Chapter 580, Section 41: G'huun's Doomsday - The Swarm Will Unlock the "Heart of Infection"

"Ha Nan and the others are ahead! Come with me quickly to rescue our compatriots."

The Haraniel trolls also charged into the dangerous Uldir under the sunlight.

These guardians draw the power of nature from the roots of the ancient sacred tree, Eluashi, which is a direct gift from the moon goddess Elune. Therefore, every single one of the Haraniel Farstriders under Ovina's command is a master of the Force.

They are born druids.

These Haraniels are blessed with a precious life force from birth, allowing them to master the beast forms that druids typically require a long period of comprehension to control, even in childhood.

Rexxar was once praised for his talent as a beastman, but these Haraniel are even more outrageous; everyone in their tribe is a beastman.

Therefore, Haraniel can choose from a wide variety of beast forms.

Ovina transformed into a simple yet effective hybrid of a wyvern and a bat and lunged towards the Titan Hall, but her companions behind her each possessed unique abilities.

Some turned into wild boars, some into lions, and the most outrageous one transformed into a tin-skinned Tyrannosaurus Rex, roaring and trampling as it went.

The noble avatar of the sun bestowed upon them the protection of the sun god, preventing G'huun's parasitic spores from penetrating the scorching corona shield on their bodies. As the swarm of insects fiercely attacked from below, the passages that G'huun had blocked with various disgusting parasitic creations were quickly and completely cleared.

Although the Savior Swarm does not yet have a true Overlord, it has already hatched powerful Ultralisks.

These giant creatures, essentially miniature versions of the King Beasts, charged forward like rampaging mammoths. Their scythe-like arms imbued with entropy energy and guillotine-like spikes rendered their charge utterly ineffective against the weak flesh and roots.

Modeled after the Mantid, the Swarm Archon, in his flying form, led the Swarm Prophets into the tunnel. These spellcasters, wielding powerful mental abilities, enveloped the surrounding Swarm with their will.

Although the Swarm Will of the Saviors has not yet been fully formed, a low-level Swarm Will network can still be maintained under Anveena's presence and leadership.

These prophets are the most outstanding "swarm security guards." They walk in an invisible web of minds, able to clearly perceive every movement in the swarm's network of wills. Once they discover that a bug has been possessed by G'huun, the prophets will immediately unleash mind spikes to tear it apart in an instant.

Under the influence of the swarm's will and with pheromones used for rapid assembly and identification, it is impossible for an outside individual to infiltrate the swarm.

If some self-proclaimed "mind masters" want to cause trouble and attempt to seize high-value individuals in the swarm, such as Overlords or Thunder Beasts, they will face a backlash from the entire swarm's will the moment they connect to the target's mind.

Conservatively speaking, anyone at the demigod level or below who touches him will die.

Behind Diakum, the Stonescale Dragon quickly dealt with the infected Titan, whose sturdy body was almost completely torn apart by the enraged Ilydicon, and its exaggerated steel warhammer was smashed to the ground.

Diakum hovered over and used his own sunlight to perform "virus disinfection" on Ilydicon, while also thoroughly disinfecting the Titan creation that had been blasted into a shutdown state from the inside out.

The goblins and gnomes are having a “mechanical revolution” underway, and these rare and powerful war creations are a valuable example for them.

Even if they can't figure out anything, they can still modify the internal structure to transform this giant steel behemoth into a "Gundam" that can be piloted by ordinary people.

With this level of output and destructive power, it could easily destroy one or two magic-powered mechs if used properly.

"This thing is a high-ranking warrior in the Titan creation system, and it is only deployed in important facilities. There should be other ones in the Uldir system. Could you please give them a release?"

Dick pointed ahead and said:

"Just knock them down and leave them there; I'll handle the rest."

“I’d love to, I’d even pay to do it!”

The gloomy creature Ilydikon displayed unparalleled enthusiasm for the war against the Titan facilities. Roaring and flapping its rocky wings, it took off under Diakum's watchful eye, smashing through the steel tunnel above and flying into the interior of the Uldir facilities through the opening in the elevator.

Diakum applied a "corona" to it, enough to ensure that Ilydikon would not be parasitized and corrupted by Ghokhon for a short period of time.

Of course, relying on this thing to directly attack Gorgon is not very effective. Although the corona can disinfect viral spores, it cannot provide perfect defense against the more direct corrosive blood.

