Chapter 348 Tactical Deterrence
When Reverse Lightning arrived at Denton's house, he was sitting in the living room eating pizza.

The television was showing news reports about the Steiger Group's disputes, while Denton sat calmly on the sofa.

There was no one else at the table, and the table was very clean. There were no cutlery, bowls, or dishes, and no food or soup, only two pizza boxes.

When Denton saw the man in yellow suddenly appear in the living room, he didn't show much surprise. Unlike the last time, when the meeting was so sudden and terrifying, this time he was mentally prepared.

He didn't even feel much fear.

“Hello.” He held up his pizza and calmly gestured to the man in yellow, “I’m eating right now. Could you come back to me later?”

Seeing the other party's fearless attitude, Reverse Flash clenched his fist.

Swah——

A blinding red lightning bolt struck Denton in an instant, whipping up a gust of wind that nearly knocked the pizza to the ground. In the afterimage, the man in yellow grabbed Denton by the neck, slammed him against the wall, and lifted him up.
His voice was now filled with anger and murderous intent: "You think that by hiding Elizabeth, I can't do anything to you?"

“Blake, you have no idea what I’m capable of, you have no idea how fast I can go. You can let Elizabeth run to the ends of the earth, and you can try every means to hide your tracks, but no matter how far you run, you’re just dancing in the palm of my hand.”

"Do you think Santorini is far away? In an hour, you will see me back in the city with Elizabeth's finger and her in person."

“You shouldn’t have provoked me, Blake—I’ll make you wish you were dead.”

"Cough! Cough! Cough cough."

Denton, whose neck was being choked, was unable to utter a word. His face turned slightly purple, but he did not struggle desperately. He simply reached out and patted the arm that the man in yellow was using to choke him, signaling the other man to put him down.

Reverse Flash then released his grip and slammed Denton to the ground.

boom!
"Ouch! That fucking hurts!"

Denton grumbled as he got up: "I advise you to go a little easier on me, or I'd better not kill you."

The man in yellow raised his hand with a cold smile.

"Are these your body's last words?"

"No, that's not it. In fact, none of my clones will die today, and I also advise you not to go looking for Elizabeth."

"Did you understand what I said?" Denton stared into the woman in yellow's blurry eyes and said warningly, "Stay away from her."

puff--

"Uh!"

Reverse-Flash plunged a karate chop into Denton's stomach: "Black, you might be a little delirious. Do you need me to help you recall what it felt like last night, that pain and fear—"

“If you dare to chop me with your hand again, I swear, your photos and videos will appear on various social media platforms in the next second.”

Denton interrupted him directly: "I know you can easily kill any one of my clones, but I also know you don't want to expose yourself to everyone."

“I don’t know why you’re so careful to hide your information, but I know that if you’re willing to go to any lengths to conceal it, even to the point of killing someone, then this matter must be very important to you.”

The man in yellow's expression changed drastically. "So you see, this is the situation now." Denton grinned, "You can't find my true form for the time being, and I will absolutely not use my true form to wander around outside."

"And you can't find Elizabeth either. I've made preparations, so you won't find her—you can find out that I bought tickets to Santorini, but I didn't let her fly there—I'm not that stupid."

"I can't defeat you, but you can't kill me either."

After a moment of silence, the man in yellow pulled the chop from Denton's stomach, and then, surprisingly, he smiled and clapped, praising Denton.

“A very clever strategy, very clever, Blake. I’m increasingly convinced that you have great potential.”

"Let me guess? Your true form is currently hiding in some unknown little space in the central city. Once I find Elizabeth, or find your true form, my videos and audios will be posted directly online, right? You know very well that if I find either of them, you will surely die."

“It’s not just Elizabeth and me. Anyone you can find out about my true form, whether they are my family or friends, if you lay a hand on them, I will expose your information.” Denton clutched his stomach and staggered to the sofa. Although his breathing was slightly short, his tone remained calm: “Since you won’t let me go, I will definitely do my best to cause you some trouble before I die.”

“A friend of mine once told me that there are only two ways to get unreasonable villains to cooperate with you. The first way is to provide them with enough benefits; the second way is to cause them enough trouble—and most of the time, the second is more important than the first, because they don’t learn from their mistakes.”

"If I have the opportunity in the future, I will definitely meet your friend in person."

"Let's forget it. My friend doesn't like psychopathic killers."

At this point, Denton let out a sigh of relief: "I think we don't have any common interests, but we don't have any deep-seated hatred for each other either, right? You want to hide yourself, and I want to protect myself. Neither of us wants to get into any unnecessary trouble."

"This is the situation we're in now. If I leak your information, my family and I will definitely die. But if you lay a hand on my family first, I will make sure to cause you some consequences even if it means my death."

The man in yellow had already guessed what Denton wanted to say, and he nodded again.

"The solution is simple, isn't it? We just need to mind our own business. I'll pursue my lawsuit, and you can be your ghost," Denton concluded. "We'll keep to ourselves, and that way, no one's interests will be harmed—what do you think? Deal?"

"Heh." Faced with Denton's suggestion of peace, Reverse Flash thought for a moment, and finally revealed a chilling smile on his face.

"make a deal."

"very good."

After the crimson lightning disappeared from the room, Denton, covered in cold sweat, immediately collapsed onto the sofa and pulled out his phone.

Jingle Bell--

The call was answered instantly, and Elizabeth's voice came through the other end of the line.

“Danton,” she said, her voice trembling with unease, “Can I go home now?”

“That’s enough, Elizabeth, that’s enough.” Denton smiled at the other side, “You can go home now.”

He hung up the phone and saw a new document on his phone, which was unsigned.

“Congratulations on surviving, Mr. Blake—we’ll work together again next time, if the opportunity arises.”
