Chapter 1 Duke
Tiandou Empire, Tiandou City, a bungalow.

Inside the courtyard, a young man, seemingly in his twenties, was flipping through a book on a table. His movements were graceful, and each word he wrote seemed to reveal a touch of beauty. He had a handsome face, with distinct features, but his brow was slightly furrowed, giving him a melancholy air.

His tall and straight figure, like a towering mountain, evokes a sense of calm and solid security. His short, neatly styled gray-black hair, the strands of hair slightly obscuring his deep, ocean-like gray-blue eyes, seems to hold endless secrets, often radiating calmness and wisdom, as if he can see through everything in the world.

Gray-black hair and ice-blue eyes are not rare in this continent, but they are also novel.

Whenever someone's martial spirit awakens at the age of six, the pupils and hair color of the body will gradually approach the elemental style of their own martial spirit. For example, the students of Blazing Academy all have red hair and red eyes.

Therefore, his hair color and pupils are rarely seen in the Tiandou Empire.

His name is Leosli, and he is not from Douluo Continent.

He is not from the continent of Teyvat, but is born as a soul into a body named Leosli and reincarnates in this form in the world.

He experienced a life similar to Leosli's. He did not have a comfortable and happy childhood. He was deceived by the person he trusted the most, abandoned by his biological parents, and met adoptive parents who were equally scumbags. Then, he killed them as well and went to Melo Petersburg, taking the title of "Duke".

The opportunity to come here was that the eruption of the abyss affected Fontaine, causing the original fetal sea to move abnormally, but Villette's rescue came too late, and the riot was too fierce.
He thought he was the only Teyvat in this "new" world.
At first, he was still a little confused about what this world was like, until one day, he saw two soul masters with "martial spirits" and circles rising under their feet...

"Douluo Continent?"

I was a little surprised that I would travel to this fantasy world of floor tiles.

It didn't take long for Leosley to accept reality.

Whether it was time travel or not, he had long wanted to shed his identity as a "Duke" and live the life of an ordinary person.

Unfortunately, his wish did not come true.

Now, this is also an opportunity, right?

His face was angular, like a meticulously sculpted sculpture, every line perfectly defined. His high nose, like a mountain ridge, betrayed his resolve and courage. His lips, when pressed tightly together, held a firmness, as if he had made up his mind and would not easily change it.

The unexpected opportunity for discovery was the cartoon-style milkshake that he drank every day without fail.

Seeing this milkshake full of the smell of "desolation", Leosli smiled helplessly.

The head nurse on the side looked at Leosley expectantly, hoping that he could drink the milkshake this time.

However, Leosli glanced at the book on the table, while his other hand was deciding between milkshake and black tea. Every time Leosli's hand got closer to the milkshake, the head nurse would smile.

but!
When Leosley's hand got closer to the tea, the smile on the head nurse's face would disappear.

Every time the head nurse wished Leosley would have had an extra milkshake.
However, he chooses to drink black tea every time.

This time.
I guess this is no exception.

A sullen Meltridge always stood by, her expression stern, like an invisible judge, watching Leosley's every move. Her eyes, radiant as rubies, blazed with intensity, as if taking in his every action. No matter how Leosley feigned indifference, his cautious desire to escape could not escape her gaze. Leosley, despite being over thirty, still seemed like a mischievous child in front of the head nurse of Melo Petersburg, trying every possible means to avoid the familiar bottle of milkshake.

Leosley frowned slightly, sighing inwardly. The taste of this milkshake was truly unforgettable, a rich bitterness and sweetness mingling on his tongue, like a memory from the past he couldn't bear to recall. Remembering that feeling, he couldn't help but shudder again, silently praying in his heart that he could escape this disaster.

"Head Nurse, have you changed the milkshake recipe?" Leosli finally couldn't help asking, his tone tinged with anticipation and doubt. Could it be that Sigwen had truly heard his inner prayers and come up with some innovative flavoring? He felt a tinge of curiosity.

"No, what's wrong?" Sigwen smiled faintly, appearing completely innocent. Her eyes, however, were as sharp as a hawk's, fixed on Leosli, as if to see through every ripple in his heart. Her concern for him was like a gentle spring breeze, warm and resolute.

"Ah, really?" Leosley shook his head helplessly, his doubts buried deep within him for the time being. Perhaps this was fate's will; he no longer needed to seek those hidden answers. He slowly downed the rest of the milkshake, his mouth twitching uncontrollably, as if locked in a silent struggle with his own sense of taste.

Then, he brewed another cup of black tea. The warm aroma spread, dispelling the discomfort and restoring a peaceful state of mind. As Leosli savored the black tea in his hand, he looked at the empty cup, a faint smile curling his lips.

"Did Your Excellency the Duke stay up late last night?" Sigwen, the nurse, spotted Leosli at a glance and asked with concern.

"Yeah." Leosli nodded slightly, but his expression didn't change at all, still as calm as water.

"I heard the Duke often stays up late because of his busy work. That's not okay!" Sigwen smiled softly, her eyes filled with worry. She whispered, "We're not in Melro Petersburg now. Even the Duke can take a break."

"I'm not tired," Leosli replied calmly. He knew this was Sigwen's way of showing concern. For him, this process hadn't changed at all, even though he was still the same Duke, even though he remained steadfast in his duties.

Looking at the person before him, Leosli felt a warm feeling in his heart. This feeling made him feel at ease, and even in his exhaustion, it never wavered. Even if his body was exhausted, there was no place that made him feel more comfortable than this.

"Okay, I understand. You just need to tell me. If there is anything you need my help with, please be sure to let me know." Sigwen said with a smile.

"Don't worry, I'm fine." Leosli nodded gently, a smile on his face. He understood that Sigwen was concerned about him, not just taking care of him.

The conversation between the two warmed the air around them. Their eyes met, conveying a silent understanding. Perhaps, this kind of care is the true meaning of protection.
