Chapter 341 31 The Boiling Roar of Bloodhowl What I summoned, I will eliminate myself.
Chapter 341. 31. Blood Howl's Boiling Roar - What I summoned, I will eliminate myself.
The vandals are here!
After the demonic pursuers surrounding Thoras Trollbane were defeated, the earth-shattering roar of Manonos echoed from Stromgarde.
The deaths of most commander-level demons in a short period of time caught its attention. More importantly, the orcs, as "familiars," could sense Manonos's location, and the Destroyer, as a "familiar master," could sense his "children of demon blood" in the same way.
As Kil'jaeden the Conqueror's top general, Manonos and Cenarius the Defiler didn't have much of a relationship. The reason he agreed to lend his blood to Cenarius was simply because Cenarius promised to create a powerful "warblood" for him.
The Abyss Lords of Annihran are the most ferocious and destructive demons; they are the "strongest scoundrels" born from the desolate and treacherous landscape of the Twisted Nether.
When the Burning Legion was first established, these behemoths were so eager to join Sargeras's ranks that Kil'jaeden had to personally recruit them into the "system," but their warlike nature never changed.
While most demons were terrified of Diakum, the Abyss Lord was the only high-ranking demon who dared to challenge him.
Therefore, Manonos actually had "expectations" for the Blood Orcs. The Destroyer hoped to see the Orcs, who had drunk his Blood, rampage through Draenor and then, as the vanguard of the Legion, storm Azeroth, slaughtering them until the world turned upside down and rivers of blood flowed. Only in this way could he not waste the precious Blood he had given them.
However, the orcs disappointed it.
After suffering defeat in Draenor, they fled to Azeroth, but after all this time, they still haven't managed to conquer Stormwind.
And this is enough for them to claim they drank the Destroyer's demonic blood?
Go! Go! Go!
I, Maronos, who once shook the stars, cannot bear such a disgrace!
Therefore, faced with the orcs' provocation, the Destroyer immediately chose to fight back.
It strode forward on its heavy hooves through the ruins of Stromgarde, now a land of fel energy, the fel lava it had sculpted flowing around it, filling the pit lord with joy at the place.
Although they are tough and resilient, they also have their own "habitable areas".
The demons throughout the city hid obediently in the shadows, not daring to provoke the Destroyer's wrath. As the pure-blooded subordinates of the Conqueror, these elite demons who had traversed the starry seas were well aware of the Destroyer's formidable strength. Although he was not the Great Demon Lord, in terms of combat power, Maronos was far superior to all the other Great Demons!
Mannoroth was simply too violent and not very good at commanding large armies to conquer cities and territories. He was content to be a tactician who broke through on the front lines rather than a strategist who controlled the war. Therefore, he was ranked one level below the three monarchs in the Burning Legion's system.
But if you actually let Maronos stay in the rear, the Destroyers will never be satisfied.
It is the destructive fist that distorts the void and crashes into the sea of matter. Its mission is to continuously create disasters among the stars. Compared to power, Mannoroth's preferences are really simple.
It desires to see the fragile things shatter under its blade, it relishes to hear the lamentations of a broken world ignited by its own hand, it is a born trampling hoof that wants to make all living beings suffer.
The Destroyer is very satisfied with its current position within the Legion.
It never complains about the orders Kil'jaeden gives it, but is happy to be the Legion's blade of destruction, slaughtering all living beings in world after world. And like other great demons, the Destroyer also has "feelings" for Azeroth.
Ten thousand years ago, it experienced failure in this world.
Its terrifying battle with the brute god Agamaggan and "Bear Two (Usol and Usok)" leveled a large part of the Elven Empire's territory. It was the most exhilarating battle Mannoroth fought after joining the Burning Legion, where he single-handedly crippled three powerful Wilderness demigods.
If it hadn't been later transferred to guard the Well of Eternity, and unfortunately encountered "the Madwoman" and was instantly sent back to the Twisted Void by the Moonlit War God in a few strikes, it could definitely have fought the entire Ancient War.
Really!
Destroyers love Azeroth!
In this weak and vulnerable constellation, there are very few worlds that can give it a good fight.
"I crave a real challenge! Like the Odachi, like the Elven Empire, like the Wilderness Demigods! I crave worthy opponents!"
The destructive war howls echoed through the mountains and lands of Arathi Highlands.
