War Military: From 1978

Chapter 156: Capture the enemy’s high ground without any damage!

Chapter 156: Capture the enemy’s high ground without any damage!
"what's the situation?"

"Captain, I can't get through."

In Ban J Town, the town closest to 312, as soon as the three bundles of grenades exploded, the noise was actually heard over there.

Immediately, the defenders in the town wanted to contact the high ground to confirm the situation.

But to their surprise, their communication fell on deaf ears.

The Vietnamese defenders on this high ground never thought about what the Flower Planters could do to them in the middle without breaking through the T and J sections.
Therefore, according to the rules, there should be an 884 communication radio at the duty station on the top of the mountain. However, they disliked the radio because it would often malfunction due to moisture, so they just threw it into the cave.

It would be easier if you put it next to the fire inside to keep it dry.

The radio and batteries will not be affected by moisture, so there will naturally be no problems.

They never thought that their three holes located in different positions on the high ground would all be destroyed in an instant.

Of course, it doesn’t really matter now.

Since they couldn't get in touch here, the defenders of Ban J naturally knew that something was wrong.

So soon, Class J began to gather troops and ran towards Hill 312.

At the same time, Chu An and others set up some booby traps and mines taken out from the cave along the route they took to go up the mountain.

Chu An gathered the three people who ran out of the cave below. A total of ten people continued to set booby traps and landmines along the route marked by Luo Yun and others, and finally met up with Luo Yun and others in the cave at the top.

The smell of blood filled the air in the fog.

Gunshots rang out from time to time above our heads.

The Vietnamese devils on the top of the mountain were frightened and were firing randomly at the people below.

According to the prisoner, the position on Hill 312 was always guarded by a local armed shift, while the sentries around the hill and the base were staffed by militia.

Normally, those local armed Vietnamese soldiers were stationed directly in the cave attacked by Chu An, while the militia were in the cave below, as for the one attacked by Luo Yun.

The cave is only seven or eight meters deep, and is located only twenty meters above the top of the high ground.

This location is where the Vietnamese soldiers on duty on top of the hill take a break and the medical staff stay.

For example, right now, there are only six bodies here.

In other words, the class on the high ground is definitely less than five people.

This is definitely good news. An understaffed squad with only a few people will definitely not be able to resist Chu An and others even if they have perfect defensive fortifications.

"Let's go and take down the position on the top of the mountain!"

Chu An gave the order.

There are sixteen people here at Chuan now.

At the foot of the mountain, the scouts who replaced the two Vietnamese sentries did not come up, and even now they had switched positions.

They were going to the west to keep an eye on the enemy reinforcements coming from the direction of Ban J.

"Pah, bang!"

The battle on the high ground soon began.

A dozen or so scouts who had experienced war fought against a few panicked Vietnamese devils.

They have absolutely no resistance.

After getting close, Chu An and the others threw a round of grenades randomly, and then they scattered and rushed to the high ground.

On the spot, two of these Vietnamese devils raised their hands and surrendered.

There were two others who might have wanted to surrender, but Chu An and his men moved too quickly and charged forward without any hesitation. Before they could make the decision to surrender, they were sent away by the scouts who rushed up.

"What the hell, it's our heavy machine gun again!"

On the position, after everyone quickly cleaned up the battlefield, they discovered that the high-altitude machine guns set up on the east and west sides of the position were actually our Type 54 anti-aircraft machine guns.

Chu An took a look but said nothing.

I'm so angry. A lot of the food, clothing, weapons and equipment of the Vietnamese devils are ours.

Even the weapons used by the local armed platoons and militia in this area are basically Type 56 and Type 63 rifles.

In our own army, infantry can only use the five-six-and-a-half rifle, and only the squad leader and deputy squad leader can be equipped with the five-six assault rifle, but now all the militiamen are carrying it.

What can you say?

"What the hell, Platoon Leader, I found something good!"

Suddenly, someone screamed.

Chu An ran over following the sound.

At a glance, Chu An saw something mounted on the ground in the northwest direction of the position.

It looks like a cannon, but it's very small, and it's placed here with its front end facing down towards the road below.

Chu An is not a military encyclopedia, and he doesn't recognize this weapon.

"It seems to be what I just found in the supply warehouse!" The deputy of the third squad spoke.

