Light's Dawn of Azeroth

Chapter 280, Part 37: The first thing the Zhang family did was compete with Nali for a man

Chapter 280, Section 37: The first thing bad girls do when they get home is to fight with Nellie for a man - Bonus Chapter [215]

(Bonus chapter for "Huo Zheng Ting Hao" [2/15])
Gemini was persuaded.

Diakum's logic was flawless and well-founded. Although his claim that the current leader of the Holy Light Legion was a collapsing madman was outrageous, the problem was that the twins, who had followed Zera for years, couldn't find any way to refute it.

Upon closer examination, the very fact that the Holy Mother, as the most outstanding prophet in the cosmos, would voluntarily revise a prophecy she had upheld for many years is already fraught with suspicion.

If she realized that Illidan the Starhunter was not the legendary Child of Light and Darkness, then she should have abandoned the prophecy instead of forcibly attributing it to Diakum like a superfluous addition.

Although Dick fits the description of "Children of Light and Darkness" very well in every way, the moral principle of "rebelling against fate" alone is enough to shatter all of Zera's explanations.

Diakum could not possibly be the prophesied "Child of Light and Darkness".

The moment the paradox formed, it was immediately clear how bad Zera's mental state was.

"Embrace the Holy Light, accept the Shadows, walk into the darkness to find your own reason, and hold onto that light so that you will not lose your way. Poor children, you no longer need to wander aimlessly. I have already opened a path in the wilderness with a torch in hand, and there will be firelight in the darkness to illuminate your way forward."

Diakum chanted, opening his hands and placing them on the foreheads of Saloras and Orestes respectively. As their Archbishop of Holy Light shone, he used his "Holy Covenant of Light and Shadow" floating in front of him as a medium to share his path of twin light and shadow with the twins.

The two of them were taught by Zera and went very deep into the path of the Pure Light Oath, which meant that their level of doctrine was unparalleled even in the entire galaxy.

One may doubt Zera's mental state, but one cannot doubt the Mother of Light's expertise in the doctrinal realm.

This is also why Diakum did not choose to debate with the Gemini.

He might not be able to out-argue these two sharp-tongued old ladies, but fortunately, the strategy of attacking the debater instead of overwhelming them in a debate is also a truth in the Azeroth universe.

When Zera's towering image crumbles, her grand plans and stubborn will become irrelevant.

Viren said that the Geminis are rational, and they are not truly fanatical or blindly obedient. As long as Diakum gives them the truth, they can convince themselves.

Therefore, the preaching and evangelization of the Twin Paths of Light and Shadow went very smoothly. Under Diakum's gaze, the intense holy light on the twins quickly softened.

This means that his path is replacing Zera's teachings to them.

"This is poaching."

Diakum sighed inwardly:
"It's just that the world of Azeroth is relatively far from the Holy Light Realm. If it were closer, I'm afraid those extreme Naaru would be coming to my door tonight with their warriors, swords in hand, to lecture me on the dangers. When I first communicated with them with the help of the Lord of Azeroth, those guys were quite unfriendly to me."

Come to think of it, in the eyes of the Pure Light Oathtakers, someone like me who 'co-opts' the Void might be more detestable than the Void and fel energy combined.

Heretics are always more hateful than heretics. Alas, I truly feel the future of the Lightforged faction is bleak.

Just as Dick was worrying and anxious about the future of his faith faction, the character card in front of him flickered with light, revealing a hint:

"With ≥5 Lightforged Chosen, the Holy Light Force Mythical Class [Lightsworn Lord] has been completed! This Mythical Class possesses the 'War Commander' authority within the Holy Light Force domain."

Based on your individual combat specialization, your chapter's characteristics are as follows:
Your chapter members' melee skills are replaced with "Vigilant Tactics," and they will inherit your special combat skills. "Avenging Wrath" is replaced with "Seraphic Avatar," and "Divine Storm" is replaced with "Solar Storm."

Your chapter members can obtain the special form, Guardian of Kings: Seraphim.

During war, you can command your battle group to unleash a variety of war powers.