It galloped out of the broken and weak city, leaving huge scorch marks on the oldest frontiers of the human empire with its fel-fire-covered hooves. It infused its fel power into the land it traversed, creating a "fel trail" that stretched from Stromgarde towards the northeastern valley.
The filthy fel lava churned within the scorched earth, constantly spewing forth imps and hellhounds from the Twisting Nether. This terrifying "fel summoning" was the privilege of the great demons; only those who maintained constant contact with the Twisting Nether could become such "moving sources of contamination."
The Destroyer could sense that some of the "Children of Demon Blood" ahead had a unique aura, which even made it feel a trace of "sharpness".
This piqued the interest of the warlike demon.
If those weaklings can give me some enjoyment, then destroying them wouldn't be so bad, it would be a pleasure.
It made no attempt to conceal its swift march towards the battlefield, which was clearly observed by the cunning mages who were well-prepared. In the ancient megalithic formation not far from the valley, Vereesa Windrunner, maintaining her Eagle Eye spell, shouted to Rhonin, who was wielding a rock wand:
"Now! It's coming! Quick, release the Earth Princess!"
"Power of Deepholm, in the name of Therazane!"
Ronin shouted obscure elemental incantations and slammed the rock wand in his hand into the prismatic stone pillar in front of him.
The moment the wand shattered, the ground around it began to tremble. Amidst low moans and the curses of elemental creatures, and as the ground cracked and rippled, a giantess several meters tall broke free from Stonehenge.
She possessed a powerful body sculpted from rock, wielding a heavy stone hammer, and the rage sealed for millennia raged within the eyes of this rock giant.
She seemed somewhat delirious, perhaps she had been driven mad by confinement, and as she escaped her cage, she looked up to the sky and shouted:
"You cannot imprison me, you cannot imprison me."
"Great Princess of the Earth, demons are attacking our homeland, please help us!"
Before the other party could finish their entrance speech, Ronin's plea echoed through the surrounding mountains with a massive amplification spell.
Generally speaking, there's no need to shout so loudly if you're just asking for help, but this isn't for some other purpose.
Whether the Earth Princess understood Rhonin's meaning or not was unimportant. What mattered was that Maronos, who was rushing towards them, heard it. The Destroyer had sensed the ground tremor earlier and recognized it as the echo of elemental power.
Turning my head, I saw a huge stone man.
After being smashed by two punches, she must have been able to cry for a long time, right?
When the Destroyer saw Princess Misley, the imprisoned Elemental Giant also saw the Destroyer, and the Princess Misley, who had been so imposing just moments before, suddenly panicked.
What is this?!
A great demon?
You want me to go and fight it?
I can’t beat him, so I just slip away.
Misley let out a scream and turned to burrow back into the earth. Elemental beings of her level possessed intelligence and knew perfectly well who to mess with and who to avoid. She had been sealed here for so long because of her provocation of great power; even elemental beings knew to learn from their mistakes.
Unfortunately, the vandals don't care about this or that.
Since they were summoned by humans, they must have come to help!
"buzz"
The ferocious Zul'Tnash Spear of Destruction, enveloped in scorching fel magma, pierced the air and crashed down like lightning. Misriel's elemental teleportation was forcibly interrupted before it was completed, and the spear shattered the entire Stonehenge seal, completely sealing off her escape route.
Under the desperate gaze of the Earth Princess, the hideous demon had no intention of listening to her explanation.
The abyss lord, like a berserker, swung her fists and smashed them down. The first collision shattered the giant rock hammer in her hand, and the second claw tore through the rocky body of the elemental princess, leaving a terrible corrosive mark.
If Misley doesn't fight back, being corrupted by fel energy will be her only fate.
Therefore, even knowing that she had been tricked by mortals, the princess of the land of deep rocks still had to fight for her purity.
If her body is shattered, she can simply return to Deepholm to rebuild it, but if she is corrupted by fel energy, she will be completely finished.
"How dare you provoke Serazane's daughter!"
In her desperation, the Earth Princess swung a heavy punch at the Abyss Lord's head. The two behemoths fought back and forth, but the Earth Princess was visibly struggling to hold on.
The difference in their power levels is too great.
"The past! The past!"
Orgrim Doomhammer brandished his weapon, sending his chosen demon-slaying warriors charging into battle.
