Chapter 262, Section 19. Come! Take this solar-powered battle axe and embrace the glory of battle! - [45]

"Sir! Watch out!"

Tramon followed Diakum into the intricate tunnels of the Qiraji Temple, only to be met by a dense swarm of alien insects charging toward them under the command of a strange, yellowish-brown worm.

These insects have a strange, fluorescent liquid in their abdomens, and their vitality is extremely unstable; they look like super dangerous "self-destruct bombs."

The Holy Light Legion has dealt with similar exploding bugs in the Star Sea; avoidance is the best option.

But Diakum did not retreat but advanced, wielding the holy blade and bursting forth with scorching light. He then attacked in a samurai-like manner, incinerating the exploding insects before they exploded with the blazing light. He burned away the deadly venom with the burst of holy light. Then, feeling that burning alone was too inefficient, he simply rushed forward a few steps and wielded the double blades in a burst of power.

Tramon's eyes widened as he saw the Watcher transform into a giant spinning top and surge forward with overwhelming force.

The double blades swung at high speed, creating a windmill effect to slay enemies while simultaneously unleashing their own scorching light in the form of a solar storm, sweeping outwards and engulfing everything in their path. The light was so bright that even the veteran felt like he was going blind.

Ok.

I, a light-forged swordsman who has honed my skills in the starry sea for over 20,000 years, am completely convinced and must admit that you are superior in skill. You are the true "light pollution" warrior!
When the "Great Windmill of Light" empowered by holy power came to a stop, all the exploding insects in the entire cave had been incinerated into ashes. When Diakum landed, he felt dizzy and even felt like vomiting.

The ignorant giant insect lunged forward, baring its fangs and claws, attempting a sneak attack, but Diakum covered its mouth with one hand, stepped forward with his knife, and cleaved its body in two or three strokes.

The "tenacious Van Cleef" couldn't be so tenacious this time.

Even though C'Thun has enhanced its super endurance and given it near-infinite life regeneration, I've never heard of any bug that can breathe and regenerate after being incinerated to its 12th degree.

"puff"

The scorching ash pierced Fankris's head, pinning the hideous giant worm to the disgusting creep. The final burst of holy light ignited the surrounding creep, as if holy flames were purifying the cave.

"Don't touch me, I'm a little dizzy, let me calm down."

Diakum, panting, said something to his assault adjutant.

He wasn't tired; he just felt that he had finished warming up. The slight embarrassment he felt was simply because his well-developed cerebellum hadn't had time to adapt to the "Blade Storm" technique since it was his first time using it.

The blade's high-speed rotation, like a washing machine, combined with the destructive power of the holy light, is decent, but it's not recommended for warriors with poor motor skills to try this move.

The message on the character card that read "The Sword Saint's exclusive legendary skill [Sword Saint Storm] has been learned!" was spectacularly ignored by Diakum.

He rubbed his temples, then pulled out an elf-shaped flask and took a swig, finally feeling a bit better. As he put the flask down, Dick noticed Tramon's strange gaze and said in surprise:

"what happened?"

"You didn't drink alcohol before."

The Sword Saint of Light, leaning on his sword, said softly:

"It seems that more than 20,000 years have changed you."

"The changes involved are quite complex, and it's difficult to explain them in just a few words. However, your growth is also gratifying. Seeing your blade always hitting its mark, you're probably only one step away from becoming a demigod, aren't you?"

Dick tossed the flask to Tramon, who, despite being the commander of the Holy Light Legion, was exempt from wearing a mask because he was on the path of warriors. He then casually removed his mask and took a large gulp.

"You have keen insight."

Tramont returned the flask to his superior, then looked at the ashes scattered on the ground and sighed:
"But compared to your progress, I seem to be getting too complacent. I, a critical demigod, am clearly not the same as you, a critical demigod. I guess if you really went all out in battle, you could purify this Qiraji Temple all by yourself, right?"

"Different professions have different characteristics, so generalizations cannot be made. As a 'Pioneer of the Sun' with all sorts of adventures, I am not afraid of group battles, and there are a few troublesome guys waiting ahead."

