The strongest dream therapist
Chapter 3 A Brief Dream
Chapter 3 A Brief Dream
"Sister Fu, I'm still busy. Let's go eat together!"
The door was not closed, and a colleague passing by knocked on her open door with his fingers.
Fu Yuan looked up. It was a young, elegant male doctor in his early twenties, wearing gold-rimmed glasses and with two dimples at the corners of his mouth when he smiled. She searched in her mind and found that he seemed to have just joined the company last week. He was said to be a junior intern from the same university as hers, and he would come here on weekdays when he didn't have classes.
She thought about this junior student for a moment, but couldn't recall his name. She lowered her gaze slightly, saw the name "Qi Heng" on his work badge, and then she said, "Doctor Qi, you're just in time."
As Qi Heng walked in, Fu Yuan smelled the faint scent of disinfectant on him, the same faint smell as on the mother and daughter this morning.
"You just came out of the treatment room?"
Fu Yuan looked at him and asked suddenly.
Interns generally do not enter treatment rooms, but do menial tasks such as caring for patients.
Qi Heng shook his head and smiled, saying, "A patient in Ward 204, Building A, suddenly vomited acutely. I assisted the doctor in injecting him with diazepam and glucose-sodium chloride solution, but I never went to the treatment room. Later, I was afraid of cross infection, so I just mopped the floor when I heard the bell ring."
Mopping the floor may pick up the smell of disinfectant.
"That's what the cleaners do." Fu Yuan stared into his eyes, sighed, and stopped talking to him. Instead, he squatted down and opened the snack gift bag. "Take a look. Is there anything you like here?"
The little angel Qi Heng also squatted down and unpacked it while screaming like a groundhog: "Sister, this air-dried beef is so expensive. It's a new product this year, and a 500g bag costs 99.9 yuan. I wanted to buy it but never could, hoping to buy it during the Double Eleven shopping festival."
After a while, he shouted again, like a big-tailed squirrel that found pine nuts in the snow: "This prune! I've always loved their prunes, but they're always sold out. How could you buy one?"
Fu Yuan was annoyed by his fussing and waved his hand to signal him to stop shouting.
"These are gifts from the patient's family. I can't finish them all. Pick out some you like and share the rest."
Seeing his delighted expression, she pursed her lips and gave him a few more instructions, "Pick a little more, it's okay if you take it all."
Qi Heng uttered an "Huh?" in disbelief, then stood up and weighed the whole thing, his face hesitant. "Sister, this is estimated to be more than 30 or 40 kilograms. Even though it's not much, it will cost at least several thousand dollars if you buy it. It's almost the New Year, you can save it for New Year's goods."
The "ocean" he mentioned was actually "yuan". Young people always like to say some seemingly plausible and ancient words.
But Fu Yuan didn't want to see these things at this moment. She was not short of money and she had stockpiled some snacks. Seeing this would only remind her of her heavy responsibility.
There was a hint of impatience in her tone, and she said stiffly, "I don't have much of an appetite today. Come and take it away after you finish your meal."
Qi Heng seemed unaware of her temper and said with a smile, "Sister, I'm going to eat. I'll bring you whatever you want to eat."
Fu Yuan said "No thanks", then folded his hands and lay on the table, his intention to drive the customer away was obvious.
Colleagues formed groups of three or five and headed for the cafeteria. She could vaguely hear some of them discussing her merits and demerits. They were all saying she had backdoor access, privileges, and now there was another intern giving her orders.
They thought they were speaking quietly, but in fact Fu Yuan had extremely sharp hearing and their words had already entered her ears.
.
"Stand still! Keep your head naturally straight, chin slightly tucked in, neck muscles relaxed, chest up and stomach in, legs together...don't hunch! I'm talking to you!"
A male instructor in army green, holding a meter-long whip, lashed a male student a few centimeters in front of his shoe. The whip landed on the ground, leaving a conspicuous white mark. Fu Yuan was already familiar with dreaming. She turned her head and saw the familiar surroundings. This time, the dream was set in her alma mater, with military training as the backdrop.
The instructor saw her looking around and yelled at her impatiently, "Who are you? Senior students are not allowed to enter here during military training."
She wasn't wearing military training clothes, and the instructor didn't recognize her as a freshman.
Fu Yuan ignored him.
The sun in her dream seemed to have done some real harm, burning people with pain. She looked at the students below the platform, and one of them stood out.
He was a little fat man wearing thick black-framed glasses. His bloodless lips were trembling uncontrollably and his face was as pale as paper. Beads of sweat the size of beans fell to the ground, forming a puddle of water.
Just one look and you can tell he has reached his limit, and it would take immense perseverance to hold on for even one more second.
This should be the dreamer this time. As long as she can get him out of trouble, the dream will naturally break up, or if she changes to a relatively mild environment, she will also have better sleep quality.
Thinking of this, she looked at the instructor coldly. With a stern face, she pointed vaguely at the chubby boy in the crowd and said, "I'm a staff member in the infirmary. I've received a report that the instructor is disregarding the students' physical conditions and recklessly increasing the intensity of the training. Now I need to take this student away. His body has reached its limit."
When the little fat boy heard her words, he still didn't dare to move and remained stiff, but his eyes seemed to be about to pop out and he kept asking for help from Fu Yuan.
Fu Yuan smiled at him and told him to relax.
The instructor narrowed his eyes fiercely and didn't believe her directly. "How do you prove that you are from the infirmary and not here to cause trouble?"
He completely ignored the second half.
Fu Yuan silently groped in his pocket and handed him a square card.
Fu Yuan seemed to be unhappy with his suspicion. He said in a very stiff tone: "This is my work badge. If you don't believe me, you can go to the infirmary and ask."
The instructor took her card and scanned it, a look of disbelief on his face. Then his face twisted and dark energy surged.
Fu Yuan looked at this scene without fear. He simply changed his tone and advised, "I know the instructor is doing this for their own good. Many children nowadays don't pay attention to their physical exercise, but this child has reached his limit and needs a break. There's an old saying - haste makes waste."
As if thinking about her words, the instructor's face showed contemplation, the darkness gradually stopped surging, and the distorted face gradually returned to normal.
He opened his mouth, his voice a little hoarse, like an old machine running at high load: "Okay, but only for a little while."
.
At 13:21, Fu Yuan woke up and realized that he had slept on his stomach for about forty minutes. The second half was a rare good dream.
At this moment, her arms were numb from being pressed, and as she stretched, the black windbreaker that had appeared on her body out of nowhere slid to the ground.
She leaned sideways to pick up the windbreaker, brushed off the invisible dust on it, and put it on the sofa.
She saw a box of mousse cake on the table where she had just fallen asleep. Judging from the packaging, it was from the shop she often went to in college, and the taste was also suitable. There was a piece of paper under the cake. The handwriting on the paper was beautiful and elegant, revealing a hint of the scent of ink from books.
