Chapter 555, Section 16: Even an Eternal Dragon can be an ally of "justice" if fate is extreme enough.
The point in time when the Eternal Dragon was drawn to this timeline by some kind of call happened just as Diakum led the Illidari to cause trouble for the Burning Legion.

The timing was very clever.

The inextricable entanglement between the Infinite Dragons and the Bronze Dragons means that, like their "old nemesis," they can only freely traverse the time network created by the Titans, and they have no way of interfering with the demon star Mardun.

Therefore, theoretically speaking, Diakum is absolutely safe as long as he leaves Azeroth.

The person is no longer within the time network's range; even the Eternal Dragon cannot locate him in the present.

Of course, the Eternal Dragons are intelligent and ambitious villains, and they wouldn't be foolish enough to attack the current Diakum. Even if the entire race attacked together, it would be difficult to withstand the Vigilant's Radiant Strike.

As villains who can travel through and manipulate time, their home turf is always in the past!

After all, even the most powerful creatures have periods of weakness. In this respect, the Eternal Dragon is actually a cowardly bully who preys on the weak.

They always lurk quietly before important figures have fully matured, taking pleasure in disrupting their fates. They might even deliberately lure annoying bronze dragons to fight them, thus covering up their more dangerous activities elsewhere.

The Bronze Dragonflight specially selected the strongest and most elite adult dragons to form the Scales of the Shifting Sands, specifically to deal with various major problems in the Time Network. On average, at least eight out of ten things that the Scales of the Shifting Sands handle are caused by the Eternal Dragons.

But their persistent disruption of the timeline is not just for amusement.

Unlike the demons who are obsessed with destruction and even actively seek out fights, the Eternal Dragon Legion has a clear purpose in all its actions within the time network.

They are definitely carrying out these time-based "terrorist attacks" day after day in order to maintain something that wouldn't exist in the normal timeline.

That's a secret!
A secret that the bronze dragons must not know.

However, the Bronze Dragons also have the ability to travel through time. They and the Infinite Dragons are engaged in an almost eternal war throughout all known time. The secrets that the Infinite Dragons want to hide have already been exposed in the past or future.

Some of the Bronze Dragons know this secret, but they will not reveal it voluntarily, because this secret is also related to the future of the Bronze Dragons.

These two dragon legions are a very magical "two sides of the same coin", like each other's shadows.

This is not some artistic description, but a fact.

Fifteen minutes before Diakum returned to Azeroth, in the now-empty Caverns of Time, the Eternal Dragonflight leaders who had entered this timeline earlier were holding a meeting.

Their numbers were quite staggering. Not only were there many adult Eternal Rippers folding their wings and landing in various places, but there were also immature dragons flying around. Some Eternal Dragons transformed into mortal forms and gathered together, listening to the leaders' plans under the sacred hourglass illusion of the Bronze Dragon.

"There's something wrong with this timeline! Something very wrong!"

A massive Eternal Dragon casually placed its claws on the dragon king sculpture of the giant hourglass illusion, rubbing its claws against the noble stone statue while moving its body rather uncomfortably.

it says:

"It was distorted from the beginning, and its source of interference is far from Azeroth. It is a strange trace formed by a series of disturbances caused by interference outside the time network."

This place is completely out of step with any known trajectory of fate.

Honestly, even though I've personally disrupted many destinies, shaped a distorted world, and witnessed many bizarre changes, those glorious pasts are utterly insignificant compared to the 'distortion' of this timeline before me!

The leader of the Eternal Dragons spoke with utter disgust, its claws digging into the stone statues of Nozdormu, as it fiercely rebuked:

"Even for us 'time villains,' this timeline chaos makes me uncomfortable! Yes, I mean we crave chaos and change, but these changes right now..."
There is no doubt that this is too much.

Have you found those important figures in the trajectory of their destinies?

As it asked the question, the several Eternal Dragon Commanders, each with their own distinctive features, exchanged glances. The first to speak was a fierce female dragon, who said in a low voice:

“I went to find Deathwing. It’s dead, uh, that’s not quite right, Deathwing is dead, but Neltharion is alive, and that guy named Diakum Zastins reshaped it with the magic of the Void.”

