Chapter 471 The Whole Family is Together (Seeking monthly votes! Seeking follow-up subscriptions!)
"Put down your weapons and stop resisting immediately."

The Gravity Mech standing in the center position opened its face shield, revealing a serious-looking middle-aged man—Victor, the Hunter's adjutant.

Of course, despite his seemingly tough appearance, he's actually incredibly flustered inside.

There was no other way. He had witnessed the strength of the Abyss One himself back then. It killed a giant double-jawed beast almost effortlessly, taking only a few seconds. Even if all of his gravity-body mechs were deployed, they probably wouldn't be enough to defeat the opponent with one hand.

Even so, Victor could not sit idly by and wait for his doom, because behind him was the Lighthouse and humanity's last hope, and he could not stand by and watch them be destroyed before his eyes.

"Victor! Don't do anything foolish. Surrender now, and it's not too late!"

Honglu immediately spoke up to dissuade her, clearly not wanting to see her teacher's friend, who was also practically an elder, die such a tragic death.

Unfortunately, Honglu was a beat too slow. The moment she finished speaking, Wu Xian had already transformed into a streak of blue light and shot out.

The hunters, true to their reputation as the Lighthouse's most elite warriors, immediately pulled the trigger as soon as they sensed something was wrong, sweeping the afterimage in the air.

However, Wu Xian's speed was incredibly fast. Amidst the continuous sonic booms, the blue light and shadow spread in all directions, weaving into a large blue net that instantly enveloped all the gravity-body mechs.

Sizzle!! Plop!! Splash—!!

Soon, the sounds of steel tearing through flesh and blood rang out one after another. All the pilots of the gravity body mechs lost their lives in the process of unleashing bullets. Their bodies, along with their mechs, were torn to pieces like insects being dismembered by invisible blades, and a rain of blood fell in mid-air.

Everyone stared blankly at the scene. The silver figure bathed in blood seemed to be the embodiment of a demon. Just looking at it made them feel a chill run from the soles of their feet to the top of their heads, and their bodies trembled slightly uncontrollably.

"I heard that your arm was cut off because you left behind the Abyss."

With one hand, he grabbed Victor by the neck and pulled him out of the shattered gravity body. Then, the Abyssman's mask opened, and Wu Xian looked at the man with great interest, his eyes filled with amusement.

"I'll give you a chance to live because of your bravery just now. As long as you bring Morgan's head to me, you will be the lord of the Lighthouse from now on."

"Ha!!"

Victor's face was flushed, seemingly due to suffocation and lack of oxygen, but upon hearing this, he mustered his last strength and spat out a mouthful of saliva at Wu Xian, thus giving his own answer.

"Yes, it's a good dog, but it's a pity it has the wrong owner."

Using his mental power, Wu Xian blocked the saliva and returned it to its rightful owner. Seeing Victor's disgusted expression, Wu Xian grinned, casually tossed him away, and then his figure transformed into blue light again, flying towards the upper level of the lighthouse.

Meanwhile, in a secluded safe house, Morgan held his tense son Charles and adopted daughter Jingnan, gently comforting them. Beside him stood his wife Mayweather, who had been forcibly brought back from the brain-linking laboratory by the Lighthouse soldiers.

"Morgan, what exactly is going on?"

Originally furious, Meiwei refrained from venting her anger on her husband, who had already disappointed her to the core, because her son and adopted daughter were there. Instead, she lowered her voice and asked him the reason.

Clearly, she was unaware that the Abyss Walkers had been activated, and she simply interpreted the continuous alarms as a reaction to the Hunters suppressing the populace.

Morgan sighed softly, looking weary, and said, "The Abyss has been activated."

"The One Who Stands on the Edge?!"

Upon hearing this, May was slightly taken aback and subconsciously asked, "Carrie succeeded?"

"Perhaps. At least right now, the person piloting the Abyss is clearing out the Hunter soldiers on the lighthouses. All those who resisted him are dead." Morgan said calmly. In his description, the person piloting the Abyss was a ruthless executioner, reaping the lives of the Hunters. He made no mention of his previous order to eliminate all those who resisted the three laws. The main point was a double standard and a fallacy of equivocation.

I can shamelessly launch a sneak attack and wipe you all out, but how can you imitate me?

In short, it's your fault!

"What……"

As expected, after hearing Morgan's description of the finishing process, Mayway's face immediately showed shock and anger.

It's true that she opposes the Three Laws, but that doesn't mean she wants to see those who see the Lighthouse kill each other. After all, many of the Hunters are her friends, so how can she accept them being slaughtered at will by the Abyss?

"What about Elon and Victor? Did they go to stop the Abyss?"

Meiwei quickly asked, a sense of worry rising in her heart.

"I can't get in touch with Elon, so I'm afraid he's probably dead. As for Victor, he's currently leading all the gravity beings in preparation for an attack on the Abyss. Hopefully, there will be good news."

"Can it succeed? The combat power of the Abyss Walkers..."

Although Meiwei had never witnessed the battle of the Abyss Walkers in person, she had seen videos of them. The massive, mountain-like double-jawed beasts did not last more than a few seconds against them, demonstrating just the tip of the iceberg of their terrifying power.

"I do not know either."

Morgan felt a bitter taste in his mouth, but outwardly he forced himself to stand up and said:

"But don't worry too much. Your father once conducted human experiments on the Abyss. Ordinary people can indeed activate the Abyss, but they have to use their own life force as fuel. As long as Victor adopts guerrilla tactics and tries to delay the time, it may not be long before the pilot dies from exhaustion."

Upon hearing this, May suddenly realized: "So that's why you don't allow Carrie to conduct human experiments."

Morgan remained silent, taking it as tacit agreement. Just as he was wondering whether to contact Victor to confirm the situation outside, a rumbling sound came from outside the safe house.

His heart tightened suddenly, and he instinctively pulled Meiwei to his side.

Immediately afterwards, a loud bang suddenly erupted, and the alloy door, which was thick enough to withstand armor-piercing bullets and half a meter thick, was pierced through by a silver arm. Then, the arm swept outwards lightly, and the alloy door crumbled like tofu.

Finally, the powerful figure of the Abyssman floated into the safe house, the eye area on his visor flashing with a deep blue light, radiating a terrifying pressure that made people suffocate.

"Hehe, everyone's here. It really is a complete family."

A dull thud sounded, and the Abyss Walker's visor opened to the sides. Wu Xian looked at the Morgan family, his eyes full of mockery:
"How interesting. The three laws promulgated by the city lord are meant to abolish all family relationships, so why are your wife and children still by your side? Is this what they call double standards?"

Morgan trembled, but his instincts as a husband and father compelled him to move, standing in front of May and their two children. He straightened his back, looked at the figure that resembled a silver demon, and said in a deep voice:

"I set the Three Laws, and they have nothing to do with me. If you have any problems, come at me."
