Chapter 226 A Deadly Sprint

The situation in the Western Immortal Realm described by Juanshan shocked Qiu Ci. It was clearly just a difference in location, yet the two immortal realms were so vastly different. Extracting cultivation and lifespan was considered an evil act even in the lower realms, but here it was the immortal realm. It seemed Yi Hongyu was right; relatively speaking, the Eastern Immortal Realm was already better for them, the rogue immortals, compared to the Western Immortal Realm.

“Master, those who are chasing us should still be nearby. We need to leave here quickly,” Juanshan said with a guilty expression.

"It's too late." Qiu Ci had already sensed those unfamiliar auras and they were about to reach the valley. So, while setting up an isolation array, he also had the dog system block the two people's figures before replying in a deep voice, "Instead of going out and being caught red-handed, it's better to hide here and wait for them to leave first."

Juanshan nodded, his expression increasingly guilty. "It is I who have implicated you, Master."

"Shh, they're here!" Almost the instant she completed the magic array, several auras appeared above her head. Qiu Ci quickly withdrew all her immortal power and nervously looked at the light screen that popped up by the system.

Sure enough, the next moment, dozens of small red lights appeared on the map. Some of these red dots flew directly across the valley, while others stopped and began searching the surrounding area. In just a few breaths, Qiu Ci felt five or six divine senses sweep across the valley.

Fortunately, with the isolation array in place and the system's shielding, these divine senses could not detect their location. As the red dots above decreased and those people left one after another, the two finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Just when they thought they had escaped a disaster, the ground suddenly shook, the entire cave began to collapse, rocks fell down with a crash, and even cracks appeared on the ground.

Qiu Ci's heart skipped a beat. "They plan to destroy this valley!" What grudge could they possibly have?

Seeing that the entire mountain was about to collapse, Qiu Ci didn't care about anything else. She grabbed the old man from Juanshan, whose injuries had not yet healed, and rushed out of the cave. Almost the instant they rushed out, there was a rumbling sound behind them, and the towering mountain collapsed completely. Above the mountain, a huge cauldron-shaped magic artifact was covering it.

It was obvious that they couldn't find anyone and felt there was something wrong with the valley, so they simply destroyed the entire mountain.

Qiu Ci was very fast. After leaving the valley, she grabbed the old man from Juanshan and flew wildly in the direction with the fewest people. Even so, they were still discovered by the people above.

"He's out! He was indeed hiding in this valley!"

"Huh? Why are there two people here!"

"It must be his accomplice, otherwise he couldn't have escaped here."

"Catch them all! Any rogue cultivators who try to escape will be severely punished!"

With a few whooshing sounds, the pursuers sped towards them, their hands forming hand seals as they threw various spells and magical artifacts forward.

Qiu Ci ran away with all her might, not daring to look back at all, but she could feel the pressure getting closer and closer behind her. Without even looking, she knew that these people's cultivation was above hers, or at least one major realm higher.

[Master, turn 45 degrees to the left to dodge, increase altitude to 1547 meters, you can avoid all of this wave of attacks...] The dog system was also frantically calculating the best escape route.

In the end, there wasn't even time to broadcast the message, so they simply projected a large arrow in front of her to indicate the safest route to avoid the attack.

Even so, she had only recently ascended to immortality and her cultivation was not high. No matter how perfect her escape route was, she couldn't escape the crushing power of the enemy. She could see that the people behind her were getting closer and closer, and it wouldn't be long before she was completely overtaken. "Master, let me go and hold them off. This matter has nothing to do with you. They've come to capture me," the old man from Juanshan said anxiously.

"Shut up!" Qiu Ci glared at him. "You're barely breathing, what good are you? It's not time to betray your teammates yet!"

She frantically tried to escape using all her immortal power, but it was too late. A beam of white light shot out and arrived in front of them in an instant. The next moment, the white light in front of them shone brightly and transformed into a semi-transparent barrier in a few breaths, directly blocking their path.

Qiu Ci paused, only then realizing that it was a fan-shaped magical artifact that blocked off half of the sky in front of her, leaving her no time to turn around.

groove!
"Two ants who aren't even Earth Immortals dare to dream of escaping right under my nose!" A cold male voice rang out from behind, his words filled with disdain.

The two turned around and saw dozens of immortals standing behind them. Most of them were at least Earth Immortals, and three of them had exceptionally strong immortal power around them, indicating that their cultivation level was at least Celestial Immortal, above Human Immortal.

Qiu Ci had expected that there would be experts at the Heavenly Immortal Realm chasing Juanshan, but he did not expect there to be three.

"Hmph, let's see where you can run now!" The green-robed immortal in the middle of the three stepped forward. He was clearly the most powerful among them. He glanced coldly at the two of them, and finally fixed his gaze on Qiu Ci, as if he was assessing something. "Late stage Earth Immortal... Are you the Earth Immortal who just ascended from the Eastern Immortal Realm?"

Qiu Ci instantly realized that he had mistaken her for the girl who had ascended with him before. Overjoyed, she immediately began to raise the banner, "Indeed, seniors, this person is an old friend of mine. I wonder if you could show leniency and let him go."

"Let him go?" The man in blue snorted coldly, seemingly believing her identity but showing little concern. Instead, he glanced at her with disdain and said, "This person has betrayed our Western Immortal Realm. We are here on orders to arrest him. What right do you, a mere newly ascended Earth Immortal, have to ask me to let him go?"

Qiu Ci frowned. It seemed that even the title of Earth Immortal wasn't very effective. "Don't forget, everyone, this is, after all, the Eastern Immortal Realm."

"Hmph! So what?" The man in blue clearly didn't take these things seriously. "The affiliation of a Loose Immortal is determined by their ascension position. He ascended to the Western Immortal Realm, so he is a Loose Immortal of the Western Immortal Realm. Your Eastern Immortal Realm has no right to interfere."

As he spoke, he waved his hand impatiently and said, "Get out of the way quickly, and we will let it go. Otherwise, we will arrest you and take you back with us."

"Do you intend to be enemies of my Eastern Immortal Realm?" Qiu Ci struggled one last time.

"Enough with the nonsense, attack!" The man in blue raised his hand, signaling the people behind him to attack.

"Wait a minute!" Qiu Ci stopped them again, speaking coldly, "Aren't you even a little curious about how I, in the Eastern Immortal Realm, accurately located him, and why you insist on protecting a rogue immortal?"

The man in blue stopped, his expression darkening as he looked her up and down. "What do you mean by that?"

"What do you think it means?" Qiu Ci chuckled, adopting an even more arrogant expression than him. "I just want to remind you not to act impulsively and become pawns."
