Dedicate loyalty to the good empire

Chapter 207 Cato Sicarius

Chapter 207 Cato Sicarius
Sicarius, captain of the 2nd Company of the Ultramarines, is currently the best swordsman among the Ultramarines, and is also the best in strategy and combat effectiveness.

Although everyone knows that Chapter Master Calgar is wise and brave, Sicarius's brilliance is even greater.

Now people all believe that if one day Calgar can no longer stand up in the long war.

Then the person who will most likely succeed him will be Sicarius.

Now such a legend stood in front of Taylor, in a reception room belonging to Macragge.

He came in his own armor.

It was an ancient set of armor with a Roman style, full of the special temperament of ancient civilization and the gorgeous style of Macragge's meticulous craftsmanship.

The giant was now sitting on a soft seat, listening to a mortal in front of him telling him his legendary story.

After the mortal recounted the story of the Primarch's return and the machinations of the Four Gods, the great swordsman gave him a thoughtful and approving look.

Sicarius said. "I felt something disappear inside me, and then it emerged, even fuller than before."

"On our way out of Cadia, we encountered many enemies, but after a certain power awakened, those conflicts were naturally resolved."

"Yes, I understand now, that is my Lord," he said confidently and happily.

"I thank you, mortal, and I now regret not siding with you on Cadia."

"If my help could have allowed you and Cawl to reach Macragge a few minutes earlier, it would have been a great benefit to me and to the Ultramarines."

He stood up in the conference room, looked out the window at the thriving Macragge, and said.

"Conspiracy..."

"The traitors will not let Guilliman go, my father."

Sicarius thought for a moment. "A crown?"

He said thoughtfully.

"Although vague, the intelligence you obtained is quite valuable. Normally, a Space Marine wouldn't know so much. Apparently, you captured a commander."

"Perhaps the Emperor is helping us in some way."

Taylor thought for a moment. "I think it was just luck, and we shouldn't alarm them now. Let things proceed as normal. We just need to look for opportunities."

Sicarius nodded. "You're much smarter than I thought. No wonder you were able to escape the Cadian War."

He added, "According to what you say, you intend to reside permanently in Macragge?"

"That's good, you chose my hometown..."

He looked at the mortal and asked. "By the way, I have a crew member who wants to see you."

Taylor asked. "Is he an Ultramarines?"

Sicarius shook his head. "No, she is a chronicler."

Taylor replied. "Then I already know who it is."

Just as he finished speaking, a Cadian woman walked in and said, "The second volume has been published. Rejoice, my protagonist."

Taylor sighed. "You need to remind me how much it sold for, or my nightmares won't go away. Who knows if I'll be surrounded next time I walk into a restaurant?"

"You ruined my afternoon tea. You're worse than Chaos."

The Cadian lady said. "I gave you the money to buy a house on Macragge, didn't I?"

"Think well, you can eat with your face covered."

Taylor gritted his teeth. "Okay, when I remember that this is all because of you, I'll hold back from shooting you," Sicarius said. "You two have a really good relationship."

Taylor sighed. "I'd rather our relationship was a chance encounter, that I saved this girl from Chaos, and then my bad days began."

Sicarius smiled, then said, "Good times are coming soon. With the gene-seed provided by the Primarch, the Ultramarines' production time will be reduced from ten years to six months."

"The Primarchs have more gene-seed than any other Space Marines, and they can be harvested repeatedly. For them, it's as easy as cutting a fingernail. This is why there were so many Imperial Space Marines during the Great Crusade."

"And the Codex Astartes... this is a problem. A rule that has been upheld for ten thousand years cannot be changed overnight. But I believe Guilliman, my father, can do it."

Sicarius's gaze seemed to see many great or noble things in this chaotic and dark heavens.

How exciting, thankfully Taylor just needs a good dinner.

He said goodbye to the giant and walked into his favorite restaurant. This time, as a celebration party for escaping the threat of Chaos, he brought his boys with him for the first time.

The proprietress now had to call on her neighbors for help.

And amid the aroma of fried meat and delicious bread, Taylor said seriously.

"Girl Krieger, let's just drink a little, just a little."

She said seriously, her facial expression never changing. "Not at all."

Taylor licked the corner of his mouth and looked at the Eldar gulping down the wine next to him. "Why is that guy able to do that?"

The Krieger girl said jealously. "She's an alien. I wish she would die sooner. Drink more."

"When your liver can no longer cope with the alcohol, my mission with the Emperor will be over."

The Eldar woman insisted. "My liver is different from yours. I'll drown myself before the alcohol kills me."

"So you don't need to worry, kind person."

She now picked up the wine and approached Taylor. "Come on, monkey, try this and leave that woman alone."

She was deliberately trying to piss off the Krieger woman, but Taylor took a sip anyway. Only when the warm alcohol passed from his mouth to his esophagus did he feel like he was breathing.

The Krieg girl yelled, "Don't drink!" Then she stood up and snatched the wine glass from the Eldar's hand.

But Taylor had already finished his drink. He breathed a sigh of relief and said, "This is how people live."

Then he glanced sideways at the narrator. "I invited you here because you are a refugee from Cadia. Your compatriots fought alongside me, but that doesn't mean you can feast like this."

He pointed at the large amount of food on her table and said, "You really don't treat yourself as an outsider."

The Cardinal lady said, "Otherwise, I have no home."

This silenced Taylor, and then he cursed, "Eat until you die. When you get out of shape, I'll dump you!"

Then, a group of people left in a noisy atmosphere after having eaten and drunk their fill. Taylor generously took out a throne coin and left with the proprietress's thanks.

Apparently, the food was not worth even one throne coin.

Taylor combed his hair, returned to the camp, and immediately saw the message from Guilliman.

Now, the Primarch has returned to Macragge, having driven most of the Chaos forces from across Ultramar.

So, he needed a celebration and invited Taylor to be part of it.

Taylor wanted to refuse, but he immediately remembered what the Chaos Space Marine had said.

Fulgrim's Gift...
