Dedicate loyalty to the good empire

Chapter 149 Blackstone Fortress, Part 1

Chapter 149 Blackstone Fortress, Part 1
After the long meeting, Taylor received some hard-earned new information.

First, the Imperium's control over the Void has completely collapsed, and countless Chaos fleets have trampled upon the places held by the loyalists.

Now the entire Cadia sector hangs in the air like an orphan of the Emperor.

Second, a huge signal was flashing on the auspicious instrument, and this information was extremely disturbing.

But even the knowledgeable Imperial Fists captain could not understand where the signal came from.

Finally, Taylor walked out of the meeting room to take a break, but had to face countless interrogation-like questions from the girl Cardia.

For example, what he had done, or how he had defeated his enemies, and whether his unclear relationship with the Chaos Sorcerer was true.

But Taylor was not in the mood. He just threw a note with the general content over and found an excuse to take his robot brother to sit on the deserted wall to pass the time.

On the concrete fortress, the warm wind brushed across my cheeks, the pale moonlight was bright and silent in the sky, and the endless plains had no atmosphere of war at all.

Comfortable? Taylor wanted to say something else, just a bland greeting, but he suddenly looked up and saw a strange sight.

Why are there two moons?

He picked up the telescope and glanced at the giant object hanging high in the sky. It was a dark and terrifying object.

It didn't look like something naturally generated, and it was flickering with an unpleasant purple light.

Soon, he was called to the conference room again.

This uneasiness became more and more intense.

Inside the conference room, the officers of the Imperial Guard looked at the strategic map in silence and timidity.

The captain of the Imperial Fists lowered his head solemnly at this moment, and the air seemed to freeze. When Taylor stepped into the door, the old captain looked up and said.

"Boy, you have to go to the universe with us."

"The current situation cannot be resolved by defense. We must fight back, otherwise the fortress will be blown to the ground."

"I don't know how long the void shield I brought can last, but to be honest, I'm quite pessimistic about it."

Taylor asked. "What's that?"

The old Imperial Fists captain replied, "Blackstone Fortress, a planetary mobile fortress capable of warp jumps..."

"I think they're making short warp jumps from planet to planet, and they're probably approaching Cadia now."

"We are on this route and in a very important place. They will not hesitate to eliminate us. After all, we have shown considerable defensive strength."

"For example, defeating the Iron Warriors."

Taylor nodded, then asked, "But...we go to space?"

The old company commander said seriously, "I'm going to attack it."

Taylor immediately suspected that he was joking, but after thinking carefully, this guy would not joke, so were they really going to attack such a huge fortress?

That thing is as big as the moon and is Abaddon's most precious treasure. How could they possibly destroy it?

Taylor stammered as he tried to say something, but he had already seen several transport planes landing, and old Tychus was already preparing elite troops to board the ship.

Fine, if you want to die, don't look for him...

He was about to sternly refuse, but a violent tremor suddenly appeared. He raised his head and looked outside, only to see countless shells falling like raindrops, hitting the void shield and causing it to flicker continuously.

The principle of the void shield is to guide things into the subspace. Simply put, the attack is thrown into the subspace as garbage. However, the equipment also has a limit to such defense.

The shield gradually dimmed.

The old company commander yelled, "Turn to maximum power!"

The next moment, all the lights in the fort went out, leaving only the lights of the transport planes and the unsettling flicker of enemy shells.

But even so, the fortress was still on the verge of collapse, and Taylor immediately said, "Please take me with you!"

After all, there's basically no difference between having a glimmer of hope and becoming cannon fodder, but having a chance is always better than being killed. However, most people think Taylor said this out of great loyalty.

The Imperial Fists approached him and gave him the finger-knock salute, and the Imperial Guard saluted him, and for a moment, Taylor felt like they were visiting a grave.

Under this inexplicable feeling of disgust, Taylor and his brothers, along with Ferenstein, were stuffed into the transport plane, including the mecha soldiers that were considered Taylor's trophies during this period.

Rogeleau complained. "Mad!"

"Now we have to deal with a fortress?"

"You humans are all crazy!"

"For what, Emperor, loyalty, is it that we're willing to be cannon fodder? I bet we can't even get into the fortress. Do you know how much heavy artillery that thing has?"

"This damn Valsilli transport? What the hell can it do?"

At this moment, Roland got up and punched him in the face, even though his fist had no effect on the robot.

His fist stung and bled, and he cursed. "Iron Man, listen carefully! Our loyalty and sacrifice are the reason why humanity has survived to this day. Your race disappeared into history because you are spineless!"

Roglo cursed. "I have seen countless people grovel before the Iron Man to survive, and I have seen how Chaos has torn apart your 'great' empire."

"And you, with all your empty talk, are blinded by religion and damned education and want us to die!"

Taylor couldn't stand it any longer. "Shut up! Now we have to find a way to survive."

At this moment, the transport ship fell silent, and soon after its plasma engine took them out of the atmosphere, the artificial gravity from the "magic" of the Mechanicus replaced the comfortable gravity of this world.

Roglo seemed to realize he couldn't change the situation, and then he said, "I've been to Blackstone Fortress before, and my processor has a lot of maps of the pipes and passages below."

"I can help you survive, but you have to promise me that when you get there, you'll try to listen to me."

Taylor said, as if relieved. "By the Emperor, this is good news."

"Everyone's fine with that, right? Rather than fighting the damn Chaos to the death, our goal is to stop them from bombing this world."

The brothers of Class 15 remained silent, which was considered as their agreement. Soon, the transport ship began to accelerate, and Taylor prayed silently.

After all, no one knew whether they would be shot down by close-in defense guns, but after several intense maneuvers that made people want to vomit, the ship began to get out of control.

The female driver's voice came over the loudspeaker. "Failure! Get in the car. I'll charge the fortress. What happens next depends on fate..."

"It is an honor to be with you on this last ride, Master Taylor."

Taylor quickly led his brothers into the car and saluted the driver. He felt that the voice was very familiar, but he couldn't remember it for a moment.

When the violent collision came as expected, the violent explosion and high temperature, impact and vibration almost killed Taylor and the others.

As they stumbled out of the ruins of Frenstein, ignoring the uneasiness brought by the endless void behind the vehicle and the dark interior of the fortress in front.

Taylor saw the driver's remains.

It was the girl in the naval base who used to chat and laugh with him.

Now her body was burnt and the pressure suit on her body was torn. If it weren't for her beautiful brown hair, he really wouldn't be able to recognize her.

Now he wouldn't say that she was overpaid...

It was cruel, may the Emperor have mercy on her soul.

He gave the Eagle salute to the girl's broken body.

He mustered up his courage, looked at the dark and deep tunnel ahead and said, "Move forward quickly, brothers."

"To Hell!"

When will Starfighter 2 be playable?