Even though Ilyudicon is a stone-scaled dragon, and its entire body's flesh and blood probably weigh less than ten pounds, it still has a brain that it must use to think. Once this thing is implanted and parasitized, Ilyudicon will have to find a way to book an appointment with Dr. "Saint Tony" Diakum as a specialist.

Moreover, even simple rocks cannot withstand Gauthorn's exaggerated and endless parasitism.

If the Old Gods cannot even corrode rocks, they are not worthy of the Void Lords' high hopes.

"boom"

The mind core of the fallen Titan below was crushed by Diakum, who then maintained his light and heat output as he led the swarm into the interior of Uldir.

Talanji has already commanded some Loa to rush in, but they will not go too deep into the Titan city, which is full of parasites. They will only help the swarm defeat the defecting Titan creations on the outside.

These Loa gods insisted on participating in the war, not only to make their presence known to the Vigilant and the World Mother, but also for another very important reason.

They wanted to "collect the bodies" of their compatriots who had been captured and taken to Odil.

They quickly found the place and then saw with their own eyes the "mountainous" corpses of the Loa.

Since most Loas are in the form of wild beasts, the biological sample chamber filled with strange white bacteria in front of us is just like a burial ground where poachers hide the bodies of rare wild animals they have killed.

Various kinds of wild animals were piled up here, their corpses mostly mutilated, clearly indicating that some samples had been taken as test subjects.

They were simply left there, their once noble and powerful bodies piled up in a neglected corner with the other victims, utterly devoid of dignity. Although the preservation conditions in the Titan facility were quite good, preventing the corpses from decaying badly, the scene, resembling a mass grave, enraged the Loas who rushed in.

Even old Gani, hiding in the corner, was clenching his claws and roaring.

Just because the perpetrators found the victim a very exquisite coffin, does that mean others should forgive those damned thugs?

It's a case of feeling sorry for one's own kind.

"Blasphemy!"

The spirit of the World Holy Spirit Rezan was summoned here by the deeply shocked Princess Talanji. Upon seeing the abandoned Loa bodies, the enormous spirit tyrannosaurus roared in anger.

It was not the only child of the Sun Dragon Mother Shibala, but only Rezan survived. The corpse of one of its brothers lay piled up in the desolate mountain of corpses ahead.

"They've all been parasitized by Gau'huun's spores, don't touch them!"

The hunting god Gonk, with his sharpest eyes, screamed and stopped Akunda from touching the remains of a lion, Loa. The good-natured Akunda listened to the advice and immediately retreated. As he shook his head and wagged his tail, a bolt of lightning shot out, trying to ignite the desecrated corpses and give his kin the final dignity.

However, instead of igniting the corpses, the lightning bolt awakened the "evil" hidden within them.

Amidst the eerie roar that shook the earth, a stitched-together monster, composed of the body of a Brontosaurus and the heads of a lion, a raptor, and an alligator snapping turtle, stood up, swaying slightly.

This creature was covered in white bacteria, its corrosive spores forming a web, and disgusting parasites were active on its decaying body, trying to crawl out.

This was clearly G'huun taking advantage of the Titan Guardians' habit of not disposing of their experimental subjects in a timely manner, using his own parasitic spores to create this corrupted being.

Seeing the "resurrection of the dead" only fueled the Loas's rage.

They were about to rush out and fight to bring peace to this wretched creature, but were met with angry shouts and rebukes from Rezan.

"Get out! All of you, get out!"

The Holy Spirit of the World continuously mobilized the power of faith, transforming himself from a spiritual being into a physical, sun-drenched Devilsaur.

Its eyes blazed with fury as it roared at the other Loas:
“Your flesh and blood will be infected, this is Ghohuun’s trick! But I am not afraid of it, all of you go out! Stay outside and guard it until I give it a rest, then you can light the funeral fire.”

The Loas were very unwilling, but being corrupted was indeed a big problem.

If the Loas in this compartment cannot resist Ghohuun's parasitic possession, then neither can they. At this moment, Tokali truly felt that his flesh and blood were simply a burden to the Loas.

Perhaps following in the footsteps of Rezan in pursuing an "eternal spiritual body" is the right path for the Loa.

Tokali took one last, sorrowful look at the remains of a Triceratops lying among the corpses; if it wasn't mistaken, it must be its poor cousin.

It disappeared in the Nazmir jungle a long time ago.

