Chapter 157 Lazy Nanxu

Lu Zhiyan's massage technique was excellent; after a while, Nanxu's pain subsided considerably.

"Go cook, I'm hungry." Nan Xu leaned back leisurely on the pillow, her tone energetic.

Lu Zhiyan raised an eyebrow. "Are you treating me like a babysitter?"

Nan Xu shot Lu Zhiyan a sharp look, and he immediately fell silent. "I understand. What do you want to eat?"

"Shrimp dumplings, shumai, congee with preserved egg and lean pork, that's all, go cook." Nan Xu waved her hand, picked up her phone from the table, and continued watching TV.

"Dr. Lin, are you busy right now? A patient has made an appointment with Director Liu, but Director Liu is in surgery. Do you think we could transfer the patient to you first?"
Lin Jianshen paused in taking off his mask, then put it back on. "Let him in."

He pinched the bridge of his nose, sat back down in the chair, and soon came in.

"What symptoms?"

"My arm is injured." The girl's eyes were slightly red, and her voice was gentle and soft, with a slight sob.

Arm injury?

"Which arm? Show me." Lin Jianshen pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses.

The girl rolled up her sleeve, revealing her fair forearm, on which was a shallow scar less than three centimeters long.

Lin Jianshen thought he had misread the image because he had stayed up too late, so he rubbed his eyes and looked at it again.

It's confirmed to be a small wound less than three centimeters long.

"Yuxin, come in here for a moment." Lin Jianshen called out to the door in an annoyed tone.

As soon as he finished speaking, a young nurse ran in.

"Dr. Lin, you wanted to see me?"

Lin Jianshen pointed to the scars on the girl's forearm and said, "You have to see Director Liu for a scar that doesn't even need stitches? No wonder Director Liu's appointments are always full. You guys should torture him to death."

Zhang Yuxin glanced in the direction Lin Jianshen was pointing and then squeezed her eyes shut.

What could she do? Some people have too much money to burn and insist on seeing specialists.

"Well, Dr. Lin, you're busy. I'll take her out to handle this."

Lin Jianshen glanced at the girl in front of him and couldn't help but sigh, "Go ahead."

The girl let Zhang Yuxin pull her out. When they reached the door, she turned back and glanced at Lin Jianshen.

However, Lin Jianshen didn't notice that he took off his mask and threw it in the trash can, then got up, took off his white coat and hung it on the hanger, then picked up his black coat from the hanger and walked out.

"Dr. Lin, are you off work?" A nurse passing by greeted Lin Jianshen with a smile.

"Hmm." He nodded slightly in acknowledgment.

"Hey, Jian Shen, how about we switch shifts tomorrow? I want to go see my goddess's concert." Shao Yuning called out to Lin Jian Shen and shoved the coffee he was holding into Lin Jian Shen's hand.

Lin Jianshen looked at the coffee in his hand and chuckled, "No, I have an appointment for tomorrow."

"You made an appointment? Who is it? Is your eternal iron tree finally blooming?" Shao Yuning teased with a smile.

"Well, it's not convenient to talk about that. I'll accept the coffee." He waved the coffee in his hand.

The girl who had just left came out from around the corner, and a look of sadness flashed in her eyes as she watched Lin Jianshen's departing figure.

"A-Ning, come down for dinner." Lu Zhiyan stood by the bed and looked at Nan Xu, who was still lazing in bed.

Upon hearing this, Nanxu slowly lifted the covers and got out of bed.

Seeing Nan Xu's slow pace, Lu Zhiyan couldn't help but urge her, "It's already 7:20, hurry up and stop dawdling."

"Oh," Nan Xu replied lazily. Twenty minutes later, Nan Xu finally arrived at the restaurant; breakfast was already a bit cold.

After serving Nanxu porridge, Lu Zhiyan immediately pulled out a chair for her. "Eat quickly! You're always the slowest one around, slow at everything."

Lu Zhiyan now resembled the headmaster of students in school, but Nan Xu paid no attention and leisurely drank her porridge.

Fifteen minutes later, urged by Lu Zhiyan, Nan Xu finally finished her breakfast. There wasn't even time to clear the dishes, so Lu Zhiyan put them in the sink to wait for the housekeeper to wash them.

Nan Xu sat on the sofa in the entryway waiting, while Lu Zhiyan hurried upstairs to get his suitcase.

They set off ten minutes later, but fortunately, the airport wasn't far away, and they arrived there in half an hour.

After checking in their luggage, the two of them boarded the plane directly.

As soon as she boarded the plane, Nan Xu felt sleepy and fell asleep leaning on Lu Zhiyan's shoulder.

Three hours later, the plane landed in a neighboring city.

Lu Zhiyan had contacted a resort in a neighboring city early in the morning. Lu Zhiyan carried a suitcase in each hand, while Nan Xu leisurely followed behind him with a coffee in her hand.

Once in the car, Nan Xu handed Lu Zhiyan her half-finished coffee. Lu Zhiyan thought Nan Xu was being considerate, and he was about to take a sip when Nan Xu interrupted him, saying, "I just asked you to hold it for me; I need to touch up my makeup."

Lu Zhiyan looked at Nan Xu, seemingly speechless at her behavior, "You...you're really something."

"Thank you, but don't love me too much." Nan Xu gave Lu Zhiyan a kissing emoji.

She was too smug to understand the meaning behind Lu Zhiyan's words.

They arrived at the resort hotel quickly, and Nan Xu took off her coat. Although they had dressed lightly when they arrived, even the thin coat was unnecessary once they reached the neighboring city.

After all, the highest temperature in the neighboring city right now is 26 degrees Celsius.

Nan Xu took off her coat, revealing a red halter-neck mini-skirt underneath.

Lu Zhiyan looked at Nan Xu's deep V-neck halter dress, his gaze darkening, and he silently swallowed.

Lu Zhiyan took the room key and opened the door. They had booked a sea view room, with the ocean right outside the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Nanxu stepped onto the balcony, smelling the sea breeze blowing in her face, and smiled broadly.

"This is what a vacation should feel like, this is what relaxation should be like." She stretched and yawned as she faced the sea.

Lu Zhiyan watched Nan Xu's retreating figure, a smile curving his lips. He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, watching Nan Xu.

"Lu Zhiyan, what do you want for lunch?" Nan Xu walked in from the balcony and lay lazily on the bed.

"What do you want to eat?" Lu Zhiyan took the clothes out of his suitcase and put them in the closet.

"Since we're at the beach, let's eat seafood. Order a hotel set meal and have it delivered. I don't want to walk right now."

"Row."

"Oh right, bring me my swimsuit. Let's go out to sea together tonight. Aren't the stars brighter over the sea?" Nan Xu's eyes sparkled as she enthusiastically discussed the moonlight over the sea with Lu Zhiyan.

“Okay, then I’ll book a yacht and take you out to sea tonight.” Lu Zhiyan said, still busy putting clothes into the wardrobe.

If you're going to play, then you should have fun.

Nan Xu looked at Lu Zhiyan putting his clothes away all alone, and a sudden pang of guilt welled up inside her. She walked to the suitcase and took out the high heels from it.

Lu Zhiyan looked at Nan Xu, who was engrossed in packing her luggage, and suddenly laughed, "What? Do you feel guilty seeing me packing my luggage all by myself?"

"Maybe," Nan Xu said without looking up.
