A month at sea, with the endless ocean stretching out before them every day, had already robbed Siegfried of the initial excitement she felt.

Although I've taken a boat trip in Fontainebleau, at least I could see land around me and enjoy the scenery along the way.

Now all she can see is a blurry white expanse where the sea meets the sky, and all she can eat every day is fish from the sea. To Siegwen, this is pure torture, especially the storms at night, which keep her from sleeping.

Fortunately, the Duke was good-natured and didn't complain much; otherwise, given his personality, he would have definitely jumped into the sea and started practicing boxing to cross it.

Siegwen was sitting in the cabin, watching the Duke enjoying the breeze on the deck outside, and couldn't help but sigh, "If only we could get off the ship. Eating fish every day is unbearable."

While complaining, Siegwen gently tapped the edge of the porcelain bowl with the spoon in her hand.

The bowl contained a fish that was roasted to a golden brown. Although it smelled delicious, it had long lost its appeal to her after eating fish for half a month straight.

Just then, the cabin door was pushed open, and a sea breeze swept in. Leosley strode in, his black cloak billowing in the wind, his face still bearing that calm smile.

"The captain said we'll be there soon." Perhaps sensing Siegwen's impatience, Leosley smiled slightly and then sat down in the chair next to her.

Higewen looked up, a hint of anticipation flashing in her eyes, and stopped eating. The fish in the porcelain bowl had been poked and mashed beyond recognition, as if symbolizing her weariness of the long voyage.

Leosley walked to the table and sat down.

"We'll be at the shore in about half a day's journey. You can get ready; there are many things to take care of once we land."

Higewen put down her spoon, her brow furrowed slightly, and said with a hint of complaint, "Are we finally going to land? I've almost forgotten what it feels like to have my feet on solid ground. Spending every day on this rocking boat is so frustrating."

Leosley glanced at her casually and smiled slightly: "Patience is a virtue, Head Nurse, you taught me that before."

After Leosley finished speaking, a brief silence fell over the cabin. Siegfried didn't respond immediately, but instead turned her gaze to the window; the vast blue sea remained endless, as if mocking her impatience.

Siegwen sighed softly: "Perhaps you are right, Duke. I'm just... not used to such long voyages lately."

Her voice was low and tired.

At that moment, the captain pushed open the door and strode into the cabin. The wrinkles on his face smoothed out with a smile, and he said with a grin, "Gentlemen, good news!"

The atmosphere in the cabin instantly became lively. Siegwen's eyes lit up, and even the usually composed Leosley couldn't help but raise his head.

The captain rubbed his hands excitedly: "We just received news that the storm near Poseidon Island has subsided. We can arrive smoothly within the expected timeframe without any further delays."

Hisewen breathed a sigh of relief and stood up: "Great! This long voyage can finally be over."

By the time Leosley stepped out of the cabin, the land on the distant sea was already visible.

In the distance, a small black dot appeared on the horizon.

On deck, the crew was also jubilant, their cheers echoing across the Sea Eagle's deck. "We've finally arrived!" a crew member shouted, wiping the deck wood with a rag. "It wasn't easy!"

The captain stood at the cabin door, a broad smile on his face: "Gentlemen, we can now see the land of Poseidon Island."

Although Poseidon Island was already faintly visible in their field of vision, it took them nearly half a day to get closer before the mysterious island gradually became clear, as if it were playing hide-and-seek with them.

Just as they were excitedly anticipating the island's scenery, the sea suddenly churned, waves crashing and a huge white figure shot towards them like an arrow, swift and fierce. In the blink of an eye, the figure was less than thirty meters from their ship, like a hungry beast poised to attack.

With a deafening roar, the deep blue seawater was suddenly churned up like a rolling tide. A large shark, about 25 meters long, leaped out of the water with a splash, instantly soaring into the air.

Its striking gray-blue streamlined body gleamed in the sunlight, like a work of art from the deep sea.

“What a huge shark!” Siegwen exclaimed in surprise.

"This is the guardian beast of Seagod Island, a shark that has cultivated for 100,000 years, and it's the most ferocious of all sharks—the Demon Soul Great White Shark. It's known as the ocean predator, the most aggressive and ferocious sea spirit beast. Even a thousand-year-old Demon Soul Great White Shark can contend with an ordinary ten-thousand-year-old sea spirit beast. Escaping its attack is simply impossible. Moreover, since this guardian beast settled here, at least several hundred Demon Soul Great White Sharks have gathered in the surrounding waters, forming a natural barrier," the captain hurriedly explained.

"But don't worry, the Demon Soul Great White Shark won't attack us."

"Why?" Siegwen asked, also curious.

“We have an agreement with Poseidon Island to transport supplies from the mainland to them. The Demon Soul Great White Shark can recognize the markings on our bodies.”

Sure enough, the Demon Soul Great White Shark suddenly slowed down as it approached their ship, and floated up a dozen meters away from them. Its huge head turned towards them, and a hint of curiosity appeared in its two gray-blue eyes.

What is it curious about? Is it curious about humans?
The "Demon Soul Great White Shark" seemed quite curious about the Sea Eagle, and instead of leaving immediately, it began to swim around the ship.

The captain stood at the stern, looking at the enormous creature with fear and awe in his eyes, his tone tinged with tension: "Gentlemen, I will go to the bottom of the cabin later. There is a small platform there with a rope connecting to Poseidon Island. We just need to pull ourselves up with the rope."

But then, the Great White Shark seemed to have spotted a "stranger" on the ship, and its body instantly swam over, its huge mouth almost touching the hull.

"Your Grace!" Siegwen cried out, quickly stepping in front of Leosley.

The massive body of the Demon Soul Great White Shark almost completely enveloped them, and a foul, fishy stench filled the air. It seemed to have developed a strong interest in the two unfamiliar creatures on the ship, its eyes filled with curiosity.

“It doesn’t seem to want to attack us.” Although surprised, Siegwen did not back down.

"Gentlemen, do not leave the cabin. The Demon Soul Great White Shark will detect the presence of our ship."

After the captain finished speaking, he hurriedly went to prepare the rope.

Suddenly, the ship began to rock violently, as if struck by something. It turned out that the enormous body of the Demon Soul Great White Shark had approached them, almost touching the ship. (End of Chapter)