Tokali had been praying that his cousin had just stumbled into a trap and was actually still alive somewhere in the world, but at this moment it was utterly heartbroken.

They've been dead for a long time.

They died at the hands of those vicious Titan Guardians!
Tokari is a beast, and it is not that it cannot understand the Titans' need to study the weaknesses of the Old Gods, but for those true gods of the universe, who hold the truth, is it really necessary for them to go to this extent?

Perhaps, in their eyes, the creatures of Azeroth are not worthy of questioning.

At Akunda's call, it dragged its heavy body out of the compartment, leaving Rezan, the leader, roaring as it clashed with the disgusting, putrid devourer.

The Loas were dejected when the heavy doors closed.

Just as old Gani was about to say something to lighten the mood, the Loas suddenly heard a scream, and then saw a female Titan Guardian rushing out of a hall ahead, being chased by the stone-scaled dragon Ilydikon.

"Activate the protection protocol! We must prevent the sample from being contaminated."

The guardian, holding aloft the light-cutting axe used for experiments, shouted, drawing the attention of all the Loas.

"That axe was used for experiments."

Gunker, brandishing his claws, whispered to the other Loas:
“Those corpses all had marks from being cut by a sharp axe. I’m not mistaken, those were the marks left by that weapon.”

"She is the one who killed our compatriots."

The Wind Lord Paku roared:
"She's the executioner!" "Kill her!"

Tocalli lowered his head and charged forward relentlessly amidst the heavy hooves, while Akunda beside him unleashed thunderbolts that struck the Pure Mother's body.

She was being attacked by Ilyudicone when she was hit, and while she was losing her footing in defense, Tocalli rammed her head into her body.

The enraged Loas swarmed forward, tearing at the Pure Mother's body like a hunting pack. Even old Gani secretly picked up the Pure Mother's weapon while viciously tearing at the fully conscious Titan Guardian's body, leaving clear claw marks on it.

The Stone Scale Dragon was very pleased with that venting, frenzied rage.

This creature flew back and forth through the valleys inside Odil, constantly summoning mountains and rocks to bombard the pitiful, corrupted, and parasitized hosts.

It roared loudly:

"Look! This is all the work of the Titans! Remember this shame, and never forget their grave sins!"

In the hall, Hanan, the traveler from Haraniel, who had been found by Ovina, was about to step forward to stop her, but his leader grabbed his wrist.

"Our Lady of Purity was not defiled!"

Hanan shouted loudly to Ovina:

"She protected us in this place filled with terrible parasitic pollution. She is a good person."

"Why don't you go and see what these 'good people' you're talking about have done to their fellow Loa people?"

Ovina shook her head and said:

“Studying the Old Gods may be just an ordinary job for her, but it means disaster for other groups. Uldir, the Titan city, is such a collection of disasters, warning us not to pursue the right answer in the wrong way.”

Sigh, the outside world is too complicated. No wonder the elders don't let us come out.

They cannot be judged as 'good' or 'bad' here.

However, the Pure Mother is a Titan guardian, as recorded in our city, and her mind can be uploaded.

Go and search, Hanan.

If you believe she doesn't deserve to die, then find her mental circuitry. We will take it to the Chamber of the Heart and hand it over to Mother World to judge her fate.

"click"

The head of the Virgin Mary was torn apart by the claws of the saber-toothed tiger Gibour, thrown into the air, and then shattered by Akunda's thunderous attack.

In the secret chamber where the Loa's body was kept, Rezan had already knocked the evil, putrid devourer to the ground. It spewed spirit fire in an attempt to burn it, but the thing was incredibly tough.

"not like this."

Diakum's voice echoed in Rezan's ears as he said:
"You have inherited the power of the sun from your mother, and you should make good use of it."

"But I am now a spirit, a vigilant, and I find it difficult to withstand the scorching heat of the sun."

Rezan used its powerful legs to subdue the struggling parasitic monster, and sighed:
"Having received the title of Holy Spirit, I must give up some things; this is only natural."

"How could the sun be such an inconvenient thing?"

The Vigilant imparted his mastery of sunlight to Rezan, a Loa born in the sun, who was destined to be a member of the People of Light.

As Rezan invoked the sun, the spines of its spirit body lit up one by one. Golden lightning coiled around the giant demon dragon's body and tail, and after charging up with a roar to the sky, it unleashed scorching solar fire at the evil freak beneath its feet.