"Why don't we just ask these two guys?" Someone also spoke directly to the two surrendered Vietnamese devils.

But it was obvious that they didn't understand Mandarin. Chu An looked at them and asked in Vietnamese.

Soon, the answer came out.

The Soviet revisionist "Sager" anti-tank missile.

Our army doesn’t have this thing at all now, at least Chu An has never seen it in the army.

"What good stuff! I think there are a lot of them in the supply warehouse downstairs. Our seizure this time will definitely be another great achievement!" The third squad leader grinned.

Chu An also laughed.

In this battle, we took the high ground without any loss and seized a lot of supplies.

Whether the anti-tank missiles are a great achievement is another matter, but the food and ammunition inside are what Chu An likes most.

Of course, he is not getting carried away now.

"Alright, take them both away, Squad Leader!"

"Here!" Luo Yun responded!
"Your squad will hold the high ground, and the rest of you will follow me down!"

This place is still shrouded in fog.

Looking down from the top of the mountain, visibility is still only 20 to 30 meters.

There is no point in guarding the top of the mountain at this visual distance.

So, leave a few people to occupy the top of the mountain, and the rest of the people go down the mountain first.

The correct approach is to take advantage of the terrain, occupy a favorable position, and intercept the Vietnamese devils.

They fought step by step until the fog cleared and the large force of the Second Battalion arrived from the rear.

"Yes!"

Luo Yun responded, and the others also took the prisoners downstairs.

These two prisoners, including the one who still remains in the cave below, are still useful now.

Continue to let them lead the way, and then according to their guidance, plant some mines in some places on the mountain where there are no mines.

At the same time, the three RPD light machine guns of the Vietnamese on the top of the mountain were also taken down.

It is worth mentioning that when Chu An and others went down, they did not find the so-called Vietnamese Japanese sentries at all.

Chu An guessed that it was very likely that he had already run down the mountain.

"Platoon leader, here they come, about two hundred of them, half in uniform, half not!"

Suddenly, Chu An heard the voice of a scout on guard at the foot of the mountain through his earphones.

"Alright! Go around to the north and prepare to meet the main force!"

Chu An replied immediately.

They were not allowed to go up the mountain.

The high ground was covered with minefields. There was originally a marked route leading up, but that route had also been set with mines and traps.

So it was safest for them to stay at the foot of the mountain.

After ending the communication, Chu An started loading bullets again.

On the side, you can see some rusty bullets scattered on the ground.

Although many of the Japanese here are using our Type 56 submachine guns and Type 63 submachine guns, they are not using our bullets.

Chu An and others had just cleaned up the battlefield. They had taken away the magazines carried by the Vietnamese devils, but a fierce battle was about to happen, so everyone not only took away their magazines, but also took out their own magazines, then took out the bullets inside, and then loaded them with bullets provided to the Vietnamese devils by the Soviet revisionists from the supply cave.

Although I don't want to admit it, I have to say now that the Soviet revisionists' bullets are much better than ours.

Our bullets are prone to rusting in the hot and humid environment of Chaoshan, but the bullets that the Soviet revisionists gave to the Vietnamese devils are still bright yellow, without a trace of rust.

Moreover, it’s not just the rust color of the bullet that matters, but also the size and accuracy of the bullet.

If we use more sophisticated equipment to measure our current bullets, we will find that the sizes of all bullets are not exactly the same.

Including the warhead data, there are deviations.

Even some bullets can be seen to be different with the naked eye.

This is due to the limitations of our current industrial capabilities.

This situation will also cause the bullet to have a larger ballistic dispersion after being fired in actual combat, and its accuracy will not be as high as that of the Japanese.

Of course, given that our army currently does not care about long-range precision shooting, this situation actually has little impact.

If accuracy is not enough, firepower can be used to make up for it. Light and heavy machine guns can sweep over, and accuracy does not really matter.

What's more, our army currently has no guns with scopes, and the visual distance itself is limited, so it is useless to have such high accuracy.

However, apart from the accuracy issue, the fact that it is prone to rusting when exposed to moisture is a fatal flaw. For example, before, Chu An was shooting and suddenly the gun jammed. If Chu An only had one gun, his firepower would be silenced.

Therefore, while there is still some time, we must replace all the bullets we carry with those given to the Vietnamese devils by the Soviet revisionists.
