Chapter 492 Wu Xian: I want to take on ten of them!

A jet-black spaceship slowly descended from the azure sky above the metropolis.

The hatch opened, and several figures emerged. The leader wore a black cloak, and his armored body was robust and upright, exuding a powerful aura that was clearly visible.

General Zod, the highest military commander of Krypton, led the Kryptonian army to victory after victory in battle.

But since the destruction of Krypton, he and his warriors have become interstellar exiles, exploring the universe for many years in an attempt to find the whereabouts of the Codex of Life in order to rebuild a new Krypton.

He had assumed that the Codex of Life would be placed into his son's body by his nemesis, Jorel, but that was not the case. Therefore, Kara Zorel, who was also sent out of Krypton, was the only possibility.

Finally, twenty years ago, Zod identified the source of the signal emitted by the escape pod where Kara Zo El was located. It was twenty light-years away from him, and given his circumstances at the time, it would have taken him an extremely long time to reach it.

But the Codex of Life was related to Krypton's rebirth, and Zod could not give it up. So he spent several years plundering the colony's equipment and technology, and even took away two World Engines—instruments that Krypton used to modify the planetary ecosystem, which could transform any planet into an environment suitable for the Kryptonians to reproduce.

Now, Zod has finally arrived at his destination, Earth, and not long after, the girl from the El family approached him.

Naturally, a battle broke out between them. The girl's strength exceeded her expectations, her physical abilities surpassed those of many elite warriors, and she seemed to have awakened many special abilities due to the yellow sun.

Unfortunately, her combat skills are too poor, so defeating her is not difficult; Fiona alone could handle her.

Just when Zod thought everything was foolproof, an unexpected incident occurred as he was about to extract the Codex of Life from her cells.

A strange halo appeared out of thin air, and then the girl from the El family fell into it, disappearing right before their eyes as if by magic.

The Codex of Life, which had been within his grasp, had simply vanished. General Zod was naturally furious and immediately ordered his men to search for Kara Zo'el, but to no avail.

Left with no other option, Zod unleashed his fury on Earth. In less than an hour, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and other important economic cities of Amelica were reduced to ruins. Countless Amelica soldiers died in the explosions and fires, plunging the entire world into panic.

"What a beautiful planet..."

As he said this, Zod opened the transparent visor of his helmet and began breathing in Earth's air directly, which made him feel slightly uncomfortable.

But soon, as Zod was directly exposed to the yellow sun, he felt the cells in his body begin to activate. This discomfort quickly subsided, and an endless stream of power surged forth, flowing through his entire body, making him visibly stronger.

Like Kara, the superpowers of a Kryptonian awakened in him one by one, and he adapted and mastered them much faster than Kara, which made people marvel:
"So that's why you chose Earth, Jor-El. With such power, Krypton can surely regain its former glory."

"But Joe, you chose such a beautiful planet for your son and niece as their new home, but have you thought about the rest of us?"

Zod muttered, his fists clenched so tightly that the sturdy power armor creaked and groaned.

Unforgivable! He cannot forgive such selfish behavior!
“General, we have taken control of the planet’s network system and all the nuclear weapons are under control, but we still haven’t been able to find Kara Zo El.”

Beside Zod, the tall Kryptonian warrior Fiona stood by, offering a stern reminder, though her eyes gleamed with eager anticipation.

"Is that so... In that case, there's no need to wait any longer. Activate the World Engine immediately. Today is the day of the rebirth of the new Krypton."

Zod said calmly, and was about to turn back to the cabin when a strange man's mocking voice sounded behind him.

"Sorry, this planet is already under my control. You can rebuild your Krypton in Hell."

Upon hearing this, Zod turned around abruptly and saw the sparkling circle he had glimpsed earlier reappear. A young man in a white t-shirt and capri pants stepped out, followed by a tall figure in red and blue—it was Kara Zor El, the one they were searching for. However, upon seeing her, Zod showed no joy. Instead, he looked at Wu Xian warily, and the other Kryptonian warriors around him also appeared on high alert.

"Oh! You know me?"

Wu Xian was somewhat surprised, but after reading his thoughts for a moment, he suddenly realized.

Since the Kryptonians were able to infiltrate Earth's network, they would naturally search for military intelligence from various countries as part of their pre-battle analysis. They also made no attempt to conceal what they had done in the Arctic Circle, so it's not surprising that the Kryptonians knew about it.

“I know you, Emilia’s army soldier, Ion Kavis. You gained your current power after undergoing gene modification surgery on Kara Zor El. In a way, you are also half Kryptonian.”

Zod looked at Wu Xian and, recalling his exaggerated destructive power in the video, chose to negotiate in a slightly gentler manner.

"You have suffered greatly because of the cruel human experiments. Earthlings treated you this way, and I believe you have no good feelings towards them either. Why not cooperate with us to rebuild Krypton? You will be a hero to the Kryptonians. There is no need for you to be our enemy."

"It sounds great. It seems like I can share this planet with you without doing anything. It's a sure-fire deal."

Wu Xian's lips curled into a smile, and then, to the astonishment of Zod and the others, he reached out and pulled the cold-faced Kara into his arms, kissed her cheek, and said with a smile:

"But unfortunately, I always keep my promises. I just promised Kara that I would send all of you to hell. Since that's the case, I'll just have to make you suffer this once."

"Then go to die!"

Zod's expression darkened, and his decisive and ruthless nature instantly came online. Although he was wary of Wu Xian's strength, he was not afraid of him.

Not to mention that he has already sunbathed and is in a state of extreme mental elation, thinking about testing his suddenly increased power. Naturally, he has no fear of a mere Earthling who has been genetically modified by Krypton.

With a whoosh, Zod flew out, gathering enough power to shake the Earth's tectonic plates in his right fist, and slammed it hard towards Wu Xian's head, wanting to severely injure his opponent immediately and gain an absolute advantage.

The excessively distorted image created by the speed exceeding reason formed a series of blurry colors in Zod's eyes.

A few seconds later, accompanied by a distant rumbling sound of the earth shaking, the Kryptonian on the other side finally reacted, looking at Wu Xian who had already retracted his foot. Wu Xian then hooked his left index finger and grinned:
