Light's Dawn of Azeroth

Chapter 565, Part 26: You, the Red Dragon Queen, are bisexual! You're so frightened by the Drag

Chapter 565, Section 26: Fainted from the Dragon Queen's Friendship - How come you, the Red Dragon Queen, are bisexual?!
The Iceheart Dragon Velanoz felt like he was having a very long dream.

In that dream, I was still hunting and soaring freely in my "Frostfang Lands," maintaining a frequency of once every two months to meet my sister Alexstrasza in the territory of the Order Dragons.

They would fly together, hunt together, share and discuss the interesting things they had seen recently.

Alexstrasza would proudly demonstrate the wonders of those orthodox magics to him, even though he was not interested in them and even resisted them.

Vilanoz knew that it was Alexstrasza's unspoken "request," more like an invitation, that she hoped this ancient progenitor dragon would join the ranks of the dragon guardians.

After one of her flights, she even said something as silly as being willing to share the power of the queen with him.

But how can power be shared?

The powerful protodragons were the undisputed rulers of their territories; that was their law of survival. Once a second powerful dragon entered their territory, a fierce battle was inevitable.

strength!

Power is the basis for defining territory and frontiers.

However, the latter half of this dream always becomes unacceptable.

Velanos witnessed the war between the Order Dragons and the Proto-Dragon, a conflict that had raged for centuries, while he had intended to remain uninvolved.

He was unwilling to submit to the order and civilization bestowed upon him by the Titans, yet he also did not want to jeopardize the precious friendship between himself and Alexstrasza.

But the Order Dragons under the Red Dragon Queen's command have gone increasingly too far.

Did Alexstrasza not know that by condoning the invasion of the Order Dragons, she would ultimately turn her former best friends into enemies or even war?
Did she really not know?
Or is it that she doesn't care at all?
Until one day, when the cunning Ilyudicon brought the captured "egg thieves" to his lair and showed him how the Order Dragons shamelessly stole the eggs of the Proto-Dragon and took them back to their territory to infuse them with Order, something shattered in Vilanoz's heart.

She felt caught in the middle, and the last vestige of warmth in her already exhausted heart was cruelly ripped away by reality.

Alexstrasza had clearly sworn an oath to himself.

She said she would never go against the will of the proto-dragons and force them into the order; she said it was merely a "choice."

lie!

The lies forged by her dearest sister pierced Wilanos's heart, causing her to plunge into the vast glacier in that instant.

When she opened her eyes from the winter elements enveloping the ancient glacier, the silent and sorrowful Velanoz had already died in the pain of being frozen, leaving only the indifferent and powerful Iceheart Dragon alive.

"Wellanoz! What are you doing? Come help me!"

Philec's furious roar entered the still bewildered mind of the Iceheart Dragon, causing her to open her cold, frost-like dragon eyes with a start.

It wasn't a dream.

It's a shame; that's just a memory of a painful past.

She had indeed experienced two betrayals: her best sister ignored her advice and launched a war to devour her own kind, and then used her oath as a weapon to strike her heart.

But the evil seal of the Order Dragons has been broken. Although it is unknown who broke the evil seal, she is free.

Unfortunately, all she could see was darkness.

This is not some sentimental description; it is truly pitch-black darkness, and being in it, you feel a damned force pulling at you, making you clearly feel your life energy being devoured by something in the darkness.

Philec and Ilyudicon are fighting that dangerous thing.

But I can't see them at all.

All he could hear was the roar and wail of the fire dragon.

It was as if it were trapped by that monster. Ilyudicon was as cunning as ever, and while Philek rushed to fight, this gloomy fellow was trying to use the power of the earth to escape.

However, this prison was created by the dragons of order specifically to bind them. Neltharion imposed some kind of restriction on the entire mountain, making it impossible for Ilydikon to cross the land, and he was forced to turn back and fight alongside Philek.

Well, the fact that Ilyudicun was forced to take to the battlefield shows how dire the current situation is.

Iceheart Dragon flapped her wings and flew out of her freed cage. She froze her body, covering it with solid ice, to resist the all-pervasive invasion of darkness and the draining of her life.

But it's no use!
There is something colder than ice in the darkness, and the longer one stays in the darkness, the faster one's life force is drained.

"It is the flame of life!"

Philek seemed to be injured; this dragon avatar, who was always as volatile as fire, now shouted weakly:

"It's not draining our life force, it's extinguishing our life force! Don't go near it! Velanoz, stay away!"

But it's too late.

The brave Iceheart Dragon followed the flow of darkness and found its source.