He hadn't drunk the demon blood, so he couldn't feel Mannoroth's suppression of the greenskins, but he could tell from the painful expressions of the orcs around him that, because of the demon blood's binding, not every orc had the courage to point their weapon at Mannoroth.
But Grom didn't care at all.
At this moment, the whole world no longer mattered to him, as if all that remained in his eyes was that great demon wreaking havoc.
The demonic blood flowing in his veins was boiling, and that damned thing howled, demanding that Grom kneel before his "master." But this forced humiliation only fueled Grom's rage, causing it to erupt in a fiery outburst.
His fingers were clicking as he gripped Bloodhowl, and so were the orcs who charged out of the battle lines with him toward the Destroyer.
"That monstrous thing's blood is whispering to me, demanding that I kneel down and prostrate myself, calling it 'master'!"
Kargath Bladefist sped behind Grom, and Chieftain Shattered Hand whispered:
"So, are we going to kneel down, everyone?"
"We must kill it!"
Orgrim's rage erupted, causing lightning to crackle around his Doomhammer. His eyes were bloodshot as he gritted his teeth and said:
"Kill it, and we'll be one step closer to freedom!"
"It's just the first one."
Grom Hellscream roared, "Let us reclaim our glory!"
"Fire arrows!"
The orc overlord on the high ground trembled as he fought his fear, waving his battle banner downwards so that the Kor'kron archers could fire demon-slaying arrows around Manonos, clearing a path for their chieftains' charge.
Their power must be used on the demon, while the orc infantry on the ground are charging forward recklessly.
They were terrified.
It was indeed shameful; to harbor fear was a disgrace to every warrior, but the orcs did not stop because of the fear that fueled their demonic blood.
They could not be as fearless as the chieftains, but they were all carefully chosen by Orgrim as “salvable” people. They knew why they were here today. They did not know the heroes who would save their people, but they were willing to follow in the footsteps of the heroes and build the foundation for their progress.
"The orcs are launching a full-scale attack; it's too chaotic!"
The royal guard beside His Majesty Solas shouted angrily:
"Are they trying to just push all the way to the Great Demon? Demons are constantly charging out from around him, they can't possibly get through! This is practically suicide."
"Yes, that's suicide."
King Solas took his family heirloom sword from his back, reached down and pulled down the veil of his royal helmet, then pulled on the reins and led his Arathi Highlands steed forward at a slow pace.
Amidst the astonished gazes of the surrounding warriors, the King of Stromgarde spoke in a deep voice:
"If the Greenskins can't kill the Great Demon, we'll be next after they're gone. This isn't for them! This is for the Arathi! This is for our Stromgarde!"
The capital of the Arathor Empire is gone, and so is the Kingdom of Stromgarde. I should have died with my city rather than lived on and made a fool of myself. So let the children of Ignatius carry out the will of our ancestors.
Arathi!
Follow me forward and slay the demons!
The king, who had lost his temper, was the first to rush out.
The servants couldn't hold him back at all, but the knights who were equally enraged didn't care. They had been bearing the shame of being hunted by demons since that night. As the king said, the proud Stromgarde people had lost all face.
The orcs came to wash away their shame, but what about the shame they themselves bear?
Who can help them wash up?
"Humans have caught up; I thought they lacked the courage."
Nazgrell, the chieftain of the Blackscar clan, grinned and said to Varok Saurfang beside him:
"The humans here are just as fierce as those in Stormwind."
"Therefore, even the devil cannot defeat them!"
Valrock replied.
He looked up and saw Rhonin and Khadgar unleashing blizzards and firestorms one after the other, engulfing and killing the demons summoned by the Destroyer from the Twisting Nether.
After the two mages cleared the way for the ground troops, they cast spells again. Khadgar raised the Guardian's Staff and chanted incantations, unleashing lightning and howling clouds as he bombarded the Destroyer's massive body with a barrage of arcane energy.
Manonos responded with a raging storm of evil flames, using his enormous wings as a shield to deflect the barrage of magic. He tore the poor Earth Princess's body apart with a single claw, grabbed her head, and turned away, completely ignoring the spell Rhonin cast behind him to freeze her body.
Beneath its massive head, ablaze with malevolent fire, were ferocious eyes fixed on the charging orc.
To be precise, they were keeping a close eye on those chiefs.
"You guys are interesting."
