Chapter 63 Threat
"Hey, who is the blind one looking for death?"

Aunt Hai screamed miserably, hugged her legs and rolled on the ground, cursing loudly.

Tang Qiyue walked up to the fisherwoman, helped her up, and checked her condition. Her face was swollen, obviously from being beaten. She must be in serious condition.

Fortunately, there was no blood oozing from the waist and abdomen, and the wound should not have been torn again.

When the fisherman saw Tang Qiyue appear, her face turned red. She didn't want Tang Qiyue to see her in such an embarrassing state, but she also understood that if Tang Qiyue hadn't appeared, she might not have survived.

She could only whisper her thanks.

Tang Qiyue helped the fisherman sit on a stone at the door, then looked at Aunt Hai who was lying on the ground swearing.

Someone has already poked Aunt Hai, asking her to look at the person who did it and not to be so impatient as to curse.

Aunt Hai didn't take it seriously at first, but when she saw Tang Qiyue standing next to the fisherman, the dirty words in her mouth seemed to be blocked by someone and she couldn't make a single sound.

I don’t know what she was thinking. Her eyes rolled around a few times and suddenly she hugged her legs and started yelling loudly on the ground.

"Oh, Goddess of the Sea, please look at me, an old woman. I'm about to be bullied to death!"

Aunt Hai didn't dare to curse anymore, but thinking of Tang Qiyue's special status, she started to make trouble.

The blood drained from the fisherman's face. She knew her mother-in-law too well: a typical shrew and a selfish bastard.

At this point, she knew without thinking that it was her mother-in-law who was causing trouble. She hurriedly pushed Tang Qiyue away, as she didn't want her mother-in-law to depend on Tang Qiyue.

Tang Qiyue did not move. If she dared to move, she would be prepared to bear the consequences.

I saw her holding down the fisherwoman and letting her sit there to have a good rest, while she walked over to Aunt Hai and said, "I don't know if you have asked, but I can treat the disease!"

Aunt Hai was stunned and forgot to even yell. She just hugged her legs and looked at Tang Qiyue.

He was covered in dust, his gray hair was messy and fluttering in the wind, and his face full of wrinkles could not hide the viciousness under his drooping eyes.

Aunt Hai spat: "I don't care if you can treat a disease or not, you broke my leg, you have to pay for it!"

Tang Qiyue squatted down and stared at Aunt Hai's legs with a smile: "Then how do you want me to compensate you?"

Aunt Hai opened her mouth and said, "One hundred yuan!"

But she knew the current prices of goods outside. One hundred yuan was not a lot, but it was definitely not a small amount, enough for the fishermen's household expenses for a year.

Tang Qiyue laughed: "Auntie's legs are only worth a hundred yuan?"

Aunt Hai was stunned. She thought she was asking for too much, but she didn't expect that the other party didn't care at all. She immediately changed her words: "I was wrong, it's one thousand!"

Tang Qiyue suspected that Aunt Hai’s concept of numbers might only go up to one thousand, otherwise she wouldn’t have just added one zero.

The people watching the fun couldn't help but gasp. They knew Aunt Hai was greedy, but she dared to speak like that just after being kicked. Wasn't she afraid of being stuffed to death?

Who knew that Tang Qiyue nodded.

She actually agreed with this statement.

Aunt Hai sat up happily and stretched out her hand to ask for money.

Tang Qiyue looked at the dry old hands spread out in front of her. If it weren't for Aunt Hai's bad character, just looking at her hands, she really looked like a hard-working person.

But you can’t judge a book by its cover. Even though she is destined to work hard, it still cannot change her character.

"What does this mean?" Tang Qiyue looked at Aunt Hai with a puzzled look on her face, as if what she had just said was all unreal.

Aunt Hai stretched out her hand again: "Money, don't you want to pay compensation?"

The surrounding villagers also looked at Tang Qiyue, but Tang Qiyue smiled and said, "Yes, you have to pay compensation, but I won't pay you. You have to pay the fisherman. Your son stabbed her twice, and you dared to ask for a thousand for a kick in the leg. If he stabbed her twice, wouldn't you have to pay 20,000?"

Aunt Hai was stunned for a long time before she reacted. She got up from the ground and pointed at Tang Qiyue's nose and cursed: "You little bitch, you dare to blackmail me!"

She stretched out her hand to hit her, but Tang Qiyue just raised her foot, and Aunt Hai was so scared that she shrank her neck and took several steps back.

Many people couldn't help but laugh when they saw this scene.

This Aunt Hai is very annoying because she is unreasonable on a daily basis. She thought that no one in the village could deal with her. She never expected that she would be dealt with by an outsider, Tang Qiyue.

"Little whore, you actually watched me being bullied, are you tired of living?"

Aunt Hai didn't dare to do anything to Tang Qiyue, so she directed her anger at Yu Niang. Yu Niang grabbed Tang Qiyue and protected her behind her while she faced the vicious mother-in-law.

"Mom, even a dog will bite when it's angry! I've died once, so I'm not afraid of dying again. The worst that can happen is that we can die together!"

The fisherwoman spoke the most vicious words in the calmest tone.

When Aunt Hai saw the look in the fisherman's eyes, she wanted to say something harsh, but she was still scared.

She brushed the dust off her body and told the fisherman to get out, swearing at her.

The fisherman's wife walked up to Aunt Hai and whispered something in her ear. Then Aunt Hai's face changed drastically and she ran away.

This scene was incomprehensible to all the villagers who were watching the fun. Some of them couldn't help but ask, but the fisherman's wife just gave them a cold look.

There was depth in that look.

It's like a demon crawling out of hell, making people feel scared.

The fisherman's wife pulled Tang Qiuyue back to the courtyard, and the people who came to watch the fun left one after another. No one was idle, and everyone had to work to make a living.

When I entered the yard, I saw that the house was in a mess. I thought that the valuables in the house had been taken away by Aunt Hai and her people.

Even when she wanted to pour a glass of water for Tang Qiyue, Yu Niang couldn't find a complete bowl. She could only smile bitterly: "I'm sorry to make you laugh. I didn't expect my mother-in-law to be so heartless!"

Tang Qiyue asked her to sit down and rest quickly. Although her medicine could make the fisherman's wound scab over, its effect was weak after all, so she still had to heal it slowly.

"Let me check your wound!"

Tang Qiyue let Yu Niang lie down and checked her wound first. Only after confirming that she was recovering well did he feel relieved. However, he sighed when he saw Yu Niang's face.

"Since you were sure you could drive them away, why did you let them beat you?"

The fisherwoman touched her face, and the pain from her swollen cheek reminded her of what she had been through.

"That's just a way of exchanging lives for lives. It shouldn't be used unless it's absolutely necessary. My mother-in-law just didn't react for a while. When she does, she'll probably retaliate!"

The fisherman did not hide her threat to her mother-in-law. She actually said that as long as she was alive, she would take everyone in her husband's family to see the Goddess of the Sea.

Tang Qiyue sighed. How can she live with domestic violence and an inactive mother-in-law?
Perhaps because she felt that the fisherwoman's experience was too tragic and she really couldn't bear to watch it, Tang Qiyue asked:
"Have you ever thought about leaving the island?"
