Dedicate loyalty to the good empire

Chapter 272 Perfect New Human

Chapter 272 Perfect New Human

Aboard the Emperor's Children battle barge, an Emperor's Children led the way for Taylor and his comrades.

He hummed a ballad in a low voice, and the curved sword in his hand beat rhythmically on the metal floor of the ship like a crutch.

His armor flexed deftly, every movement of the electronic muscle bundles on it so clear.

He made clicking and tapping sounds, and notes came out of his throat, and he would sing a few lines from time to time.

"The stars are dim because we are here, celebrating together..."

Taylor watched the Chaos Space Marine jumping around. He looked to be about 30 years old, with silver hair and a delicate face.

Like an ancient nobleman from ancient Terra.

There were many cracks on his purple power armor, but they could not conceal its luxurious nature. A gem-carved skull was engraved on the back of the armor, as if staring at Taylor all the time.

If nothing unexpected happens, this damn guy is Taylor's tour guide and temporary manager.

Although Chaos is often said to have no rules, it is not to the point where a loyalist can roam around freely.

But listening to those ballads, Taylor's head twitched and he said, "It's a good song."

The Space Marine stopped, stuck out his long, twisted tongue from his mouth, which looked like a sharp and scary mosquito mouthpart, and then stared at Taylor.

Taylor regretted it almost immediately. Why did he say so much?
The Chaos Space Marine lowered his body, thought for a moment, and then said, "Good taste, believe in the Corpse King. We have musicals regularly on board, would you like to see them?"

His voice was like that of an elegant British gentleman, with graceful tongue and beautiful voice, which made Taylor wonder if he might be the leading actor in the musical.

Taylor still replied hastily, "No, I have an appointment with Mr. Fabius."

The Space Marine was a little unhappy at first, but when he heard Fabius' name, he let Taylor go.

He led the mortals forward, and the cultist girl whispered softly to Taylor.

"What were you thinking? Talking to him? Last time I saw him, he was torn to pieces because someone praised his ballad!"

Taylor said fearfully. "But I'm fine..."

The girl replied. "Obviously he likes you more than that guy. Or maybe he's afraid of Fabius. Who knows?"

Taylor realized that he seemed to have almost annoyed the guy who was supposed to be in charge of him next, but fortunately he seemed quite happy.

But maybe that kind of happiness is fake?
If Taylor didn't want to experience the dark side of the empire, he would never want to step onto this ship, a ship full of filth and corruption.

But to be honest, this is much better than the sub-space.

He'd lived in Blackstone Fortress before, but this was nothing in comparison.

Thinking of this, Taylor felt that he should relax a little, but when he looked up, he saw Fabius's old face.

The old Space Marine said with a stern face, "That's enough, Odysseus."

"Leave our guest here. I need to speak with Mr. Taylor."

The warrior named Odysseus left quickly, while Taylor looked at this place. This was a strange laboratory. There was no need to say much about the bottles and jars, but the biggest doubt was still...

Taylor couldn't help but ask, "Why don't you turn on the lights?"

Fabius replied, "Of course, I'm afraid your little hearts will die from the sight of my collection."

"If mortals can unscrupulously witness all the absurdities of this universe, then humans are truly perfect..."

"Unfortunately, no, never."

He emphasized the word perfect.

It was as if the word had magic power... He led Taylor and the others into the laboratory. At this moment, his boys had lost the enthusiasm or curiosity they might have had at the beginning, and were frightened by the horror and gloom here.

To be honest, if it was just a dark laboratory without lights on, it wouldn't be a big deal, but when several strange alien biological specimens flashed abnormal light in the black haze.

That feeling is indeed suffocating enough.

Taylor even saw a trembling compound foot and heard strange sounds of arthropods colliding.

Taylor asked, trying to distract himself. "Odysseus, is it the Odyssey? Homer?"

It was an ancient legend, a story from Greek mythology. Taylor had read it in the library out of boredom, and he slept very comfortably that day.

Fabius suddenly stopped, thinking for a moment, and then answered, "Yes, I gave him that name, and he was born in my laboratory."

"I am his father. Our blood relationship is even closer than his to the Primarch."

Taylor realized something at that moment. "He wasn't using gene-seed? But a clone?"

Fabius replied sternly, "You are too sensitive and sharp. If you don't let go of those abilities, your future will be difficult."

"People like you are prone to hearing whispers from the warp, and therefore unable to sleep. You will feel true terror and thus go crazy."

"I don't want guys like you to die young, so let's change the subject."

He continued forward, saying, "The rest of you can stay here. I'll arrange for a few puppets to serve you. Only Taylor can follow me."

Taylor said seriously. "You're not trying to kill me?"

Fabius smiled. "Then I can come anytime, anywhere. On the contrary, I want to tell you why I want to go to the Holy Land of the Empire..."

His huge body moved forward quickly, and Taylor followed. After the two of them moved forward for a while, the place began to become bright without them noticing.

A large and comfortable room appeared in front of Taylor. There was no so-called evil here, nor were there any ice-like metals.

There were only soft beds, books for the children, and ancient poems.

Dozens of slender, two-meter-tall giant humans with skin as perfect as porcelain stood inside the room.

They were dressed in snow-white robes, like prophets in ancient Arabian stories, and they were all sitting reading or playing with each other.

They were almost perfect, feeling very much like the Eldar, and Taylor could sense the fear in their eyes as they looked at the chainswords at his waist.

They have Cadian-like purple eyes, silver-white hair, and unsettlingly perfect faces.

Most importantly, they are almost the opposite of Chaos, those are complete order and...

Perfect?

Taylor said in disbelief. "Artificial life..."

He wanted to describe those beings as blasphemous or disgusting like the Imperials, but he couldn't say it.

Fabius now asked, "If the offspring I created are bad, then what about the Emperor?"

Taylor didn't answer.

Fabius said, "So, you can understand me, I know."

"So I brought you here, firstly to relieve my inner loneliness and anxiety, and secondly to tell you."

"I will take them to the Holy Land of the Empire and find a fertile garden world. Let them live in the Garden of Eden, just as described in the ancient poem, where the world was created in seven days, and God used himself as a template to create humans..."

Taylor said in disbelief. "You really are a lunatic, the craziest lunatic I've ever met!"