Under the most intense and fiery flames of nature, the putrid devourer perished with a scream, purifying Gauthorn's parasitic spores along with it.

Those evil things had already parasitized Rezan's spirit during the fierce battle, but through Diakum's teachings, Rezan mastered the sun and became the Holy Spirit of Light, instantly incinerating those vicious and insidious creatures.

"You should sing praises to the sun, Rezan. You should tell the paladins who follow you about the sun's glory. You should guide the Zandalari trolls to embrace the sunlight."

In the now quiet Loa mortuary, Diakum said:
"Go, make good use of the sun's purification to bring peace to these poor souls."

"But your swarm..."

Rezan had witnessed the power of the Shadow Chaser swarm before, and it whispered:
"The bodies of the Loa are also very valuable samples. If the Zerg swarm craves to devour genes and evolve, perhaps these Loa would already be dead. But if they can contribute to the future of Azeroth and the Starsea, perhaps..."

"No!"

Dick refused:
"I was tempted, but the swarm disdained to achieve supreme evolution in this way. It wasn't that they had the same morality as me, but simply because indiscriminately devouring parasitized genes was quite deadly before cracking Gorhun's genetic code."

I didn't want to leave Ghosn any chance of a comeback, so I refused this 'gift of fate'.

Give them their final dignity, Rezan.

Take their ashes back to Dazar'alor and tell every priest and believer about their fate.

We must be wary of seemingly wonderful 'concepts'; how can perfect order be bestowed by others?

"You are a true benefactor."

Lezan sighed.

Then, under Diakum's gaze, he summoned the sun to shine upon him, showering golden flames upon every corner of this burial ground, allowing the dead souls to rest in peace.

Rezan stood amidst the golden flames, gazing at the wretched remains reduced to ashes, and thought to itself:
I wonder if the Loas who were captured and brought here begged for mercy when they died.
I wonder if the Titan Guardians felt even the slightest bit of pleading from these intelligent beings.
So, are these tragedies also the so-called "necessary sacrifices for forging order"?

Ha, how hypocritical.

------

Ghokhon was trembling.

It curled up its bloated and bizarre body once again and hid in the Titan's cage, even though the cage's defenses had been completely eroded and rendered inoperable by itself.

In theory, no one can break the Titan's seal and reach his cave.

But it just wouldn't stop trembling.

It could mock the Pure Mother's pathetic attempts, attack her spirit at will, and tell her that from the moment she was born from her laboratory, no power could destroy the mighty G'huun.

But the truth is, it is not powerful enough to be omnipotent.

"Oh, you're going to die."

A chilling voice traveled through the vibrations of the void, giving the trembling G'huun a sense of grasping at its last lifeline. It roared:
"Help me! You promised me you would serve me, N'Zoth! Help me! Save me!"

"I really want to, but I can't."

The Thousand-Bearded Demon said regretfully:

"You didn't do anything wrong, you didn't even provoke him, but he's already here, so don't waste your time. Perhaps it's better to use your last moments to leave a will?"

"you!"

Ghosn was furious.

The creature, resembling an enlarged parasite, roared:
"You promised me that."

Don't bother!

Another sound rang out as the Titan facility above exploded, and amidst the roar of the scorching light crashing down, golden sunlight shone out, completely igniting the "fungal garden" covered with white strains.

"It won't come to me on its own initiative just for you. It doesn't dare! But this isn't the fault of the Thousand-Bearded Demon. It's just following the nature of a void creature. When faced with someone in need of help, it casually makes a vow that it is powerless to fulfill."

Even if I were N'Zoth, I wouldn't dare face myself as I am now.

Diakum strode in, carrying the Ashbringer, and amidst the waving and shrouding of the golden sundial, he said:
"Save your energy. Your existence will be annihilated and you will die here, but your power and potential will be used properly."

One day, the swarm will sing your name throughout the entire starry sky, and all who hear of it will tremble and hide in fear.

The infected heart of the swarm, the parasitic power of the swarm.

G'huun, the heart of the swarm.

In the hope of a bright future, convince yourself to accept this inevitable end, if it allows you to die a noble death.

Ps:

To prevent Titan fans from accusing me of bashing Titans again, I'm posting the original text here:

"The experiments conducted in Uldir included countless biological forms, including several Loa spirits living in the forests surrounding Zandalar. These experiments took the lives of the Loa spirits, but their remains were not properly disposed of, which greatly pleased the evil will imprisoned in Uldir."