She folded her wings and charged forward, bringing with her a chilling aura that could freeze everything. As the glacier's breath cleared a path for her, the powerful Ice Heart Dragon used her heavy wings to transform into giant hammers and lash out at the dark core before her.

She had already sensed the power of that evil thing.

Not powerful at all!

A single strike is enough to shatter the opponent.

But just as he crossed an unseen "line," a strange arc of light suddenly bloomed before Velanos's eyes, causing the Iceheart Dragon to look up in astonishment and see a "black sun" that had appeared above his head at some unknown time.

That was clearly some kind of evil, corrupting force.

The dim light, almost like a total solar eclipse, shone down. The entire sun was stained with black filth, leaving only a pale outer layer of light shining. But this light did not illuminate the darkness; instead, it made the surrounding darkness seem even more sinister.

"what!"

Iceheart Dragon let out a miserable scream.

She could clearly feel the dark winds blowing from all directions, threatening to extinguish the flame of her life under the eclipse.

She was unable to resist, or even knew how to resist, this strange and vicious "conceptual attack," and worst of all, the Iceheart Dragon could not escape.

The “weak” dark core turned its head to look at her.

The strange Void Butterfly Wings fluttered silently, causing the "monster" wielding a thirsty Fallen Hammer to reach out towards her, seemingly wanting to touch the Iceheart Dragon's unique and magnificent horns.

Don't let it touch you!

This was the only thought that popped into Willanos's mind.

If being exposed to the eclipse has already left me in such a miserable state, I'm afraid I'll die immediately if I come into contact with the core of darkness.

"Hang in there, you good-for-nothing!"

Philec's roar grew closer and closer in the darkness.

The fiery dragon slammed fiercely into the eclipse, then turned and spewed a mouthful of molten fire at Velanoz, who was struggling in the illusion. The fierce flames did not make the Iceheart Dragon feel the burning heat, but they dispelled a trace of coldness and allowed the heat to flow into its already "frozen" body.

She gained a brief respite and frantically flapped her wings to fly away from the eclipse, but when she turned to look at Philek, who was trapped there, she turned back to save him.

"Don't go there!"

Before it even got close, the giant tail covered in stone scales swept over, forcing Velanoz back.

Ilyudicon said in a somber tone:

“Philake wields the flames, and his life force is even stronger, allowing him to endure the eclipse for longer. We must find a way to escape this darkness quickly, or we will both die here!”
This must be a conspiracy by the Dragon of Order!
That thing is a void creature; don't go near it, our power can't move it.

"Are you going to abandon it?"

Wilanos scolded:
"It's like you instigating us to fight in a war, while you yourself hide behind the scenes and collude with Jaladin?"

"That war is over. Are you sure you want to waste our precious little time discussing this?"

Ilyudicon calmly said:

"Our prison is not far from the Dragon City of Valdraken. I recognize this place. To the north are the Blue Dragons' Academy of Egesia and the Mist Veil Ossuary."

do you remember?

During the war, I dug a tunnel that led straight here, and you even used it to attack the Blue Dragonlands, right beneath the earth! Help me blast open this fortified earth, and I can take you away from here.

In addition, I sensed the presence of Lysages.

It's a bit strange, but it's definitely her.

I suspect she released us, but the Dragons of Order certainly wouldn't allow her to do so; perhaps they're already besieging Lessages outside! Isn't that your sister? How can you bear to let her die today?"

Wiranoz gritted her teeth and followed Ilydicon as they plunged into the darkness towards the ground below.

Philek's screams echoed from above, and it was hard to imagine what had happened to make the warlike Philek let out such a weak wail.

But it's not actually as complicated as Iceheart Dragon thinks.

Philek is the dragon of fire, wielding the power of fire. Although Diakum is currently somewhat dazed and confused by Anser's eclipse, he does indeed wield the concepts of fire and light.

It's practically the bane of this fiery dragon.

As soon as the ferocious Philek entered the Eclipse Land, he lost control of the flames. The raging fires that had once been used in war, now out of control, did not harm Diakum, but instead began to ignite Philek.

The fire dragon was ignited by its own flames.

This sounds a bit far-fetched, but the truth is that Diakum didn't lift a finger; Philek just lay there on his own.

It was being scorched by the flames and was already emitting the smell of roasted meat. If it weren't for the solar eclipse overhead constantly drawing out its light and heat, Philek would probably have turned into a miserable "Ash Dragon" by now.

But this brainless guy stubbornly refused to admit defeat. Even in this state, he still dragged his burning body towards Diakum, only to be hit hard on the head by Twilight's Hammer as soon as he flew over.

The hammer blow was like opening a dojo in Philek's head, creating a huge commotion. The fiery dragon howled in pain, just like a dog being hit on the head.

