"Duke, it looks like this place is about to collapse," Siegwen said slowly, looking at the cracks that had appeared around her.

Those cracks
They are expanding.

On the walls of the Ice Temple's top floor, cracks spread rapidly like a spiderweb, emitting a faint cracking sound. A chilling dust filled the air, making one hold their breath.

The surrounding ice and snow began to thin out, as if mourning the impending disappearance of the temple.

Shui Bing'er looked at Leosley with a questioning look in her eyes: "Teacher, is this the danger you were talking about?"

"What's this?!" Leosley looked at Shui Bing'er, who was now as frightened as a bird, and was quite helpless.

The top floor of the Ice Temple began to shake violently, and huge ice crystals fell from the ceiling, crashing to the ground with deafening roars. Cracks spread rapidly, and the entire space seemed to lose its support in an instant.

Higgin took a few steps back, dodging a falling piece of ice, and said, "Looks like we need to get out of here quickly!"

Shui Bing'er looked around in panic, her steps unsteady: "Teacher, what should we do?"

The cracks spread rapidly, and the entire space seemed to lose its support in an instant.

The roof of the Ice Temple began to collapse, and massive blocks of ice rained down from the sky with a sharp cracking sound, scattering shards of ice as they hit the ground. The chill in the air intensified suddenly, as if to freeze everything within it. Leosley stood still, his gaze calmly sweeping over his surroundings, as if this were nothing out of the ordinary.

Siegwen quickly took a few steps back, avoiding a huge ice crystal falling from above. She turned to Leosley, her voice tinged with anxiety: "Duke, we must leave here immediately!"

Shui Bing'er's face was pale, and she staggered, nearly tripping over the scattered ice on the ground. She managed to steady herself, looked up at Leosley, and asked in a trembling voice, "Teacher, what...what do we do now?"

Leosley did not answer immediately; his gaze remained fixed ahead, where Skadi's figure had completely vanished, leaving only a void of chilling energy.

The collapse of the Ice Temple's top floor intensified, with massive ice crystals continuously falling from the ceiling and cracks spreading rapidly across the ground like a spiderweb. The entire space was filled with ear-piercing cracking sounds and a chilling cold, as if it might engulf everything at any moment.

Higewen strode to Leosley's side, her voice urgent: "Duke, we can't delay any longer! We must leave immediately!"

Shui Bing'er grabbed Leosley's arm in a panic, her voice trembling, "Teacher, how do we get out of here? Where is the exit?"

There was only one road leading up here, but it has now collapsed.

······
Outside the Ice Temple.

The two emperors of ice and snow also felt the vibration under their feet, but they didn't know why.

"Xue'er, what's going on? I feel like the Ice God's temple is moving." The Ice Emperor, now in human form, frowned, her slender fingers gripping her sleeves tightly as she stared at the crumbling Ice God's temple in the distance. Her figure appeared exceptionally thin in the cold wind, yet she exuded an undeniable majesty.

Her voice was low and tinged with anxiety: "Something's wrong. The Ice God Temple has never made any noise like this before. Could something have happened inside?"

Xue Di stood beside her, his slender figure like a sharp sword, straight and piercing. She narrowed her eyes slightly, a hint of doubt flashing in his deep gaze.

"What exactly did those humans do inside?" Ice Emperor was also somewhat anxious at this moment. Because the Ice God was the faith of the soul beasts in the far north, and the Ice God Temple was the source of that faith.

"Damn it! Those humans really do have ulterior motives!" The two Ice and Snow Emperors exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with worry, and then they turned around and rushed towards the distant Ice God Temple.

The two Ice and Snow Emperors moved with incredible speed. Amidst the howling wind, their figures almost blurred into two afterimages as they swept across the snow-covered land. The Ice Emperor's long, silvery-white hair danced in the wind, her eyes flashing with a cold light, her fingers clenched into fists, her knuckles turning white from the force.

Snow Empress followed closely behind, her steps steady, each step sending ripples of frost across the ice beneath her feet. Her face was cold and stern, her brows furrowed with a chilling aura, her gaze fixed intently on the violently shaking Ice God Temple ahead.

Hyotei gritted her teeth: "These outsiders dare to desecrate the sacred ground of the Ice God!"

Her voice was icy and chilling, as if it could freeze the surrounding air. Before she finished speaking, she increased her speed again, her figure rushing towards the Ice God Temple like a bolt of lightning.

Hyotei murmured softly, "Lord Hyotei... your temple must not be destroyed by these humans!"

Snow Empress followed closely behind. Although her figure was not as swift as Ice Empress's, it carried a steady strength.

The blizzard outside the Ice God Temple raged even more fiercely, and dark clouds filled the sky, as if the whole world was lamenting the impending disaster. The figures of the Ice Emperor and the Snow Emperor appeared and disappeared in the blizzard, like a silver lightning bolt piercing the dark sky.

But before they reached the Ice God Temple, a deafening roar suddenly erupted, shaking the entire earth. The top of the Ice God Temple collapsed violently, and huge fragments of ice crystals poured down like a torrential rain, crashing to the ground and stirring up clouds of ice dust.

A bone-chilling cold filled the air, as if the whole world had been frozen in that instant.

The two Ice and Snow Emperors stopped several hundred meters away from the Ice God Temple. Their pupils reflected the destruction of that sacred temple, and an indescribable shock and anger welled up in their hearts.

Hyotei abruptly stopped, their pupils shrinking: "This... is impossible!"

Hyotei's voice was exceptionally clear in the howling wind, carrying an undisguised anxiety.

The Ice Temple has collapsed!

They've lived here for hundreds of thousands of years and have never seen anything like this before!

The Snow Emperor stood beside her, her gaze fixed intently on the collapsed temple. She slightly raised her hand, a wisp of cold air condensing at her fingertips, as if sensing something.

"The Ice God Temple..." The Snow Empress's face darkened, a hint of despair flashing in her eyes. They knew very well what the collapse of the Ice God Temple meant.

Seeing this, the Ice Emperor couldn't help but step forward and said urgently, "We cannot stand idly by! The Ice Temple is our faith, the foundation of our far north! If it is destroyed, where will our people go?"

The Snow Empress remained silent, only slightly turning her head to glance at the Ice Empress. A complex expression flashed in her deep eyes, but it was quickly replaced by coldness.

In the distance, Leosley, Shui Bing'er, and Siegwen emerged from the collapsed temple, looking somewhat disheveled, especially Shui Bing'er, whose face was pale and whose forehead was covered in a fine layer of sweat. (End of Chapter)