Dick pointed to the cave ahead and said:

"The 'Mother of the Hive' Hahoran, personally promoted by C'Thun, the Twin Emperors of the Thousand-Eyed Demon, the Void Beast Ouro who painstakingly destroyed the outer perimeter of the Titan's Cage for him, and even C'Thun's corrupted body, are not opponents that can be easily dealt with."

Okay, I'll go first.

These annoying guys are yours to deal with.

I need to rest for a while before facing the final stage of my trial, but Tramon, if you trust me, after dealing with these troublemakers, take the others and leave the temple. Don't approach the battlefield where I'm fighting C'Thun.

The vigilant reminded:

“It’s not that I’m afraid you’ll see my form in the darkness, but I’m worried that it will undermine your holy light and morality.”

"You don't need to explain. My comrades and I trust you completely, just as we followed you to hell during the final battle of Argus."

The Blademaster of Light, performing the Eredar war ceremony, said:

"I am also honored to deal with your formidable enemy."

"Swish"

The Blazing Blade was thrown towards Tramon, and Diakum strode into the depths of the temple, waving his hand and saying:

"Keep this safe for me, and while you're at it, see if you can glean any useful techniques from the Orc Swordmaster's legacy. Also, please apologize to Faria and the others for me. I'll treat them to drinks after this battle!"

Tramon watched his commander disappear into the intricate tunnels, then looked down at the simple, unadorned Black Stone Blade in his hand. He firmly believed that Commander Diakum must have had his reasons for entrusting the blade to him for safekeeping, so he put away the Lightsworn Sword, which he had forged from various materials he had searched for in the Star Sea.

The moment he touched the Blademaster's Blade, Tramon saw the battle illusions of those orc Blademaster masters.

Although their absolute strength was much weaker than his own, their combat skills, developed through the pursuit of perfection, were indeed worth learning. The Sword Saint of Light was eager to learn and spent some time imitating them.

When Faria led her elite warriors into the area, they saw four "Tramon" wielding their swords in different poses, slashing at the ferocious flying insects. Every now and then, they would unleash a "Lightforged Windmill" to clear the battlefield, looking incredibly powerful.

"Hey, what are you doing? Where's Commander Diakum?"

Crescent Blade shouted.

The next second, the real Tramon emerged from the shadows, reached out and patted Faria on the shoulder, startling her so much that she almost swung her spear at him.

"What kind of weird, lewd techniques? What? Have you become an assassin now?"

Faria looked her longtime comrade up and down. The latter made a few gestures, instructing the Lightforged warriors to spread out and clear the swarm. Then she said to her four comrades:
"The Vigilant has gone to the land of the Old Gods to prepare to purify the evil. He has entrusted us with the Voidlings under C'Thun. I think this will be a trial of battle like the 'Demon Warriors' of yesteryear. Barat, I need your unerring crossbow to hunt down the Hive Mother Hahoran with me."

The rest of you go deal with the Twin Emperors!
Legend has it that in the darkest depths of the temple dwells a void beast capable of breaking the Titans' seal.

"It's the Titan Seal again!"

Archmage Imira curled her lip in disdain and said:
"Those behemoths left such seals all over the starry sea, but nine out of ten of them contain dangerous things. The worst part is that their seals always break down. Damn it, the Holy Light Legion always has a headache when they encounter these 'Titan treasures'."

It's as if we're cleaners hired by Titan, but we don't get paid a single penny.

So, what's wrong with the Titans of the Pantheon? Do they love littering so much?

"Then you are in luck."

Gaiara whispered:

“Saint Diakum said that there are many Titan seals in Azeroth. This world was transformed by the Titans in ancient times, and the Titans are the enemies of us Draenors!”

“They are not our friends either. No, they are no one’s friend. They are a bunch of arrogant gods who only leave trouble.”

Imira pursed her lips.

The five heroes quickly learned of Diakum's plan from Tramon. After learning that the Old God C'Thun was also related to the important meeting between the Argus World-Soul Lord and the Azeroth World-Soul, the five heroes became serious.

"According to the vigilant's orders, we split into two groups to deal with different enemies."

Faria waved her hand and said:
"Tralmon and Barat will deal with the Mother of the Hive here, the rest of you come with me to deal with the Twin Emperors."