The Destroyer roared:
"Give me a sigh!"
"puff"
The orcs who were running around all fell down in a large group.
The decree from the Lord of Blood caused their bodies to fall uncontrollably in that instant. The laughing Mannos hurled the Earth Princess's head like a meteorite, but it was shattered in mid-air by Nazgrell's leaping axe.
Amidst the swirling rubble, Orgrim swung his Doomhammer with tremendous force, the thunderous roar crashing down upon the great demon. But his powerful magical wings twisted and blocked the blow, allowing him to withstand the attack without sustaining a scratch.
The Destroyer has already picked up its spear of destruction. Its fighting spirit has been completely aroused by these interesting "little bugs." Like an old drunkard's cravings, it can't have a good fight today!
It sensed that it would certainly be able to enjoy itself to the fullest in this weak country today.
Come on! Come on!
The Spear of Destruction slammed down on the chieftains, its blades engulfed in fiery flames as it struck the earth, tearing apart the entire valley's perimeter. Dozens of humans and orcs who couldn't dodge in time were instantly engulfed by the erupting lava.
But the most agile Kargath leaped up and swiftly climbed upwards along the spear that Mannoroth had hurled down.
"insect!"
The Destroyer swung its claws at the Shattered Hand Chieftain as if swatting a fly, but as the giant claws struck, Kargath grinned maliciously. He, a gladiator, had far too much experience in how to fight a behemoth.
"what!"
As Kargath was sent flying, Manonos let out a deafening roar.
It felt as if something had pierced its palm, like a human hand touching a wasp's tail. The excruciating pain made its palm numb, and it swayed its body backward to defend itself.
But the orcs had already charged in.
Varok Saurfang was the first to attack, leaping three times to land beneath the great demon's body. He used his skull battle axe to cleave down with brute force, tearing through the hideous scales and letting the blade cut into the blood and bone. However, he was kicked away by the Destroyer, and after landing, he wiped the blood off his face and charged again.
Following closely behind, Azuka Bladefury used the Sword Saint's Slash to continue the slaughter along the wounds inflicted by Valok, severing the tendons of the Destroyer's forehoof in a few swift moves.
Manonos's body tilted outwards, but the great demon's fighting skills remained.
Knowing danger was imminent, it raised its destructive spear and summoned a storm of evil fire to strike its surroundings. But the moment it raised its head, a fiery red figure tore through the evil flames it was unleashing, and with a deafening roar from the battle axe in its hand, it charged toward its head like a fiery demon.
Danger!
The mind of a destroyer is pierced by needles.
It realized that it had truly underestimated its own "Child of Demon Blood".
The Polluter did not deceive it; those damned antler-men truly used its blood to forge the most elite warriors in the Star Sea.
but.
Not even close!
"puff"
Bloodhowl entered his body, and Sulfuras's fire erupted.
Amidst the echoes of the Balrog King's roar, most of the Destroyer's body was engulfed and ignited by devastating primordial fire.
Grom landed on the ground, with a huge object crashing down behind him.
But his brow was furrowed.
The cut missed.
No, he was definitely aiming for the head, but the demonic blood within him had been manipulated by Manolos, interfering with his fatal strike.
Grom turned around and saw the Destroyer Manonos, who had lost most of his wings, grinning down at him, as if to say, "That was a great attack, but now it's my turn."
The Abyss Lord's mouth was filled with the flames of Sargeras from the Dark Titan.
This is the most powerful fel blessing that demons can obtain in the Twisting Nether. To show the Destroyer's approval of Grom Hellscream, it decided to use the power bestowed by the Dark Titan to destroy this disobedient slave.
But that axe blow just now will definitely leave a lasting impression on me.
Ha, no wonder you're such a rabid dog of mine, the Destroyer.
strong enough!
"above."
Grom showed no fear in the face of Sargeras's Flames, which were poised to erupt; he simply raised a finger and pointed to the sky.
The destroyer immediately looked up and unleashed the destructive fire that was meant for Grom into the sky.
But it's too late.
The black soldier, falling from the sky, gripped the withered and rotten oak axe with both hands, having already gathered his strength.
What does a dead man have to fear from the fires of the universe?
He then bypassed the deadly flames and delivered a ruthless slash to finish off Grom for the missed attack.
Demon, you have insulted Draenor, so feel the wrath of Draenor!