Deathwing, no, the Black Dragonflight, now lies deep within the Temple of the World Soul!
I overheard those noisy Loa children boasting that the World Mother would only unleash the 'Black Devourer' to join the battle when the world was on the verge of destruction, and those foolish beasts even said that Neltharion had just helped the Vigilantes win the War of the Gods.

At this point, even the evil Eternal Dragon Commander couldn't help but lower her voice, whispering:

"It is said that the Vigilant and Tyrande Windspeaker collaborated to summon Sargeras and slay the seven Void Gods."

"absurd!"

The leader of the Eternal Dragons cursed:
"The people in this timeline are all such braggarts. Have they even witnessed the power of the Void Gods? Yet they're spouting such nonsense! Summoning Sargeras? Why doesn't that Diakum go up to the sky and make the sun set? Why is he just sitting there?"
If someone could summon Dark Titans at will, this galaxy would have been in chaos long ago.

What Eternus heard was clearly just a self-aggrandizing lie, completely unbelievable.

What about the rest?

What were the results of your tracking?

Its answer left the Eternal Dragon Commanders embarrassed and silent, because the stories of the different "pillars of destiny" they were tracking in this timeline were all equally unorthodox.

If the rumors brought back by Eternus are not adopted by the Lord of Time, Deus, then their return will surely be met with rebuke.

But a higher-ranking official can have a lot of influence, so you can't just stay silent and not report it.

Then, the other Eternal Dragon, with a huge scar on its face, swayed and said:
“I spent some time tracking Arthas Menethil, who was just a child in this timeline, but Diakum Zastins sent him to Draenor, where the forest spirits that were supposed to be destroyed used the mysteries of life to mature him to eighteen.”

Just two months ago, Arthas joined Anduin Lothar's Northern Expedition, which stormed the capital of Lordaeron and ended the reign of 'Dragon King' Terenas Menethil.

I deliberately reversed time to try and witness Arthas killing his father firsthand.

But I didn't succeed.

There's a dangerous force lurking there, so powerful that even time itself can't be manipulated properly. I suspect it must be a lesser god manifesting there.

"Oh?"

Time Lord Deos blinked.

The Dragon King and Lothar's Northern Expedition sound so unfamiliar, but what comforts it is that even with the timeline so utterly broken, the classic plot of Arthas killing his father still stubbornly unfolds.

Ah, it's so precious to be able to find a sense of familiarity in such a chaotic world.

So, Dios softened his tone and asked:

"So, despite fate's stubborn retaliation, Arthas still became the wielder of Frostmourne, didn't he?"

"Uh"

The Eternal Dragon that reported the news shook its head awkwardly and said:
"No, Arthas has become a Holy Light Warrior of the Human Empire and is now studying at the Mystic Academy on the Sunwell floating island with his sister."

I secretly went to check on him, and he was studying hard in the library late into the night. Apparently, he was going to have his first monthly exam in a few days.

In addition, Gianna Proudmoore was there too.

She was a top student at the Arcane Academy of the Mystic Palace. When I arrived, I witnessed Jaina skillfully using Time Reversal to cheat and complete her enormous amount of homework. I also saw…”

"enough!"

The Time Lord Deos could no longer tolerate this "nonsense".

Its roar silenced all the eternal dragons in the Caverns of Time, and an unusual atmosphere arose and swirled in this sacred place of time.

Some of the more intelligent Eternal Dragons have already realized the reason for the leader's anger.

Out of control!
Everything in this unfamiliar timeline seems to be out of control.

The Eternal Dragons have always been able to navigate any change in fate with ease because they know and control the ultimate direction of all destinies.

If the beginning and end of a line are controlled, then no matter how the line bends in the middle, the Eternal Dragons have a way to untangle it and shape the flow of fate by disrupting time, making the world move according to their will.

The Bronze Dragons would try to stop them, but bound by the rules of the Titans, they were unable to use extreme measures, which meant that the Bronze Dragons always suffered losses when facing the Infinite Dragons.

But things are different now.