"Wait a moment, my warriors."

Farodis's voice echoed in the purified cave, and with a precise teleportation spell, the demigods on the outer battlefield were all sent here.

The two liches felt very uncomfortable being in this area filled with the remnants of holy light, but Farondis still endured the discomfort and spoke:

“We’ll help too. The history of the Kaldorei records the danger of the Twin Emperors. Even with the help of guardian dragons and demigods, the Black Raven King’s army couldn’t defeat them a thousand years ago. They are very dangerous opponents, so we must make more preparations.”

"Also, I noticed that your two archbishops also came into this underground cave. Didn't you see them?"

"Oh, damn it!"

Faria rubbed her forehead, looking helpless, and said:
"Those two guys must have gone ahead to ambush Commander Diakum."

"Ok?"

Old Deer Helmet asked curiously:
"Is their relationship not good?"

"No, I heard the twins confessing their love before the Vigilant's coffin when we left the Genidal for the Holy Light Legion."

Imira rubbed her horn and whispered, "But that was more than 20,000 years ago. In recent years, their personalities have changed drastically, and they have almost gone mad. It's hard to say what they think now."

"Oh, the debt of love!"

Irele's eyes lit up as she pricked up her ears.

She was eager to hear more "watchman stories," but Marlaad pressed down on her shoulder armor, signaling her not to ask any more questions.

People will die.

"Let's get started; we can talk about the gossip later."

At Faria's command, the group split into two teams, and the demigod spellcasters also went their separate ways.

As the Mother of the Hive let out a shriek, Old Staghelm led the others into the entrance to the evil god's palace guarded by the Twin Emperors.

This place is clearly different from the insect hive outside. Although it is shrouded in shadow, you can still vaguely see the Titan equipment behind the walls that has stopped working. The huge gears and dim pipes give this place a futuristic technological feel.

The insect-man emperor, over seven meters tall, stood guard at the exit, one wielding a sword and the other a staff, like two guardian deities protecting the road to the lair of the evil god, looking quite imposing.

But all that's left is its imposing presence.

When Tempest Keep entered the battlefield, the Holy Light Arbiter's secondary cannon had already pierced through the underground structure of the Qiraji Temple. The two guards there could not stop Diakum from entering the evil god's lair directly from the direction of the Rift.

"Those two guys are pretty tough."

Garrosh gripped his Destruction Axe with some nervousness; it was a weapon that Griselda had obtained for him from the high elves.

But to be honest, Young Hero is well aware of his current combat strength. Let alone these two insectoid emperors, he would have a hard time dealing with even ordinary insectoid lords.

But being unable to win is one thing; daring to go up is another.

"Immune to spells, immune to swords."

Dean Lan Yue frowned and said to the others:
"C'Thun has granted them the protection of the Void Force; we need to come up with some tactics."

“We’ve dealt with guys like that before.”

Faria said without changing her expression:
"We only need to use enough Force to counteract the Void Blessing temporarily. Our ship has Naaru on board, and we can use special weapons to exchange their power and change the course of the battle."

"Correct!"

The Archmage of Light pulled a mechanical-style Holy Light Battle Axe from her bag with a bang, surveyed the crowd, and finally spotted Garrosh wielding the axe. Her eyes lit up, and she said:
"Come, come, it's you, young man! You're full of energy and burning with rage, showing no fear in the face of a powerful enemy. You're clearly a promising warrior. Here! Grab this solar-powered battle axe! You'll be the one to guide the 'Solar Bombardment' from the Naaru in a moment!"
This is an unparalleled honor in the Holy Light Legion.

In those devastating battles we fought, fearless warriors wielded such battle axes, hacking into the bodies of powerful enemies, using the Naaru's sun bombardment to perish together with their foe.

Don't be afraid!
It doesn't matter if I die.

We have the advanced technology to extract your heroic spirit, transforming you into an even more powerful 'zealot' to continue the fight.

"Imira! How can you leave this kind of thing to a recruit?"

The Grand Garrison Commander, Sowerth, gave a rebuke and shook his head, saying:

"Let me guide them; I've done this job many times."

"No, if I can defeat a powerful enemy with my own hands, I will never refuse!"

