusader explained casually.

Rotation. In other words, there are more than one team of these tall armored warriors?
If it were a head-on battle, Jeremiah had no idea how to deal with these warriors. They were wearing heavy armor, but their movements were completely unhindered and they could even patrol in armor.

Wearing full body heavy armor is extremely physically demanding. Even on the battlefield, soldiers will only dress fully before the battle. Even if they wear armor at other times, it is very light.

Fortunately, these warriors were on land. Wearing such heavy armor, they would probably sink as soon as they entered the water. These warriors should not be good at fighting in the sea.

Thinking of this, Jeremiah breathed a sigh of relief, as if he had already won the battle.

In addition to these heavily armored warriors, Castel's huge tentacles on land also shocked the two men.

After repairs and expansions, the cathedral has become even larger. The central patio has been expanded considerably due to the hoisting of the Pirate King.

After the Pirate King's body was placed in the furnace, those long tentacles did not disappear, but were placed on the ground. Their length was too astonishing, radiating from the cathedral all the way to the depths of the sea.

Looking at these huge black limbs, the two couldn't help swallowing.