Vilanoz, who was bombarding the earth below, could no longer bear it. She turned and rushed into the sky, but was stopped by Ilyudicon.

"What are you going to do!"

The stone-scaled dragon roared:
"Don't go and die."

"I will not abandon it."

Iceheart Dragon scolded:
"You can leave if you want. This is my choice. Get out of my way!"

She slammed into the stone dragon, letting her weakened wings, carrying a chill, soar into the darkness. She knew she couldn't withstand the eclipse, but she couldn't bring herself to watch Philek die here.

Although this guy is indeed brainless and a complete warmonger, he is his compatriot and his comrade-in-arms.

Philek was willing to fight the Dragons of Order for the benefit of the Proto-Dragon; he was the first dragon to rebel against the Titan Order, and he was its leader. *Bang!*

Vilanoz shoved the already seriously injured Philec away, but she herself was "locked" by the eclipse, facing the darkness of everything being extinguished, which almost suffocated her at that moment.

She saw once again the dim eyes beneath those butterfly wings.

Adorned with the Crown of Darkness, those eyes, seemingly from the void, seem to see through all the mysteries of one's heart.

The moment she was being watched, all the emotions that had been frozen in Vilanoz's heart began to collapse and churn, like a vicious curse, forcing her to recall Alexstrasza's betrayal again and again. In just a few seconds, her mind was already stretched to the point of breaking.

The spirit is more unable to bear it than the body, as if an invisible hand is pulling at memories.

First, let the beautiful friendship nourish the heart, then stage the cold betrayal, repeating this several times until the eyes of the Ice Heart Dragon become cloudy.

"Wake up!"

Ilydekon's roar and its broken little claws slapped at Velanoz's head, forcing the Iceheart Dragon to turn its head with difficulty before it was thrown out of the eclipse by Ilydekon.

"I'll take it underground, you two run!"

The cunning stone-scaled dragon shouted:
“I’m afraid I won’t survive, but you two, once you get out, continue the fight with Lysages! The Titans have taken our world, we can’t give up! We must keep fighting until we die.”

It roared madly, using its elemental forepaws to grip the bone-chilling darkness before it, pulling it down to the ground.

The pit has been dug; all that's needed is to drag it underground and seal it up.
"You hate the Titans?"

A melodious voice suddenly floated in Ilyudicun's heart, which had already resolved to die.

In the stone-scaled dragon's astonishment, it heard the other party say:

"Then perhaps we can talk about this great and difficult matter, but not now. After all, I haven't seen your 'sincerity' yet."

"boom"

The dazed and confused Iceheart Dragon crashed into the dark stone wall.

Before it lay the falling Philek, who no longer even had the strength to scream.

Wiranoz felt like she was going to die, and with a splitting headache, she wished she could just die right now.

She felt like her head was about to explode, and she was hallucinating.

Alexstrasza emerged from the darkness, folded her wings, and appeared before him. She lifted him into her arms with her jeweled claws, then flapped her wings and struggled to fly him away from the darkness.

"Even as I'm dying, I'm still thinking of you?"

The Iceheart Dragon closed its eyes and cried out in sorrow:
“I hate you! Alexstrasza, I will never forgive you, but, well, it’s better to just die like this.”

"You won't die, sister."

The Red Dragon Queen was filled with endless guilt and sorrow.

She held the weakened Velanos in her arms and flew with all her might towards the outside of the prison, saying:
"I've already lost you once, I won't let anything take you away again."

Enveloped in darkness, the Iceheart Dragon was powerless to struggle; she could only weakly shout:

"Ha, lies! Don't even think about hurting me with lies again!"

------

When Velanos opened her eyes again, she found herself lying in a comfortable dragon's nest, atop an ancient tower, with a vast expanse of white glaciers and snowfields in sight.

This is the Dragon Sleeping Temple.

This place was already established before the War of the Scaled Ones.

This is a sacred site built by the Dragons of Order to commemorate their victory over the dangerous Galakrond alongside Tyr. From here, one can even see Galakrond's enormous skeleton, which has not perished with time, standing in the distance of the Wyrmrest Temple.

“Ysera told me to put you in Valdraken, where there are enough dragon healers to treat you, but I know you won’t like that place filled with ordinal magic.”

It is a pity that your cold yet rich land of Icefang perished in the Great Sundering of the War of the Ancients.

However, you're probably already familiar with this new continent called 'Northrend'.

Alexstrasza's voice rang out from the edge of the dragon's lair. The Red Dragon Queen stood in her illusory form at the temple's edge, gazing sadly at the ancient glacier to the north, and said:

"Do you remember this place? More than 20,000 years ago, you and I, we had our final duel in that ancient glacier. You could have won, Velanos, I know you held back."

