Douluo: Reincarnation of Leosli, punishing the evildoers
Chapter 349 Arrival at the Audience
Siegfried gently tugged at Lyosley's sleeve and asked in a low voice, "Duke, do you think she can hold on until the end?"
Leosley did not answer, but simply nodded slightly, his gaze fixed ahead.
Seeing this, Xigewen withdrew her hand and her gaze returned to Shui Bing'er's back.
"She's not one to give up easily!"
Leosley seemed to be talking to himself. When Siegwen heard Leosley's voice, she turned her head slightly to look at him, a thoughtful look flashing in her eyes.
She didn't speak again, but simply pursed her lips slightly, her gaze returning to Shui Bing'er. Her fingers trembled slightly once more, as if sensing the flowing water element in the air, trying to capture something from it.
Frost's figure had completely vanished, leaving only her ethereal voice echoing in the air, as if it were the whisper of the Ice God Temple itself.
Inside the Ice Temple, a chilling cold permeated the air, accompanied by a solemn atmosphere. Leosley stood silently, his gaze as deep as an abyss, watching Shui Bing'er's figure gradually disappear at the top of the steps. His black robes fluttered slightly in the cold wind, a thin layer of frost forming at the hem, but his figure remained as straight as a mountain, completely still.
Siegfried stood beside him, her hands behind her back, her fingertips lightly tracing the edge of her sleeves. A complex light flickered in her eyes, a mixture of expectation and hidden worry. Her tail swayed gently, its tip curling slightly, as if silently expressing the turmoil within her.
"Duke," Siegfried suddenly spoke, her voice so soft it almost blended into the surrounding chill, "Aren't you going to follow them and see?"
Leosley smiled upon hearing this. He did not immediately answer Siegwen's question, but slowly raised his head, his gaze passing through the steps, as if he could see Shui Bing'er's back.
Siegfried blinked, her tail swaying slightly, seemingly surprised by his answer. She tilted her head and asked softly, "Do you think she can succeed? The Heart of the Ice God isn't so easy to obtain."
Leosley's gaze sharpened slightly, then returned to its usual calm. His voice remained steady and unwavering: "Whether she succeeds or not depends on herself. All we can do is believe in her abilities."
Leosley's words echoed quietly in the cold air, as if carrying an undeniable power. Siegwen nodded slightly, the worry in her eyes fading somewhat, replaced by a firm trust.
Siegwen said softly, “You’re right, Duke. We can’t walk this path for her.”
"Besides, head nurse, didn't you say before that we can only support them silently from the sidelines and not interfere too much in other people's fates?"
Her gaze returned to the long staircase leading to the top of the temple, where Shui Bing'er had long since disappeared. Sigwen's fingers gently traced the water elements in the air, sensing the faint fluctuations within, as if silently praying for Shui Bing'er.
Hisewen paused for a moment, then a hint of helplessness flashed in her eyes. She sighed softly, and the worry deep in her eyes resurfaced: "Even so, I still hope she can succeed."
As Shui Bing'er stepped onto the steps, Leosley felt a chill emanating from the ruins themselves.
The chill wasn't the kind that seeps into your bones; rather, it felt like a test of her will.
Leosley remained silent, his gaze as deep as a still pool, fixed on the direction where Shui Bing'er had disappeared. His figure stood motionless in the cold wind, his clothes fluttering slightly, as if he had become one with this icy world.
Higewen's gaze returned to the long staircase, a complex emotion flickering in her eyes. Her fingers gently caressed her cuffs, her fingertips trembling slightly, as if sensing the chill in the air.
After a moment, Siegwen spoke softly, "Duke, if she really gets the Heart of the Ice God, what do you think she will become?" "I don't know."
Leiosli shook his head. After all, the Ice God was only a rumor in the entire Douluo series, no, now it should be five parts, and he couldn't say for sure what the specifics were.
Siegwen sighed softly, her gaze still fixed on the long flight of stairs. Her tail swayed slightly, its tip curling up, as if unconsciously expressing her thoughts.
A cold wind swept by, bringing a chill that seemed to penetrate to the bone, but Siegwen didn't seem to care; her attention was entirely focused on the darkness in the distance.
“Duke,” Siegwen’s voice was soft, tinged with a hint of confusion, “if she really becomes the new Ice Goddess, can we still get along with her as before?”
Leosley remained silent for a moment, his gaze still fixed on the top of the steps. His expression was calm and serene, seemingly devoid of any emotion. However, he did not immediately answer Siegwen's question. Instead, he slowly raised his hand and gently brushed a few snowflakes from his shoulder. The snowflakes landed in his palm, instantly melting into a drop of water that reflected in his icy blue eyes.
“If she is really ‘replaced’ by someone else, then I will have no choice but to ‘clean house’.” Leosley’s voice seemed to echo in the cold wind, carrying an undeniable power.
Siegwen paused for a moment, then a look of understanding flashed in her eyes. She pursed her lips gently, a resolute look appearing in her eyes: "Duke, if you really do this, I will definitely support you."
"After all, I also want to see just how powerful the so-called gods of Douluo Continent really are."
As Siegwen finished speaking, a peculiar energy fluctuation emanated from her body.
Leiosley nodded slightly upon hearing this, seemingly having already guessed it.
"The head nurse is right."
He slowly raised his hand, his fingertips tracing the cold air, as if sensing something. After a moment, he spoke slowly, his voice still deep and steady, "If she truly becomes the new Ice Goddess, then it also means that we are about to usher in a new chapter."
As Shui Bing'er disappeared, Leosley's gaze returned to the top of the steps. The surrounding chill was still biting, as if it would freeze the space completely, but he made no move, simply standing there quietly, like a silent mountain.
Siegwen said softly, "Duke, you are right."
Her tail tip curled up gently, as if expressing the turmoil in her heart.
“But,” Siegwen changed the subject, casting her gaze into the darkness in the distance, “what if she doesn’t become the new Ice Goddess?”
Leosley was silent for a moment, his gaze sweeping back and forth across the long steps, as if deep in thought. Then, he shook his head slightly, his tone as calm as a whisper in the cold wind: "If she doesn't become the new Ice Goddess, then it proves she cannot inherit the divine position."
"We can only respect her choice."
As Leosley finished speaking, the surrounding chill seemed to intensify. (End of Chapter)