Garrosh stroked the majestic mechanical crystal battle axe.

He slung his Destruction Axe over his back, flexed his shoulders, and stared at the arrogant Twin Emperors. His anger burned, and the scorching breath from his nostrils made his golden nose ring jingle softly. He then said disdainfully:

"If I can't even beat these two pretentious guys, how can I challenge my lifelong enemy?"
Leave it to me, everyone!
Even if you see me as just a new recruit, I will still fight my battle.

I will embrace the glory of this battle without reservation!

------

"boom"

The terrifying mental storm tore apart and exploded at a single point, causing Ouro, the Void Beast personally reforged by C'Thun, to howl in agony. Its sturdy shell shattered under the immense mental pressure, sending flesh and blood flying, as if it had been hit head-on by a heavy bomb.

This blow became the final straw that broke the camel's back, overwhelming the mighty Oro.

Although it had already exhausted its curse power when facing an invincible enemy before that.

The colossal beast, resembling a sand worm, let out its final whimper and crashed to the ground like a snake. Its body, covered in burn marks, still trembled, making the dark cave, which had been purified by the scorching heat, appear even more desolate.

Diakum put away Ashbringer and turned around helplessly to look at the twins emerging from the shadows behind him.

After many years, the two sisters and how they looked in his memory had changed so much.

The two people are still the same, and their height and weight probably haven't changed either. Although becoming Lightforged has given them a "whitening" treatment, the main change is in their demeanor.

It was as if she had transformed from two bad girls into a composed and aloof ice queen, making even the most timid and insecure guys afraid to get close to her with her cold, scrutinizing gaze.

"Commander Diakum"

"meet again."

The two sisters exchanged the same greeting one after the other, but the holy flames burning on Diakum's sword did not go out.

He said to the Gemini:
"Shall we have our debate after I've dealt with C'Thun?"

"No!"

The twins, teleporting one after the other, blocked the path to the Temple of C'Thun. Saloras, wielding her holy staff and ablaze, warned:
“By stepping into it, you have entered the ‘Ritual of Darkness,’ and only one of you and C'Thun is destined to survive!”

"But if you devour it, the Holy Light will not be able to bring you back."

Aurecis, who was suspended in the air and used her mental power to create a barrier to block the way, continued:
“Zera foresaw this scene, and it demands that we stop your 'suicide'.”

"With the river of fate already in such chaos, how can Zera still foresee the future?"

Dick raised his eyebrows and said:
"It seems the Mother of Light does indeed possess some skill. However, little girls, I'm not asking for your opinions! Where are all spirits?!"

"Swish"

Several spirits quietly appeared beside Diakum, including that bastard Bwonsamdi, while the Dark Prophet Zul and Princess Talanji, wielding the troll sword, also entered the area via the Loa's teleportation.

The Dark Prophet glanced at Diakum, and the Watcher whispered:

"When I have time, I'll help you deal with G'huun and that Titan seal! No need to say more, I know what a great mission the Zandalari bear. I have no ill will towards you, only respect."

"Alright! It's a deal. Dazar'alor welcomes you."

The "eye contact" between the two ended there.

As the Dark Prophet raised his hand, several Loa spirits rapidly solidified, while Princess Talanji, after examining Diakum, sheathed the Whipper's sword and raised her hands to invoke the power of the royal Loa Lezan.

"Stop them, and if possible, don't hurt them."

Diakum added a sentence, and the twins' expressions changed slightly. Saloras said loudly:

"The Holy Light will not allow it."

"Do me a favor and tell them to stop causing trouble."

Dick looked up and called out.

The next instant, to the twins' astonishment, the connection between the Holy Light and them was suddenly and unexpectedly suppressed to an extremely low level.

This scene left everyone present stunned.

"Hey buddy, you think you just did something really cool."

Bumsandy's spirit exclaimed:
"You commanded the Holy Light?"

"No, it's just a humble request."

Dick stepped forward, pressed down on the twins' shoulders, and gently but firmly pushed them away. He then set off on the road to the Temple of C'Thun, waving his hand and saying:

"The primordial light yearns to see miracles, how can I let Him down?"
