Dedicate loyalty to the good empire

Chapter 350: Firepower Advantage, Part 1

Chapter 350: Firepower Advantage, Part 1
Taylor was currently unaware of the war Guilliman was in, and was currently focused on his own plans.

That is to destroy the Cauldron of Ku'gath, the ancient crucible from the depths of Chaos, wielded by Nurgle himself.

Through the psychic girl's perception and the tarot card predictions of the Empire's legal psychics, Taylor roughly knew the target's location.

In the northernmost part of this world, in the area known as the End Continent, that place was once called Lankor, which means the North Pole in the imperial language.

In other words, the name of the place revealed its coldness, but after the heavy transport ship brought the soldiers into the area, Taylor felt only a nightmarish damp heat.

Here too, traces of corruption obscure the heavens, even more severe than at Guilliman's landing site. The Imperial Ecclesiarchy has distributed priests and battle sisters among Taylor's troops to alleviate those difficulties with faith and miracles.

Taylor looked at Catachan and Cadia getting off the landing ship. They were almost the elite from the two most powerful source worlds of troops in the empire.

One with a vengeful rage, the other from the world of death.

Taylor ate a can of Grox and analyzed the almost useless strategy map out of boredom.

The mountains and lakes above have disappeared, replaced by the grace of a kind father.

This is already a garden of chaos. This broken strategic map is placed here just to give the officers something to occupy their time while eating, so that they won't be too lax.

Although the actual effect is far less refreshing than a deck of playing cards, a few throne coins, and noisy, shouting and cursing.

At least Taylor had proven that if you told the Catachans that those metal blocks called Throne Coins could be exchanged for something else, they would perk up and gamble with you.

Although they dislike overly "cooked" food, Catachans also enjoy drinking and pursuing novelty.

Most Imperial items are of little use to them, but while on patrol they will venture into cities to find what they like.

Of course, the Military Affairs Department does not pay them wages. All the battle achievements of Catachan soldiers outside will be exchanged for fuel, metals, weapons and equipment, and will be sent independently to Catachan.

This is also their survival strategy, loyalty and reliability. At least Taylor can always believe that those shirtless men are of the same mind as him.

After all, there is no one who wouldn't want to add a little something to their hometown, even if it's a rough place.

Overall, they are worthy of admiration, and they had no regrets or hesitations when stepping into the Chaos Corrupted Area.

The only problem was that they had food rations for 15 people, but they only took away one-tenth of it.

That tenth is still smoked meat or bacon.

In other words, in the eyes of Catachans, canned food is probably equivalent to garbage.

This made Taylor very curious about how they were going to complete their reconnaissance mission after abandoning several tin cans that looked like small hills.

Secondly, he also understood for the first time why the Military Affairs Department hated these guys so much.

Because the food they gave up always had to be returned to the empire, and the empire's efforts to prevent corruption and their damn, rotten, and lengthy procedures always made it difficult for things to come in and go out.

If Guilliman hadn't reformed the rules on the supply side, Taylor would be watching those cans starve.

After all, if a few are missing, they can be punished for stealing imperial supplies. In an actual war, the Ministry of Military Affairs will probably try every possible way to force food on the Catachans, leading to conflicts.

The Empire is truly rotten...

But now the warriors from the forest world have been deployed, and they are like the eyes of the Emperor, lighting up and repainting one complex place after another.

The fog of war that the loving Father has imposed on this world is lifting.

There are many more places on the strategic map now, such as Chaos supply points, or the mass graves they dug, mainly for converting demons and storing sacrifices.

It's just disgusting anyway.

Taylor now had the strategic map posted, and just looking at the names on it made his stomach churn.

He complained. "How on earth did those Catachans manage to find so much with only a tenth of their food supplies?"

"Could it be that they..."

Thinking of this, he actually already had the answer in his heart.

Really are……

Clean and hygienic!
He asked the Krieg girl uncertainly. "Shouldn't we just leave it alone? Will they get sick from it? I'll take them from their homeland and let them face Chaos directly..." "Those guys won't eat anything. Damn the Catachan spirit..."

"I think we should call them Catachan psychos!"

Sister Krieg straightened her long golden hair. She looked like a Valkyrie on the battle front. As long as the brothers saw the legend standing there, they would realize that Chaos was not invincible.

But now, facing the angry Cadian warriors and the eccentric Catachans, her existence is really a bit redundant.

Perhaps it was the long hours of logistical work that had left her with no fondness for the eccentric people of Catachan, or perhaps it was the life in the Krieg Corps that had left her insensitive to death.

She answered without hesitation. "The mission is accomplished. This is a gift from the Emperor."

Taylor said regretfully. "I forgot where your mother's family is from. Asking the meaning of a Krieg's sacrifice..."

"I can really do it!"

He laughed at himself and then prepared to arrange the first batch of advancing troops.

It's time to let that chaos go.

However, his plan was disrupted by a hasty warrior, a Cadian warrior with purple eyes. He shaved off his thick beard and grew a beautiful head of hair.

He was dressed in his best clothes, like a guest at a ball.

He said seriously, "Lieutenant Colonel, we must prepare for the attack."

"The Cadians have had enough of waiting. Revenge is today!"

Taylor replied. "Don't worry, Major General."

"We haven't seen the Archdemon or the Crucible yet. Apparently Ku'Gath is hiding deep. Now we just have to drink coffee and eat canned food behind the Catachans."

The soldier replied. "Wait?"

"We have waited ten years, sir, ever since the day the Regent returned!"

"You enter the Chaos Warp every day, and you look as young and strong as when we first met."

"But I don't know if I can seize the next opportunity in this lifetime!"

"I want them to pay with blood..."

He said with a choked voice, and Taylor could only reply.

"You can use whatever you want in the armory, but clear the strategic points on the map."

"The Emperor is above us, don't worry about supplies."

"The Regent and his Five Hundred Worlds paid for all of this!"

"Go have some fun, boy!"

Taylor watched the "young man" leave in a hurry, as if he were a child who had been promised by his elders that he could play with firecrackers.

Ms. Krieger laughed. "You're like his father."

Taylor replied. "You don't look old. I was lost in the Warp, traveling to the Dark Side of the Empire, so long ago?"

"ten years……"

He sighed and thought about the previous war when Free Blade Elena didn't dare to meet him in the mecha.

That wild girl must be too old now. Her self-esteem probably won't allow her to see her in her 40s, or she wants her to always be as heroic in her heart as when they first met?
Taylor is only 26 years old now...

Taylor couldn't help but complain.

"Damn it, what kind of day is this!"

"Subspace preservation technology, right?"
