Chapter 203 Going Home
"Are you in such a hurry?"

"Yes, I'm eager to marry you." Lu Zhiyan kissed Nan Xu's forehead.

Time flies, and two weeks have passed quickly.

Nanxu finally finished her work in Beicheng, and she could take Guai Guai back to the capital that afternoon.

"Ah Xu, when are you planning to go back to the capital? My aunt called me again yesterday to ask about it." Lu Zhiruo, dressed in a red theatrical costume, adorned with gold and silver jewels, walked over and sat down next to Nan Xu.

At five o'clock in the afternoon, Nan Xu arrived in the capital. She went to Shi Yuening's house first to give him the things before going home.

Aunt Li paused while wiping the table when she heard the car turn off. It was only five o'clock; the young master wouldn't be back so early.

She opened the door, and Nanxu took the suitcase out of the trunk. When she saw Aunt Li, she quickly called out to her, "Aunt Li, come and help me."

After thinking for a moment, Nan Xu said, "No, I'll come back after dinner." Then she closed the trunk.

Seeing that Nanxu hadn't taken Guaiguai out of the car, Xiao Chen couldn't help but ask, "Madam, is Guaiguai going too?"

"Yes, my mom also wants to see Guai Guai, so I'll bring it along too."

Half an hour later, Nan Xu arrived at the Lin family's house, where Lin Jing Shu was already looking out from the French windows.

Today is the day Nanxu returns to the capital from the north. It has been two weeks since we last met on New Year's Day, and I am so homesick.

"Madam said she'll be back after dinner. She told me not to let you pick her up, young master, as she drove herself," Aunt Li replied.

It was already past eight o'clock when Nanxu returned from the Lin family. Nanxu held Guai Guai and pushed open the bedroom door.

Lu Zhiyan had already washed up and was sitting on the sofa in a bathrobe with his laptop on his lap.

Hearing the door open, Lu Zhiyan didn't look up, his tone devoid of emotion, "You're back?"

Nanxu put down the baby and reached out to take off her earring, giving a soft "hmm".

Nanxu placed the earrings on the table, took her change of clothes, and went to wash up.

The two did not exchange a single word during that time.

They weren't as reluctant to part as Lu Zhiyan had imagined, nor did they experience the joy, excitement, and exhilaration of seeing each other after a long separation.

It's as ordinary as any other day.

Looking at the closed bathroom door, Lu Zhiyan felt a moment of disappointment, but he quickly came to terms with it.

They've been together for five months, spending every day together. Perhaps the passion between lovers has long since faded into the mundane routine of daily life.

Half an hour later, Nan Xu came out of the bathroom drying her hair. When Lu Zhiyan saw her, he put his laptop on the table.

"Let me help you." Lu Zhiyan got up to help Nan Xu blow-dry her hair.

Nan Xu nodded and handed the hair dryer in her hand to Lu Zhiyan.

As he stroked Nanxu's soft hair, Lu Zhiyan's thoughts wandered off somewhere else.

"What are you thinking about?" Nan Xu suddenly asked.

Lu Zhiyan snapped out of his reverie and said in a nonchalant tone, "Ah, I wasn't thinking about anything?"

"You haven't thought about anything yet? Look where you've dragged my clothes!" Nan Xu gritted her teeth, rolled her eyes, and was furious.

Lu Zhiyan looked down and saw that Nan Xu's bathrobe had been pulled down from her shoulder at some point.

He glanced guiltily at Nan Xu, silently pulled her bathrobe up for her, and touched his nose, saying, "Sorry."

Nan Xu straightened her bathrobe, tidied her hair behind her ears, and draped it over her shoulders. "What are you thinking about? You seemed so lost in thought. Didn't you hear me calling you?"

"You called me?" Lu Zhiyan was momentarily dazed. "Why did you call me?"