The more members your Lightforged Chapter has, the more Light War powers you can use simultaneously; the stronger your Lightforged Chapter is, the more powerful the Light War powers you can use.

The current members of the battle group are as follows:

Demigods: Archbishop Saloras of "Holy Twilight" and Archbishop Orestes of "Glorious Dawn".

Legendary figures: Yrel the Hand of Kourle, and Marad the Lightforged Warrior.

Special: Onyxia, the Lightforged Dragon.

Current assessment of the battle group's strength: weak.

Currently unlocked Warband War Powers:

War Power - Fortification:

The Grand Lord and his appointed commanders have the authority to designate an area as a temporary or permanent Chapter Sanctuary.

All friendly units entering this area will receive passive Holy Light enhancement and Holy Light healing. Warriors fighting in this sanctuary will not die, and if near death, they will be protected by Divine Shield until they are healed.

Power of War - Judgment:

The Grand Prince and his appointed commanders have the authority to designate an area as a bombing zone.

The area will be continuously bombarded by holy flames from the Holy Light Force until the commander stops the bombardment or all enemies in the area are killed.

While the Judgment of the Holy Light Force will not harm friendly units, please do not request friendly forces to forcibly enter the bombing zone if conditions permit.

War Power - Purification:
The Holy Oath Lord and his appointed commanders have the authority to designate an area as a purification zone.

The area will be enveloped in pure holy light, and a Great Dispel spell will be continuously cast to ensure that no other Force or sub-Force exists in the area besides the Force of Holy Light.

The purified area can exist indefinitely without consuming excess war power.

War Power - Resurrection:

The Holy Lord and his appointed commanders have the authority to command the Holy Light Force to bring the souls of the dead back from the world of the dead.

However, please note that this power can only be used on warriors who died in battle within a short period of time (<6 hours) and belong to this warband. The stronger the dead to be resurrected, the stronger the counterattack from the Shadow Realm may be, and there is a small chance that it will trigger a counterattack from the Death Realm. The war commander of the Death World may resolutely resist such provocation.

War Power - Rally:

The Grand Prince and his appointed commanders have the authority to demand that chapter members immediately move to their vicinity. This movement will be carried out via teleportation of light and cannot be prevented or interrupted.

The Grand Prince himself has the authority to move freely to the side of any chapter member in order to supervise their combat operations and issue orders.

War Powers & Endeavors:

The Highlord and his appointed commanders have the authority to command chapter members to enter "Divine Wrath," which greatly increases destructive power for a short period. After the command ends, chapter members will enter a weakened state.

"Does this mean I've now transformed from a 'role-playing' player into a 'war strategy' player?"

Diakum looked at this strange mythical profession.

In that instant, he felt as if he didn't need his eyes anymore. He could just gouge out his eyeballs and transform into a professional player on the spot, perhaps even better utilizing his formidable professional skills.

He glanced at the twins who were still undergoing the transformation of their path, and for a moment he felt an itch to use his powers, so he activated "War Power - Rally".

"Swish"

Upon receiving the order from the Highlord, the Lightforged warriors responded immediately, and three streaks of light appeared beside Diakum in an instant.

Marlaad is alright; her great-uncle is strict with her, and she's currently training with weights, so she's doing alright.

But Irelia seemed to be eating, holding a spoon in her hand, her cheeks puffed out as she chewed, when she appeared in the Chamber of Hearts with a bewildered expression.

The most undignified one is Onyxia.

The Lightforged Dragon seemed to be taking a bath; when it teleported over, all the clothes it was wearing were smaller than the handkerchief in Yrel's hand.
"oops!"

It wasn't Onyxia who screamed, but Yrel.

The kind-hearted little hoof quickly took off her battle cloak and draped it over Onyxia, who was also looking bewildered. The black dragon princess herself didn't think there was anything strange about her current state.

Her body was created by Saint Diakum himself, so she sees herself as a "figure" and doesn't have much shame.

"Cough cough."