This timeline, both in its beginning and its development, has exceeded the limits of what the Eternal Dragons can control through time. They are even unable to move forward into the future along the river of time here.

Because the future here is uncertain!

Uncertainty.
Eternal Dragons used to really like this word. They would even use it to boast about their behavior in a pretentious way. Similar words include "paradox," "possibility," "circle of time," and a series of other impressive-sounding terms.

But now, when faced with true "uncertainty," the Eternal Dragons suddenly realize that they don't actually like this kind of truly chaotic disorder.

Most importantly, if everything in this timeline is beyond the realm of "fate," then what about the future of the Infinite Dragons? Will the Infinite Dragons be born sometime in the future or past here?
"The future here is uncertain, Deus!"

The first female dragon to speak, Eternus, shouted:

"We cannot be certain whether this timeline leads to the 'End of Fate.' If we cannot establish a connection with that 'Origin,' then the Eternal Dragon Legion cannot achieve its true 'birth' here."

This place is unknown to us, which is why the bronze dragons abandoned it.

We should evacuate too!
We can't linger here for even a minute longer. Once we get lost in this chaotic timeline, I fear we won't even be able to save ourselves.

Deus, there is no time network here.

The river of time here flows independently; you should understand how dangerous that is.

The Time-Space Lord remained silent, his eyes dark.

After a moment, it shook its head and said:
"But the two remaining guardian dragons are using the hourglass of time to summon Nozdormu and the bronze dragons here. Didn't we come here to ambush them because we felt that tremor?"
Because the river of time here is independent, and because no extra parallel timelines will emerge here, once Nozdormu completely 'falls' here, it can never return to its so-called 'correct destiny'.

It is indeed very dangerous here, my fellow countrymen.

But there is also a wonderful opportunity here, an opportunity for our 'Eternal Dragon Lord' to be born. I am tired of Nozdormu's self-imposed exile.

I'm tired of watching it dart back and forth between 'orderly' and 'chaotic' modes.

Nozdormu is a pathetic coward!
It knows what happened in the past, and it knows what will happen in the future, but it just can't make up its mind.

We need to 'help' it.

right here!

Within this independent flow of time, from which there is no escape once one is trapped, let Nozdormu be completely transformed into 'Mnozdor,' helping our beloved leader to forever escape the torment of that 'phantom of death.'

At this point, the Time Lord's tone suddenly hardened, as if it had found some kind of unwavering strength in its heart, and it roared at all the Eternal Dragons present:

"Nozdormu and his bronze dragons are about to enter this timeline, and we must make them willingly walk into our trap, using the methods we are best at."

Now that the outrageous and despicable freak 'Diackham Zastins' has become the pillar of this timeline, we only need to attack Diakham's traces in the 'past'!

是 的
A single attack would be enough to draw Nozdormu and his meddlesome bronze dragons away.

The most ingenious thing is that this timeline can only go back to the past, but cannot move forward to the future.

All we need to do is wait for Diakum to be at his weakest in this world, and Nozdormu will surely appear in person to try to protect Diakum and stabilize this timeline.

That's our chance.

As expected of the "Lord of Time and Space," he quickly came up with a plan that seemed highly feasible. However, this plan had a very obvious problem.
"That Diakum is not easy to deal with, the powerful Deos."

The other Eternal Dragon said in a hoarse voice:
"We sent the powerful Ionus to lure him to join us when he first entered Azeroth, but Ionus was controlled by him and died under mysterious circumstances."

We didn't even have time to save it!
That guy was already a legend when he entered Azeroth, and he possessed a dangerous artifact. The world-soul of Argus protected him. If you want to capture him then as a trap for Nozdormu, you must go there yourself. It would be best to have Eternus accompany you.

That guy is really weird.

His current combat power is approaching that of a lesser god, a spacetime lord. This is our last chance. Once he becomes a lesser god, he will gain the troublesome 'spacetime uniqueness'.

By then, all attempts at 'time-space assassination' against him will have failed.

"hiss"

The Time-Space Lord gasped.

Lesser God?
What an exaggerated hierarchy of life!

How could this timeline allow such a monster to roam freely in the material world?

