Chapter 154 Hope is an Illusion

Lu Zhiyan then realized that he had been too nervous.

"The way you're talking makes it sound like I'm imprisoning you." Lu Zhiyan picked up a drink from the shelf and put it in the shopping cart.

"How can you not eat vegetables?" Without saying another word, Lu Zhiyan took a box each of spinach and lettuce from the shelf and put them into the cart.

Nan Xu pursed her lips. Fine, she'll buy it then, since she wouldn't eat it anyway.

Back home, Lu Zhiyan was busy in the kitchen, while Nan Xu, feeling sleepy, lay down on the sofa and drifted off to sleep.

Even after Lu Zhiyan washed the vegetables and put them on the table, Nan Xu still showed no signs of waking up.

Lu Zhiyan brought the hot pot to the table, and just a minute later, Nan Xu woke up from the smell.

"It smells so good." She yawned and slowly got off the sofa.

Lu Zhiyan untied the apron from his waist and put it aside. He urged, "Alright, come and eat."

Nanxu had slept well, but she was still hungry. She ran to the bathroom to wash her hands before sitting down at the table to eat.

Lu Zhiyan picked up a piece of green vegetable with his chopsticks and put it into the pot. Nan Xu saw this and picked up a piece of meat with her chopsticks and put it into the pot as well.

The slices of meat were very thin and cooked quickly.

Nanxu was so hungry that her stomach was sticking to her back. She couldn't wait to pick up the meat and coat it with the dipping sauce in the small bowl.

Seeing Nan Xu's gluttonous eating, Lu Zhiyan's lips curled up slightly.

When you like someone, you find everything they do incredibly cute and pleasing to the eye.

"Eat some vegetables." His voice was lazy, with a hint of helplessness.

Nanxu shook her head. "I don't want to. I don't like vegetables."

Seeing that Nanxu wouldn't listen to him, he didn't continue arguing with her about the benefits of eating vegetables.

If you don't like it, that's fine. You can just take some vitamins later for the same effect.

Zheng Zhi opened the door with a cold expression and went in. Huang Yixuan stood in the entryway and helped him take off his suit jacket.

Zheng Zhi didn't answer and went up the stairs to the second floor.

He walked to Zheng Wen's bedroom door and gently knocked. "Wen, may I come in?"

A choked, hoarse voice came from inside, "Come in."

Upon opening the door, one sees Zheng Zhi sitting on the sofa, with the trash can overflowing with tissues, and tissues scattered around the trash can and on the table as well.

He closed his eyes tightly, hoping he was seeing things.

He still couldn't believe that Zheng Zhi and Lu Cheng had divorced.

How could they get divorced? They were clearly very much in love before, how could they just get divorced like that?