After a brief commotion, the vigilant explained with a serious expression:
"Blessed by the Holy Light, I have been permitted to establish my own Lightforged Chapter. The teleportation just now was a manifestation of the Lightforged Chapter's power, and you are the first members of the Chapter. Therefore, you will all be appointed as commanders."

Our chapter is a direct force of the Primordial Light, therefore we currently only recruit Lightforgers.

Marlaad, in a moment you will contact your five predecessors and invite them and their warriors to join our Lightforged Chapter.

"After joining the warband, the Holy Light will alter how you use your powers. Practice regularly during this time to avoid losing control." "Oh no, what happened to my Guardians of Kings?"

At Dick's prompting, Yrel summoned her Kingsguard.

This Radiant Spirit was a gift she received from the immortal souls of the fallen during the Battle of Shattrath. Previously, it was just a Draenei warrior form shaped by the Holy Light, but when summoned now, it turned into a Seraph appearance, just like the Vigilant's fifty-gold buddy.

You know what, this "legendary skin" is pretty cool.

"You can use your Holy Light to fine-tune its appearance, making it into the form you desire, but you must not profane the Guardians of the Kings."

The vigilant reminded:

"This is the blessing of the Holy Light, and it must be used for the right purpose."

Furthermore, as commanders of the Lightforged Chapter, you will also receive war powers granted by the Holy Light, but these are contingent upon the quantity and quality of your warriors. Do not use these war powers indiscriminately; they are powers to be used only in dangerous situations.

Diakum wasn't just making things up.

That "War Power - Rally" attack just now wiped out a third of the powers he had. In other words, the powers he has unlocked can only be used a maximum of three times in a single war, just like the Master Spell of a certain Chaldea.

This is still the case because he is the leader, so there are more of these factors.

A lone commander like Irelia can't use her troops even once until she recruits her own.

But these war orders were indeed very effective, especially the "resurrection" which made Diakum's eyes pop out. Just look at Aegwynn to see how rare "resurrection" is in the real world.

In the official history, she was trying to resurrect her son, but it still took a spellcaster of her caliber more than ten years to accomplish this.

Although this resurrection ability can only be used on members of one's own chapter, and there is a chance that one will have to fight a Deathguard from the Shadowlands to resurrect a companion, at least with this thing one does not have to worry about large-scale casualties in the chapter.

"Warrior, the Silithus affair is over. Where do we go next?"

Marlaad, as a competent adjutant, asked before leaving the Chamber of Hearts:
"Shall we return to the Eastern Kingdom?"

"Let's go back to Stormwind first, and pick up Noboton who's stranded in Kul Tiras along the way. I'd like to observe the spread of the demonic plague in the human kingdoms."

Dick stroked his chin and said:

"We will set off immediately after the twins complete their transformation."

"Oh, speaking of this."

As Yrel wiped her mouth, she took a very luxurious but distinctly goblin-style invitation from her pocket and handed it to Diakum with both hands, saying:

"This was just delivered by your private treasurer, Nogfogger. He said that the head of the Hot Sands consortium has invited you to Gadgetzan. The Hot Sands prince is very interested in the 'business' you proposed last time."

Noggenfogger was busy concocting his strange potion, so he asked me to deliver it to you.

"Then let's go to Gadgetzan on the way."

Dick accepted the invitation but didn't open it. The black dragon princess beside him, draped in Yrel's cloak, blinked. The lightforged dragon rolled its eyes and whispered:
"It's a great idea for you to seek the support of the goblin consortium for Lothar's restoration, but I think you're too busy to take up your energy for saving the world. So why not leave it to me? Appoint me as the 'representative of the Lightforged Chapter' by Anduin Lothar's side."

We black dragons love to play mind games with humans, and I'm certainly quite free right now.

"Just don't do anything reckless!"

Dick waved his hand and said:
"Go find Noggenfogger. After all, you black dragons have always had a tradition of commanding goblin servants. I've heard that your father had loyal goblins under his command?"

"That is!"

