Chapter 573, Section 34: The Great Deeds of the Supreme Thief King - Rafaam Steals Tomorrow for His Hometown - Bonus Chapter [510]
(Bonus chapter for "Diejia | Guo" [5/10])
That ray of light shone brightly.
In this dim star field, countless years after Kalesh was destroyed by the Devourer of Worlds, when both stars were old and about to be extinguished by the erosion of the void, a more passionate and enthusiastic light was finally lit once again.
Just as the lesser gods sent by the Void faction were about to cross the Void Gate and enter the edge of the Sea of Matter, the Holy Light finally dispatched its supreme warriors to arrive.
The annihilation claws slammed down by the Void Souls were constantly consumed and worn down in the blinding light, like a dog's paw thrown into lava. They were burned and carbonized in a very short time, and finally exploded in a fierce energy conflict, turning into a stubborn reef in the flow of light that swept around.
Gone in a flash.
Of course, such damage is nothing to a Voidling.
It is essentially a violent and disordered energy creature, and the concept of missing limbs is nonexistent. The loss of a body can be restored simply by replenishing energy. However, those ethereal walkers who have to launch a victorious assault with the lesser gods of their own faction on the battlefield are in a terrible predicament.
The Holy Light's control over the void was displayed in an extremely cruel way at this moment. When the sun's rays shone down on the sea of stars, the energy entities illuminated felt the threat of annihilation.
They roared out chaotic wails, devouring the light and heat with their enormous appetites.
But it's like a scorching poison; swallowing it will gnaw at your bones and burn your heart.
One by one, the Voidwalkers transformed into scorching bubbles, like lights lit in a sea of stars, their final glimmer signifying impending annihilation.
They were exploding and annihilating as a group. Each ethereal walker's death caused the energy to go out of control, but it was then ignited by the constant light and heat, turning into a floating holy flame.
In just a few seconds, the entire star sea was filled with such golden flames, and for a moment, the dim Karesh star field seemed to be illuminated.
The flames, the overhead light source, and the two dying suns shone brightly together.
However, this extraordinary spectacle of "three days in the sky" did not last long. When the last ethereal lord on the battlefield, "Annihilator" Zuramat, was also burned to death in the cave where he was temporarily hiding, the dancing "death flames" that filled the starry sea took off on a silent command and converged in the same place.
One after another, clusters of holy flames leaped and merged, causing the fourth "sun" to quickly emerge on the desolate battlefield.
The holy fire, forged from the burning of hundreds of thousands of Void Servants, was merging, while the weary Lightforgers, amidst cheers, also raised their own holy flames high, allowing their power to merge into it.
They knew that it was the prelude to the vigilant's attack, the gathering of power for a thunderous assault, and the undying holy sun that would dispel the darkness of all things.
"Anser's Solar Fist" is coming soon!
The dancing, pulsating orbs of light exploded more and more violently, their presence beginning to erode the surrounding ethereal starships, igniting those starships that had been destroyed in battle and were unable to move, all within the convergence of the solar fist.
The flames erupting from the exploding starship were also absorbed, until the Holy Light General concealed his solar radiance, raised his left hand on the battlefield, clenched it into a heavy fist, and collided once again with the annihilation claws smashed down by the roaring void ghosts before him. The scorching "golden sun" was then drawn to smash into the evil god of the void.
The latter, of course, sensed the threat.
Its twisted and morbid Void Wings throbbed behind it, causing its massive evil body to burst out of the Void Node and, amidst the infusion of chaotic energy from the Sea of No Light, to create layers upon layers of energy matrices in front of it.
But the speed at which the Solar Fist arrived was beyond imagination, moving at the speed of light like a real ray of light, leaving a blinding trail of light on the battlefield.
The next second, the two collided.
An exaggerated burst of holy flames enveloped the tyrannical void undead and the "Eye of Terror" behind it, bathing the ruins of the planet Kalesh, the main body of the rift, in an unprecedented "burial of light."
At this moment, all the Void Starships sounded piercing alarms, and a terrifying energy shock was about to occur. Even so, the Void beings in those starships still stared intently at the light that was erupting above their fallen homeland.
The light, brighter than a thousand suns, dispelled the cruel shadows, like a powerful hand flipping over those powerless and sorrowful memories, pushing forward time that had long since stopped.
The dark future, sealed off by the void, was kicked open by the blazing, holy sun.
As the bright and extravagant hymn echoed through the sea of stars, the holy light and heat that shattered the void and the souls of the dead transformed into platinum-colored holy cavalry galloping across every hill in the ruins of Karesh, washing over every valley like mercury spilling across the land.
Wherever they go, darkness is not allowed to linger.
