Douluo: Reincarnation of Leosli, punishing the evildoers
Chapter 352 Skadi
Higewen's gaze was fixed on Shui Bing'er, her brows furrowed, and her fingers unconsciously clenched her sleeves. Her voice was so low it was almost inaudible: "Duke, she has stopped."
"Yeah, I guessed it."
Leosley gave a nonchalant reply, seemingly having already anticipated this situation.
A hint of hesitation flashed in Siegwen's eyes. She turned to look at Leosley, her voice so soft it almost blended into the surrounding cold wind: "Duke, are you really not worried? The Heart of the Ice God is not so easy to obtain."
"If that's really the case, then I can only say that the succession of gods in Douluo Continent is too simple, not as difficult as the legends say."
As his words fell, the surrounding space seemed to grow even colder. White mist drifted in the air, formed from frost crystals, each one shimmering with a dark luster, as if threatening to completely engulf anyone.
Not only that, even the air around him seemed to thicken at that moment, like glue trying to hold him in place.
but.
This seems to be of little use to them.
how to say?
Leosley's willpower is top-notch, even in that advanced world.
Having experienced so much in his childhood and spent so many years struggling alone in prison, he had long since developed a strong will.
Leosley's gaze remained fixed on Shui Bing'er, his eyes deep and calm, like an endless abyss.
Leosley didn't answer Siegwen's question immediately, but slowly raised his hand and gently brushed a few snowflakes off his shoulder. The snowflakes landed in his palm, instantly melting into a drop of water that reflected in his icy blue eyes.
Just then, the chill inside the Ice God Temple suddenly intensified, as if the temperature of the entire space had been sucked away.
The temperature in the Ice Temple gradually decreased, but for some reason, the temperature around Shui Bing'er seemed to be rising.
The existence of ice should normally absorb surrounding heat and lower the temperature, but this situation completely defies common sense.
Even the frost in the shadows was somewhat frightened upon seeing this.
Who is this guy?
This completely defies physics!
Of course, it's just that places like Douluo Continent don't exist.
Ice, which hardly exchanges heat with the outside world, does indeed exist.
Elements in extreme states sometimes exhibit characteristics that are completely inconsistent with their normal state. This is generally seen in ice, or extreme ice, in theory.
Of course, it doesn't mean it doesn't interact with the outside world for heat. Rather, this "extreme" state, like the "surface tension" of water, prevents the release of its coldness. However, subtle and minute heat interactions still exist. Over time, this "surface tension" will gradually weaken until it completely breaks down and explodes!
This is exactly what Leosley is creating now.
If this ice erupts unattended, the entire Ice Temple will immediately enter an even colder ice age than it is now.
The atmosphere in the Ice Temple froze at that moment. The chill in the air seemed to solidify, and even the passage of time slowed down. Leosley stood rooted to the spot, like an ice sculpture, cold and silent. He slightly raised his fingers, his fingertips tracing the air, bringing with them a faint chill. However, this chill did not spread outward; instead, he firmly controlled it in his palm, forming an almost transparent ice sphere. Within the ice sphere, tiny specks of light flickered, as if it contained some indescribable power.
"I've seen a ghost." A voice that didn't belong to Frost rang out at this moment, "Who exactly are you?"
"So you've finally decided to come out?" Leosley's voice was calm and still, without a trace of emotion. There was no sarcasm or threat in his tone; he simply stated a fact.
He stood silently, his gaze indifferently fixed on the direction from which the sound came. His expression remained unchanged, as if he already knew everything. A chill swirled around him, yet dared not approach, seemingly wary of his presence.
The ice puck in his hand still hovered in his palm, emitting a faint halo that completely suppressed the surrounding cold.
After a moment of silence, a figure slowly emerged from the shadows of the Ice God Temple.
A complex expression flickered in her eyes, a mixture of wariness and helplessness.
"The Ice God?" Siegwen was somewhat surprised when she saw the phantom that was identical to the statue below.
"So you're still alive." Leosley's lips curled slightly, as if he already knew everything that was happening before him. His eyes held a hint of coldness, but his tone was as calm as still water.
The ethereal image of the Ice Goddess floated in the air, her gaze sharp as lightning, fixed on Leosley. Her form was transparent, as if composed of countless tiny ice crystals, radiating an eerie blue light. The surrounding chill intensified with her presence.
"If this counts as being alive," the Ice God said with a wry smile, glancing at the almost transparent body below.
In human terms, her current state would be considered that of a ghost, right?
"Aren't you going to introduce yourself?" Leosley's voice remained calm, but the power it contained was chilling.
“You possess god-like power, even stronger than the Dragon God,” the Ice God stated, then added, “My name, if you wish, you may call me Skadi.”
Skadi's phantom slowly spun in the air, her icy body reflecting a deep blue light, as if she were one with the entire Ice Temple. Her voice was clear and ethereal, as if it came from the distant horizon, carrying an indescribable majesty and loneliness.
Siegfried stood to the side, her hands slightly clenched, her gaze shifting between Skadi and Leosley. A hint of surprise and confusion flickered in her eyes; she was clearly taken aback by the sudden appearance of the Ice God's phantom. Her lips moved slightly.
"So, you are dead now, but because of the existence of this temple, you are not truly dead?"
“You can interpret it that way.” Skadi looked at Siegwen, who was neither human nor spirit beast, and although she was somewhat surprised, she didn’t say anything.
During his years as a god, he saw all sorts of strange and wonderful things, so one more death wouldn't make a difference.
Inside the Ice Temple, a chilling aura swirled, as if time itself had stood still. Skadi's ethereal figure floated slowly in the air, her ice crystal body reflecting a ghostly blue light, giving her an illusory yet sacred aura. Her gaze swept over Leosley and Siegfried, finally settling on Icebeam, a complex emotion flickering in her icy blue eyes.
"Your arrival has surprised me somewhat."
Skadi sighed softly, her voice as crisp as shattering ice. (End of Chapter)