The Black Dragon Princess snorted and said:
“Those goblins are all bloodline descendants who have served our Prestor family for thousands of years. My father already had goblin servants during the War of the Ancients. Of course, at that time the goblins were still barbaric Pygmies. However, as the guardian of the earth, my father discovered long ago that the Kaya ore catalyzed the special intelligence of those demi-human races.”

Furthermore, the goblins who serve our household possess the rare technology to smelt source mineral ore. You happen to lack suitable battle armor; would you like me to make some connections and procure some source mineral ore for you?"

"Such benefits cannot be enjoyed by me alone."

Diakum stroked his chin, and after a moment said to the Black Dragon Princess:

“Since we’re going to build them, let’s make a batch of armor for my Lightforged Legion. I’ll give you the armor specifications and blueprints in a bit. We’ll use source material to make them.”

"Okay, no problem, then pay up."

Onyxia reached out her hand and said to the bewildered Dick:

"You don't really think those goblin masters would make equipment for us for free, do you? Those guys are money-grubbing. Even when my father asked them to make armor, he had to pay them. As a sign of respect for their ancient master, the goblins would give my father a 15% discount."

But others don't have this preferential treatment.

Moreover, it's elemental ore, the most durable mineral that can be found in Azeroth. My father's armor was made from it; the forces in the material world capable of destroying it are extremely rare.

"But I have no money. Where would a Warrior of Light like me get money?"

Diakum blinked and said:
"You're the Black Dragon Princess, you must have some savings, right? Why don't you take it out and pay a deposit first? We can talk about the balance after I get the investment from Hot Sands."

"Humph."

Princess Black Dragon rolled her eyes with a charming expression, pulled her military cloak tighter around herself, muttered "a penniless wretch who can't squeeze a drop of oil out of you," and strode away.

This comment caused great emotional distress to Saint Diakum.

But thinking about it carefully, it seems that he has been in a state of sustainable bankruptcy ever since his rebirth, and he has never had more than a hundred gold coins in his pocket.

This financial problem... oh, it's really troubling.
"Ok?"

Before the vigilant could finish his lament about how even a penny can stump a saint, he felt two arms grab his arms from either side, and then he saw the twins standing beside him, rubbing their eyes.

They "woke up".

"Does it feel like you've been dreaming?"

Dick asked in a gentle tone:
"Don't be afraid. The aftereffects of suppressing your emotions and maintaining rationality for many years will last for a while. I also went through the transformation from fanaticism to rationality. I can understand how you feel now."

"But do you really know where the emotions my sister and I have suppressed for so many years have come from?"

Aurecis tiptoed, letting herself, as if "awakening from a deep dream," rest on the shoulder of the Vigilant in human form.

She whispered in Diakum's ear:
"Do you really know how that burning longing drove us, so fragile during those war years, to the point that we had to resort to the 'Oath of Light' to maintain our sanity?"

"the most important is"

Saloras tossed her hair.

She grasped Saint Diakum's hands in front of her, wrapped them around her waist, and said in a soft, sweet voice:

"If you could have sensed everything happening outside while you were asleep, would you have heard the message my sister and I left for you before we left the Genidal? It may sound like a joke, but..."

She kissed the guard's lips, letting the gentle yet forceful nibbling express a certain "resentment," followed by a passionate kiss that represented the explosion and dance of emotions that had returned after the "oath of reason" was lifted.

"You actually ended up with Nellie."

Behind Diakum, Aurecis lightly kissed the Watcher's earlobe, then said with obvious displeasure:
“You should wait until we return before deciding on your life partner, instead of so hastily giving yourself to an Eredar wildling who has only ever known how to hunt and has no idea how to take care of people.”

Of course, considering our race's unique national circumstances, we don't really have anything to be angry about.

Fear not, Your Majesty, I will not do anything to you today. Today is merely an expression of our longing in the light, in the night, on the battlefield of stars.

“Every time we brushed with death, every time we collapsed from exhaustion, in every glimmer of light connected to our homeland, we could see you.”

"We don't know if this can be called love, or a bond, or something else more profound, but..."

“But we miss you, sir. Just like that night in Oronar, just like the night you were with us.”

"Holy Light above, we miss you so much."
