Dedicate loyalty to the good empire

Chapter 157: Each for His Master, Part 2

Chapter 157: Each for His Master, Part 2
Taylor was watching a tired Space Marine feasting on a meal.

There were many wounds on his armor, which were twisting and wriggling, and growing abnormal granulations.

His spirit seemed haggard and frantic, venting his emotions on the cans of ant bulls that Taylor wouldn't eat.

When he raised his tactical knife, almost brutally killed a flesh-boring worm that jumped out of the can, chewed it into a pulp and spit it out, Taylor deeply doubted whether he had done something wrong.

He should not show mercy to such a madman.

The brothers of Class 15 and the commandos did not trust Dragan, so they pointed their guns at the guy cautiously.

And a Space Marine is already approaching here. After all, the war situation is so urgent that a super soldier can be stationed here for a long time, even if old Tychus shows mercy.

Taylor was a little curious about which Space Marine was sent.

He guessed it was the Ultramarines Sergeant, because he was powerful enough and quite smart.

After all, he was the one who came to subdue the beast. Although Dragan hadn't bared his fangs yet, perhaps it was just because he was injured...

Taylor really hopes that the helper will arrive soon!
Everything happened so quickly, as if they were fighting to the death just a second ago, but now they want to sit down and negotiate peace.

If this man had not helped him once and reminded him of Lucius's existence, Taylor would not have wanted him to stay here.

Finally, looking at Dragan who had put down the jar, Taylor asked, "What's going on? Based on your answer, I'll consider how to deal with you."

His tone was a bit condescending, which was actually quite amusing, a down-and-out Death Guard and an Imperial mortal who had no fear of Chaos, quite interesting.

Even though the power of the saint in the necklace has almost dissipated.

Taylor was still not afraid of this man, even though his arms were like beast fangs and could bite off Taylor's neck in an instant.

Perhaps it was the ancient iron man who provided the courage, or perhaps he truly overcame his cowardice, but whatever the answer, Taylor soon fell into unrest again.

After Dragan had given a brief overview of his story, Taylor asked hesitantly, "The Emperor's Children and the Iron Warriors?"

He now really wanted to ask Rogello if he could release Lucius, and then ask those guys sincerely.

Can they reconcile now?

But this is obviously not reliable, because Lucius's existence is a nightmare. He can easily die and lose the Imperial Guard soldiers or even a Space Marine.

If Taylor has to face Lucius, then he would rather kill the big demon again. At least those things only take his life instead of taking over his body!
He gave up his own idea and turned to Dragan.

"I'm more curious about why you thought of me when you were desperate."

There was a hint of resentment in his words.

Dragan replied. "It's all because of those lunatics. The Iron Warriors are paranoid, the Emperor's Children are obsessed with genitals, and the others?"

He scoffed. "Most of those loyal to Chaos aren't very smart. Frankly, if I had to choose, an intelligent person would be better than a madman. Anyway, they want me dead just as much as you do."

Taylor retorted. "I have no interest in your life!"

"Why is every Chaos traitor so narcissistic?"

He looked at Dragan with disgust, as if to say how stupid this guy was.

Dragan just smiled bitterly, then stood up. After repairing and eating, his armor has now healed.

It sounds strange to describe the armor as healing, but that was the greatest ability their loving father had given him.

Dragan asked again. "Cooperate, or I'll leave."

Scout Leitlin said, "I don't think we can leave."

"A hyena is coming along following the scent."

Taylor took the telescope from her hand and looked at the rustling shadows in the distance of the metal corridor. Those should be scouts, the early units of Space Marines, that is, recruits.

They were smarter than Lucius; at least they didn't trigger his can trap.

Taylor looked at those guys, and then vigilantly asked to strengthen the monitoring of the defense line.

"You bring more than just news." "You also bring hatred..."

Taylor complained. "In a place like this, every battle for a corridor is a bloodbath. You've put my brother and us in danger..."

"But I also know that those guys will not let us go, and you know our enemies inside and out."

Taylor gritted his teeth. "Cooperate."

He felt pessimistic, as he had become accomplices with Chaos time and time again. Although he was not a crazy believer, he also hoped that his soul would be in the hands of the Emperor, rather than on the side of Chaos.

Dragan showed a strange smile, he felt happy from the bottom of his heart.

Maybe he's happy as long as Taylor gets humiliated.

Thinking this way, he actually liked this mortal very much, and even cared about him quite a bit.

Maybe……

Dragan raised his head and looked at the people coming from afar. He cared more about how the next guests would see him than those Chaos brothers.

Deep in the camp, a giant came.

He was wearing silver armor, had brown dreadlocks, and looked at Dragan with disgust.

"Oh my god, where did you pick him up from?" he said, pinching his nose.

Taylor replied. "Who are you to say?" He looked at the wolf's greasy armor, gray fur and intricate chainmail.

His hair also looked greasy and streaked with food, and it looked like he had once again rejected the energy bars offered by the Ultramarines in favor of an inefficient feast.

The people of Fenris are always so unique. Maybe Taylor has something in common with them in this regard?

The wolf held his nose and said, "But this is different. I don't stink that bad."

Taylor replied. "I hope your priest took this into consideration when he greased your armor; it's starting to stink."

Wolf replied with a pout. "You're protecting him? A Chaos traitor?"

Taylor said quickly. "No, I'm just stating the facts."

Dragan simply walked up to the wolf warrior.

"How dare the wildlings from Fenris speak so arrogantly?"

The wolf laughed. "So what if I'm just a lost dog of chaos?"

“Why did your Lord not protect you?”

Dragan remembered Typhon's instructions. "He has protected me once. Now I must protect myself, with my own strength."

He looked at the wolf's fangs without shifting his gaze, and the wolf had always been unrestrained, and he saw a hint of the same in Dragan.

He is also a lone wolf who left the pack.

The Space Wolves warrior gave a smile that was uglier than crying, then tightly grasped Dragan's filthy shoulder armor and spoke in a vicious tone.

"Behave yourself, or I'll kill you!"

He turned around and left, stopping at a certain distance from the mortal camp, and asked the quartermaster for some canned food to eat.

Dragan said. "It seems he hates me."

Taylor replied. "I think this is more like a warning from the wolf king to the wild wolves joining the pack. It's an awkward acceptance."

Dragan asked doubtfully. "How do you know? Wolves have been nearly extinct in this universe for tens of thousands of years."

Taylor just rolled his eyes. He couldn't say he watched it on Animal World, could he?
He didn't answer, but turned around and started to get busy. After all, who knew what they would face next?
Looking at the dim necklace on his chest, Taylor could only pray silently that this matter had nothing to do with the devil.

He hated those things the most.