The spirits cheered.
Even though the Void Eye, propped up by Kalecgos's shattered form, was still spinning, and even though the roar of the Sea of No Light surged with an even more sinister Void backlash.
This battle is not over yet.
But "victory" is no longer out of reach, just as "going home" is no longer a luxury.
As the light faded, amidst the gasps of everyone on the battlefield, the shattered celestial body of Kalecgos, which had been swallowed, infused, and shaped by the void for countless years, seemed to have been carefully polished in clear water. Under the shroud of the chaotic and filthy Eye of the Void, it emitted a clear light.
The shadows were finally dispelled, allowing the mountains and valleys of Karesh to see the light of day once more.
Although no life exists there anymore, and although only ruins remain to record those years of suffering, it floats so gently in the heartbroken yet enchanting gaze of the spirits, like a grieving mother calling for her child's return, just as a cleansed coin shines brightly.
"Come on!"
Colonel Amir, a hunter from the Order of the Void, had already lost half of his fleet, but when he saw his homeland, Kalecgos, finally free from the torment of the Void, this Void commander, known for his composure, still erupted with intense emotions that shouldn't belong to an energy being.
It brandished its nodal battleaxe on its bridge, roaring at its equally excited warriors:
"Reach the shore! Full speed ahead, land in Karesh! Even if we die, we must die in our homeland!"
But Amir is not the most impulsive ethereal being.
The flagship of the Revenge Army, the Revenge, had already set off. Prince Sahadar, who should have been stationed at the rear at all times, was now moving forward at full speed with his flagship.
Abandoning the escorting frigate, it rushed towards its homeland in the dark star field filled with luminous feathers, like a cruise ship sailing on a sea of light.
That's Kalecgos!
That was the territory that Sahadar originally ruled.
That is its kingdom, its majesty, its dignity, and the place it longs for.
Even after forming the Revenge Army and vowing to hunt down Dimensius, the Devourer of All Realms, even after going to extremes day after day under the brewing and impact of hatred, even after no longer being able to command all the Void Spirits.
It has fallen from its throne as the "King of the Voidwalkers," but at this moment it still hopes to be the first Voidwalker to return to Kalecgos. Well, perhaps this is the incomprehensible competitive spirit in the hearts of old men.
The ethereal beings are charging!
They piloted their warships, charging through the sea of stars!
Guided by the Vengeance, which was leading the charge, the Void Starships, which had originally planned to withdraw from the battlefield, launched a frenzied attack on Kalesh.
They crossed battlefields littered with the ruins of warships and the ashes of the void, crossed desolate star rings formed after the world's defeat, and finally crossed the towering giant standing in light and shadow.
Diakum stood on the battlefield, his crystal body "cooling down," his solid Anserian body reshaping itself into a form more like Dick's with each passing second.
The massive crystal from the divine transformation was like a divine statue of the Eredar, carved by an artisan and made to be larger than a starship.
This was a step that should have been completed before stepping into the battlefield. Unfortunately, Dick didn't even have time to "get a haircut and a shave" before leaving home. At the moment the seventh day and night transition ended, and the "occupation" was completed, he crossed the phase wormhole opened by the Twin Walkers and arrived at Kalecgos's Void Battlefield.
He had no choice but to reshape his appearance in the battle against his enemies.
The good news is that the process was quite quick.
The broken edge crystals surrounded his body, which was now larger than Storm Fortress, forming a shimmering "ring" structure; those were the crystals that needed to be "removed".
Amidst the shimmering star ring, Diakum opened his right hand, looking down at Saloras standing there in his palm. The latter wiped away her tears with joy, then proudly raised the Dark Heart high in her hand, as if showing off her accomplishment to her lover.
Diakum laughed.
He clenched his fists and made Saloras transform into a stream of light, returning to the side of Orestes, who was nearly scared to death, whereupon she was embraced by her own sister.
The "Giant of Light" standing amidst the sea of stars grasped the small, dark heart. As he raised his left hand, the Ashbringer leaped into his palm like a streak of light, and the blazing flames were sculpted into a holy blade that could incinerate all things.
Just as the Void Undead in front of him were about to destroy those Void Starships, he swung his sword and slashed at the guy's shoulder.
The burst of light unleashed the filthy, evil energy.
This stitched monster, composed of fel and shadow elements, is transforming into its fel form, which is clearly more destructive. This indicates that it has sensed the threat from the Vigilant and is preparing itself for a more combative state.
But the Giant of Light doesn't care about this or that.
Ashbringer unleashed three consecutive strikes, forcing the Void Undead into a retreat. Each strike ignited a portion of the strange, stitched-together energy, causing golden sparks to dance across the battlefield of the Star Wars.
