Dedicate loyalty to the good empire

Chapter 194: Journey on the Webway

Chapter 194: Journey on the Webway
In a simple camp, several boys were wearing helmets and covered with waterproof cloth, almost sitting on the ground.

Fortunately, a few stones given to them by the Emperor prevented this from happening, preventing them from having to land directly on the wet and cold ground.

A table made of a few simple iron sheets was wobbling with the delicious food prepared by the girl Lightlin.

But those things have almost used up their last supplies, if they can't escape this world.

This, then, is probably the Last Supper.

Taylor also wanted to go hunt some creatures nearby, but this team had nearly 20,000 people, and he had to kill a Leviathan to feed all those mouths.

Taylor was quite pessimistic about this. At the same time, a visitor from another civilization was looking arrogantly at the monkey-like humans who were squatting on the ground and eating.

She said with disgust. "If you don't have furniture or tableware, you can try to maintain the most basic appearance of being an intelligent creature."

The Lightling girl answered without hesitation. "If you were chased by a group of demons and space marines for almost a week."

"And the total time you can rest assured is less than two hours. Your situation is no better than ours."

The Eldar prophet shook his head. "I don't think so."

Taylor cursed. "There's no point in assuming. Now we need to know what's going on. For example, why are you Eldar helping us?"

The prophet looked at Taylor and said, "The Death God will return to lead us. To fulfill this prophecy, we must help you and bring back your Primarch."

"Right now, the Webway is connecting close to the Primarch, allowing Cawl to fulfill his destiny."

Tyler ate the last of the delicious stew. Even though it was just a big mess, the warmth and fat did restore a lot of his strength.

"That's probably good news," he said, wiping his mouth.

"When can we leave? I don't want to see Abaddon's bald head anymore. My small treasury was almost completely destroyed in order to deal with him."

He was a little anxious to leave this cold hell, where supplies were scarce and there were countless enemies.

All of Taylor's dreams about failure and death seemed to come true after Cardia's destruction.

Fortunately, the Eldar said that they could set off immediately, as if those damn aliens were more anxious than him.

But it was clear that Abaddon was more anxious than all of them combined.

When the airdrop pods began to fall again, Abaddon, the bald man, once again led the legion forward.

There was still a bright red wound on his shoulder, which was given to him by the living saint, but even so, he did not want the original body to return.

This time he even sent out heavy Titan mechas. Each of these exaggerated monsters, which were thirty meters tall, staggered forward, while Taylor followed the large force and began to advance towards the webway.

Apparently, Taylor couldn't help but think as Ferenstein approached the giant blue door.

If this thing closed as he walked in, would he be cut in two, or would the webway collapse, allowing countless demons to tumble in here.

He couldn't help but have wild thoughts. After all, walking into a damn area controlled by aliens was a form of suicide.

Fortunately, the living saint took the lead in entering to inspire people, while Abaddon's cannon fodder was another kind of rapid and deadly encouragement.

Go in, being killed by a strange psychic force is better than being blasted to pieces, maybe...

Taylor hesitated, but when a heavy shell hit him from behind, even though he was still quite far away, he hurriedly said, "Speed up!"

He almost bravely entered. The moment he entered the webway, Taylor felt his body turned upside down. Then there was an abnormal amount of oxygen, which was too abundant and made his head a little dizzy.

Obviously, the Eldar have a high demand for oxygen, so the oxygen content in the Webway is very high. However, this feeling only lasted for a short time, and was replaced by the body becoming stronger.

This was also his first time inside an ancient technological artifact. If this place hadn't fallen into disrepair and a subspace leak, it would have been Taylor's greatest joy during this time. He raised his head and looked around anxiously. To be precise, this place was very different from what he had imagined.

This place is very large, much larger than the webway gate. There is almost enough space to accommodate 10 poison blades placed horizontally, and the height is about 60 meters.

Here, Imperial forces were unable to fill its width, and the walls within the webway appeared to be solid and thick white wraithbone constructions.

The light coming from nowhere makes the visibility here quite exaggerated.

Looking ahead at the webway, there is an endless white world. If there were no people walking with Taylor nearby, he would probably go crazy because of the white.

Taylor wasn't sure they could make it to the end, and there weren't a ton of chaotic demons or abominations here, in general.

It's so boring that it makes people silent, like a deserted highway.

Taylor looked at this place, and the Eldar sage said arrogantly again. "Amazing, human."

"This is just a narrow tributary of the Webway. The main channel is large enough to accommodate hundreds of ships simultaneously, and it leads to all parts of the universe, many places you cannot even imagine."

Her words were so arrogant. If Taylor didn't know that the Webway was created by the ancient saints, he might really be intimidated.

Then, some time after they entered the Webway, before the gate was closed, several Daemon Engines and Chaos Space Marines rushed in.

They arrived here and were surrounded by a legion of nearly 40,000 people who were quite hostile to them.

Obviously, Taylor was not very interested in this. He only knew that those guys combined were not enough for the angry imperial soldiers to punch one by one to relieve their boredom.

After Taylor saw the Inquisitor take those guys away, he also offered a moment of silence for those heretics for the first time.

After all, he was a judge.

However, this was just a minor incident. They now moved forward along the webway, and the soldiers were silent, unsure of what their future would hold.

The same goes for Taylor. Now that Cadia has been destroyed and Abaddon has succeeded, he has completed his Black Crusade and experienced countless deaths and wars. The empire seems to have finally come to an end.

He followed the white paths, and by the time they had crossed the ancient roads and reached their destination, several breathless hours had passed.

This period of time was crazy enough, and Taylor also realized for the first time why demons didn't like staying in the subspace.

If everything is repetitive and chaotic, then this world is hell!

And he finally saw his destination, a hollow webway gate structure attached to the side of this huge tunnel.

They could still move forward after crossing it, but the elves obviously didn't want to move forward.

The Eldar opened the gate with strange spells and rituals, and the blue curtain appeared again.

Taylor asked where the destination was, but the Eldar didn't know either. They only knew that they were going to the location of the Primarch, but most of the Webway gates had been damaged by time or destroyed by external forces.

Now, they don't know where this place will end up.

How bad could it get, Taylor thought?
He calmly followed the large group into the webway gate, and what came into view was the gray sky and the burning earth.

There is also a hellish scene composed of countless chaos airdrop pods and death.

In the distance, the U-shaped olive emblem representing Ultramar fluttered on the flag.

But the ruined fortress here tells people that they have just emerged from hell and now they have come to another horrible place.

Perhaps there is no such thing as "safety" in the entire galaxy anymore.