You are already heartbroken and exhausted by my betrayal, and you long to die in my hands so that you can be completely free.

I'm sorry, I was too young back then.

I failed to perceive the true feelings beneath your icy exterior; I have let you down.

Vilanoz remained silent.

She is too weak now, and she no longer has the power to transform into an illusion. She can only lie in the Red Dragon Queen's lair in the ferocious form of a giant dragon.

She didn't want to hear these lies anymore, so she closed her eyes and covered her ears with her huge wings.

But in the next instant, she saw an ancient artifact near the dragon's nest.

It was a shattered statue, the one Alexstrasza had just transformed into the Dragon of Order. It was placed in a frame-like confinement, covered in cracks but repaired by ice.

That was a gift Alexstrasza had once given her, which was smashed when their friendship broke down, and then given to her former sister by her servants after their final battle.

The Red Dragon Queen kept it.

Even though more than 20,000 years have made it less beautiful and exquisite than it once was, she must have cherished it very much to place it in the dragon's nest.

"I know you don't want to hear it, I know my past actions have broken your heart."

The Red Dragon Queen walked to the massive body of the Iceheart Dragon, reached out and stroked Vilanoz's chilling frost horn. She smiled gently and said:

"Then let me express my apology with more concrete actions. I realize my past mistakes. I thought that the reason I couldn't make up my mind to give up this power, despite Ysera's persuasion, was because I was attached to my duty."

But no.

Vilanoz, after seeing you, I realized that the reason I couldn't give up the power of order was simply because I had never dared to admit that you were right.

Twenty thousand years ago, I was indeed on the wrong side.

Let's go.

Let's correct this mistake together.

"Humph"

Iceheart Dragon remained silent.

She couldn't be bothered with this two-faced "best friend."

Alexstrasza wasn't annoyed; she simply waved her hand, instructing her consort, the red dragon archmage Krasus, to open a portal to the Silithus desert.

She tapped Velanoz's dragon horns and said:
“Let’s go and pay homage to Mother World. Didn’t you once tell me that you always felt that the dragon race should have a mother?”

We do have them, sisters.

We found her. She's waiting for us to come home too. Come on, Lysages and the others are waiting for you there.

"Mother World?"

A thought struck Vilanoz.

She forced her weakened body to fold her wings and glanced at Krasus in his elven form. The cold light in her eyes sent a chill down the spine of the red dragon archmage.

As the Red Dragon Queen's most beloved consort, Krasus always felt that the malice of this powerful Iceheart Dragon towards him was not just due to the grudges between the Proto-Dragons and the Order Dragons.

He glanced at his queen with a puzzled look, and Alexstrasza gestured for him not to mind Velanos's coldness.

When they crossed the portal and arrived at the Star Soul Temple in Silithus, the Iceheart Dragon looked in surprise at the Thunderstorm Dragon overhead, which was summoning wind, thunder, and rain to fall on the desert as if welcoming her arrival.

That's Lysages!

But it is completely different from the violent image in my memory.

"Common Queen of all the guardian dragons, are you sure you are ready?"

Before the rather divine staircase of the Secret Temple, Aegwynn, holding the Heart of Azeroth, solemnly looked at the Red Dragon Queen.

The spokesperson for Star Soul loudly proclaimed:

"The guardian power bestowed by the Titans can never be regained once relinquished! That means the Guardian Dragons will completely break away from the Titan Guardian system and return to the Star Soul Mother's command. If you still have doubts, leave now."

Titans' servants are not welcome here.

"Ok?"

Iceheart Dragon stared wide-eyed in astonishment.

She finally realized what Alexistasar meant when she said she would prove her apology with "actions".

"Yes, I've made my decision."

The Red Dragon Queen took a deep breath.

Under the watchful eyes of many dragons, she reached out and grasped the hand of Velanoz, who was in his Phantom Form and covered in ice spikes.

she says:

"I want to return to the embrace of my dragon mother, and I also want to return to the hearts of my sisters, so that I can personally mend her heart, which has been riddled with holes because of my immaturity and deception."

These words caused Iceheart Dragon to clench his other hand tightly.

This woman is clearly the kind of "ice queen" who isn't good at socializing. When she meets Alexstrasza, her emotionally rich "best friend," she's completely under his thumb. In the end, she still can't shake off Alexstrasza's hand.

This scene made Aegwynn sigh.

Sigh, you made a bad choice in your friendships. How dare you mess with Alexstrasza, who's popular with both men and women, when you're at that level?

Ha, you're probably going to be completely dominated by your best friend for the rest of your life.