It was forced back from the airspace above Karesh.
Under the relentless attacks of the Giant of Light, the monster was forced toward the direction of the Eye of the Void. Behind the dangerous starfield where the two were fighting, the Voidlings had already approached their riddled home planet.
Karesh may have once been a great world, but it has long since fallen apart, with only its most precious regions floating forlornly in the sea of stars as shattered continents.
This means that as long as the Voidlings have enough starships, they can physically drag their homeworld away from the Eye of the Void.
It couldn't work before because the power essence of the Devourer of All Realms bound it, but now the Vigilant has purified those obscure void divine powers. Although the Void Spirits are excited, they know very well what they need to do now.
Starships from various factions quickly docked in different areas of the shattered continent. They dropped traction locks from their starships, and thousands of traction locks were fixed in different continental shelf areas. With the help of the Dragon Kings flying around, these traction objects were quickly secured.
Finally, under the coordination and command of the Node Prince, the starship exerted its strength like a tug-of-war, freeing the last remaining part of its home planet from the chaotic gravity of the Eye of the Void.
They must send the main body of the shattered continent out of the star ring as soon as possible, otherwise the aftershocks of the battle between the Vigilant Void Lesser Gods will definitely damage Kalesh again.
As for whether this desolate, shattered continent can be restored after it is towed away...
This is not a problem for the Vigilant to consider. But the Voidlings have a lot of advanced technology, and as long as each faction contributes manpower and resources, rebuilding Kalecgos is only a matter of time.
However, it would be difficult to drag a bound, broken continent with these starships. The Vigilant noticed this and sensed the vengeful tide brewing on the other side of the Eye of the Void.
He needs to finish this quickly!
Although he was very confident in his new body, he really didn't want to fight against several Void Gods on his own again, especially since Sargeras wouldn't help him this time.
So, taking advantage of the retreat caused by the Void Souls striking his body, the Vigilant turned around in the sea of stars to gather his strength, first letting the Holy Light envelop the edge of the shattered continent, and then kicking it onto the continental shelf of Kalish.
Holy light is exploding!
A dazzling spectacle, like a land bombardment, erupted around the shattered continent. With the help of this tremendous force, Kalecgos finally broke free from the gravitational interference of the Eye of the Void, allowing the starship to pull it and begin to accelerate for a short time.
But this delay gave the Void Reaper on the other side an opportunity.
The monstrous creature swung its two claws, forged from fel energy and shadow, howling as it lunged at Diakum, using tainted energy to restrain the recoil and drag the giant of light into the Eye of the Void.
A piece of the crystal body's shoulder was torn off, but the vigilant did not panic.
When Kalecgos left the main battlefield and entered the Shattered Ring, he finally unleashed his full power. Diakum had wanted to test the war powers of the Sun God, and now this pathetic stitched monster, which looked like it had "powered" itself from the Void through fel energy, was the perfect tool for him to practice on.
"The sun is moving!"
On the edge of the shattered continent of Kalecgos, standing beneath a massive starship traction lock, Yrel pointed to the starfield above and shouted to those around him.
Aegwynn turned around and saw the two red dwarf stars in the Kalecgos region being pulled and repositioned, "falling" towards the Eye of the Void.
What is he planning to do?
The weaver shouted loudly:
"Is he going to use two suns as weapons? Is this the power of the sun god? Literally, 'manipulating the sun'?"
"He's not just using two dying suns as weapons."
The Star Soul Spokesperson noticed Diakum's tactical intentions. She turned and grabbed Agil, the Phase Thief beside her, shouting at him:
"Quickly! Have your fleet accelerate further and get as far away from here as possible before those two suns crash into the Eye of the Void and explode!"
The energy light beneath the Phase Thief's bandages flickered like startled light strips.
It dared not delay.
But Rafaam, the Supreme Thief King, whose body was being "repaired" by Nozdormu, was staring at the trajectory of the two crimson suns as if he were watching the most extravagant theatrical performance in the cosmos, cheering:
"That's so cool! That's awesome! The great Rafaam knew that calling this guy over was absolutely the right thing to do! Two suns forming a destructive missile, sending the Void wraiths back to their home planet, that's so cool!"
The two dying suns in the star field are falling faster and faster.
They formed a "double star orbit" trajectory around Diakum as the center. As the red dwarf was pulled and accelerated by the power of the sun god, it finally approached the node of the Eye of the Void like a meteor. The energy stitched monster that was dragging Diakum toward the Eye of the Void also sensed that something was wrong.
It dared not gamble on what would happen if it were hit by a sun.
It doesn't want to gamble.