Thinking of this, Dios glanced again at the rather dissatisfied Eternal Mother Dragon Eternus, and it was now beginning to believe the outrageous news that Eternus had brought back earlier.

Maybe Diakum Zastins really did team up with the Dark Titan to kill seven Void Gods. But so what?
As long as he hasn't reached the level of a lesser god, the Eternal Dragon will always find a way to control him!
Surely this outrageous guy wouldn't be on guard against assassination attempts while sleeping or being intimate with his lover?
"Then let's take action! Don't go into the timeline after Diakum breaks through to demigod status. Find an opportunity to assassinate him while he is still weak and lure the bronze dragons away."

Ithenus and I were in charge of the ambush on Nozdormu.

The Time-Space Lord swung its tail and shouted:
"After it's done, take care of that Diakum!"
This chaotic timeline is disgusting; the world has been so distorted that it is a desecration of the very meaning of timelines.

My brothers and sisters, we, the Eternal Dragons, disrupt fate for a great purpose. No matter how much the Bronze Dragons slander us, they cannot change the fact that the existence of the Eternal Dragons is itself part of fate.

But that Diakum Zastins arbitrarily interfered with the course of fate according to his own preferences; he was clearly a more wicked and despicable 'time-space destroyer' than us.

He has no morality and no respect for time, so time will punish him!
kill him.

Let this monstrous, pathetic timeline collapse; perhaps it should never have existed in the first place.

The other Eternal Dragons responded in kind.

They are all fallen bronze dragons. Although they are no longer bound by the Titan's hourglass and can do evil deeds at will in various timelines, they still have the most basic respect for time because they control the power of time.

Upon seeing this bizarre world, which had never even appeared in the most insane nightmares of the Eternal Dragons, not only Deos but also the other Eternal Dragons felt disgust.

They like to change the world beyond recognition, but they don't like to stay in a world that has been changed beyond recognition by others.

Well, these Eternal Dragons are actually quite hypocritical.

But the Time Lord Deos and its assistant, the Eternal Dragon Eternus, did not move. After all the other Eternal Dragons had left, the powerful mother dragon whispered:

“You’re scared, Dios. I can sense it. Staying in this unfamiliar world that isn’t so forgiving of us makes you uneasy. Can you tell me where your fear comes from?”

"Shut up."

The Time-Space Lord sternly rebuked him.

It dislikes its subordinates challenging its authority, but its inner fears make it desperately need an outlet.

After a moment of silence, the Time Lord whispered:

"You and I are both veterans who were among the first to follow the Eternal Dragon King Murozond. We both know that our Majesty claimed that after the Titans showed it the vision of death, it chose to abandon its duties because it was unwilling to accept that future."

However, neither you nor I believe this claim!

Our Majesty is not such a weak being; he has never feared death. I believe he must have seen something far more terrifying in the visions of the Titans that drove him to madness.

They even created an apocalyptic timeline like 'The End of Time,' yet called it a 'blessing.'

Deus hesitated for a moment.

It stared at the stone statue of Nozdormu, which it used to sharpen its claws, and with its claws tightly gripping the statue's noble head, it crushed it to pieces, then transformed into a short-haired, grey-white Quel'dorei amidst the flying rubble.

It whispered to its companion:

“What I fear is not Diakum in this timeline, but the Titan visions that the Eternal Dragon Lord once saw. I have a feeling that this world, which is different from all the timelines we know, is heading toward that ‘worst future’.”

The future that might emerge from here is perhaps the future that drove Nozdormu mad and led to the birth of Murozond.

If even the Bronze Dragon King fears that future, I think we really should proceed with caution.

“But you can’t deny it, Dios.”

The powerful mother dragon Eternus said in a hoarse voice:

"Titans do not represent correctness, much less truth. This is the fundamental understanding of our Eternal Dragon Legion. If what you say is true, this timeline leads to a future that even the Titans are resisting."

Perhaps we shouldn't have destroyed it?

The Time-Space Lord remained silent.

A few seconds later, it waved its hand weakly and said:

"Let our Emperor make the final decision when Munozdor is born."