Although energy beings have difficulty thinking effectively because they lack brains, it's not unreasonable for them to lack any wisdom at the level of lesser gods.
Despite being chased and slashed by Diakum's holy blade, the creature retreated in a very disheveled manner toward the Eye of the Void, trying to escape back to the Sea of No Light before the two dying suns crashed down upon it.
In just a few flashes, they created distance; their retreat, measured in astronomical units, was so fast that Diakum couldn't catch up.
However, it is rather undignified that the target escaped on the very first appearance of the Sun God's might.
So Dick discarded Ashbringer, raised his hands as if gathering energy blasts, and unleashed the power of the Sun God's body to the limit of his control, changing the trajectory of the dying sun that was already hurtling towards him like a meteor.
The smaller, and therefore faster, red dwarf star descended like a "death messenger" trailing a fiery tail.
Just before the Void Wraith, emitting a shrill scream and unleashing a tangible, dark impact, fled into the Sea of No Light, the dying sun crashed down upon its head.
The two suns in the Karesh star system are already very weak.
They had been eroded by the void for countless years, and their internal energy had long since depleted. But at the moment they were summoned by the Radiance of Ten Thousand Suns, like two old soldiers, they straightened their backs and accelerated the burning of their internal energy in a self-immolating manner.
This was the last explosion before it went out.
If the sun could speak, it would probably thank Diakum for giving them one last glorious and dignified moment of burning.
Then die, void wretch!
"boom"
The shattered sun unleashed its last rays of light and heat at this moment, the crimson afterglow like blood, and the largest natural light source born in the sea of stars formed a spectacular "spacetime collapse" in the instant of the explosion.
It's like a "black hole" being born, causing light to fade and matter to be absorbed.
The light dimmed into a cold white glow, ultimately vanishing in an instant into the desolate sea of stars.
The rings formed by the shattered world of Kalesh were mostly annihilated in this explosion. If it weren't for Dick standing in front of them, holding the Dark Heart, and absorbing most of the impact energy for the fleeing Kalesh continent, that tragic star would also have perished in the explosion.
The Void God is dead.
An energy entity that has already been slashed could not possibly survive such an explosion. Dimensius might have a sliver of hope in this case, but this stitched-together monster, which was brought from fel energy by the Void, clearly could not.
It does not possess the terrifying power to devour everything.
This explosion also brought the gods in the Sea of No Light, who were attempting to step into the Eye of the Void, to a halt.
They gazed towards the material world, where a giant of light sculpted from crystal stood amidst the sea of stars. Beyond the light emanating from him, another, even larger, red dwarf star was also undergoing its final, fiery descent.
That was clearly a "gift" reserved for the next lucky person who would cross the void gate.
Diakum could also sense the obscure yet sharp aura on the other side of the Eye of the Void. He used to need Sargeras's threat to deter these guys who wanted to extinguish the sun.
But now, there's no need!
There is no sun in the Sea of No Light, and I am no match for them there, but how many galaxies are there in the material world, and how many of those galaxies still have burning stars?
"I can only smash one more to death."
He said in a light tone:
"If you all attack me together, I'm sure to die here. So, want to give it a try?"
There was no response from the Eye of the Void.
The gods had no intention of responding to the provocation of this "holy light brat." They vanished as silently as they had appeared.
"Ah"
The vigilant chuckled, looking back at the sun burning to its fullest extent, as if it had been reborn from the brink of death.
他 说:
"Go, do what you're supposed to do!"
The dying sun did not respond, but instead broke free of its trajectory in its next rotation, hurtling towards the Void Eye that had swaggered and triumphed for countless years, under the watchful gaze of the Sun God's successor.
It has been eroded and washed away by it for countless years. It has watched as the galaxies it should have nourished have become barren under the torment of the void. It has witnessed the tragedy of Kalecgos and the escape of the Voidlings.
It was supposed to emit endless light and heat to stop those monsters, but it failed.
Fortunately, Karesh's story will ultimately end with a happy ending.
Then let it burn.
Like a sun, burning until the very last moment before it dies out.
"boom"
The second explosion resounded throughout the boundless sea of stars.
In that blinding light, the Eye of the Void seemed to be ignited, like a torch thrown onto a pile of firewood.
It burned with a agonizing scream, like a spinning, dim sun.
"See, I told you, I'm going to take you to steal something powerful."
On the shattered continent of Kalecgos, Rafaam, while wrapping his energy body in bandages and boasting to Agil, proudly pointed to the ignited Eye of the Void.
The Supreme Thief King shouted:
"Hope! Ah, the most precious thing in the world, I stole tomorrow for Karesh. So, isn't that awesome, brother?"
"Awesome, awesome! The title of Supreme Thief King is well-deserved."
